I'm not just cooking, i'm baking a whole ass CAKE

not 100% happy with the design but I wanted to get it out of my system, I went for darker and more muted colors for Zoro while still utilizing the usual elemnts of his outfit like the sash and the haramaki. also the color palette for the full outfit turned out very tasty, like it makes me think of chocolate and sweets. not sure about the use of haramaki though, I feel like it makes the proportions a bit awkward when everything else is dark, but it does make the shirt fold nicely so I may keep it in the end

now that I'm further into WCI I think I should add a suit version as well for the wedding bit hmmm

My idea for this is after coming to Big Mom's territory and fighting her commanders they get to the Germa carriage just like in canon. Zoro watches Sanji fight Luffy, restraining himself from interfering. He respects Luffy's decision to not fight Sanji back, but the moment Luffy gets knocked down it's Zoro's turn to try and bring the cook around and he's not gonna hold back

a very tense fight ensues

aventurine finds everything you do cute (though he admits that out loud often), but when he notices a habit of yours that he’s sure you haven’t even picked up you do, he finds it absolutely adorable and has made it his phone’s lockscreen. he can’t believe how lucky he is.

unlike aventurine, dr ratio doesn’t admit out loud he finds the things you do cute, but his facial expressions tell it all. so, often times, he finds himself falling in love with you over again when you pay attention to detail, what he doesn’t like, what he does, or even when he mentions something he thought was small but you paid close attention to.

similarly to aventurine, sunday does find everything you do to be cute. but when you’re just there for him, he finds that more adorable than anything else. even if you don’t say anything, your presence (at least in his eyes) is enough to make him feel so incredibly loved, he can’t help it.

gallagher, like mr sunday, finds you being there cute, yes; but when you’re helping him, he has genuine heart eyes like it’s the first time you both met all over again. whether you’re helping him with his bartending or his duties as a security guard for the bloodhound family, he still wants you to know he greatly appreciates it, and that god, you look so cute while doing so.

it was a really charming surprise to find out that the song ncuti and millie performed wasn't pre-recorded and that they literally just had to sing it on the fly while dancing around. most sequences like that would have just been lip-synced with the done up vocals being played in the background which always feels a bit inauthentic, but this just adds to the chaos of the scene and makes the stakes feel a bit more genuine, that ruby and the doctor are actually struggling to come up with this song to offer a proper distraction.

I know we talk a lot about how doctor who will always pick practical effects and costume over 'cgi-ed to a buggery', so I feel like this also deserved some acknowledgement

Don't want to put this on the post itself for risk of derailing it, but that post the other day about Terry Pratchett's early work really stuck in my mind. OP had sent in an ask saying that they heard some of Pratchett's earlier works had problematic elements (not unusual for a male english writer in the 80s) and they weren't sure whether to go ahead with reading the work anyway.

What I really want to ask that person, or indeed all persons who are hesitating over whether or not to read problematic works or works by imperfect authors:

What are you worried about happening, if you read a work with problematic elements?

I'm worried that if I read this art, I will run across hateful images or words that will shock or upset me

I'm worried that I will spend money on a work of art that then financially supports a bad person, and that thought makes me uncomfortable or upset

I'm worried that I will read works of art written by a bad person, and comment or react on them, and other people will see what I am reading and will think less of me because of it, or will assume that I hold the same bad beliefs as the author

I'm worried that I will read works of art written by a bad person, and I will enjoy them, and the author will find out about my enjoyment and feel emboldened to do bad things because of it

I'm worried that I will read works of art written by a bad person, and their badness will contaminate my way of thinking and make me a worse person in turn

Because these are all different answers and some of them are more actionable than others
