So you know what would be an interesting change of pace in winx club? If a villain decided to go after red fountain FIRST. Like as tired as we may be of it cloud tower has merit because of dark magic and storing dangerous magic as well as the students etc having practiced dark magic so on paper they seem like the easiest to corrupt into working with the big bads etc . Alfea is pretty much always the "taking over this place will ensure my victory or be icing on the cake as the school pretty much represents hope so it falling is thematic of hope dying". But real talk what advantage would Red fountain have for a bad guy to aim for that school first? Most specialists and professors there don't seem to have magic themselves but do use magical tools and technology on their side but still serve more as distractions in the big battles than anything else compared to the other schools.

And truth be told besides occasionally holding objects of power the only reason Red Fountain seems to get targeted is because they themselves kinda insert themselves into the conflict instead of them having something in their school that the villain wants so it's kinda funny imagining that if red fountain were a more selfish school and kept to themselves for a season or the whole show would a villain...just not go after them because of the three schools red fountain has nothing of importance.

What are your thoughts on this and if you had your way how would you make red fountain as a location more important to the plot besides what the show does which is basically go "this is the school where all the boyfriends go to and that's all you need to know".

Well, since I'm doing a rewrite, I've already made Red Fountain more important by using the 4kids idea of the Three Points of Magic but I've actually given it substance instead of just mentioning it in passing and then never doing anything with it. However, I can't talk about that since I'll have to explain literally all of my worldbuilding and that is... A Lot. But Red Fountain stands on equal ground with Cloud Tower and Alfea when it comes to importance. And they have magical chronicles and spell books, too, so they could easily be a target for a magic user that thinks they can handle the Specialists without breaking a sweat. Which probably would be proven wrong in a lot of cases because the Specialists are trained to fight magic specifically and they also have wizards in their ranks. And the villains that are threats to Red Fountain are also the ones that are threats to Alfea and CT alike.

In the canon universe they actually had the perfect opportunity to use Red Fountain in Magical Adventure but they just focused on Winx instead. With positive magic gone, they could have easily included both RF and CT into the action. I will be forever bitter that when Winx didn't have any magic, the Specialists built them a more or less useless obstacle course instead of equipping them with weapons and shields. Like, give Layla a sword! Tecna can do magic with shields even if she doesn't have actual magic (and throw in a blaster for her, too). Stella was using a scepter for a long time so you can give her a staff or something. They could have prepared them better both to show that the weapons of the Specialists are effective AND that they still might not be enough if you don't know how to properly use them. That would have demonstrated why Red Fountain is important. Also, we did get RF involved in the action in season 1 but that was more of a "everyone fails" type of situation so it can't be counted as a show of competence.

But where I was going with all of this was that if a villain wants to stop either positive or negative magic (or both) like the Ancestral Witches did, they could first attack Red Fountain to get them out of the game and make sure that they can't come to aid the magicless fairies and witches. Take RF out and there won't be much tactical support for CT and Alfea.

I'm not sure if you've already done one or plan to do a nya power headcanon but I'd love to see your thoughts on how her powers interact with ice after the ice emperor season. Is she a substitute zane? I personally don't think or want her to be able to create ice but could she interact with already existing ice? And about her powers in general can she make it rain? Conjur seemingly endless streams of water from her hands like kai can with fire?

I am definitely working on a Nya one! It's being built in my drafts!

And I did like the Ice Element arc to Nyas powers in the Ice Chapter, but it was a little in contention/overshadowed by Kai and his lack of powers, so it was hard to get much content for Nya's abilities

I do know that it's cool that she's got powers over ice but I don't really treat it as "She's an ice replacement" since she and Zane both have the same powers.

For me, it solidifies the theory of primary and secondary powers being related to each other. Or even just, specific elements being able to interact and be controlled by other elemental masters.

Like, now, by default, Zane must be able to control water, right? Nya can control the water in ice, and since Zane can control ice then that's just frozen water.

Cole is the master of Earth, and Bolobo is the master of nature which is manipulating the earth and life energy in a way, so therefore with Cole having the element he does then why wouldn't he be able to wield nature? Or even Karloff, power over metal (metal bending anyone? 😂)

Kai and Ash, fire and smoke, one is a prerequisite of the other.

Jay and Griffin? Lightning and speed - Jay, is shown to have superspeed/teleportation when he gained his full potential.

So each of the ninjas powers relate to another Elemental Masters in a way! They're all intertwined and overlap, and whilst I don't want Nya to be seen as a replacement for ice, it's opened a lot of doors into how you view elemental abilities.

Also I love the idea of them wielding their powers together!

Just found your blog and saw you were taking requests. I'd honestly love to see a sonknuckles story where sonic and knuckles are sparring and trying out new powers while also flirting!! I'd love to see a dominant flirty sonic and an embarrassed knuckles. And then I'd love to see the same concept but with sonic and shadow racing each other as a workout and sonic flirting with shadow and idk maybe complimenting shadow's legs or how he can keep up with sonic. Just bold, dominant flirty sonic!!!!

It had taken Knuckles some time to procure some items he’d lost long ago. These items, which he had found just around the time he had met Rouge and Shadow, during the events of the ARK incident, had been lost because of how often he moved around and his lack of a home. He didn’t have a place to store them, so he had normally left them around the Master Emerald, as bringing them with him wasn’t always a viable option.

Rouge had found information that Eggman had acquired all three of the items, and Knuckles decided they were useful enough to go after. It had been easy enough, as they were stored in a base Eggman hadn’t been at himself.

On his way back to Angel Island, he had come across a lake he had seen once or twice before but never truly taken in. It was beautiful, surrounded by a lush forest, and there was a double-track trail that led to a small, abandoned cabin on the West side of the body of water. Some forgotten, large steel containers were scattered around the cabin, which was also located by a small dock that extended about twenty feet over the water. Normally, humans disrupting nature would’ve bugged Knuckles, but this was exactly what he was looking for.

He walked over to the cabin as he contemplated how long ago he had last used the items that he now wore—the Hammer Gloves, the Air Necklace, and a pair of Sunglasses—deciding it would be best to test them out, since it had been years. After adjusting his items, he moved onto the dock, looking down at the clear, blue water once he reached the end of the wooden platform, before diving into it. He swam close to the surface, looking at the rocks that lined the lake bottom, watching distant trout swim away, out of sight. Once he dove down deeper, he watched the minnows do the same thing, retreating to the safety of rocks.

He had no need to hold his breath, thanks to the Air Necklace, so he let himself enjoy the lake for upwards of fifteen minutes. When he reemerged, he turned to look for the dock he had come from, and then sighed when he saw Sonic standing on it. The blue hedgehog gave him a big wave, once he was spotted.

Knuckles swam over, grabbing the edge of the dock. “What are you doing here, Sonic?” he asked, pulling himself up and shaking off any access water as he got to his feet.

“Wow, you know you’re really graceful in the water?” Sonic asked rhetorically, giving him a handsome little smile.

Knuckles blinked and then simply gave him a look, wanting an answer as he moved to walk back to the cabin.

Sonic turned and walked with him. “Rouge told me you’d gotten those old items you had back in the day, so I wanted to come visit you to see them,” he explained. “I always stop at this lake on my way.”

“Why? You don’t even swim,” Knuckles said.

Sonic eyed him a little bit, openly. “Sometimes I just like to admire things,” he hummed with a fake innocence to his tone.

Knuckles blinked once and looked over at him, warmth spreading across his cheeks, despite the cool water he’d just been in. “Whatever,” he breathed, waving his comment off.

“Hey! I remember these!” Sonic exclaimed when Knuckles had lifted his hand, grabbing the echidna’s wrist gently and pulling his arm closer, to get a better look at his gloves. “You were always so cool with them.”

Knuckles huffed, tugging his arm away. “I want to make sure they still work,” he said, gesturing over to the steel boxes they were walking up to.

Sonic smirked. “Oh, right, go ahead,” he said, stopping to let Knuckles go the rest of the way by himself, not wanting to get in the way.

“Are you going to watch me?” he asked with confusion.

Sonic smirked at him. “Like I said, sometimes I just like to admire beautiful things.”

Knuckles blinked again, huffing again and quickly turning to the boxes. “You said nothing about ‘beautiful’ things.”

“Well, I’m saying it now,” Sonic said.

Knuckles just grumbled a little bit, before raising his fist and smashing one of the boxes in front of him, then using his other hand to destroy another one.

“I have no idea how you’re that strong,” Sonic commented, before the next punch. Knuckles chose to ignore him, just busting another container. “Seriously, I’m pretty sure you could completely demolish me.”

Knuckles nearly choked, that time, turning and looking over at Sonic, who had a fist on his hip, smirking. “Chaos, Sonic,” he breathed, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

Sonic laughed softly. “Sorry, too much?” he asked, sounding very amused.

Knuckles sighed, eyeing him, his cheeks flushed bright with blush. He didn’t say anything, just turned back to the last couple of crates, the steel shattering under his final blows, however his confidence was a little thrown, and he felt as if Sonic’s gaze was burning a hole in his back. He moved forward to inspect the steel scraps, pretending to search for anything that had been inside, even though that really wasn’t the point.

“Now the Sunglasses?” Sonic asked, still watching him.

The red echidna nodded, straightening up to glanced over at him. “I doubt there are any invisible items around here. That tech hasn’t been used in years,” he said with a shake of his head.

“Yeah, but I’d like to see you with them on. They’re hot,” he said, rubbing his nose and grinning at him still.

Knuckles blushed even more, giving a little embarrassed chuckle as he brought up his hand to lower the Sunglasses on his head. He glanced around, not seeing anything in the vicinity, as he had predicted. “Yeah, nothing here,” he breathed.

Sonic paused a second, before walking over. “There’s something here,” he said, reaching up to pushing up his Sunglasses, to look into his purple eyes.

Knuckles blushed deeply, blinking at him. “Is— Is there?” he stuttered.

Sonic nodding, unabashedly checking him out now as he lowered his hands to cup each side of his muzzle. The two of them looked at each other for a moment, and when Sonic leaned in and kissed Knuckles, the echidna sighed through his nose, sliding his hands to Sonic’s waist and closing his eyes. He let the hedgehog lead the kiss, relaxing as they finally crossed the fragile line that they’d been playing with for the past few years.

When they broke away from each other, Sonic smiled at him. “This is why I wanted to visit you, in case you didn’t catch that.”

“I got it,” Knuckles chuckled, even though he hadn’t been expecting this when he had first caught sight of the hedgehog.

Sonic chuckled with him, moving to take both of his hands with his own, careful of the special gloves. “Then can I come with you back to Angel Island?” he asked, quirking a brow.

Knuckles contemplated, before giving a small nod, smiling when Sonic’s expression lit up. They leaned in together, to kiss for another moment. When they pulled away, Sonic let go of one of his hands. “Alright, let’s go.”

Loving your blog. Especially the sonic posts you make. Can we just take a moment and realize just how powerful sonic and knuckles are together. Speed and power. In sonic x these two on occasion could form one spin ball together which was red and blue that could absolutely wreck anything in its path and I love it. That is the strength of this ship.

watching the bond grow between them from s3&k through heroes/riders was like… the greatest thing ever for me. my boy was making friends and seeing the world and I just… ;;

and then to watch sonic x develop his relationship w/ sonic outside of the games and seeing HOW MUCH they developed was a prayer sent from heaven that would clear my skin.

I die every time I think about knuckles blaming sonic for everything in ep 3 and almost 50 eps later he’s staring up at the sky waiting for him to come home like F U C K this shit is fucking real.

knuckles has so much fun when he’s w/ sonic too. even if he hates to admit it, when he and sonic team up, they are almost always having a blast when strategy and strength outweighs the enemy. knuckles gives sonic an extra boost in everything that you wouldn’t doubt their success. he’s p much stronger than shadow like this boy does damage and combining that w/ sonic is child’s play.

not only that but knuckles is half the time confident in sonic’s ability to win that he’s fine standing to the side. I love every moment knuckles is like “FINISH HIM OFF !” all excited and sonic just does it. there’s communication w/out words so often tho when they team up or have to split for their missions that I just 😩 healthy/sound relationship/friendship, y’all… JUMP ON THIS.

you can’t watch sonic x and think sonic doesn’t flirt w/ knuckles almost entirely and knuckles doesn’t absolutely crush on sonic. I actually forget sonamy is a thing in that series bc of the strong bond between sonic and knuckles. it isn’t once part of a one-sided trope. those two are 1000% a developed relationship ready to jam w/ each other by the end of it.

Don't get me wrong lynn has done some terrible things without the effects of green light but...One thing that I kinda sorta don't like about the fandom at the moment is how much everyone hates lynn. True she's done some horrible things but as soon as odell planted the idea for her to start taking green light I just wanted to give this woman a hug. Odell specifically states that this version of green light is the most addictive substance on earth. Compare this to when odell told tobias that the youth serum that tobias was coming off had  withdrawal effects 10 times stronger than cocaine!!! The stuff lynn is taking is incredibly potent and may have the same or even higher addictive qualities than what tobias took to keep himself young. Not to mention that this idea to even use green light in the first place was planted in her mind by odell using actual brainwashing techniques. She was even made to think that she thought of the idea herself by odell using those same brainwashing techniques. This stuff is messing with her mind and morality and empathy and while I do enjoy that the pierce family is actually reacting to this behavior and are shocked and angry with her behaving this way.  l also hate that the fandom in general for the show seems to have such hatred for her when it's Odell's fault and is encouraging it. Like don't get me wrong this anger ect from lynn isn't coming from nowhere BUT I do think that it is be heavily increased do to the green light.  Sorry for the rant. Just wanted to give my interpretation of the character.

I never liked Lynn right from the beginning of the show. And I was pissed when it was revealed that she was tricked into becoming an addict. 

But, like you said, her ‘anger’ now is the same anger she has always had towards Jefferson and his powers, just amped up because of the drugs. 

And because of that, MY dislike for her has become a lot stronger.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway.

The guy I got banned. He's stayed a few times over the last few months, is a Marriott Rewards member. Called about leaving some expensive cologne, at ten pm. It was an incredulity busy day, the bistro was overwhelmed, FD was even worse.

I get it, you want it back, yeah. But there wasn't anything in the general lost and found, nothing in the log book (and this is taken seriously here I'm grateful) so I told him I'd contact my manager and he'd get a call in the morning.

This wasn't good enough.

He proceeded to yell at me. Saying this was important (bruh you were here like two weeks ago and you're just now calling). I said I understood ("oh do you? So you buy $200 cologne then?"). Broseph went on a tangent about how the hotel was trash and how I'm a horrible person. I offered him corporate's number and he called me a "fucking whore."

So now I'm irritated and beyond stressed and told him this was harassment and he needs to stop. He goes off saying I'm a terrible person and he'll have my job and then another guest walked in to check in and the tears started to fall and I was just done. Told the guy on the phone I'll transfer him to someone who would help him and just fucking transferred him.

Could I have handled it better? Maybe. But idc because it turns out he was a goddamn EMPLOYEE STAY SO DOUBLE FUCK YOU. We ALL know better. Don't be a dick.

Tl;dr: he's not welcome here anymore.

A bit of an odd ask but I wanted to send this in anyway just to hear your opinion on it. Is it just me or is there just a surprising lack of adult magical adventures in tv, books anime etc. I love fiction but something I've noticed is that there's usually not much of a focus on college kids as the main characters. Their usually relegated to being side characters. Where are my adult age magical savior's? Where's the 21+ year olds that are trying to balance adult life and are both absolutely excited that their a hero now and can learn magic but are also kinda pissed off because "really MORE schooling when I haven't finished paying off my normal tuition yet".

I wanna see a character in a book outright beg for a quest because they really don't wanna do the homework for their least favorite college level class or have them jokingly question if they should do nothing about the apocalypse because then at least there's no student loans etc.

This is one of the reasons I loved Once upon a time and SYFY's The Magicians since adults were a focus.

But what are your thoughts on this? Do you think there's a lack of magical adult adventures content? If not do you have any recommendations for books or media? I feel like there could be a lack of content or it's just hard to find.

If kids can get away with flat out disappearing to different realms without getting in trouble because time functions differently so their only gone for a few minutes then why aren't their more stories like that for adults where they can escape their crappy jobs, go save a world or stop their dimension from collapsing and then come back and still have to finish their tasks for their job. Better yet having to multitask on a business/conference trip as you have both a magical quest/item hunt to do but you also have to maintain appearances for your job but you show up half on fire or with something still hunting you and you have to hope your coworkers don't care enough to ask questions.

One last thing I wanna note is that in most media they tend to make characters experience the college life without them actually being college age. Harry Potter etc all have the typical magic schools or magic castles but to be honest they always felt more like magic colleges to me especially with them having dorms etc which then feels odd since no one is actually college age. I suppose the vibe could be private schools? I get that these places being big helps with the wonderous aspect but after a certain bit it feels kinda odd. Though it could be argued that magic just takes so long to learn that the kids in those types of universes literally have to start out so young or that it takes so much intelligence that they have to basically be taking college level classes even though their like 12.

Anyway I know this is a bit of an odd ask since it isn't really tied into a fandom but I'm curious of your opinion.

I don't know. College-aged protags might be rare indeed but I don't feel qualified to say anything definitive because I've read mostly YA and haven't set out specifically to search for NA fantasy where the main characters would be college-aged. I have to say that I think that there is actually quite a bit of fantasy with adult characters but it's high fantasy instead of urban fantasy which would be along the lines of what you're describing - characters that have normal studies/day jobs but also go on fantasy adventures. NA urban fantasy might be lacking but, again, I wouldn't know since I haven't really looked into it. I, personally, don't care about adding everyday elements to fantasy. I prefer high fantasy where the characters just live in a fantasy world and don't have stupid "real life" responsibilities to deal with. That is the full escapist experience for me since I get to forget that university/jobs even exist. If I had to save the world, I sure as hell wouldn't have the energy to go to work on top of that and I don't think it's fair to anyone to force them to juggle two lives like that. Honestly, YA is kinda full of shit by implying teenagers should be capable and expected to literally carry the world on their shoulders while also taking care of their regular responsibilities.

I don't find the dorm thing weird at all. In the not so distant past it wasn't unusual of high schools (at least where I live) to have dorms for students that might come from other towns/villages. And I do think that that was the case internationally because I've read some of the books left from my parents' teen years and several of them feature not only high schools that have dorms (aka are the boarding school type) but also middle schools that have dorms as well and the students live there during the terms aka those are boarding schools again. Magical schools located on specific planets would have to be boarding schools if they're supposed to be attended by people from all over the universe.

I recently rediscovered both of your blogs Ive got a few asks if you don't mind. I'm sorry to hear that you left the NU fandom but if you don't mind my asking what happened? Was it just a loss of interest over time or a bad experience? Do you think you'll ever do art or stories revolving around Jimmy and timmy as a ship separate from the NU fandom? It's shocking how only a few people ship them when they are perfect for each other. And I'm a huge danganronpa fan so I love all your new art!!!!

This is more an extension to the ask I just sent. I just wanna say that even though you left the NU fandom I hope you don't delete your other blog and can one day look at it to reminisce of the good times you had there. Plus the content there is just down right good. It's amazing to compare your art style from that blog and your current works for different fandoms now and you've improved a lot. I'm happy to have rediscovered your blogs and see you're still doing drawing art!!!! Stay awesome!!!

Ah.. I guess I can say I retired from that fandom. Lost in interest? Nah, I still have a lot of ideas for them even now, its just bad experiences I had with several people in the fandom that just makes me wanna quit. Imagine several people you look up to and have a huge respect on them lies to you, turns against you, emotionally manipulate and guilt you because the things you draw not approved by them (somehow this issue affect my own Ocs as well)... Its just not good for my mental health. I still can draw them if I want to, I just dont want to interact with the ‘kool gang kids’ of the NU fandom anymore.  

I’m usually put any ship between the charas in NU fandom and that include Jim Tim. Usually Jimmy and Timmy is the biggest ship out there in NU fandom, what you mean not many ppl ship them haha. ghjK Thanks, I’m glad theres people like you enjoy DR and NU, both in one package :’)

I'm reading your theories for ninjago and how powers develop and I love them! I do hope kai and nya get an analysis from you. I'd also be curious to know what you think in regards to pixal as the show directly states in one season that zane gave pixal a part of his core and I believe it allowed her to use his ice powers too. It'd be interesting to see if she's in enough danger that she can psychically tap into Zane's powers for a bit but it tires her out. This might've been retconned though.

Kai is coming next! His analysis is already being put together in my drafts, so it's just a matter of time before it's done and I post it!

But Pixal, Oooooo! Now that's an idea, and I loved it when she got part of Zane's power core and then they both had to work together to use Spinjitzu and then it was, you know,

Barely even mentioned again...

I think the end of Rebooted, start of Tournament retconned it because of the whole Titanium Zane and Pix becoming part of his internal programming, therefore a whole new body for Zane and a lack of body for Pixal.

But you can be sure as hell I'll go into Pix's ability to tap into the Ice Element!! That's a sick idea! Thank you!
