Tyler glanced around the backyard of the party, raising a brow before she brought her glass to her lips. She didn’t think she’d be there too long, mostly just making an appearance for her parents’ sake with her boyfriend. He seemed all too comfortable with both families, his arm slung around her waist as he brought her hips closer to his. Green eyes wandered the guests at the party, until she’d made eye contact with one in particular that she seemed to recognize from days past, one that she could distinctly remember having been rejected by.

––––––––––HE FELT BAD. it was the only way to describe the way his stomach was churning away in this moment. they had been nothing but kind to him, but seemingly he couldn’t seem to keep his mouth shut and often got too ahead of himself. and in doing so, he let this sudden bit of news drop. it left him embarrassed and more apologetic than he’d like to be. ‘ forget what i said. it’s not what i meant and i can’t take it back. ’ his voice is barely above a whisper, any form of tenacity that he normally exhibits, merely melted away.

surprisingly ( or maybe not so surprisingly ), this wasn’t the most awkward moment of cailen’s twenty-four years of life on this planet. it certainly was pretty up there though -- she reckons she’d rank it in eighth place in her top ten. because obviously standing in front of your tinder date in just your underwear while they had brought you flowers wasn’t an ideal situation, but she’d certainly found herself in a lot worse. she’ll try and blame it on the two vodka shots she’d taken before the other had informed her that they were on their way too, but even that wasn’t reason enough for how badly she had messed up right now. “ oh, uh .. thank you, ” words are rushed as she’s currently finding herself a little flustered, taking the flowers from the other with an awkward smile upon her features. “ uh, did i misread something somewhere or somethin’ ? i feel like we have two very different ideas of what this was meant to be. ” good thing to point out the obvious she supposes, but really, what else was she meant to say ??

charlie could be a bit of a wild card, it just depended on the setting and who was around him. right now he and his best friend were out at a party after one of charlie’s shifts at the bar. what charlie didn’t expect was to see the person he was currently into and spontaneously got the idea to have his best friend make out with him to get the others attention, but it had happened so quickly, he had found himself attacking his bestie with his lips. he couldn’t help but notice how good of a kisser the other was so he continued, even after they mentioned that the person was gone. “what? shh... i don’t give a shit... you’re a damn good kisser.”
