I STAND FOR TWO THINGS - SUPPORT OTHERS AND CELEBRATING Today I want to talk about all the celebration vibes. I absolutely LOVE celebrating others for their awesomeness, their achievements, their dreams, their real life love stories, their growth, the struggles they have overcome...all the things! But over the last few months I have been challenging myself to embody that celebration not only for my clients, family and friends....but for myself too. Through mentors and group coaching this become abundantly clear as we moved into March. I made big plans to celebrate the end of the month with a fun party, champagne, a cute dress and sparkly decorations. Then COVID happened and small celebrations just sharing my wins with my hubs or having a little dance party felt like a party. Yesterday I got to photograph my first session back as restrictions lift and it felt like a celebration in itself. I got home to the suggestion a backyard fire, family time, smores. Then hubs walked out, handled me a bottle of our favourite wine and two glasses. We cheers-ed to a fabulous first session back and heading towards by big goals. It reminded me... It Doesn't have be big and sparkly. It Doesnt have to look like how everyone else celebrates. It doesn't have to be fancy. The accomplishments dont have to be huge. We just have to be present to celebrate. The celebrations just have to feel good. They have to mean something to YOU. They have to help you be present, to recognize your awesomeness, and to sink into gratitude for all the blessings. . . . posted on Instagram - https://instagr.am/p/CBbOVUXnMVb/

"They don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it" Every entrepreneur hears this phrase over and over. And I agree. Sorta. Okay so here's where I'm coming from. First, our product or service needs to meet a need or spark a desire. Second, it must be good. Like really good. Third, we must create a connection with them through your messaging and experience. Before we do that we have to know...will you be a corporate brand, or a personal one. If you intend to be a corporate brand, without a figurehead (think places like Swiss Chalet, Farm Boy, Chapters...) then your message and experience will be more based on features and benefit, pain points, and systemized consistency. BUT if we want to create a more personal brand, we need to show our faces, use our voices, and tell our own unique stories. Why do we do what we do? What has our own personal experience been? What do we stand for? What is the life we are creating? How do we lead ourselves? When given the choice between two similar products or services, what connects us to our clients? . . . posted on Instagram - https://instagr.am/p/CAVsZ5SHCxk/

We have been hearing a lot about the plight of small businesses. Even some of our fabulous London small businesses have been hit so hard that they won't be reopening when this pandemic is over. It breaks my heart to see other solopreneurs and small businesses struggle. If I had it to give, I would give them money to stay afloat or a magic wand to make it better. Sadly, I haven't found that magic wand (if you have - call me ;) ) and like them I'm over here fighting my way through with no business income in over 6 weeks. Does that mean I'm not supporting my friends and fellow small business owners? HECK NO! I believe in supporting local small businesses. When we support them, our community is stronger together. How am I supporting? - anything in my regular budgets I can buy from a small business, I am - anytime I have a little extra in the budget, I treat myself to takeout from a local restaurant, a gift from a small business, or a gift card I will be excited to use when this is over I also recognize that right now I have more time than money to be able to support these local businesses so I am showing up to... - like, comment, and share their posts in the hopes that my friends and online community will help to support - write reviews for businesses I have worked with . . . posted on Instagram - https://instagr.am/p/B_uyre1HuvS/
