What if Dolly and Spotted Elephant swapped places, where Dolly fully succumbed to being a toy in the human world while Spotted Elephant still managed to retain enough sanity/humanity to return to Toyland?
I want you to know just how much emotional pain went into imagining and writing this scenario. I hope you suffer too.
Spot would have somehow held his mind together...at least long enough to get back to Toyland with Charlie. Maybe a budding romance would have formed. Who knows?

T. rex Madness Round 4: Fossil Specimen (Sue FMNH PR 2081) vs. Fossil Specimen (Rexy AMNH 5027)
Fossil Specimen (Sue FMNH PR 2081) – Arguably the most famous of all T. rex specimens. Discovered in 1990 through impressive luck and observation by the fossil’s namesake, Sue Hendrickson, Sue is also one of the best T. rex fossils, being 90% complete by bulk. Following a lengthy dispute over ownership, Sue was put up for auction, inciting fears that the fossil would end up in a private collection. With the help of various donors, Sue was purchased by the Field Museum in Chicago, and has been a fixture there ever since. Sue’s bones show signs of various injuries, including a parasitic infection in the skull. In 2018, Sue was moved to a new room at the Field Museum, featuring an updated assembly and an informational exhibit featuring the world in which Sue lived.
Fossil Specimen (Rexy AMNH 5027) – AMNH 5027, colloquially known as “Rexy,” has been a fixture of the American Museum of Natural History for over a century. Rexy was discovered in 1908 by Barnum Brown and was the first specimen to provide a complete skull and neck vertebrae, thus advancing our knowledge of T. rex. Besides its value to science and the museum, this specimen also served as the inspiration for the skeletal T. rex in the Jurassic Park logo, as well as the animated T. rex skeleton in the Night at the Museum series.
