Note: I went to Sick New World festival in Las Vegas this past weekend. Nearly died from heat stroke/exhaustion, but it was worth it!.

2nd note: These HCs are about rock/metal music festivals/concerts with mosh pits, walls of death, etc.

Captain John Price

• Avoids the mosh pits and wall of death. He's too old for that shit!

• Need water or electrolytes? He's your man! Stay hydrated! Probably has a fanny pack with electrolyte packs

• He also has sunscreen and extra towels. If it's during the summer and in the middle of a desert. Carries extra bladder packs for hyradtion backpacks.

• Will take pictures and videos for you while you get your ass shoved around in the pit

• Has snacks so you won't have to spend money on the expensive food there.

• Is annoyed by the crowd surfers. One of them knocked his hat off, and now he can't find it!

• He is literally the dad for your group! 😂 if you're crowdsurfing and you get hurt. He will pull you out of the pit and will not let you go back in.

• But he still has a great time

Simon "Ghost" Riley

• You pretty much begged him to go with you and the others to the event

• If it's during the summer, he'll wear a more summer appropriate type of clothing

• Wore his balaclava. He has a weird tan line on his face now. He didn't reapply it again after 2 hours.

• Might (he will) let you sit on his shoulders so you can get better photos/videos

• Like Price, he will carry extra water and sunscreen.

• Doesn't go into the pit. Enjoys watching others get shoved around though.

• Like Price, he also hates crowd surfers.

• Because he is a big guy, the moshers throw themselves at him. They're like mosquitoes to him, annoying AF.

• Will protect you if you don't go into the pit, but you wanna take video and photos. He's willing to sacrifice his sanity to let these small moshers shove and bounce off of him from behind

Johnny "Soap" MacTavish

• Is the crowd surfer that knocked off Price's hat

• Will go into the mosh pit, and wall of death over and over and over until he physically can't do it anymore.

• Might be a bit (or a lot) bruised afterwards. He's a heavy sweater.

• "Boom" by P.O.D is his song 😂😂. Lost his shit when Korn played "Shoots and Ladders" because of the bagpipes at the beginning.

• Doesn't listen to Price on putting on sunscreen and not hydrating. Too high on the concert/festival vibe, will probably pass out at some point.

• Is a rotisserie chicken afterwards. Burnt Soap!

• Will yell "SCOTLAND FOREVERRRR!." at any given point

• Probably wears a kilt and no shirt 😂. Like I said he's a rotisserie chicken now

Kyle "Gaz" Garrick

• Like Soap, is a crowd surfer and will go into the pit!

• Unlike Soap, he will hydrate and put on sunscreen every few hours.

• Loses his hat quite often but finds it eventually. He also wears a wet towel under his hat to keep cool.

• He wears one of those hyradtion backpacks and never takes it off. Only to refill it.

• Will record himself on crowd surfing and hope he doesn't drop his phone in the crowd.

• Him and Soap are pit survivors and will say it with confidence! Especially if there are guys twice their size in the pit, shoving them around.

• He might get a little sunburnt, but it's not as bad as Soap's. Is high on the festival/concert vibe and energy

Alejandro Vargas

•Goes into the pit, but doesn't crowd surf. He sees it as a way to release energy.

• Came prepared. Water, electrolytes, sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, snacks. More prepared than Price.

• Makes sure you apply sunscreen every few hours. Will do it for you while you take photos. Buys you something to eat, an actual meal. Not a snack.

• Will let you sit on his shoulders to get a better view of the stage. Will also take photos and videos for you.

• Will sing along with passion! No matter how horrible his voice is 🤣

• Regrets daring Soap to crowdsurf while Gaz following behind on it. Will not tell Price though 😂

• Will protect you from the pit! No one will hurt you! He'll gladly take some crowdsurfers foot (Soap) to the face! Or the back of the head.

König

• Oh boy. Poor baby absolutely HATES crowds! Especially crowds with 40-60,000 people in the heat.

• Was reluctant about going with you and the others, having an internal battle with himself. But decided to go against his anxiety. He does his best to avoid the pit.

• You made sure he stayed away from the pit. All that shoving, and running around is one of the many ways to trigger his anxiety.

• But on the bright side, he can see EVERYTHING! His face is protected from the sun. His hood is super helpful, but he still applies sunscreen.

• He makes sure you and the others are hydrated. Like Gaz, he also has a hydration backpack.

• He will take photos/videos for you since he can see everything that is going on.

• If he were to get caught in the pit, he will freeze out of fear. You, Gaz and Soap will have to drag him out of it and back to safety, with Price and Ghost most likely.

• He'll have to take a seat somewhere in shade away from people, but he does have good time. Probably won't go to another concert/festival again for some time, or ever.

Les Amis & Co: Beach Day Edition

Because it's summer and I had to

Enjolras:

My guy, he's so pale he needs an entire bottle of sunscreen to not get sunburnt. And he really doesn't care, everyone is after his ass holding the sunscreen, trying to 'at least cover his back because he'll be looking like a blonde strawberry by the end of the day'. Brings only a towel and his wallet or sth. Wears his swimsuit, flip flops and a t-shirt.

Combeferre

The dad of the group. Makes sure everyone has sunscreen on amd everything they need and you can hear him yelling "DON'T FORGET YOUR HATS" every hour or so. With every opportunity he gets, he's dropping random facts about the sand, the sea, the random crab grantaire just found etc etc. 80% of the time he's reading a book in his lil beach recliner chair. Brings an entire backpack filled with everything anyone could possibly need at the beach. Same kinda outfit w enj's, just with sneakers (bc he's driving everyone there) + a nice hat

Courfeyrac

He cannot put his ass down. Homeboy is always hyping someone up to play games. Beach rackets, volleyball, whatever. He and Gavroche sre having a BLAST. Nags to Combeferre about having to wear his hat the entire time. Brings a small bag w his stuff + another one filled with beach balls, rackets etc. Swimsuit + unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt and a funky bucket hat

Grantaire

Vibes around drinking beer. The type of friend to splash water on everyone while they're trying to get into the water (particularly Enjolras). Goes looking for random shit on the rocks. Brings a fanny pack for his phone and cigarettes. Towel?? Don't know her. Shows up only in a swimsuit and at some points, he takes it off for shits and giggles

Bahorel

Have you ever been to the beach near a cliff side and there's this one mf who climbs on top of the cliff to perform an epic 11 meter backflip into the water? Yeah that's Bahorel. Bitch just goes around looking for ways to possibly get hurt. He doesn't. Deffo has a paddle board. Gets a crazy ass tan. Brings only the bag for the board and puts the rest of his stuff in there. Wears one of these shitty low armpit shirts. And a 'women want me fish fear me' baseball cap

Feuilly

He be taking beach day seriously. Brings snacks for everyone, randomly pulls out a sketchbook at some point. Gets excited over cool rocks and spends more time than necessary on making a sandcastle. Cannot go into the water on his own, at least one of his friends have to be swimming as well. His back is red asf at the end of the day. Hawaiian shirt but buttoned up. Carries an extra tiny bag for his book and sketchbook.

Bossuet

Somehow, he'll find a way to get stung by a jellyfish (and grantaire will almost immediately offer to pee on him). If not, he steps on a sea urchin. Or gets his leg scratched on a rock. But still he manages to have fun. In charge of the aux chord. Is extremely annoyed by grantaire and his splashes. A standard bag, has a t-shirt on but it obviously falls into the water by accident so he has to be shirtless on the way home (Musichetta and Joly don't mind at all). Lost his hat :(

Joly

Speaking of joly, mf's crazy over sunscreen. At least 3 times a day, they apply a new coat, hydrate every 10 minutes and will not let ANYONE go into the water if they've eaten anything, not after at least 2 hours pass by. Pull up wearing a speedo, jorts and a short sleeved button up. Amd a big ass hat. Huge af beach bag.

Jehan

It's their time to shine. They spend most of the time posing for pics but at the same time they're kinda shy abt it. Went into the water like once. One of these 'beach please bags'. They're wearing a flowy summer dress and like swimming shorts and a bikini top kinda thing. Staw hat person

Marius

He's dying inside. Bro's under the umbrella, watching everything, hoping time will eventually come for them to go home. Courf tries to get him into the water and he succeeds. Unfortunately, les amis do not let him go, they force him to be a part of the summer fun and at some point, he starts enjoying himself. Gets sunburnt. Bro shows up in jorts snd a polo t-shirt and changes into his swimsuit there (also he's definitely one of those guys who keep their underwear underneath). Unironically wears a fedora hat. Carries 26383 bags + Cosette's bc he's a gentleman above everything.

Cosette

Photographer of the group. Takes pictures of everything and everyone. Also takes videos of the stupid shit grantaire does and makes sure they o over to the gc immediately. Provides everyone with data, she's the hotspot friend. Jehan is her main model. Tries getting a tan, fails. Short flower dress over her black bikini and sandals. Matching straw hats w jehan.

Eponine

Omg sis has 2 siblings to take care of. Runs after Gavroche and Azelma all the time to keep them from doing stupid shit. She and bahorel do swimming competitions. Has like a big ass water bottle (joly approved) because she always gets dehydrated. And Gab and Azelma never drink water, ever. Doesn't go for a tan, still gets a great one. Old crusty bikini and just jean shorts over it. She'd like to go topless but isn't all for it yet. Has to carry her siblings stuff as well.

Musichetta

Ok sis is a great swimmer. She's in the water 24/7 vibin, swimming, playing games. No-one can get her out of there. She doesn't really eat much but if. There's any juice, she is drinking it all up. She loves her beach juice time okay? One piece swimsuit and a see-through coverup tied around her waist. Just a small beach bag is okay for her

Gavroche

As soon as they arrive, lil bro's in the water playing already. Then he pulls out water guns and declares war on everyone. Annoying little shit, but they all love him so much. Courf keeps him occupied by playing with him all the time. No one complains. Eats all of Feuilly's snacks. Begs Eponine to let him do stupid shit with bahorel. She does NOT give in, so he just finds a small rock to jump off of into the water nearby. Creeper swimsuit.

Azelma

Quieter than her brother but she follows along. Hellps Feuilly w his castle. Keeps Marius company when she's not in the water. Cosette asked her if she wanted her pics taken and she was ECSTATIC. Flowy dress and a flower pattern one piece underneath.

Bonus Montparnasse:

Floatie guy. Bro has like an inflatable donut and once it's in the water, he's off. Falls asleep on it and someone was to swim like a mile away to bring him back. Brings very few stuff with him. Like grantaire, just a swimsuit is fine

Bad Batch Headcanons - Skin Conditions

I’ve had this on my mind for way too long now and I NEED to write it down.

For context: I think that their mutations and “enhancements” had some side effects and actually made them more sensitive or gave them some other issues, this is one of many. Maybe Regs have to deal with this too, but I’m running with the Bad Batch for now.

TW: skin conditions, acne, eczema, a little blood? self-harm and injury

Hunter

first of all - he has like the most sensitive skin ever

I’m talking unscented, only natural ingredients, ph-neutral, everything you can imagine

soap made from ash, lime and oil, like, really specific and gentle shit

but on the other hand worst mixed skin ever, goes from crazy oily to dryer than Tatooine at least once a week

he’s either looking like a glazed donut or a shedding lizard

he’d straight up put cooking oil on his face bc “oil is good for dry skin, right?

someone tell this man how to take care of himself istg

bandana hides his greasy roots

bandana may be tied in different styles to hide his dandruff

he‘s highkey insecure about it

he‘s shedding like a dog, his hair is everywhere

in the shower, on the bed sheets, in the food if he cooks

if he ever shaves, doesn’t matter where or how he’s getting the worst razor burn and ingrown hairs ever

he’s getting all the issues

also, a big candidate for body acne?

he gives me back acne vibes

doesn’t wash his bedsheets or towel nearly often enough

they actually all (accidentally?) share a towel and never wash it, I’m convinced

Tech

his skin is dry af like, eczema / neurodermitis / psoriasis dry

especially his hands and joints, like the inside of knees and elbows

and around his eyes, especially because of his goggles/glasses, but also in the corners

he researched everything but sometimes just can’t help it and almost scratches his skin off

Hunter makes him wear cotton gloves when he goes to bed

that’s why he never sleeps

Crosshair straight up ties his hands with bandages so he can’t scratch himself

also a very dry scalp / dandruff candidate

should spend all of his time moisturising

tinkering around the marauder and getting into contact with motor oils/hydraulic liquids/fuel only makes it so so so much worse

doesn't wear skin protection, especially not gloves because it 'inhabits his motor functions'

don't get me started on his nails and nailbeds, because I can see how inflamed and irritated the skin is

the skin also peels off

except for a big pore / blackhead here and there

usually around the nose or on his forehead

literally the guy who either doesn't use soap or uses the same bar of soap to wash everything

actually gets a sunburn often, especially on his head, but refuses to do anything about it

turns into a lobster on uv-light-intense missions

red skin, really tight and shiny

sometimes, if crosshair is feeling really mean he gives him a brotherly slap on the sunburnt shoulder

he gets mouth sores sometimes, like cold sores?

also very attractive to mosquitos? he sweats a lot

scratches his mosquito bites so there are little scars all over his body

really random but occasionally he gets like one big aggressive butt pimple and can't sit for a few days

is very vocal about said butt pimple

he's also getting all the issues

had very bad acne as a cadet

especially around his chin and cheeks to the point he straight up refused to take off his helmet

now that he's done with puberty he has a bunch of acne scars left

still breaks out sometimes

very sensitive to water - he just washes his face like usual and suddenly breaks out because that particular planet's water is 'weird'

so much acne but dry af skin, it's hard to combat

skin picking as self harm

aggressive nail biter; not only the nails but the skin around it

he's actually one big hangnail

and his nailbeds and sides are always inflamed

toothpicks to stop him from picking his skin

or to try to stop him from smoking but this is not a mental health / addiction headcanon

I'm convinced he has the ugliest, driest old man elbows and knees, I just know that they look weird

technically a reg, I know

but his prosthetics sometimes don't sit right, so there's a lot of friction and a high risk of irritated skin, blisters and sores

he's so pale - not surprised at all if he gets sunburnt quickly

reminds everyone to use lotion / sunscreen

- susan is the airport dad, reverend is drunk by the time their off the plane, dutch is already wearing his hawaiian shirt

- they live in a big house by the beach with a pool and hot tub, john got too drunk on the second day and fell in and hosea yelled at arthur to get him

- kieran is still the servant boy who brings everyone their drinks and they expect him to

- hosea and dutch get wayyy to drunk on the first day and make fools out of themselves but their having fun so it’s fine

- the girls love getting ready to go to family dinners (when pearson doesn’t cook)

- sadie and abigail take baby jack into the pool and ocean (baby jack has a duck raft)

- half of them are sunburnt af bc they don’t want to use sunblock

- by day 3 john is bright red on the beach wearing abigail’s sun hat and javier’s poncho

- arthur and charles sit in beach chairs staring out into the ocean with bud lites in their hands

- lenny and sean go on side quests then randomly come back and go the furthest into the ocean which makes susan nervous and annoyed

- micah disrespects the locals and has his beer belly out all the time

- strauss planed the funding for the trip but they did not invite him and left before he could say anything🤭

- bill is actually having a good time and being fun while trying to make fun drinks for everyone (trying to get kieran to play bartender with him)

- grandpa dutch and hosea play with jack in the pool

- dutch likes the hot tub ofc

- uncle is having the time of his life and him and javier play their banjo and guitar together a lot

- the youngins will smoke a j secretly and reverend will pop out of nowhere quietly asking for a hit (sean thinks its really funny)

“Don’t forget to pack the sunscreen” you reminded Jack as he gathered all of the bags for the beach day.  You were getting Jade dressed, so you didn’t want to be bothered to double check. “I don’t want you to be miserable the rest of vacation” you reminded him.

“You really think I would forget “he laughed “especially after what happened last time?”  The last time the family did a outside activity, both Jack and Hazel burned pretty bad. 

All of you collectively got in the car, and started your drive to the beach. You were so excited, it would be the first time Jade was seeing the beach and you knew how much Hazel loved the water.

When you arrived and set up all of your belongings you begged for Jack and Hazel to come over to you, noticing that they were already pink across the nose and shoulders. “C’mere” you motioned at Jack who guided Hazel toward you. “My poor babies” you giggled and Jack rolled his eyes “did you already put some on Jade?” You nodded “yes, of course papí.” He smiled and you motioned for him to sit, him being too tall for you to reach his shoulders standing up.

You walked around with Jade collecting sea shells. After a few hours at the beach you and Jack decided it was time to head back to the hotel. Both of the girls were tired and you could see that both Jack and Hazel were getting redder by the minute. When you got back to the hotel and everybody took a shower, you notice that both Jack and Hazel were worse than you thought. You knew better than anybody, that Jack was going to milk this for your attention, you thought it was cute but you didn’t mind.

“Oh my god, it’s bad isn’t it?” Jack looked at his back in the mirror. Hazel was luckily only sunburned on her nose and cheeks, “daddy you’re really red!” You took the aloe out of the hotel fridge, always being one to plan ahead “come here you two.” Jade was napping so you knew she was fine.

“Mommy it hurts” Hazel pouted and you sighed “I know bug, it would’ve been worse if we hadn’t used the sunscreen.” You put some aloe on her nose and cheeks, kissing the top of her head and motioning for her to go lay down and watch cartoons.

Jacks was worse, and he was already wincing before you touched him. “I’ll be gentle baby” you whispered as you lightly patted in the aloe. “That’s freezing” he sighed and you laughed “you’re so dramatic Harlow, you know that?”

He laughed “you love me though.”

“I do” you hummed, giving him a gentle kiss.
