author's note. this is veeeery self indulgent bc my exams r killing me so yeah 👍

summary. in which your classmate comforts you when you tear up in class :(

warnings. cursing, reader is in a bad place mentally,, kinda hinting to academic burnout? ,, crying :( + not proofread, sorry!!

with a heavy sigh you plopped down on the chair, putting your bag on the desk. the walk from the bus stop to the university tired you out but at least you got four or five minutes before the classes started. so you rested your head against the bag and closed your eyes, taking in a little more sleep than you could get this morning.

the final season is coming to an end, finally. but weirdly enough, you don’t feel relieved. sure, there’s only three or four exams left – and you haven’t really studied for them but that’s a thing to do the day before, isn’t it? – but you can’t help but feel the exhaustion. your friends chat about how there’s less things to take then it was at the beginning, sure. but the closer you get to the midterm break, the less motivation you have. and the tiredness that accumulated throughout the whole month is seeking its way out.

which is why you’re a mess nowadays. promising yourself to study but ending up doing everything but studying, falling asleep at ungodly hours (and regretting it later)… or shutting yourself down from the world. your friends got used to it, everyone has their lives after classes after all. but you carry on with do not disturb on most of the time, missing out their conversations on chats and tiktoks they’ve sent you. sure, you could’ve read them later – but there’s a sinking feeling of guilt (and a dazzle of overthinking) that you’re such a shitty friend.

all of this causes your negative emotions to bottle up. and you know it’s not a good thing, especially when you feel like you’re about to cry when a minor inconvenience occurs. but you’re stronger than that, no? the thought of locking yourself in your room during the break keeps you alive, pushing the sadness – seemingly – away.

a sudden tap on your shoulder caused you to open your eyes and lazily shift your focus to your classmate, sunoo. you looked around and didn’t see your friends… well, they probably skipped the classes since some of them are careless just like that.

"it’s about to start" sunoo smiled gently and you noticed the way his ebony gaze lingered on you for a while longer. great, you should’ve put at least some foundation.

"thanks" you nodded and took out your ipad, the other hand rubbing your eye. here we go…

"i feel like… some people in this class don’t take my lessons seriously" the professor started and you froze, heart skipping a beat. he couldn’t possibly mean you, right? “the final exam is around the corner and some of you… did not too well on the quiz"

oh, well. it’s definitely aimed at you.

"i’ll hand them out at the end of the class and then run over your mistakes. now we’ll do a revision. and you better listen" the man says and you could swear his piercing gaze is drilling into your soul.

an unpleasant feeling of warmth creeped into your face and once again you curse yourself for not putting any makeup. sunoo glanced at you, a sad smile on his lips.

the professor approached you at the end, when all of the students already left. putting the paper sheet with a nasty P– on it, you frowned. hey, you passed!

"y/n, i’m really disappointed. i don’t know what’s going on but that’s the worst work of yours so far. pull yourself together. there’s so many major mistakes… spellings… it’s not an academic level. you were one point away from not passing this one" his words hit a cord in your heart, your palms beginning to sweat. he patted the paper and returned to his desk, grabbing his stuff.

and you didn’t even know when that happened – your sweaty palms shaking, breath getting stuck in your throat, vision blurry because of tears.

you packed your things and wanted to leave but your legs felt too weak. your professor left, causing you to end up all alone in the room.

you sniffed, trying to wipe out the tears but they seemed to have other plans.

"don’t cry, idiot. it’s fucking embarrassing" you breathed out to yourself, voice barely above a whisper.

"y/n, if you want… oh. are you okay?"

you would normally look up to see who that was but the realization of someone even seeing you in such state caused your face to redden even more. pulling your t-shirt up to hide your face in it, you felt like there was no way out: you couldn’t possibly stop crying. it was like your professor’s words triggered something.

"i’m… hey, it’s okay. did he say anything bad to you? or do?" someone approached you and you shook your head as a no. "can i stay here?"

you hesitantly peeled from your shirt and noticed sunoo. his gaze softened upon seeing your teary eyes, lashes wet and flushed face.

"just… don’t mind me" you mumbled and hid your face in your shirt again. you just couldn’t stand someone seeing you in such state, whether it was someone close or a stranger.

"i… i don’t know what he said but i’ve noticed that there’s something going on with you. and may have heard what your friends said... do you want to talk about it?" sunoo asked gently and all he could hear were the harsh sobs leaving your lips.

"they talk about me behind my back?" you whined, your shoulders shaking even more. his eyes widened. that was not the best thing to say…

"no, no! i mean they said you look really tired lately…" he explained hastily and suddenly you looked up. your shirt was soaked with tears and your face was a mess, your pupils blown and wet stains on your cheeks.

"i’m so tired, sunoo. i don’t think i can handle this anymore… and everyone seems to be doing great… just not me…" you mumbled, sending him a sad smile. the pearly tears balanced at the edge of your waterline, ready to spill. he shook his head.

"you’ve got this, i know you do. you got here somehow in the first place, no? if you want, i can help you. with anything. i’m not the smartest but i do understand some things so…" he stopped talking upon seeing your curious gaze.

"why are you doing this?” you asked, sniffling.

"i just… you’re my classmate in a need of help. i couldn’t stand there and not do anything when i heard you cry. and now there’s no way out, isn’t it?" sunoo joked and his face lit up. oh, this boy was a literal sunshine.

"you said everything?" you mumbled, unsurely. he nodded, a caring smile tugging on his lips "can… hmpfh… can i hug you…?"

the words were so quiet, sunoo barely heard them. but he noticed the begging look in your eyes and who was he to deny? it’s not like he would mind, either.

sunoo just opened your arms and you hugged him tightly, wrapping your arms around his waist. he patted your back soothingly, letting you let out all of your pent up stress.

a part of sunoo’s heart raced because he wouldn’t have ever imagined that he would hug his hallway crush. the other part which caused his heart to race was the embrace itself, your smell and you in general – and he was happy he could help you.

neither of you didn’t have to talk right now. a silent hug that expressed more than a sentences could ever. and both of you knew, sitting here glued to each other and in comfortable silence, that it was a beginning of a beautiful friendship.

"Aww thank you for throwing this party guys.." you thanked the members for throwing you a surprise birthday party. "It was all Jungwon's idea Y/N. You should thank him. We just helped him.." Riki said with a smile on his face as he took a bite out of his cake. Looking at Jungwon with grateful eyes you gave him a hug and kissed him on the cheek as a sign of gratitude and affection. "Thank you so much Won. It really means a lot to me," you say while pulling away "It's nothing Y/N. I knew how stressed you were. This is the least I could do for you." He said as he patted your head and walked away from there. Going back to Sunoo you noticed how he was glaring at Jungwon. Shaking his arm slightly you softly asked, "Why are you looking at Won like that Sunoo?" You say as you hold his arm "Why did you kiss his cheek? I am your boyfriend you know?" He said without looking at you. Chuckling you gave him a light push "Are you jealous?" "Yes I am. Don't do that again." Being in a good mood you just nodded to his words and continued on with your day.

Jungwon

"Aww you're leaving already?" Jungwon saw Y/N ask Sunoo. He observed how Y/N stood up from her seat and kissed him on the cheek before waving him a goodbye. Entering back inside jungwon looked away from Y/N as he ignored her "Jungwon? What happened? Why are you ignoring me?" He heard Y/N ask. Grabbing his arm she shook him only for him to push her away "What happened? Why are you angry now?" She mumbled as she kept on shaking jungwon "Don't tell me you're jealous again. Jungwon, it was just a kiss on the cheek. Come on get over it. You know I won't betray you or anything." You said in frustration "I know you won't but I just..get jealous okay? Please don't do that again. I don't like it.." Jungwon finally said something as he looked up at her. "Fine stop being being so pouty.."

Riki

"Riki, grow up! I did not kiss Heeseung to make you jealous! I did that as sister! It was literally to show my affection..this conversation is going nowhere." You say in an annoyed tone as you sat down on the couch "Oh please, you grow up. Why would you think that kissing Heeseung hyung on the cheek wouldn't make me upset! Of course I would be upset! You can only kiss me on the cheek.." he said softer this time as he himself sat down on the couch beside you "I just...feel jealous when you kiss other member like that." Riki said as he held your hand in his own. "You don't have to be jealous. Fine if you're that jealous I would keep that in mind from now on. Happy?" Riki immediately smiled as he started kissing you all over your face "Very much”

JAY i think jay would be the member to stay the longest/mesh well with a s/o who eats slow. he’s a member that enjoys watching people eat good food (especially if he cooked it) and would probably watch their s/o eat fondly until they finish.

SUNGHOON, HEESEUNG definitely ones who stay behind with you the whole time it’s more out of endearment towards you whereas jay genuinely enjoys watching you eat.

JUNGWON, SUNOO, JAKE would be the type to stay and probably be on their phone, doing their business or holding a one sided conversation so you can eat whilst they talk.

prompts 31. pulling a chair out for them to sit down at the table ; 40. making a goofy face until they notice and laugh ⋅ requested by 2 lovely anons <3 ⋅ dark blood event

“awww,” you squealed, heart clenched with joy due to cuteness overload at the sight of all the puppies welcoming you into their café.

you wrapped your arms around your boyfriend, sunoo, a way of trying to control your overwhelming emotions inside.

“they’re so cute, noo, i don’t think i can do this.”

“you woke me up from my beauty sleep to drag me all the way here. there’s no way we’re leaving when we haven’t even entered the café yet. suck it up, y/n,” he teased before kneeling down and greeting some of the dogs, giving them pats on the head as he smiled widely.

eventually after much persistence of merely trying to make it past the door (you couldn’t resist the infinite amount of cuteness), you two found a table, and upon arriving to it, sunoo pulled your chair out for you, causing you to stare at him with a growing smile, “thank you.”

you sat down before he made his way to the other side and pulled out his own. he stared at you for a second, pondering, “wait here.”

you watched as he hurriedly wandered off toward the front of the café, coming back moments later with a small cup of kibble in his hand.

“here,” he handed it to you, and you received it with a smile on your lips. this behaviour was unlike him—but you weren’t complaining. “i can tell you wanted to feed the dogs. go!”

his thoughtfulness made your heart swell, and you met his eyes before taking his hand in yours, “do it with me.”

he agreed, and you poured some of the doggy treats into his open palm, immediately after, feeding the puppies.

watching the joy emit from your wide smile and the way you kicked your feet in excitement, it was contagious to say the least. if bringing you to places like dog cafés made you this happy, he’d bring you as many times as he could just to see you glow this much.

or maybe…

“i’ll buy you a dog in the future if that’s what you want,” sunoo blurted out suddenly.

you immediately whipped your head in his direction and chuckled, “huh? are you being serious?”

he looked away, trying to hide his growing grin, resorting to giving you a small shrug instead.

you started with a hint of a laugh, “but what’s gotten into you today?”

“nothing, what do you mean? can i not act this way toward my girlfriend?”

“you can, you just don’t—act this nice that is.”

he rolled his eyes and made his classic face of disgust you could recognize anywhere, “that’s not true!”

“mhm,” you let out, very much sarcastic, and you mirrored his previous look with your eyes pushed back and upper lip pulled upward in distaste until he noticed.

“hey!” he laughed, giving you a light push on the shoulder. “i—unbelievable.”

you chuckled and glanced in his direction before your shared laughter began to die down.

he sighed, looking at the treats in his hand as he shook his head, playfully coming to a conclusion, “yeah, i’m not getting you that dog anymore.”

“hey!” you exclaimed.

you loved him.

I had a dream of you last night. A dream where we were together again. I think we were in our thirties, we were so in love. We were married, of course we were! Being married to you, even just for that few hours was the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Do you remember that night in the park? When we stargazed and talked about our future together? It hurts knowing that our aspirations will never happen, how our dreams and promises only exist in my mind now.

We had kids in my dream, they had the names we chose together. They were so beautiful, they looked just like you. When I woke up I thought that my reality was a dream, my brain convinced me that we were growing old together, that we had kids waiting for us after I woke up.

Oh, you remember our manager? The one who always teased us? Well, he got married! I tried so hard to be happy for him, I even smiled the whole day.

You saw that, right? Are you proud of me? I think the members noticed that I wasn’t acting right, they all looked at me with the same look.

I hate pity, but I’m the one who pities myself the most. I just want you to come back, please, I still need you.

It wasn’t your time to go, I wasn’t ready to live a life without you. Why did you have to leave? I can’t do this without you, everything overwhelms me.

All I feel is guilt, guilt that I'm still here and you’re not, guilt that always manages to creep in every night. I feel it the most when I do anything that I know you would’ve loved, but please know I do it for us.

I do everything for you, I don’t know if you can hear me but I need you to hear this the most.

I think I’m going to try to move on. Wait, no that sounded wrong! I'm not moving on from you, please don’t think that!

I just want to be happy again, and the only way to achieve that is by letting you go. I’ll try to stop thinking about you every time I eat, every time I want to do something.

Your death has been holding me back and I was alright with it. But I can see how it’s affecting those around me, they’re just too scared to say anything.

a/n. i’ve been meaning to write this FOR AGES but i have no self control whatsoever, very little time and way too much requests… and this is exactly why i wrote it just now 😭

summary. sunoo being an angel as always after a really tough week and extremely exhausting day, sunoo insists on taking care of you

warnings. none HOWEVER i am not responsible for any slightly suggestive thoughts that may cross your mind teehee

sunoo was watching something on his phone, or so you thought, while you were in the bathroom. he was waiting for you to finish up your skin care so you two can cuddle to sleep.

but he stopped the (rather silly funny cats compilation) video and frowned, listening carefully. you’ve been in the shower longer than usual… and the water wasn’t running right now. maybe you slipped?

just when he was about to sprint to the door to check if you’re fine, they opened. sunoo’s eyes met your silhouette – in his t-shirt and some sweatpants as a pj. your face, however, radiated exhaustion. the water from your wet hair running down your neck, leaving small wet spots here and there on the material of the shirt.

“‘m sorry it took so long” you whisper, rubbing your eye. sunoo leaves his phone on the nightstand, getting up “i just took a shower, i was too lazy to dry my hair or put the products. i think i stared at a wall for like, fifteen minutes”

your boyfriend chuckles and when he comes up to you, you expect to be greeted by a kiss on your forehead. but sunoo grabs your hand and enters the bathroom back again, leading you to the sink.

“what are you…” you murmur, frowning. you are too tired to argue with him or understand his actions, so your words are left hanging in the air. sunoo pats the countertop, next to the sink with your beauty products.

“hop on. let me take care of you, pretty” he smiles sweetly and you stare at him, mouth parting.

sunoo giggles at your reaction and pecks a quick kiss and swoops you in his arms right after, only to put you on the surface.

“you don’t have to” you hum, looking at his face.

“but i want to. and you deserve to be pampered” sunoo grins and reaches for the hairdryer, his other hand pushing your knees apart so he can stand between your legs “let’s dry your hair first, m’kay? if you go to sleep with wet hair, we’ll both wake up soaked”

you let out a tired chuckle and once the warm air hit your face, you let your eyelids rest. sunoo was drying your hair almost like a professional, air blowing in different directions making you chuckle from time to time.

he stopped and ruffled your hair gently. then you felt him brushing the hair back and putting a hairband on your head. you crooked an eye open, meeting his tender gaze.

“hi” he grins, booping your nose.

“hi” you whisper, fully opening your eyes and observing him. sunoo reaches for a cleanser since you already removed your makeup before showering.

you both stay silent when he starts but soon enough as he starts gently massaging your face with the cleanser on his fingertips, sunoo starts to hum your favourite song.

you don’t even notice when your eyelids close again and your head plops downward, forehead bumping onto his shoulder. sunoo let out a yelp followed by a giggle.

“yah, y/n, don’t fall asleep on me. you’ll rub it all over me and i still need to wash it” he hummed, pulling you away gently. with a heavy sigh you nod, trying to keep your head still.

in no time your boyfriend was done and before you realised, your face was all pampered and he took off the hair band gently.

“you snoozed a bit, didn’t you?” he scoffed and helped you with getting off the countertop.

“only because you’re so gentle” you murmured and yawned, grabbing his hand “thank you. so much.”

“of course, angel. did you brush your teeth?" he asked. a blush creeped up on your cheeks as you shook your head as a no "there's no need to get embarassed, you look cute though"

sunoo leaned over to grab your toothbrush. you tilted your head, observing as he put the toothpaste on it. he looked at you, sending you a loving smile before returning to his previous position.

"we'll just do that and then go cudddle, hm?" sunoo hummed and gently cupped your jaw. he opened his mouth, signalling you to do the same.

his fingers on your jaw weren't pressed too tightly nor too loosely. you watched him (yet again, which made you feel like some kind of creep but hey, he's your handsome boyfriend). his brown gaze was focused, brows furrowed. he gently washed your teeth, not forgetting even a single spot.

''mhm, and done. now spit'' sunoo mumbled, letting you go. you leaned over and did what he asked you to, wiping the corner of your mouth. you caught his gaze through the mirror, corner of his mouth tilting upwards ''good girl. now let's go, hm?"

your stomach stirred with butterflies and a wide, sleepy grin sprung on your face. your boyfriend was delighted to see you happy. now his second task, he won’t tell you that though, was to make you get the sleep you needed.

as you fell asleep in his arms, face all pampered and his soft hum lulling you to sleep, sunoo’s heart was pounding against his rib cage like crazy because he wanted to stay like this forever; to stay with you and take care of you, forever.

IN WHICH: Kim Seonwoo aka Sunoo is a Sophomore at Decelis University and has a crush on the pretty Music Education Major Y/n Marsh. Seems like a match made in heaven since he’s also a Music Education Major and has had a crush on her since Freshman year when he met her at orientation… well sort of. He’s a little delusional about her but that’s okay, right? When finally given the opportunity to get to know her and potentially date her some weird things start happening that Sunoo doesn’t quite understand… which leads to the postponement of his grand plan to confess his feelings for Y/n. At the end of the day does he get the girl or does he miss out and think of what could’ve been?
