My blazers are probably the most hard working items in my wardrobe. When they used to only be worn to the office, now a blazer is perfect to throw over a jumper in Winter or tee in Spring, drape over your shoulders for effortless sophistication or wear over a party dress on a night out. Black / white / checked or beige. Double-breasted or a tux style, it's a great piece that will be your go to item. My advice would be to buy quality as this determines the shape / fit and also the finishings like buttons and stitching. This one i'm wearing is a vintage M&S one that I picked up from pre-loved site Manifesto Woman. But I also have a great one from Sofie Schnoor that I love. I like mine to be a slightly longer length. But if you're petite, opt for one that stop at the hip and if you have big boobs, avoid a double-breasted style and instead go for one that's a softer fabric in a longer length and avoid any fussy lapels. A blazer instantly gives a casual outfit like this a bit of an edge and if teamed with a super cool bag and some jewellery, then you're good to go! Believe me when I say white jeans are NOT just for the ultra slim. I am a size 14-16 bottom depending on where I shop, and I feel totally comfortable wearing these jeans. The reason is that they are the right shape for me. Slightly loose, mid waist (who even does low rise anymore!) and always cropped to the ankle. These ones are Missguided from ASOS and I have them in black too. The shape is perfect. I have teamed it with last seasons pink chunky knit from H&M and a pair of hiking boots from Office. Other outfit ideas: white jeans look really good when teamed with a similar colour palette. Try an off white/ cream chunky rollneck and white boots. Or a vintage tee, black blazer and heels. Or in the summer a loose fit tee and Birkenstocks. They're versatile and completely wearable. Plus they will fit in nicely to the capsule wardrobe from yesterdays post.
