also, one thing nice that’s happened to me lately is that I went on a trip to Italy and tried a lot of new foods and drinks!! it may not seem that significant on the surface level, but I’ve been really struggling with food issues lately and I’ve always been terrified of trying new things, so I’m incredibly proud of myself for how brave I’ve been <3 I even found some new things that I actually enjoy, which is incredibly rare for me!!

I truly hope that you feel better soon, and I wish you the best. But more importantly I humbly ask that you take good care of yourself even if you aren’t feeling well, and that you eat well <33 I am manifesting piles of your favorite safe foods on your plate 🙏

God this took forever for me to figure out but here:

A Color - Purple is significant to Lathander because it ties in some way to his first and only friends/party members and familiar: Azriel’s holy magic, Phoebe’s eyes, and Althea’s scales are all a deep purple 🥰

A Flower - The gladiolus stands for integrity and strength, both qualities Lathander will need as future leader of the True Dragonlords

An Animal - His pseudodragon familiar is similar to a flying/gliding lizard in size

A Scent - No matter how long he’s been landlocked during the course of adventuring, Tritons are first and always children of the sea

A Song - I have a lot of good ones on his playlist but these lyrics feel especially relevant to him right now at level 6!

A Feeling - Lathander is largely a paladin of duty. He feels beholden to his ancestors, Phaethon and Lazuli, to right the wrongs of his order’s past and lead them into a more just future where they can once again protect the land from the wrath of the Titans 😤

🟠 Orange- What is a trait your OC hides about themself from others? Do they refuse to acknowledge it or begrudgingly accept it?

Lathander desperately, desperately wants love and approval. Due to his cursed lineage he had a loveless, abusive upbringing, with practically his only good personal interactions coming from his swordfighting teacher. At the same time, he’s uncomfortable in the spotlight, fearing that positive interactions may have a hidden blade behind them (as when he got asked out on a date by a woman who was a hag in disguise & tried to kill him at the behest of her evil goddess.) Lots of hangups, lots of desperation.

As a child he found a copy of the journal of his paladin order’s leader, so Lathander grew up idolizing him and seeking to follow in his footsteps. Upon learning the truth about how the leader was a genocidal tyrant, he abandoned seeking that form of approval. I think that took a lot of strength of character. I’m proud of my lil triton 🥹♥️

🟡 Yellow- What is something your OC wants but knows they can never have? How does it feel to never get this specific desire?

More than nearly anything in the world, Lathander wants his parents back. Or, more specifically, he wants to have lived in a world where his parents raised him, instead of dying when he was a child and leaving him to an abusive uncle and negligent aunt. Traveling with a companion who is currently pregnant with her own child and another companion whose goddess is called “The Great Mother” has given him some feelings of jealousy throughout their journey. But now that his silver dragon egg is almost ready to hatch, I think he’s determined to raise the wyrmling and bond with it as a chance he was never given as a kid.
