So my very first DIY was Tenney’s stage. I actually made it with the inside of her box, a dowel and some red fabric plus this terribly incorrect scale amp. It used to have a handle between the metal hinges but that’s long gone and several of the buttons fell off as well as the flower sticker on the side. I guess it got a lot of play 🎸

I didn’t end up keeping her “real” stage but I did keep the amp. I have a special affinity for the characters’ electric music players. We have Rebecca’s phonograph, Kit’s radio, Nanea’s radio, Maryellen’s jukebox, Julie’s record player, and Courtney’s boom box. Nanea’s was the first and we literally played the recorded stations for anyone who would listen! People were mesmerized…or just really polite.
