The mention of Tubbo & Ranboo in your Monster Hunter AU is sending me into orbit because I’m imagining it being like Luigi’s mansion style and Tubbo’s just running around kicking down doors with a weird vacuum cleaner while Ranboo’s literally right above him half submerged in the ceiling DNDKFKGGK

This AU is super cool though and I cannot wait to see where it goes!! <3

i’ll share these shenanigans we joked about in the discord: tubbo sometimes goes on days (or even weeks) long trips for his demon hunting expeditions. one day before leaving, he demon-proofs the house on a whim. salt lines around the doors and windows and making sure every possible entrance is sealed off, the whole nine yards. really wants to make sure nothing gets in while he’s gone and ranboo doesn’t have anyone looking out for him.

ranboo is out getting groceries when he does this. and he forgot his phone inside. this is only day one of ranboo m beloved’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week.

Please tell me more about ur monster hunter au, I’m such a sucker for kid Techno (at least I assume he’s a kid here) in fucked up circumstances! Is Techno actually a vampire or something else? Please just throw any info at me I’m desperate for scraps

ooohh happily!! i’m glad you brought that up - techno is not, in fact, a vampire! phil was right in noticing that there was something off about the bodies to have been killed by a vampire. techno’s actually totally human - sorta.

this au is loosely based around the tabletop role-playing game monster of the week, just because i’m a nerd. techno’s playbook in this game would be “the spooky” - he’s human, but a little off. when phil found him, he’d just figured out how to use the abilities he’s developed (gifted with? cursed? …!) which let him essentially put impulses, desires, etc in other people’s head. for techno, this also comes with negative side effects (literally called a dark side in game terms), including a propensity for violence when his powers are in use - and his powers work extremely well when the impulses he’s creating are violent. so set up a room with some Bad People and a very scared kid with those sorts of power, and you’ll end up with what phil discovered.

also here’s an older monster hunter!techno doodle for you! :D he’s a kid in the comic (i’m thinking 14-15) but i have some things planned for the au when he’s an adult, so i’ve got an older design for him as well.
