Why are people so against gun control? Just because someone supports gun control DOES NOT MEAN that we are against the Second Amendment.
I was on Facebook today and someone made a comment about “liberals” being against the 2A and “anti American”
This was my response:
“I’m very liberal. I support Gun control. And I also support the 2nd amendment. All most of us want is more regulation. You need to take a test and have a license to drive a car, you should also need that to own a gun. Simple. And similarly to how more “advanced” vehicles (motorcycles, 16-wheelers, etc.) require more training and special license so to should more advanced guns. It’s not complicated and I don’t know why people treat it like it is. Or like just because people want to add regulations it’s attacking the rights. To me that’s just silly. 🤷🏻‍♀️ but what do I know, I’m just a pro-universal healthcare, pro-education for all, anti-draft, queer, disabled, woman who believes all people are equal and churches should pay taxes, who wants to go hunting and go to a shooting range.”
If you agree with getting a driving license - you should agree with gun control.

Me: we should ban the sale of assault rifles to mitigate the risk of mass-murder and public shootings in America
Opponents: Yet the AR in AR-15 stands for armalite and not assault rifle
Me:
Tumblr media
like by this logic I could name myself “John-with-no-income” and poof I get to never pay taxes again, right? That’s how that works right? I get to name something disingenuously and then use that wrong-name as a legal argument, right? Will that work in court when the IRS sues "John-with-no-income” for never filing taxes?...

I have the feeling that if BLM, antifa and the boogalooer actually sat down and talk with each other they would find they have more in common than not. And the corpolitical knows this. That way this is getting pushed so hard. Thay don't want the social activist to team up with the people that are armed and can define themselves and others because then we would have to see social change. Come on everyone let Bridge of these divides. We can do this.

News Flash to Pro-Birthers
News flash to all pro-birthers out there, stop trying to spread the false narrative that all pregnant women are randomly walking into their doctor's office at 39 weeks and saying, "I changed my mind," and having their child killed. These abortions are for the rarest of rare cases. Mothers that will die carrying their baby to term, who have been told that their child won’t survive by multiple doctors. Some of whom already have other children. Should they risk leaving their other children motherless just to deliver a dead baby?
And guess what? None of you are "pro-life" in the slightest. You don't care at all what happens to these children once they're born. Look at what happens every time there's a mass shooting and someone calls for stricter gun laws. All you care about then is the thought of your precious assault weapons being taken away. You won't do anything to provide for them if they're homeless or living below the poverty line. You talk constantly about how abortion is the worst crime anyone could commit, but none of you will lift a finger to help all the terminal babies who need homes because their mothers died carrying them to term, due to being faced with constant shaming from people like you.
The bottom line is, you're pro-birth, not pro-life. Oh, and stop fear-mongering and trying to make it seem as though there's some sort of widespread ploy to kill all babies.
Also, this may come as a surprise to you, but you can be against abortion without shaming other women for choosing that option because it's the best decision for her personally. Understand that not all situations are the same, that is if you have even the slightest bit of common sense.

2nd Amendment
A well regulated militia being necessary for the security of a free state; the right of the people to keep and bear shall not be infringed.
It is our right as American citizens to own and carry firearms and that right is to be left untouched. This amendment was designed give the people the power to protect and defend themselves from others and a government tyranny. If the time comes, it is our duty to come together as a militia to fight against a tyranny, therefore if we get our guns taken away then we will be unable to maintain our freedom. Instead of taking away guns or implementing strict gun laws, there should be a more thorough background checking system that is equal across the entire united states and required firearm safety courses. It should be noted that there has not been a mass shooting by a NRA (National Rifle Association) member and that should reflect the mentality a vast majority of law abiding, gun owning citizens.
“Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” (The Declaration of Independence)
To protect your life and liberty, you have the right to own guns and if guns and sport shooting/hunting make you happy, then you should be left unbothered. It is your right to own guns and use them in a respectful and moral matter. Safe use and owning of guns is protected by the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, the two documents that make the United States of America that free country it is today.

Other 2a supporters will talk about trigger discipline and safe operation and practical and responsible uses for firearms but not me. I own a gun purely because I crave power and want people to speak to me as if I have the ability to casually murder them. And I’ll admit to this! I’m sure many are sincere when they talk about the joy and nobility of gun sports, but it’s all about cowardice and masculine rage for me. Anyway, my interest in arms is deeply interrelated with my praxis as a spiritually militant pseudocathar light warrior, example: only because of my encyclopedic knowledge of local weapons laws was I able to place this sacred crystal matrix in my window, and now any archonic beam-ray weaponry directed at me by local hylic haters is defracted into rainbows that scatter harmlessly across the yellowed sheets of my army-issue cot. Could a Democrat accomplish this? Let alone a Valentinian?
