Fun Fact
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.
Wonderful things happen when you allow yourself to be loved. When you finally feel worthy of it. When you begin to experience this in your own chest. When you surrender to it.
Let the universe show you how much you truly are loved. 🍀
The love of God is something that is so pure and magnificent that nothing else can compare to it. The love of God “Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:7. There is nothing greater than the deep and unconditional love that the Lord gives us on a daily basis. Yet, we often try to find love in many other ways, such as watching porn, living a life in fornication, or committing adultery. And instead of finding comfort, safety, redemption, and purpose in God’s love, we may try to find these in worldly things. I’m here to tell you that the ways of the world will get you no where. They will only leave you feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled, always causing you to desire more until you finally feel okay when it’s really just destroying you. God’s love, on the other hand, will do the exact opposite.
The Lord’s love for us is so strong and powerful that He sent His only Son to die for us so that we might live (1 John 4:9). And through His mighty love, all of our sins and mistakes are covered (Proverbs 10:12). You may think you are such a terrible person that there is no way God could love you, but He does! Even when we fail to show Him love and live righteously, He still continues to love us because He IS love! 1 John 4:16. He loves you so much that He thinks about you more than there are grains of sand (Psalms 139:17-18). Is there anything in the world that has such huge love for you that it will die for you, never leave you, always help you, comfort you, and guide you to eternal life? No, only God, and He wants to give you that love so badly. Just let go of the world and surrender to Jesus’ love. It will be the best decision you’ll ever make!
9My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways. Proverbs 23:26
Much of Proverbs was written as an instruction manual about living life in right relationship with God and man by a father, Solomon, to his son. Throughout Proverbs he is reminded to remember what has been shared and live accordingly.
Today's verse can be heard as God's call to us. He bids all of us, sons and daughters, to surrender our hearts to him. (He has no stepchildren or grandchildren!) He wants us to walk in his ways, revealed to us in his word, the Bible. He desires that we take on wisdom as our constant companion.
Embracing the journey of spiritual evolution, we shift paradigms and surrender to the divine flow of the universe. Trusting in the path laid out by a higher power, we open ourselves to profound transformation and enlightenment.
God knows our hearts. He knows what we truly believe and our attitude toward Him.
One day, two of Aaron’s sons, Nadab and Abihu, came along and offered incense with “strange fire.” The Hebrew word translated “strange” means “unauthorized, foreign, or profane.” God not only rejected their sacrifice; He found it so offensive that He consumed the two men with fire.
We cannot offer to Him proud “sacrifices” that are unworthy of Him. He seeks those who come to Him in humility, ready to sacrifice their pride and lay before Him humble and contrite hearts grieving for sin.
Luke 1:26-38, Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son.
Gospel
Lk 1:26-38
The angel Gabriel was sent from God
to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,
to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph,
of the house of David,
and the virgin's name was Mary.
And coming to her, he said,
"Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you."
But she was greatly troubled at what was said
and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.
Then the angel said to her,
"Do not be afraid, Mary,
for you have found favor with God.
"Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son,
and you shall name him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High,
and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father,
and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever,
and of his kingdom there will be no end."
But Mary said to the angel,
"How can this be,
since I have no relations with a man?"
And the angel said to her in reply,
"The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.
Therefore the child to be born
will be called holy, the Son of God.
And behold, Elizabeth, your relative,
has also conceived a son in her old age,
and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren;
for nothing will be impossible for God."
Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.
May it be done to me according to your word."
Then the angel departed from her.
Do What God Says is Right, Not What You Think is Right
Deuteronomy 12:8
Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
So much of the world is determining their own standards of right and wrong - even those who follow God but misinterpret His laws- and for that so much of the world is going to end up in Hell for disobeying the Lord. If it's not completely and wholely God's biblical definition of right, it's completely and wholely wrong.
