I just got this Bunny Dee shirt and already got cat hair all over it. I love that the cat is ear tipped!! She has so many great designs in her threadless store… I am struggling not to buy all of them. (Sizing note: I'm pretty small (5'5", 125 lbs) and this medium is a fitted cut on me. Definitely order a size up a size or two if you want a looser fit, for the tank tops anyway.)
"You're being entitled!" These bitches are asking us to fund their Hollywood-quality content dreams like Walt Disney pleading a bank he was in debt to to give him another loan to finish Bambi, a movie that did not see any monetary success until it rereleased seven years later. I have to pay so much big money in medical expenses every month that I don't have any "treats" (a starbucks coffee, a different subscription, etc) I can go without. I'm not the entitled one here.
Now, I’m not a master and this is a holiday gift, but this bit here of a scarf, not even the length of my hand, took me two hours. So, look at this picture anytime you argue with an independent artist about the worth of their creation that came from their soul.
There's this guy, Dr Russell Barkley, he does talks on ADHD. I've come across a fair bit of his content on various platforms.
Every time I see one of his videos I end up in tears. Usually within the first few minutes.
He speaks very plainly and clearly about the function of ADHD. He presents a realistic picture of what is happening and what is required.
I came across this one:

In typical fashion, I found myself crying within a few minutes.
Because other than schooling I have never had a support system. I have never had a single person in my life really hold me accountable. I have never had anyone work with me to create some kind of structure or consistency.
Everything he said, even within the first minutes, resonated with me so deeply. Because I honestly have no idea if I can do this alone. And it scares me that I might wind up getting nowhere because I am lacking in support.
ADHD is manageable. But it is damn near impossible to manage alone.
i feel like i’ve been WAITING for the other shoe to drop wrt people’s opinions about watcher for this very reason. not that i think the reaction is completely not understandable but the greater the parasocial relationship, the greater the fallout as soon as public opinion shifts. you don’t have a relationship with these people they’re just content creators, chill
He arrived and he’s beautiful! 😍😍 thank you so much @lightspringrain
If you’re a small artist feel free to drop links to your shops in my DMs! I try to buy art from small artists as often as possible! I can’t always buy something big but I try to buy something ❤️ and I always promote on my social media!
in this world of dropshipping and unsafe working conditions, support people who care for their workers and community, support the handmade, support creators themselves
Please remember to support small businesses (including independent/freelance artist shops and commissions) during Black Friday and the holiday season. I don't even care if it's mine or not. Please. Most of us cannot afford to massively slash prices during the holiday season. If you can afford it, buy full price. If there's a sale, find a way to tip generously. And if you can't? find other ways to support (reblog commission sheets, shop links, ko-fi pages, etc)
These are people who will do their best to have your back in return, unlike the massive corporations who are only trying to figure out how much they can get away with taking.
Buy a sculptor's handmade mug, or a freelance artist's prints, or an indie dev's game, as a gift for your loved ones. You'll be surprised how much variety is out there.
