Green Grocer Cicada (Cyclochila australasiae)

Conservation Status- Unlisted

Habitat- Southeastern Australia

Size (Weight/Length)- 4 cm

Diet- Tree sap

Cool Facts- Called a green grocer when green in color and a yellow monday when yellow, these cicadas are one of the loudest insects in the world. They create a piercing buzz noise by flexing their timbal ribs along their carapace, their call reaching up to 120 decibels. After repeated exposure to a noise this loud, people can experience hearing loss. Of course, the green grocer uses its call to attract mates with louder calls being the most attractive. These cicadas live up to seven years with the majority of their lives spent underground as nymphs. Only their last six weeks of life are spent in their adult form.

Rating- 12/10 (Only 20 decibels quieter than a jet engine.)

the third way to fall in love is not rare, either. and if you guessed that it happens when one singular instance, a speck of a moment in time, really--sometimes innocuous, sometimes revelatory--happens and the ground beneath you shifts while you hover in place just a few minuscule millimeters off the ground, and changes your perception entirely that you ever wonder how in the hell you ever missed it, then you'd be correct.

Mark Grayson - The suffering for Mark doesn’t stop, he can’t catch a break and neither can his team. Since the show is in the Chicago area primarily, no better choice than to pick the Chicago Bears.

Debbie Grayson-I’ve always had a head canon on her being from California, specifically the Bay Area, so the San Francisco 49ers are the best fit.

Nolan Grayson/Omni Man- At first, he didn’t know or care what football was until Art got him into it. He’s never really had a specific team he liked, but just “favorite” players, such as Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, etc (the all time greats)

William- Literally will pick which ever team has the hottest players in the league

Amber- Detroit Lions, roots against Mark whenever the Bears and Lions play together (divisional rivals) :)

Eve: Only watched when she dated Rex, doesn’t have a favorite team but finds it pretty entertaining sometimes

Cecil Stedman- This was a hard one to pick, and it’s easy to have him root for the New England Patriots (that’s too predictable of a pick) and he doesn’t like Tom Brady. So he is Packers fan.

Rex- Roots for whoever is on his fantasy football team. (Ends up sucking at it and the loser has to do whatever the winner says)

Good news: I finally finished code-checking and polishing Part 1 of the fencing club route yesterday!

Bad News: My computer promptly shut off and refused to turn back on fifteen minutes after that.

Good News: After eight fruitless hours of trying to turn it back on, I gave up, disconnected all peripherals, and made an appointment at a nearby computer repair shop. On the way out the door, I tried to turn it on one last time...

oh yeah so uh we went to the city today bc i got some clothing vouchers for work clothes from the dept of rehabilitation services and. one of the stores i needed to go to (she couldnt find any stores on the list that sold all the items i need so it had to be broken up) was closed (we were originally gonna go on saturday but dad was sick) and the other store like. got really confused the lady at the desk called over her manager and then he called his manager and she was like "ive never seen this before but it doesnt have the code we need so we cant take it" except idk but i think she didnt understand how it works bc she was saying they need like a government credit card number essentially to charge the clothes onto but my case worker told me (i thought) that the store had to fill out the paper and send it to the office to then recieve payment rather than them getting the payment immediately? anyway im confused and pissed bc i wanted to go on saturday so i could have sunday to recover from the pain of spending several hours in the car but since dad was sick we didnt. and i didnt even get to get the clothes anyway. mom and dad ended up buying me like that one pair of jeans and two shirts from a resell store or whatever its called and the pants barely fit but they didnt have any in my size. what even ever tomorrow is not going to be good but at least once its over with i will know if like . im gonna be ABLE to even do this job. i think i should have enough ability to sit while doing tasks or even maybe take breaks for it to not flare up my pain too much but i literally cannot know until i do it. which is severely fucked up. and the fact that im already going to be in pain from what ended up being a virtually useless car trip and really didnt need to put myself through that, AND on top of that im gonna have to go BACK out to the city this weekend. meaning i will have no full days of leisure for two weeks which means unceasing pain :(
