this piece is inspired by an experience i had walking home one day back in high school. i saw a bluejay (fun fact: another type of corvid) writhing around on the street trying to fly but being unable to because its foot was stuck in a black plastic clamp. i managed to free it and it got away totally fine. that experience has always stuck with me and this comic felt like a great way to memorialize it. <3
