Cleopatra's beauty secrets

Sugaring- A natural hair removal that has been said to been practised by Cleopatra herself to keep her skin smooth and hairless which was considered the beauty standard in Ancient Egypt.

Dead Sea Salt- It is believed that Cleopatra used to frequently exfoliate with fresh dead sea salt to achieve soft skin.

Milk Bath- Hippocrates wrote that she used sour milk from 700 donkeys to bathe in. Milk in general contains lactic acid which mildly exfoliates the skin.

Royal Jelly- She used Royal Jelly from bees to moisturise the skin

Rose water- She used rose water to purify her skin as well as a scent and perfume to air around her

Aloe Vera- She rubbed Aloe Vera on her skin every day for smooth and soft skin. It also was believed that the plant was from Gods and could cure anything from baldness to insomnia.

Green Malachite- She used the bright green malachite paste on her lower eyelids and lapis luiz stone on the upper eyelids_(warning do not do this if u dont want to become blind xx)

Shea Butter- It is said Cleopatra kept jars of unrefined Shea butter for her smooth skin

Oils- It is said she used different oils from Moringa Oil to castor oil on her skin to fight aging from fine lines to wrinkles

Clay Mask- She used clay masks as a beauty treatment which could draw out impurities from the skin

The Glass Coffin Mocktail! In honor of my most beloved and favorite Saw trap 5ever :)

#my recipe #Okay so some tips is the lemon juice will taste less artificial if it is freshly squeezed #But thematically I think the artificial is better and I personally like it more #Sugared rim is optional but fun to sugar a rim you just get the glass wet and turn it around upside down in a little dish of sugad #Sugar but I’m not retyping that #Simple syrup is 1 part water 1 part sugar just boiled together in a pot #Club soda and tonic water are BASICALLY the same. Club soda is more sweet and tonic water is more bitter #They can be used interchangeably most of the time. This is one of those times #If you want to make it a COCKTAIL and not a mocktail it’s pretty much a lemon drop with extra steps so just go with vodka #This recipe image has less flair to it because this is a less. Well the flair is in the drink itself #I’m tagging this as #saw v #but that’s it for theming related tags #The grenadine is the blood going on the glass btw (the glass is the clear liquid base)

How are you investing 🍬 or extra money? I started trying to learn about stock investments during the panorama. I lost just under $5k playing around with crypto 😭 but I learned (and still learning) a lot about financial management. I recently moved $10k from my HY savings account to a CD. I was dating a finance guy and he told me to open up a CD because it’s a higher interest rate and he matched my initial deposit 🥰 There’s so much to learn but it’s much better than letting money sit & collect dust!
