Proof
Here’s our story:
A story I don’t always know to be
About us
A story I think that might be mine only,
A story you’d never claim.
When we met I saw you as nothing
But I considered you,
Like a new theory,
Like a strange concept.
But it was stupid,
It always was,
Always would be.
And still I tried.
And still I approached you—
And passed, too,
For that girl was prettier,
Like the flowers
I would photograph
As I knew you were talking.
Between the summer heat,
The vibrant flowers,
The buzzing bees,
The lonely breeze,
I thought I’d be alone again.
But night brings something new,
Something so wrong for me,
Something I had prayed for,
And prayed against.
Day arrives and you’re still there,
Day arrives and I consider not just you
I consider this life,
I consider a new happiness.
It doesn’t feel so conspiratorial anymore,
This is not theory,
I might just find proof.
Soon I think I know you.
Scarier still,
I think you know me,
And I let you.
It’s different.
The concept of you
Is so far from what I had
Most don’t leap before stepping, but I dared to,
Like I am on the moon,
But I am just in the pool.
Then — there!
Fireworks!
Sparks!
Electricity!
It’s real!
It surprises me, first.
Then a cold emptiness,
Because you’ve left.
There’s something I have from then,
I still have it.
And I suppose it’s on paper
I keep my hope.
They’re my records.
This is a record, too.
A closeness
Physical, and unphysical
I was hanging on to my proof
I just needed more evidence —
But you,
With the last pieces,
Eluded me.
When you were finally gone,
I knew it.
“I’m so stupid,
I’m so stupid”
No theory like you
Should be considered.
But I couldn’t stop
Trying to prove you,
Not when I’d put so much time
Behind my solution.
And I grew more attached still.
And this, too, is a story that’s not over.
There’s an unsent message,
Somewhere,
Waiting for me to pick up my proof.
Unanswered questions sit in my inbox,
In yours, too.
I’m sending you the final proof
In a couple months.
Or maybe I won’t.
Maybe I’ll finally admit my stupidity.
Maybe I’ll give up.
But I’m sure you’ll get my proof someday.

Cruel summer 1 - P.SH

Summer flings — they hurt more than they give. There is something oh so painful about them that just keeps drawing people in. All good things come to an end right? Then why start?
Word count: 3k
Warnings: none
Series masterlist
‘’Good afternoon passengers, this train will arrive at its end destination in approximately ten minutes, please take your luggage with you and don’t forget to check out.’’ You heard the conductor call over through your headphones. You gathered your stuff, ready to depart the train as you looked outside to recognize the view of your standard summer location.
When you stepped out of the train, the view of this particular train station felt nostalgic. You rolled your suitcase to the side to take off your sweater since the heat was too much to bear with the thick piece of fabric on, which you treasured when the air conditioning in the train almost made you freeze your hands off.
After tying your sweater to your bag, you made your way out of the exit of the station. It wasn’t a big town, but a busy tourist location with beautiful beaches and delicious food. You inhaled the fresh summer air, sighing contently before checking your phone to see your aunt’s text that she was waiting for you in the parking lot. You pushed yourself through the people trying to find the familiar car before you already noticed your aunt standing against it. You noticed she dyed her hair dark brown again after being a fake blond for years, even though both looked good on her since you thought she was gorgeous. The two of you were always really close since there’s a pretty big age gap between her and your mom. Even though she’s way younger than your mom, she reminds you of her a lot as she was practically raised by your mom.
This place was the usual summer place your family came to. Since you started uni last year, you had moved to another city,  so you decided to come straight here instead of going home first. Your family would arrive in two days, so you and your aunt had her beach house for yourselves.
‘’My favorite aunt’’ You yelled, making her lift her head immediately to see you stumbling towards her with the many bags you had.
‘’Y/n’’ She yelled, jogging towards you to take the bags out of your hand before hugging you tightly ‘’I missed you!’’ She exclaimed, squeezing you a bit harder.
‘’I missed you too.’’ You said, pulling back as you both walked towards the car. You threw your stuff in the trunk before getting in the car, taking in the nice smell of your aunt's car.
‘’How’s the shop doing?’’ You asked, referring to the coffee place your aunt owned. It was one of the best in town and the tourism in the summer made it extremely busy. ‘’Still, a job left for me?’’
‘’Busy, but I can handle it’’ She said, ‘’You don’t have to help, it’s summer, you should enjoy it more. I can always ask your mother’’ she added, making you violently shake your head.
‘’I love helping, don’t worry about me’’ You insisted, making her chuckle.
After arriving at your aunt’s beach house and dropping off all of your stuff, she suggested you go to the newly opened diner at the corner of the street. You complied, changing into some comfortable clothes and making your way toward the recommended place.
It was 90’s inspired — a huge neon sign placed above the entrance that said ‘open’ and the specials were of course milkshakes and burgers. The bell rang when you opened the door, alerting everyone of your presence as you made your way toward the counter.
‘’Welcome, what can I do for you?’’ The waitress asked, smiling politely before you ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a coke. A classic.
You sat down in the far back as you watched some people outside gather their stuff to leave the beach. You noticed a group of surfers making their way out of the ocean before your eyes were locked on one particular person. A tall guy with dirty blonde hair unzipped the front of his wetsuit, revealing his toned torso as he laughed with two other guys in the group. He ran his hand through his hair before grabbing a towel to dry himself.
Wow.
Your staring got soon interrupted by the waitress placing down your food before you thanked her briefly. Your eyes automatically go back to the stranger only to find him nowhere in sight, wondering why you haven’t seen him before.
At first, you had a lot of friends in this town. Summer was always a blast, but you haven’t visited for two years because your mom got sick. It took two summers for her to heal completely. When you came back last year, all your old friends had either moved away, or found another place to spend the summer. Not that you mind, you have no problems with spending time with your family.
The bell of the store rang, making you glance up from your food before widening your eyes as you saw the group of surfers enter the diner. You had to stop yourself from staring at that one person again, quickly averting your gaze to the other ones. Five of them were wearing swimming shorts as you recalled them from the sight before, the other three must’ve joined later on as they wore casual jeans. You recognized one of them — you remember his name being Yunho as he often came to your old friends’ parties. The other 7 weren’t familiar. They were undoubtedly all really handsome, but you couldn’t help but feel drawn to the dirty blonde you noticed earlier.
From a closer view, you could inspect his face a bit more. Which was obviously a bad idea since he could probably feel you boring holes in his face with your eyes. He turned his head towards you, locking eyes with you before you quickly glanced away in embarrassment. You could feel your cheeks heat up because he definitely just caught you staring.
Good first impression, there Y/n.
You munched on your fries, pretending to be interested in the view of the beach as you tried your best not to avert your eyes. They sat down in the booth next to you, going on about their day which you took as a good moment to wrap your burger in a napkin to take it home and leave the restaurant.
‘’She definitely had her eyes on you’’ Jongho said, referring to your not-so-sleek staring earlier on, as he patted Seonghwa on the shoulder.
“Never seen her before’’ Seonghwa replied in a dry tone, hiding the fact that he thought you resembled his ex a lot, the nervousness in his stomach when he first saw you still evident.
‘’I know her, used to see her at parties a lot,’’ Yunho began, ‘’But haven’t seen her in a few years, she’s really nice though.’’ he said, grabbing his phone to see if he still followed you on Instagram.
‘’Well one thing is for sure: she was hooked on Seonghwa the moment we came in’’ Jongho said to which Seonghwa quickly changed the subject to stop talking about you and your intimidating gaze that made his heart ache as it resembled something he used to love.
You woke up because of the immense heat. Throwing your blanket off your sweating body, you sleepily made your way downstairs to get a glass of water. You checked your phone to see it was around nine in the morning which meant your aunt was already opening up the shop.
You gulped down the glass of water, still not refreshing enough, so you texted your aunt you were off to the beach to swim a bit.
Making your way upstairs again, you let your hair loose before changing into a bikini and some linnen shorts. It was already super hot out, so you decided to not wear a t-shirt over your bikini top, which was a simple white top. You took all the necessities needed for the beach before walking out the door.
It only took a block to get to the beach. Breathing in the fresh air as you laid down your stuff. A few people were already sunbathing, the morning being way calmer than the afternoon, since kids will come later on, disturbing the quietness of the breeze and the calming waves.
You took your book out of your bag, laying down on the towel after taking off your shorts to tan a bit. You didn’t notice the group of guys a bit further away, making their way on the beach towards the volleyball area close to you. Your earphones blocking out the sound and your eyes focused on the book.
That is probably why you were so startled when a ball suddenly landed next to you, your head snapping up to see who threw it.
You saw the familiar person jogging towards you, an apologetic smile on his face as he picked up the ball next to you. ‘’Sorry, my friend has pretty bad aim’’ He chuckled.
‘’It’s fine’’ You said, waving it off with a smile, ‘’You’re Yunho, right?’’ you recognized him from the past years because who was able to forget his adorable smile and soft tone. Not to mention how incredibly handsome he is.
‘’You remember me?’’
‘’Of course I do, parties at your place were always the best’’ You smiled, making him laugh, recalling the good times of summer a few years ago.
‘’I actually have one again this Friday, wanna come? relive old times?’’ He asked, the guys behind him already waving for him to come back to resume the game.
‘’I’m not sure..’’ You trailed off. You had zero friends in this town, Yunho being the only one you slightly knew. So how would it be a good idea to go to a party yourself?
‘’It’s okay, you can come if you feel comfortable’’ He reassured, ‘’You know where I live, the party starts at 10’’ He added to which you nodded before he walked off with a wave. The eyes of the other guys were all on you, probably wondering about what the two of you were talking about.
You continued reading your book. They had moved a bit further so the chances of the volleyball hitting your face would be smaller. The ash blond’s eyes were still on you though, stealing glances every now and then. After a while, the churns of your stomach became louder, indicating that you probably need breakfast.
So you got up, taking your stuff before your phone started buzzing as you walked away.
‘’Mom?’’ You answered the call, putting your shoes back on.
‘’Honey, are you at the house? We’re waiting in front of the door’’ Your mom replied, making your eyes widen.
‘’You’re already here?! I’m at the beach but I’ll be there in a second’’ You replied as you started walking towards the house, enjoying the sunny weather on the way.
You sprinted towards them as your mom accepted you with open arms, squeezing you as you hugged her. It had been half a year since you saw her but it felt like years, same for your dad. When your mom broke from the hug, saying how much she missed you, you hugged your dad with the same energy. You were lucky to be this close to your parents, part of it being that they supported your every choice.
After moving your parent’s stuff in, you and your mom went to your aunt’s café for lunch (and your still not eaten breakfast) while your dad went out for drinks with his friends. You were still considering going to the party though, it was tomorrow night and Yunho’s house was only a block away.
‘’Why didn’t you let me know you were coming today?’’ You asked your mom, taking a bite out of your sandwich.
‘’We wanted to surprise you, but your habit of sleeping until 12 has disappeared’’ Your mom laughed. ‘’We thought you would be home’’
‘’The habit is still there, it was just way too hot this morning so I went to the beach while it was still early and quiet there’’ You said, ‘’Which reminds me, you remember Yunho right?’’
‘’Of course I do, why?’’
‘’He invited me to a party tomorrow night, but I don’t know if I should go’’ You sighed, your aunt taking a seat next to you as you snacked on the olives.
‘’I think you should, Yunho is a nice guy’’ Your aunt said, making you look at her confused ‘’What? He comes here often to get coffee’’
‘’I agree, see it as a way to make new friends’’ Your mom added, making you whine. They made you feel as if you didn’t know how to make friends at all, like this was a good ‘opportunity’ for a child to get to know more people. You were 22, it should be a blast to go to a party to drink and kiss random people. Your anxiety just got the best of you sometimes, plus being in a room of sweaty bodies can never come close to taking a relaxing night walk on the beach.
‘’I’m not a ten-year-old, I don’t need summer friends’’
‘’I’m leaving’’ You yelled before exiting the door and making your way over to Yunho’s house.
Your mom and aunt had convinced you to go, leaving you no choice as they practically gaslighted you into thinking this would actually be a good idea. You were wearing a summer dress, hair up in a high ponytail and make-up done perfectly matching your red dress.
When you arrived at the spot though, the anxiety made you almost turn around as you got to the realization that you actually don’t know anyone and the place was so crowded, it would probably take you 30 minutes to even get to Yunho.
You simply just made your way inside. Everyone was too busy with themselves to even consider your presence which was extremely annoying since you weren’t as nice as to say ‘excuse me’ to every human in your way. So you just shoved them to the side, until one shove particularly resulted in you bumping into someone, spilling the red drink all over his white shirt.
You gasped, your hand flying to your mouth as you looked at the stained shirt in horror.
‘’I am so sorry’’ You quickly said, spotting a napkin on the table and quickly grabbing it to wipe the spot without even looking at the stranger’s face. When you didn’t hear a reply, you looked up, meeting the dark brown eyes you were so mesmerized by in the diner yesterday.
Your mouth almost formed an ‘o’ in surprise as he just looked at you, no particular look on his face making you pull back immediately. You cocked your head in confusion as if you were having a staring contest with him. Why wasn’t he answering?
You waved your hand in front of his eyes. ‘’Are you okay?’’ you said, looking up at him with an apologetic smile.
‘’Have we met before?’’ He asked, low voice sounding so intoxicating as you barely heard him because of the loud music.
‘’I don’t think we have’’ You were still confused, did he even feel the drink sticking to his chest?
‘’You should clean your shirt before it stains. You pulled him with you, back to where you noticed the bathroom when you walked into the house. He simply followed you without saying a word.
You took a hand towel, wetting it with water before lifting his shirt and scrubbing the stain on it away as much as you could. Luckily, it was a small pink stain and it was almost unremarkable after a few more scrubs. You could only see the wet patch of the water, which would probably dry after a while.
‘’You ruined it’’
‘’Excuse me?’’ You raised your eyebrows.
‘’Watch where you’re going next time’’ He replied, not sparing you another glance as you almost laughed in his face because he couldn’t be serious. However, he already walked away from you, leaving you with a perplexed look on your face.
This was going to be a long night….

Just a little something I made to go along with my take on @eddiesbvckley sentence prompt. The Summer We Met is now posted on my AO3 under the same title.
Prompt: Buck meets Eddie on that beach in Peru and he’s the one who convinces Buck to go to L.A.
Summary:
“What?” Evan asked dumbly, blinking when he realized the gorgeous man in front of him said something.
The man chuckled and Evan found himself leaning closer, as if his center of gravity suddenly shifted towards this man and this man alone.
“I asked if I can have a beer,” The man repeated, his smirk never wavering even as it seemed to soften around the edges.
“You can have whatever you want,” Evan breathed, before flushing a brilliant shade of red. A breathless laugh escaped the man and Evan grinned in response.

“i know this was only a summer fling,
but there’s still an ache in my chest
hidden deep beneath the surface.
tucked away behind ribs that have turned to shell.
cracking because of pressure.
being repeatedly beaten black and blue,
as the artery hasn’t been broken
only simply has been bruised.”

The Summer Girl by Elle Kennedy
 5 stars
Tumblr media
Okay, that took a turn and gave me a big sucker punch in the feels! But before that, this was a sweet and sexy story with the awkward girl and the player boy. Attracted to each other but building a friendship first. She has baggage, he has confidence, and they have a lot of fun together. They had a great dynamic, they had awesome chemistry, and they had genuine reactions. That made that turn all the more painful when it happened, but that also made the changes in their lives that came about because of it, all the sweeter <3

series masterlist
Two hours in and the humidity was almost unbearable. The sweaty bodies just got more and more and if it wasn’t for the dark-haired human puppy next to you, you would’ve left before even entering the place.
Also, it would’ve been a bit better if the other man next to you would stop talking your ear off with all the questions he had for you, not that you had anything better to do though.
You learned his name is Wooyoung, and honestly, you immediately hit it off with him because he was so extroverted— it made your introverted self a little more talkative.
Because after your little disaster with the still anonymous ‘bad boy’, you tried your best to find Yunho. It took a whole lot of bumping into people to finally locate the tall man in the backyard. You remember him immediately leaving the game of beer pong to introduce you to his other incredibly handsome friends who were, lucky for you, not complete dicks.
And here you were, a drink in your left hand that Wooyoung got you and the eyes of that one weird person on you continuously. Yunho made him introduce himself to you and the interaction was once again rather awkward and displeasing. His name is Seonghwa. That’s all he told you and that’s all you needed to know.
Maybe he was a sociopath, or he didn’t really know how to talk to girls— scratch that, you saw him swapping saliva with some other girl not too long ago. Whatever the reason was, his pretty face is just a deception of what a real dickhead he actually is.
‘’You’ve never surfed?’’ You gasped at the red-haired boy in front of you.
‘’I just don’t like the sea and whatever might be in it’’ He shrugged, running a hand through his newly dyed red hair.
‘’Hongjoong’s a pussy’’ Wooyoung said, making Hongjoong cock his head with a scoff.
‘’Just kidding, take a joke Joong’’ He quickly added when the red-haired got up with a challenging look on his face, ready to fight Wooyoung.
‘’I bet Y/n has never surfed.’’ Seonghwa spoke up making you turn your head in surprise because of his audacity to just assume things about you, after not even trying to be nice. If you had a blacklist, he would be on it already.
‘’I know perfectly how to surf, Seongwha’’ You bit back, not even realizing how quickly you felt attacked by him as his intimidating demeanor.
‘’You should join us, show us your skills’’ Yunho said, making Wooyoung agree immediately as he already started planning when you were able to join. You settled on tomorrow later in the day so you could sleep in after this exhausting party.
‘’I think I’m gonna head home…’’ You told Yunho later on when the attention shifted to another subject you were not familiar with. A lot of people had left already, and the music wasn’t playing as loud as before.
‘’Want me to walk you home? It’s pretty late’’ He suggested.
‘’It’s not that far, I’ll be fine’’ You insisted, getting up and placing Wooyoung’s head — which was resting on your shoulder as he slept peacefully after drinking far too much — on the soft couch and finishing the remains of your drink before telling the others goodbye, except Seonghwa, who was not even looking at you.
Yunho walked with you to his door before talking to you a bit more about how you learned to surf and if you still have all the equipment for tomorrow. You agreed to take Yunho’s surfboard tomorrow since you didn’t have yours anymore. The talk lasted until someone showed up behind Yunho and pushed him to the side gently, Seonghwa’s face appearing in the dim glow of the light outside Yunho’s house.
‘’I’ll help clean up tomorrow, Yun’’ He said, making Yunho nod as he made his way outside with a wave.
‘’Aren’t you going to the same area as Y/n? You guys should walk together’’ Hongjoong suggested as he walked up behind Yunho, your eyes immediately widening before violently shaking your head. ‘’It’ll be safer, it can be dangerous at night’’
‘’I’m not a babysitter-’’ Seonghwa started.
‘’I don’t need a babysitter’’ You cut him off, earning a groan from Yunho.
‘’Stop being so childish and start walking’’ He supported Hongjoong, gesturing you to go with Seonghwa who was looking just as bothered by the situation.
You walked off first, blowing past Seonghwa as he rolled his eyes and waved the guys goodbye. You were walking fast, but Seonghwa’s long legs easily kept up with you. You were keeping yourself from talking since you didn’t want him to think you had any interest in him, but the question was just bothering you.
‘’I don’t understand why you don’t like me’’ You stopped walking to look at him.
‘’Are you that full of yourself to think everyone has to like you?’’
ouch.
‘’Fine, why do you hate me?’’
‘’I don’t hate you’’ He plainly said, making you huff in annoyance.
‘’You’ve been mean to me the entire night’’
‘’Why do you care what I do?’’ A smirk formed on his face, the golden glow of the streetlight illuminating his face perfectly. You wanted to punch him just as badly as you wanted to kiss the smirk off his face because of how good he looked like this.
‘’Well since I won’t get a proper answer out of you, let’s try this again’’ You looked down before looking back at him with a smile on your face ‘’I’m Y/n Y/l/n, nice to meet you’’ You extended your hand for him to shake.
‘’What are you doing?’’ He asked, confusement lacing his tone as he stared at your hand.
‘’I want to start over, on the right path’’ You smiled, keeping your hand in the same place. Your gaze probably so demanding it almost scared him off.
But he scoffed before placing his hand in yours.
“Park Seonghwa’’
-
You decided it would be a good idea to get lunch at the diner first before you went surfing with the boys. So you sat down, once again at the booth in the far back as you waited for your sandwich to arrive. It was still unclear to you why Seonghwa asked you if he’s met you before.
Of course, he could’ve seen you here the first day, but that wasn’t a meeting. You swear you’ve never seen him before, or any memory with him was washed away in the time you spend busy studying for the university you wanted to get into so desperately.
It was hard when your mom was sick, but she always wished you to graduate from a good university. So when her sickness got worse, studying as hard as you could felt like the only thing you could do for her. When she cured, you were glad you did, because the university was amazing and the job offers you’ll get from graduating there are plenty.
Getting lost too far in the trail of your thoughts you didn’t notice Seonghwa walking in and ordering a milkshake to-go until you looked up to see someone sliding into your booth. He was dressed in a black shirt paired with a pair of jeans.
‘’Aren’t you going surfing?’’ You asked, referring to why he wasn’t wearing something more casual if he was going to the beach.
‘’We can’t surf, it’s too dangerous because of the wind later on’’ He replied, cocking his head at your ignorance. ‘’Yunho said he’d let you know’’
‘’Well, he didn’t’’ You scoffed, a pout almost forming which you refrained from showing, because why didn’t he let you know? You noticed the dark clouds while you walked here but you didn’t realize the wind was that rough today, making the thought pop into your head that maybe Yunho didn’t care about you.
Seonghwa noticed your thoughts as a frown was forming on your face.
‘’Yunho’s really forgetful sometimes, I’m sure he didn’t mean to’’ Seonghwa said, this being the first time you heard his tone so soft.
‘’This is new’’
‘’What do you mean?’’
‘’You’re being genuinely nice’’ He laughed at that, making you smile in return.
Something changed when you reintroduced yourself to him. The walk home yesterday night was surprisingly fun and he found out all kinds of things about you since you somehow can’t stop talking.
You told him how fall is your favorite season, how you actually like rain, and your major in university. The usual 5-minute walk took way longer since you were so immersed in talking with Seonghwa that you missed the turn to your place. When he got home, he regretted being so weird to you earlier that night, but you just reminded him so much of his past love, who broke up with him in a cold-hearted way, that he couldn’t help but be annoyed with your face.
After talking to you more, he realized how different you are, the complete opposite of her.
‘’Sorry I forgot I was talking to you,’’ He said teasingly, ‘’I’ll go back to my usual self then’’ he added as you rolled your eyes before landing your gaze on the beautiful waves.
‘’I wanted to swim though….’’ You frowned again, looking upwards to see the grey-covered sky. The ocean water was always a perfect temperature to swim in which you haven’t done yet since you came here.
‘’We can go to the lake’’ He suggested, while innocently taking a sip of his shake.
‘’What lake?’’
‘’I’ll take you’’ He said, making you look up surprised.
Seonghwa must’ve noticed the bewildered look on your face as he shrugged it off immediately.
‘’You don’t have to come with me, I was going anyways’’ He obviously lied as he wasn’t planning to go at all. He just wanted to get to know more about you, wanting to get to know what was behind those wandering eyes of yours. However, he didn’t want to pressure you, knowing his exterior was not gentle.
‘’I’ll see you around, Y/n’’ Seonghwa said in a low tone, getting up to leave.
‘’I’ll come with you’’ You mindlessly said, making him look at you in surprise before nodding his head as you gathered your stuff to leave. ‘’Do you have a car?’’
‘’I have a bike’’ He said while he fumbled in his pockets to find the key.
‘’A bike?!’’ You laughed because, cute.
But when you turned the corner, in front of you stood a black BMW motorcycle, Seonghwa getting the helmets out of the storage space under the seat.
‘’Oh’’ You added when you saw the so-called ‘bike’
He turned to look at you, finding you with a shocked look on your face, making his mouth turn to a smirk, handing you the helmet before he got on it. You were standing there unsure what to do before he tapped at the seat behind him. ‘’Get on, and wear this jacket’’ He handed you the leather jacket.
You gave him a doubtful look before wearing the jacket and climbing on, not sure what to do with your hands as he started the motor. He accelerated which made you shoot forward, your hands immediately grabbing onto his waist as he chuckled.
‘’Hold tight’’ He said before speeding away from the parking lot. You had to keep yourself from screaming at first, hands clutched around his waist and you wondered how he was able to breathe from how tight you were holding onto him. After a while, you opened your eyes to find out you were driving through the woods. You stayed close to Seonghwa, your face nuzzled in his light sweater as you smelled his strong cologne.
He pulled over next to a path leading into the woods, before stepping off the motorcycle as he glanced at you. He chuckled at your unsure face at what would be the best way to step off, before he helped you, his hands coming around your waist as he lifted you off it with ease.
‘’Why did they make it so hard to get off?’’ You leaned against the tree next to it as you took off the way too big helmet and his leather jacket before handing it back to Seonghwa. He just laughed at you, amused by how you tried to hide your flushed cheeks.
‘’Let’s go’’ You followed him into the woods as the lake appeared through the trees. There was nobody around and the only sounds you heard were your footsteps and birds chirping.
‘’You said you were already planning to go to the lake, but you’re not wearing clothes to swim?’’ You remarked, noticing the black jeans he was wearing that looked really good on him.
‘’This is a good place for thinking, if I wanted to go for a swim I could just go in my underwear, you know’’ He smirked at you, making you roll your eyes once again.
‘’What do you usually think about when you come here?’’ You asked, pushing him to the left so he wouldn’t step into the rabbit hole he probably didn’t notice.
‘’I’m going to start thinking you actually care about what I think’’ Seonghwa replied, as he walked on the deck of the lake.
‘’Fine, didn’t want to know your deep thoughts anyways’’ You scoffed before looking at the pretty view, your mouth almost opening in awe.
‘’You wanted to swim, go for it’’ He pushed you towards the edge, catching you just before you fell in with your clothes on. You turned around to push him back, but he caught your wrists just in time, holding them in his grip as you tried to wriggle out of them. He tugged you a bit closer, making you stumble as you fell against his chest. You looked up at him, his plump lips being so close you could feel his breath on yours. As if time stopped, his eyes were only focused on your lips, not realizing you could easily see the desire in his eyes.
‘’The last one in the water is a loser’’ You whispered against his lips, getting out of his grip before taking off your loose dress, revealing your black swimsuit before taking off your shoes and socks. He was fast, but the jeans took longer as you dove into the water when he was busy with his shoelaces.
‘’Unfair’’ He yelled before jumping in next to you.
Both of you swam deeper into the lake, admiring your surroundings as his eyes were on you. You looked back at him, his wet hair falling on his face and the drops of water making their way down his sharp jawline. You leaned your head back in the water, enjoying the quietness of the lake.
‘’Why did you ask if we’ve met before?’’
‘’I thought I knew you’’ He replied.
‘’Is that the reason you were so cold to me?’’ You asked, remembering the look he gave you when you spilled the drink on him, thinking it resembled recognizing someone you didn’t end up on good terms with.
‘’You just made me think someone I used to know, at first glance’’ He began ‘’You’re nothing like her so you don’t have to worry about me being cold to you anymore’’
‘’As if I ever worried about it’’ You scoffed, making him smirk at your defense.
‘’Good, we can change the subject then’’ He said, thinking about something he could ask you instead, before settling on the one question on his mind.
‘’Are you dating someone?’’
part 3 coming soon…..
