Tragedy has struck some of our fellow #Swifties .  My friend Kristen is the mother of 2 small children...Paisley who is 3 and Logan who is 6.  Recently Paisley was diagnosed with cancer out of no where which shook her whole family to the core.  To make matters worse Paisley and Logan’s father (Kristen’s husband of 7 years) passed away unexpectedly.  Not only does Kristen have to be by her daughters side in the hospital, she also has to now plan her husband’s funeral and also make sure her 6 year old gets what he needs as well.  The level of stress and devastation this puts on their family is so huge.  I am hoping by sharing this go fund me I can help to lessen the financial blow that Kristen is about to experience.  If you can’t donate please share for her, and say a prayer for Paisley, Logan and Kristen.  Thank you!

I'm hanging out with this guy tonight for the first time alone... I guess it's a date! We have been texting for awhile, but this is the first time in person. I'm really nervous. We are getting ice cream and going bowling so I hope it won't be awkward. Any advice?

First of all, I wanna say I’m really happy for you! I hope you have a great time tonight :) I think that it’s great that you picked an activity like bowling, ‘cause it means you don’t have to talk all the time. The bowling game itself is a great conversation topic as well, so things won’t get awkward really quickly.

As you guys have been texting for awhile, you know a thing or two about him. Things he likes to do, his work/school situation, maybe even things about his family… Talk about those things! He’ll love to see your interest in the things he likes and he will definitely ask you things about your passions. Maybe you have some of these things in common. 

As it’s you first date together, don’t worry about being nervous; he probably is too! I think it’s only a good sign, ‘cause it means that you care about what the other person might think of you and your night together. And he obviously wants to spend time with you because that’s why he’s with you!

If you get really nervous, try to bring the conversation to the things he likes. He will be talking a lot and that gives you some space to get calm again and just listen, without having to talk a lot. 

And most of all, remember to have fun and stay true to yourself! Don’t act like someone you’re not or say things you wouldn’t say normally just to get him to like you more. I hope you have a fun night!
