And the other thing I did yesterday.

I finally hit the launch button on GoFundMe for my surgery fund.

I... if you can donate, that's awesome, but really, the operations are in November (yeah, I have GCS and FFS just a week apart from each other and that recovery is going to suck). The biggest thing I'm asking for and need is help sharing right now. I don't do reddit, or twitch, or streams, or twitter anymore, or any of the media where a lot of folks manage to get their funds magically filled by big donors. If you do, mind putting the word out about mine over there? I just want to be able to make sure I can recover in peace without the rest of my family struggling to make up for what I can't do during that time.

My consultation went extremely well! I'm approved for surgery as soon as I have the funds to proceed!

If you can, please donate to this GoFundMe! You all have helped me raise $255/$10,000!!

My surgeon has said the price is $8,500 but I'm still aiming for $10,000 (for good reasons I promise!) I expect the healing to take about a month before I'm safe for general activities, but that's at least a month of bills, pet supplies, food, and other expenses that have to be taken care of. There's also doctor visits that I'm unsure if I'll have to pay for out of pocket or not (and it's better to be safe than sorry). I also have to consider aftercare supplies such as a mastectomy pillow, scar care supplies, OTC pain meds, and other similar supplies. I need to make sure I have all the money required for that prior to my inability to work so that I can guarantee that I'll be able to care for myself without falling into debt because of it.

All of that and more has been factored into the goal I have set. While I am saving my own money as best as I can, everyday expenses stack up which makes it difficult to save any amount for this (my name and gender marker change are part of this reason, though not all of it), which is why I'm asking for community help. I’ve been dealing with dysphoria since I hit puberty (about 15 years ago) and it’s been a constant struggle of figuring everything out for all that time.

Please help if you can!

So, I never do this, and I was reluctant to post this here because it has my wallet name attached, but I’ve so far only gotten about halfway to what I need and I’m desperate.

So anyway, about 3 months ago my old GSD Bella (9) started acting lame on her left hind leg. We tried treating it medically but her condition just kept getting worse, and finally I decided to take the vet’s suggestion to do surgery, despite the fact that I absolutely don’t have that kind of money. With being newly separated from my husband, recovering financially from cancer last year, my ongoing health problems, and trying to move out of ex’s house into my own place, I’m pretty tapped out. But I couldn’t let my girl continue to suffer, so I made a GoFundMe.

So the surgery happened on Thursday, and it went pretty well. She came through it fine. Unfortunately, what the vets thought was wrong based on the x-rays (torn acl or torn meniscus) was not actually wrong. Her tendons were fine, so now the vets are baffled by the swelling, scarring, and lameness she was exhibiting, and I owe $2800 for a procedure that didn’t actually fix her lameness.

So now I’m asking for help here too, because I suspect there will be further expenses down the line to try to fix whatever is actually wrong with her knee. I know times are tough for everyone, but every little bit helps. If nothing else, give this post a share!

So, I recently had my consultation for FTM top surgery; the total cost will be around 6.7k and to even get a date scheduled I am required to put down 1k... which I do not currently have.

I'm really aiming for getting this surgery done once the semester ends, so I don't have to miss out on any classes during recovery. I also would REALLY like to be all healed up by next summer, so I'm trying to raise the money ASAP in an attempt to have a winter surgery date.

SOOOO back to the point of this post: my commissions are OPEN.

Currently, I have 10 slots open, BUT since I'm in desperate need of $$, I'm certainly willing to go over that cap.

I can and will draw pretty much anything (SFW or NSFW), and even if it's something I'd never done myself before, I am definitely willing to give it a try!
