The game publisher/developers tinyBuild are having a massive sale!
This sale has actually been going on for a few days already- it began on April 5th. I didn't quite notice it until today though, so here we are! The sale will be ongoing until April 12th.
There's quite a large number of games that are discounted here, even beyond the ones shown here. The Party Hard series, the Hello Neighbor series, Surgeon Simulator, Not For Broadcast, Clustertruck, Lovely Planet Arcade, I Am Bread....
To reiterate, the sale doesn't end until April 12th, at approximately noon EST (time according to the email I received.) If you're looking for a new game to try out, be sure to check this sale out before it ends!
The more I listen to Like A Surgeon the more I want to purchase Surgeon Simulator for my Switch and experience the nostalgia. And I listened to that song a lot while playing it.
Also Surgeon Simulator legitimately one of my favourite video games along with the greats like Portal 2, Celeste, and Undertale.
idk why but I loved Surgeon Simulator when I was a preteen. While countless YouTubers in 2013 were killing patient after patient, I got really good at preforming surgeries quickly with little blood loss. (I may have had some advantage at this being slightly ambidextrous.) Genuinely I found the game very interesting and wanted to learn how to best take care of my patients and make sure they weren't hurt unnecessarily. To this day I still remember what scalpel to use for what organs (yes this matters, the patient won't bleed if the correct scalpel is used. No, they don't teach you which one until after).
I hope someone sees this post and decides to play it. If that's you I'd be happy to help a fellow surgeon (cutting for the very first time~)! :)
Have you ever watched medical tv shows like House, Scrubs, General Hospital, etc.? Have you even watched anime involving medical stuff as well? If so, what did you think of them?
On Medical Shows and Surgeon Simulator
Usually, I don't watch a lot of medical shows but I've always loved Scrubs. I've also developed a greater appreciation for the first couple of seasons of ER. Among all the medical shows out there, though, I would say that Scrubs is the most accurate to actually working in a hospital. This is due to all the work relationships that are display there. Everyone who has worked in a hospital knows Dr. Cox, Dr. Kelso, Carla, the Janitor, etc.
As for Surgeon Simulator, I've seen people play it but I have yet to play it myself. Maybe when the game goes on sale early next month, I'll get it and revisit this part of the ask.

there are three good VR games that actually do something with the medium and don't use VR as a gimmick:
1. Super Hot
Time moves when you move? EXCELLENT concept, can't achieve that nearly as well on PC or console. I accidentally threw a gun at one of the goofy red dudes instead of shooting him once. Worked perfectly.
2. Gorilla Tag
Very specifically using just your hands to move. Genius. Anyone could think of it, but it was executed and popularized here. As goofy as the game is, it's not bad. It's kinda like Fortnite. It's great, but the players suck because theyre majorly little boys.
3. Beat Saber
Made specifically to tackle problems with VR. Things move at you, you don't move, less motion sickness... based game overall. I was debating not including this because the Wii exists, but the game was made specifically to work around the VR format, so it gets the spot.
Honorable mention goes to Surgeon Simulator because it's better in VR, though it is still kind of a gimmick. It's not unplayable on PC, but it's way funnier in VR.
Wow. I am reeling unexpectedly hard from the RT news
I can’t say I didn’t see the writing on the wall, especially after they cancelled RTX but… jeez I’m a lot sadder than I thought I would be
That was a huge chunk of my childhood, something I loved, something I shared with my sisters, and now it’s gone I’m a lot more upset than I thought I would be
I'm on a Surgeon Simulator mini-fixation right now and I need you guys to listen to this track. It goes SO HARD. Especially for what is basically a comedy game about an inept surgeon.
really displayed an impressive amount of hubris by going to bed directly after eating some sausage and thinking i somehow Wouldn't awaken in the nighttimes with acid reflux of ungodly proportions. i was gonna artfully describe what it feels like but i grossed myself out
