Nothing better than window shopping on a Sunday evening!

Subhy wanted to go to the game zone. So Jiju took us to a nearby mall. First, we played air hockey, then Subhy went for trampoline jumping and a toy train ride. We had bhel puri. But it was too sweet and not chatpata as a chat was supposed to be. I don't know how to describe it, just that I really regretted eating that bhelpuri. But I had gajar ka halwa on the way back and it was really tasty.

Spent my Sunday evening sewing a skirt. I have been imagining this cute yellow mid-length flowered skirt for a while, but couldn't find the perfect one at any shops, so I decided to make it myself. I bought the fabric, ironed it, pinned it together, drew a pattern, and left it sitting over my sewing table for months. When it came to the cutting part, I suddenly lacked courage to do it. The fabric was adorable and expensive, I was afraid I'd mess it up so I just gave up.

My therapist says sewing is a way to make sense of my feelings. It's how I patch things together, pin them in place, take them apart, cut them, measure them, rip them, and try to make something beautiful out of it. Today, it is about facing my fear of failure.

It may not turn out the way I expect it to. It probably won't. But it will certainly look better than a piece of fabric crumpled up on the corner of my sewing table.

Merklich später, und dem Tag bleibt nicht mehr viel: Staub von Garten und Wald, Sonne und Blütenspuren abwaschen. Nochmal am Fenster stehen, spüren, wie es zur Nacht wohltuend abkühlt. Das Spiel beobachten, dessen Pixel den großen Bildschirm gegenüber fluten. Und dann eine neue Seite vorbereiten für die Woche, Rand für Notizen ziehen, und ein paar leere Gedankenstriche ablegen. Genug für jetzt. Und alles, was sich gerade tun lässt, so kurz vor dem Schlaf, so unruhig am Rande des Abends.
