i don’t mean to be an asshole because this is obviously subjective, but people will really be like, ‘most iconic boy group looks of 2020!’ and it is literally all just: ‘can you see their abs? are they wearing black, suits, chains or harnesses?? is it a ‘dark’ concept??’ and i’m so disappointed tbh. what’s ‘iconic’ about any of this? this kind of styling and concept is literally one of the biggest trends in kpop right now, there’s nothing new or even that controversial about it, since everyone and their mother is doing it. at this point this stereotypical bdsm look is so boring and vanilla that i can’t wait for it to go away tbh.
full offense but apart from very few exceptions (changmin and got7 (call me biased if you want, but there’s also other groups that i like here, so your point is useless) + idk them but i like dongkiz looks and overall concept. it feels like it has actual personality to it and i’m interested in checking it out tbh), it literally all blends together to me??
this is honestly an attack on me personally, because when people have actual iconic styling and fashion that challenges expectations, people will shit on it all the time, and i’m a bitter and petty bitch. colours? fun patterns?? weird shit?? who cares, i only care about darkneeeesssssssss.......... peak fashion truly (i’m yawning tbh).
(also, having rtk in here and not having oneus’ ‘lit’ stage looks? a travesty. an insult to fashion. but then again what did i expect, it doesn’t fit the aesthetic, i guess. colourful, fun, traditional korean concept with a lot of wonderful little details? nooooooo, we can’t have that. also ‘be mine’ and ‘come back home’ were cool as well, if more subdued looks, because they fit the more theatrical concept oneus had in both performances, and throughout rtk in general. but i’m not surprised because you all didn’t appreciate oneus as you should on that show anyway. i mean i wonder why one of the groups that didn’t do the typical dark, cool, dance heavy concepts didn’t do as well as the others, lmao. but that’s a story for another day.)
