Unsolicited tooth tabs with fluoride review in order of try:
Happy Tabs 🪥🪥🪥🪥🪥/5.
Good qualities: foams, easy to chew, most similar to regular toothpaste. Comes in a glass jar for general storage + paper refills.
Neutral qualities: the largest of the tabs size-wise!
Difficult qualities: no longer accessible locally
Country of origin: Netherland
Dent tabs 🪥/5.
Good qualities: has refills. Available online within my country.
Bad qualities: doesn't foam. Feels like brushing with water. Incredible unsatisfying and feels like I am about to spit out or swallow the fluoride all the time.
Country of origin: Germany
Eco Living tooth tabs 🪥🪥🪥/5.
Good qualities: actually tastes like peppermint! Comes in a small aluminium tin + paper refills. Available locally.
Neutral qualities: -
Difficult qualities: little foam, too watery. Hard to chew and has to be chewed into a paste to properly work.
Country of origin: UK
Commentary for all: expensive, but I personally love the fun they add to brushing my teeth. I do not use them every day, but prioritize them for travel and some days inbetween where the lightweight and small space it occupies is useful. Mostly, I buy refills as buying the jars or tins are more expensive (you can use something you already own or get them once.)
Disclaimer: there are more brands out there. I need to finish these before I continue my hunt towards the humble co (Swedish) and georganics (UK).

Vettonso x Similar Helmets
SV Germany 2012 x FA Monaco 2013: Gold & Dark Red
I think a lot about Vettonso and their mutual relationship witn gold. They're both golden boys, they're both seen lit gold by the sunshine on many podiums throughout the years, both have worn golden boots, and as you can see here: both have worn golden helmets. The parallels in these particular helmets makes me feel insane. Both are: gold with dark red accents, both have their birthplace's coat of arms(Bergstraße and Asturias), both have team animal motifs, and both have symbols to represent their two championships(You by now know the signifigance of the ones on Fernando's helmet, but I think the ones on Seb's are actually a callback to his Formula BMW days when he used to put the smiley stickers on his car for every win.)
And did you know both of these helmets were designed by the same helmet design company? Yep, both of these are JMD helmets. I know JMD helmets are/were pretty popular, but still, there's something to me about Fernando commissioning the same designer that Seb has been using since he was a literal child. Parallels, am I right?
SV Japan 2010 x FA Japan 2023: White with Black & Red
Haha I remember @protocolseben and I discussing this a bit back in September when Fernando's helmet dropped. I honestly think Seb is such an innovator and trailblazer in terms of helmet design, and you can see his influence in helmet design as recently as this past season. I'm not sure if he was the first ever driver to don a matte white helmet with red accents as a representation of the Japanese flag, but it certainly envoked him in my mind when I saw Fernando's!!
I think Fernando's is pretty similar to all of Seb's 2010-2012 Japan helmets but I like this one the most so! I think if Seb wasn't restrained by the Red Bull logo, he def wouldv'e put the red circle where Nando put his so I think Fernando did a really good job, even if unintentionally, at emulating Seb's sense of design.
SV Singapore 2012 x FA Singapore 2012: Sparkly!
Like I said in the one above, it's crazy how much Seb influenced helmet design. He was pretty much the pioneer of sparkly helmets for Singapore, right? It drives me absolutely insane that there's actually pictures of them together in such similar designed helmets. It's kinda funny actually that even though they're pretty deep in the championship fight at this point, and Seb just got one up on Fernando; Fernando is wearing a helmet that is a direct influence from Seb!!! Is that not insane???
Also, Fernando trying to be camp with trying the now in vogue sparkly Singapore helmet, and Seb accidentally completely blew him out of the water with his outrageous light up LED constellation helmet. But god yeah....to have pics of them in matching helmets from this era particuarly makes me emotional ;;;
SV Hungary 2021 x FA 2022: Pink with Dark Blue
I really could've picked any of Seb's 2021 helmets, but I thought this one matched the best with Fernando's main 2021 helmet(with the color pallet.) Also one thing, it's crazy how much control BWT has as a sponsor, I don't think I've ever seen another sponsor go so hard at having a chokehold on individuality. I like that we got pink liveries and pink helmets, but I don't think they should have that much control.
I'm almost kinda sad there wasn't any Miami GP in 2021, because I think that was the only unique helmet Fernando had in 2022. But these match pretty well! Pretty in pink!! It's crazy that their parallels in the 2020s are ongoing even before Fernando actually takes over Seb's seat. Thanks BWT I guess?
SV Abu Dhabi 2022 x FA Abu Dhabi 2022: Fernando's Seb Tribute Helmet
AND HERE WE HAVE THE PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE!!! The ultimate conclusion, it literally couldn't get better than this!! This is still unbelievable, like how is this an actual thing that happened!? Fernando intentionally branding his helmet, the only symbol of individuality in F1, with his rival's flag colors, HIS FLAG!!!!! Not to mention the literal "Vettono Best Moments" collage he posted alongside it....and the hand-holding....and everything that happened with them at Abu Dhabi 2022....
But god, after years of incidentally making parallel helmet designs, Fernando decided to officially tie the knot of the red string of fate, and make a helmet directly referencing Seb's. I think it's funny because as I said with two of the previously mentioned ones, those Fernando designs are pretty much inspired by Seb's, and here he is openly making one directly inspired by Seb. I don't really have words for how this actually makes me feel because it's just. Yeah. The most open and clear declaration of love and respect and admiration one could ever make. TO ME.

also I do think that will should get to hug Mike in one of those hugs where he picks him up a bit. i just think he should get to lift his boyfriend up!! i don’t even mean this in a “buff byers has to be strong and domineering” way, I mean it in a “they’re both dorks and I want Will to hug Mike so tightly after that pathetic airport hug that he lifts Mike up a bit and they’re both laughing and they both almost fall over and Mike deserves to be flustered bc usually he’s the one trying to get people to lean on him so I want to see him lean on others/be cared for by others even just in small ways” way.

Ensign Au where Tuvok’s always in sickbay for the stupidest little injuries out of an “abundance of caution” but he always has some excuse for why T’Pel specifically should take a look at it instead of the Doctor “she and I share the same physiology; it is only logical” and somehow even after she says he can go they end up talking quietly in a corner to one another until the Doctor snaps at them to get back to work. Also if sickbay is busy that day you can see Tuvok step in, assess the situation, then leave. Later the doctor asks if he needed something and Tuvok says no. “Then why did you go to sickbay?” “Routine security rounds.”

I’m sure you get a lot of asks, and it’s understandable considering how great you ladies are! I recently read your sustainability swap post (I loved it!) and I wanted to recommend something I didn’t see on there that’s incredibly important to me.
Swap out tampons and disposable pads for menstrual cups and cloth pads!! It’s an adjustment for sure (esp the menstrual cups) but it’s so good for the environment, your health, and frankly your wallet. I made the swap to a menstrual cup abt 5 years ago and haven’t had to buy tampons (minus a few early cycles until I started carrying cloth pads w me) since — and I’ve had the same cup and it’s still working great!
When it comes to the cups ItsJustKelli on YouTube has a great playlist where she reviews multiple diff products to make choosing easier (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVehiHoQpDmAQwa9UrHXF9IBzHp3cUenE). It might take some trial and error, but it is well worth the switch, considering your average cup costs abt $35 and (if taken care of) can last at least 5 years. And as far as cleaning it you really only need Castile soap, a repurposed toothbrush, hot water and a decent stainless steel pot to sterilize it in (any company you buy from has a How-To page on the cleaning aspect. They will try to sell their Special Soaps DONT LISTEN ITS A SCAM! Just buy Castile soap and toothbrush same end result!)
As for the cloth pads, there are so many websites for them, and most offer starting kits. They cost more than your average box of disposables, but rather than lasting you a few cycles they’ll last you YEARS. This website https://menstrualcupreviews.net/reusable-menstrual-cloth-pads/ has a list of them. The only brand I can recommend I got off Amazon (guilty as charged) and are great for getting started. (wegreeco Bamboo Charcoal - Reusable Sanitary Pads | Panty Liners | Soft Cloth Menstrual Pads - 6 Pack with 1 Cloth Mini Wet Bag (Medium, Luxury ) https://a.co/d/cTf4mfF)
Ultimately, when I was considering switching I weighed the pros: 1. Save money long term, 2. No longer contribute to the growing pile of blood-soaked, chemical-ridden used tampons and pads clogging landfills, 3. No longer run the risk of introducing toxic chemicals to my body via products made by companies that don’t care abt consumer health; and the cons: 1. More money upfront (which can be circumvented by shopping around and setting aside some money as is feasible), 2. Having to get more comfortable w my body (which ultimately was a positive), 3. The gross factor (downside: yeah you’ll likely see the blood, neutral: it’s your blood tho and you know where it’s coming from; neutral: w the disposable vs. cloth pads the end result isn’t that diff beyond instead of chucking it in the trash you chuck it in the washing machine), and 4. The adjustment of carrying a few cloth pads around (instead of the disposables — not that big of a change).
End note: I did not mean to turn this ask into a novel, but I am just so passionate abt this topic. So many ppl will go into the minutiae of cloth rags and cloth napkins instead of paper towels and paper napkins, the evils of plastic straws, and reusable bags instead of plastic — but not a peep abt the amount of disposable products used for 3-5 days (longer if you’re unlucky like me), every month (or every few depending on birth control, irregular cycles, etc.), every year for decades (think between 3-4 decades depending on start time and menopause) for millions of women worldwide. That’s SO MUCH. And here are two, slightly difficult but worthwhile, choices that can decrease the amount of disposable products clogging up landfills by the thousands long term. As one of the websites I linked says: “The average American woman uses nearly 17,000 tampons in her lifetime — or as many as 24,000 if she undergoes estrogen replacement therapy. And that’s just tampons.”
HELL. FUCKING. YES! Thanks so much for chiming in, baby. We love it when bitchlings share advice with the whole class, so never be afraid to write a long ask with good information.

Sustainable Living as College Student pt. 2
Some low waste swaps for college students:
Thrift, Thrift, Thrift- Explore the thrift stores around you, or you can find some really good stores on instagram, look for what you want and order from there. I am talking about clothes and also books.
I understand not every college has a facebook marketplace or a bookstore from where you can buy secondhand books, so contact your seniors, ask them if they can give you their books or maybe their friends.
Go to the college library, you are paying for it so make use of it.
Use book pdfs- If you can't access second hand textbooks, just use the pdf version, that is if you are comfortable using pdf versions.
Do not throw away half filled notebooks, you can rip out the unused pages and bind them together to make a new notebook for rough work or notes.
Buy stainless steel bottle instead of getting those plastic ones. If you already have a plastic one please DO NOT throw it away to buy a stainless steel one, use it until you can't anymore.
Use whatever leftover school/college supplies you have, there might be some pens/pencils lying around, it is better to use whatever you have first before buying a new packet of pen you will rarely ever use.
Instead of using sanitary pads or tampons go for menstrual cup/cotton reusable pads.
Digital note taking- Use your laptop/tablet to take notes in class if you can.
Use stainless steel straw instead of the plastic one if you regularly need it.
Sustainable living is not about going zero waste from day one and never using plastics, do whatever you can, you don't need to make drastic changes in your life just for the aesthetic, at the end of the day every step matters.
