Swamp Witch Hattie’s

Then, I went back out into the swamp – specifically 15 Banyan Bend Road, which is over by the Gautreau and Ladouceur houses. Since I converted that Twinbrook Laundromat into a new consignment store, I decided to use Norn’s Ragtag Resales lot for my new elixir shop. It is now called Swamp Witch Hattie’s after the lady who owns and operates it. (Her name was inspired by that old Jim Stafford song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY-RYFUz9TE).

When I opened this lot, I was really torn about converting it from a regular consignment lot, because it is just so well done. (I’m stealing some of your ideas, Norn, for the lot I did)! But it is also perfect for this.

On the outside, I did very little. I did add Supernatural spawners and a small garden area on the back right corner of the lot. I also plunked down the cowplant, since it seems like something a swamp witch might have.

Inside, I kept a few things, but replaced most, with stuff you might see in a voodoo shop. Never been to one, so this is all guesswork for me. I did keep Norn’s wall finishes, because Hattie is getting on in years and can’t see as well as she used to. Cataracts, doncha know! So dark walls aren’t an option for her.

Then downstairs, I placed those skill items from Supernatural – so visiting witches can practice. As most of you know, I don’t give my Sims any skill items – other than a bookcase – until they are at least level 5. Mostly because I want them to get off their lazy behinds and visit the community lots that I provide for them. So any Sim who wants to make elixirs or cut gems will have to come here. And pay. Sucks to be them. BTW, rumor has it, that that green gator was once Hattie’s true love, who jilted her at the altar. Not too smart on his part.

Then I started on the section of town where all my Shot-gun houses are located – Rue de Sterling. But I’ll save that for another day.

Anyway, thank you, Norn! I really like this lot!

⭐️ Redd spends a lot of his time at his friend's house- excuse me- police station. Connie hasn't met his friends, but Redd will talk about him with them.

⭐️ Moon Penguins typically take their parents' sunglasses when they wanna look cool. Every so often you'll see one wearing winged sunglasses because their mom didn't bring their special ones

⭐️ Express Owls get their name because they enjoy riding Connie's train do much, and thus have to act in his little plays. They're fine with it, his train is so cool

⭐️ C.A.W Agents really think they're super good at being in disguise. Unfortunately, a crow cannot hide the fact that they are a crow.

⭐️ Subcon has many myths, stories, and secrets that float around the woods. One of the most told is the Swamp, and how hands will physically pull you deep down. Some say it's a witch, some say it's an angry soul of one drowned in there. Everyone sticks to the path

⭐️ The Receptionist is actually Connie and Grooves' babysitter from before Hattie showed up. He still babysits, but not as often.

⭐️ Call Grooves by his actual name and Connie may actually murder you

⭐️ Badge gets really overwhelmed in loud areas, and will straight up flee if it's too much

⭐️ one of Connie's favorite movie is Blazing Saddles

⭐️ one of Grooves' favorite movie is Legally Blonde
