Is Fireheart aware that, technically-speaking, the Sunningrocks are neutral grounds? Could you imagine his outrage learning that the territory they keep bleeding over isn’t even legally theirs?

He does not know! In fact, most of ThunderClan doesn't. Legally, somewhere in the code, it does say that, so some cats are aware that technically it's meant to be shared. That doesn't matter much to them, though. They want the stupid rocks. The code's been bent before. It's fine.

Thunderclan’s hollow camp is said to be as big as a football field, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Riverclan’s whole TERRITORY had some big rivers, especially considering some of the fish they get.

Yet every time I read about cats swimming, or cats at Sunningrocks, I picture a really short area.

Frankly disgusting hearing this opinion echoed in the fandom and I am so over having this conversation so I am just going to spell it out to you all and hope it makes a god damn difference;

SUNNING ROCKS BELONGS. TO. RIVERCLAN.

Saying they just sit on it is disgusting thunderclan propaganda they made up to show how lazy they are. Any true warrior knows they belong to RIVERCLAN and if you say otherwise you're foxhearted.

So I know this isn’t a current plot point, but I’ve just kinda forgotten aha - as of the chapters being posted, what’s the agreed upon border of sunningrocks and ThunderClan/RiverClan? (ie not what individual cats think it should be, but what is actually marked and where they are allowed to go right now)

Right now, RiverClan has claim of Sunningrocks. Their territory ends at the treeline, which is luckily very abrupt and close to the river.
