sunscreen. ੈ✩‧₊˚
a/n: this was lowk rusheddd dont pay any mind to the mistakes !!
warnings: slight smut?? sexual depictions, light swearing maybe
"hey jayj, can you rub some sunscreen on my back? i cant reach.." you say whine as you pick up the open sunscreen bottle on the table next to you, the dry pieces falling into the cracks of the dock and into the merky water below.
jj turns to look at you smiling, taking the sticky sunscreen bottle from you. "of course, looks like you depend on me for everything, huh?" he smirks into the end of his sentence, moving closer to you with every word.
you scoff at the cockiness hes displaying, twisting your body so he could reach your lower back where the sunscreen needed to be applied
he was loving this right now, and you could tell by the way he was beaming with glory once he realized what was happening.
you spin around and your eyes lock with his as hes about to begin the application,"jj. be serious, its just sunscreen"
he scoffs. apalled you would even think of him as unserious, i mean, when has he ever displayed immaturity?
"me? unserious? sweetheart you must be mistaken." jj shook his head as he squeezed the bottle and swiped some cream on his two fingers. you have got to admit, his hands that have been working all day, the rings that had the reflection of the sun on it, and the nickname that had fallen off the tip of his tongue were doing things to you. you werent sure if you liked it or not.
"eyes up here, pretty"
he mumbled as he begins to rub the subscreen into your back. his calloused fingers sending shivers down your spine as you held back a low groan in pleasure.
"wheres kie when you need her, am i right?" jj chuckles behind you nervously, continuing to work his magical hands into you. you just laugh in agreement, still trying to hold back sounds threatening to spill any moment
jj moves into the sides of your stomach and hit a tender spot, allowing an errupt moan to fall
"ohh shitt.."
jj smiles and flips your hair over your shoulder to the front, moving his way up your back. "might have to get you to pay me for this since 'm doing so well.." he gloats, shifting his body closer to yours
you throw your head back a little to respond to him. but it hits his shoulder. now realizing how close the two of you were, you begin to feel a redness creep upon your tan cheeks.
"do you know how you could pay me, darlin'?"
he spoke in an almost whisper, still keeping his seductice husky tone that always manages to do something to you. you dont know what to say to him right now.
your hair blows into your face, almost sticking immediately due to the humidity in the outerbanks right now. he pulls away the few strands that got caught, and pulls you closer by his chest.
you wince at the coldness of more sunscreen being rubbed into your shoulders, almost shutting your eyes completely out of pleasure.
jj makes his hands down to the front of your body, inching closer and closer to the waistline of your american apparel underwear.
" 'this okay?" he mumbles against your neck, planting wet messy love bites all over it. marking what was his.
you almost forget how to speak, realizing what was happening. you wanted to push him away because you knew it was wrong, but your body needed him.
so bad.
"yes."
with your permission he dips his hand fully into your navy blue panties, his thumb brushing across your sensitive clit, making you whimper
all of this, so unexpected, the idea of someone catching you guys on the dock of your bestfriends house made this all so much better, the riskiness of it all turned you on. it turned both of you on.
"what do you want me to do you to, darlin?" jj whispers under his breath, teasing your entrance, waiting for a response. when he doesnt get one, he dips his finger almost in your now soaking pussy.
"huh?"
"everything, anythin' jj, just please do something."
the freudian slip gave him the reassurance he was waiting for, he wasted no time in allowing your walls to surround his fingers. his cold rings inside of you.
a/n: part twooo.??? lmk !!
jj maybank, your bestfriend, has 2 fingers inside of you right now, and youre loving it.

I'm genuinely curious, I don't wear sunscreen unless I'm gonna be in the sun all day or I just put some on my tattoos
Also like throw in the tags what you call it because I know it's one of those things that changes depending on where you grew up

I saw another post comparing regular sunscreen use (eg reapplying every two hours when outdoors) to sleeping on your back “so your face will be symmetrical” or trying to erase your skin texture with expensive creams. so I feel this bears repeating:
sunscreen is a health tool. and you have to use it as directed for it to work properly.
yes, it also has anti-aging benefits, and beauty influencer types seem to only mention that when they talk about it. but like. it’s FOR preventing skin cancer
and how miraculous is that? that we can- to some degree, albeit not perfectly -prevent a form of cancer? something that’s been a scourge of humanity for centuries, even when we didn’t really understand it? it’s incredible!
your sunscreen doesn’t even have to be whatever $100 French or Korean sunscreen aforesaid influencers are shilling, either. as long as it’s been approved by a reputable regulatory body, it can be the cheapo Banana Boat Sport stuff you get at the drugstore. and you don’t have to go to the insane lengths some people do either, like reapplying regularly indoors (unless you work in a glass box building with windows everywhere, I suppose) or wearing it at night
but by spending a mininal amount of money and expending the tiniest bit of effort, you can SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE YOUR CANCER RISK. how is that the same as trying to not have pores, or the “preventative Botox” trend?
if not smoking had been touted only for its aesthetic benefits, would we still all be puffing away like it’s 1955 and dismissing nonsmokers as Just Wannabe Lifestyle Influencers?

Fabric types and summer heat
The world is seeing record temperatures again. A lot of people find little comfort in their summer wardrobe these days, so it's important to be aware of how fabric types can influence your well-being in hot weather.
The following list of fabrics is by no means exhaustive, but it covers the basics.
Some of the fabrics mentioned below are expensive when bought new. You'll often find them for cheap in second-hand shops and on thrifting platforms though. I'm literally wearing a €5 linen underskirt, a €1 silk top, and a €7 silk summer dress right now, just to give an example.
General notes:
If you don't know where to start, try to stick to light-weight fabrics made of natural fibres. Look for light colours and open weaves.
You might be tempted to cover as little skin as possible in order to keep cool, but this leaves your skin vulnerable to sunburn. A thin layer of linen will often be more efficient at keeping you cool than leaving your skin bare.
Don't forget to wear sunscreen! Even if your skin type doesn't burn easily, it will still lower your chances of skin cancer. Look into sunscreens for children if you have sensory issues: they tend to be more sensory-friendly.

Polyester (to avoid):
Are your summer clothes making you ridiculously sweaty? Check the tag: you're probably wearing polyester.
Polyester is a synthetic fabric derived from petroleum: it's basically a plastic. It's strong, cheap, and stain resistant, which makes it a popular fabric. Even though a lot of summer clothes are made out of polyester, it's one of the worst fabrics to wear in summer.
Polyester is neither absorbent nor breathable, and captures heat. It traps sweat between your skin and your clothes, and it won't let you cool down. This leaves you feeling sticky and overheated. It can also cause static cling, which can be uncomfortable.
Not all synthetic fabrics are bad in summer: a lot of UV-blocking clothes are made of synthetics for example and can be a real life saver if you're sensitive to the sun. Try to avoid polyester if you can, though.

Cotton:
Cotton is a natural fibre that makes for a soft, durable, and breathable fabric. It allows air to circulate around your body which helps to keep you cool and get rid of sweat. It's a good basic choice.
Cotton has one downside: it's very absorbent, but takes a while to dry. If the weather's making you sweat excessively, the sweat can pool into the fabric of your cotton clothes. This will make them wet, resulting in visible sweat stains that can feel uncomfortable and will take a long time to dry.
If you can't stand how cotton feels, check out chambray weaves or bamboo textiles. They have similar properties to plain-weave cotton, but tend to be more sensory-friendly.

Linen:
Linen is the absolute king of hot weather fabrics. It's strong, absorbent, dries quickly, and is very breathable. It cools you down, but won't make you feel sticky because any sweat it absorbs will evaporate fast.
I frequently layer multiple thin loose-fitting linen garments when it's hot. Loose layers allow for air to circulate between your clothes while protecting your skin from the sun. It almost functions as a wearable air-conditioner.
Note that linen is prone to wrinkling. If this bothers you, know that linen requires extra effort during laundry to avoid this.

Silk:
Silk is yet another natural fibre that makes for a strong, quick-drying, and pretty breathable fabric. It's soft and cool to the touch, which makes it a great sensory choice.
Silk is not as breathable as cotton or linen, but dries very quickly. This means it might make you sweat more than cotton or linen does, but once the fabric's moist it will dry faster.
Note that sweat stains on silk tend to be pretty visible. Silk's also prone to static cling.
