Is this bus driver a Maypul mood?
https://youtu.be/I6Uhek2aGRE
I was not expecting to be led to a video titled “No one stabs my bus!” so that alone earned itself a chuckle But yeah, I can definitely sense some Maypul energy here. I feel like the only way it could have even more of a Maypul mood is if the bus driver just suddenly scales up the side of the bus and gives the swordsman a piece of her mind. Sure, that bus driver might not be capable of such a feat, but given Maypul’s clingy nature (And also given the fact that she’s a treetop dweller), it’s 100% something she’d do. Now I’m just imagining this scene but it’s a school bus instead. “NO ONE STABS MY SCHOOL’S PROPERTY!”

Stones of the Godbinder
To the uninitiated the Stones of the Godbinder appear nothing more than two heavily eroded menhirs covered in barely visible crude carvings and nearly faded red-brown stains. Shallow grooves that seemed to have been caused by ropes or chains are also present on these ancient stones. Discovered in the ruined Rovosian city of Hirusaar the stones likely pre-date the Old World likely having been carved by early man. The vault where the stones were found was once protected by sophisticated traps and powerful sigils that ceased to function centuries ago.
Discovered by the Farrick Society Iwas personally invited to inspect the stones and what I discovered was perplexing. The relic presented me visions of primitive men binding gods between the two menhirs and torturing them in ways too foul to write. How primitive man was able to achieve this feat is a mystery, one that will likely remain so for all time. While the stones intrigued the Farrick Society they were not in their purview and so they were taken somewhere safe where they could be studied by responsible scholars. I will not say where.
“The vault where the stones were discovered must have been a sight to be seen back in the day...the very finest Rovosian engineers and sorcerers must have had a hand in building it. Nothing but the stones were discovered in the vault and I can assure you not a living soul had been within since before the Judgement befell Rovos. I would have liked to have more time with them but sending them away seemed the right thing to do...for everyone.”
-Martin Merrywick, Farrick Society senior fellow

Farrick Society, the
Formed by the students of famed atiquitarian Abelhelm Farrick after he vanished the Farrick Society has quickly become one of Arkera’s most exclusive and secretive historical societies. The Farrick Society is rumored to have an impressive cache of pre-human relics, many of which are skeletal remains. Before he disappeared Farrick left cryptic instructions to his students bequeathing them to carry on his work for one day their true purpose would be revealed. A relatively small order they often collaborate with other antiquitarian societies but are reticent about sharing too much of their hard-earned knowledge.
Headquartered in the inland Nykan city of Ivikmoore the Farrick Sociery effectively controls its politics and economy. Save a few nearly all members of the Farrick Society were born and raised in Ivikmoore and are descendants of the original students of Abelhelm Farrick making it as much a family as a scholarly institution.

back at it again with the TMA pokemon crossover. this time we talk about some of the critters the boys end up picking up
Jon and Martin end up taking in a phantump and a cubone for the same reason of “my kid now” after hearing their pokedex entries.
Jon gets phantump because his dumb ass got separated from the party and lost in Glimwood Tangle (”we got another Leon. another guy pants at directions.” - Gloria). but a kind phantump helped him find his way, and the little guy just sort- stuck around. not like it has anything better too do. and Jon is nice too it.
not sure how Martin ends up picking up a cubone but it doesn’t matter. his son now ( Martin, holding cubone: behold. my son. Gloria: you have a beautiful son Martin. Martin, choked up: thank you.). will hold the boi close when it gets sad about it’s mom.
the boys end up picking up a mimikyu and they adore this little guy and their mimikyu WILL hit someone with it’s stick if they’re rude too their humans. Jon has too keep Martin from giving the little guy a knife.
the boys are given a wooloo has a gift from Gloria and Victor. because these two notice they got sleeping trouble and like- nothing helps the soul quite like the fluff and warmth and unconditional love of a wooloo. the wooloo takes it’s mission VERY seriously.
a munna finds the party’s camp one day and worms it’s way into Jon and Martin’s tent too eat their dreams. because oh boy do these lads have a lot of dreams too munch on. and it just sticks around and keeps eating these guy’s dreams.
Martin ends up with a sinistea all because he happened too leave his cup of tea unattended and a ghost though “hm yes. mine now” and started haunting it. Martin loves his funky tea ghost.
i have zero clue how Jon gets an espurr but he does and it’s great. they find kindred spirits in each other.
Jon also ends up picking up a galarian meowth. he loves the thing too bits, Martin is kind of scared of it but it makes Jon happy so he’ll let this feral cat stay. god help them when it evolves into perrserker. this cat can and WILL stab as a warning (Jon: reminds me of you. Martin: .....alright, you got me there. But I am not as scruffy.)
Jon ends up finding an abandoned midnight lycanroc at somepoint and it reminds him of Daisy and so he keeps it. funky pupper, a friend.

i can’t breathe without you (but i have to)
He didn’t realize he was looking for Zuko until his gaze fell on the empty left side of his bed, the sheets as rumpled and cold as they had been in his dream. But this time, they were rumpled not because Zuko had been laying there, but because Sokka had been twisting anxiously in his sleep. This time, they were cold not because Zuko had slipped out of bed to meditate, but because he hadn’t been there to begin with.
or,
A missing scene from right on the target, wide of the mark, in which Sokka is left to pull himself back together after Zuko left in the middle of the night.

Bloodlines
For some mortals, usually those of high rank there is an obsession with tracing and archiving one’s lineage. Succession and inheritance have long been the cause of much bloodshed and this shows no signs of waning. There are numerous institutions that are obsessed with documenting and tracing bloodlines, notably the Er Straga Coven. In blood there is power, real power and symbolic and knowing how to harness such power can change creation.

Farrick’s Last Dig
Abelhelm Farrick was a famous antiquitarian that uncovered dozens of ancient sites across Nyka some two centuries ago. Throughout his fabled career Farrick became obsessed with pre-human history believing he was putting together the pieces of an unfathomable puzzle. While his work was largely discredited or simply ignored Farrick was onto something and he knew it. His final dig before he vanished was in the foothills outside the inland Nykan city of Ivikmoore.
What Farrick uncovered in the foothills was the mummified corpse of a large being not of this earth. Some have claimed it to simply be the desiccated remains of an extinct animal but anyone who sees the remains will come to reject this conclusion. The being is difficult to describe but looks to be a vague amalgamation of a seahorse, elephant and bat with a crude humanoid form. Before vanishing Farrick left strict orders for the dig site to remain undisturbed making the nebulous claim that one day its origin and purpose would be known to all. To this day the dig site is protected by the Farrick Society headquartered in the nearby city of Ivikmoore.
“Yes, I’ve seen it and it doesn’t look pretty. While it may be grotesque...it’s not frightening. That thing...whatever it was...I don’t think it was something to fear. Not once while standing guard over it was I afraid of it...now the raiders coming to try to get themselves a piece of it...that’s a different story.”
-Tom Bright, retired Farrick Society mercenary

what are your ships for Stica? for me, i can see her ending up with either Laura or Eolyne. I dunno what will happen to Alice but if the spoilers from AW are canon and she gets trapped in the virtual world by SK then i don't think Eolyne will end up with her.
Stica may be 5 years older than him ( and she doesn't have a crush on him unlike Tiese on Eugeo ) but who knows? maybe in the future they could have gotten together when she's an adult since they are not that far in age, if not with Eo then i believe a good pair for Stica would be Laura.
i dunno what's happening for the UW in AW time but i hope that it's the same time as the real world. i'd love to see Adult Eolyne. I hope that the UW didn't fall into the wrong hands in Unital Ring and that the AI there are in the real world like Alice.

Hipho
Hipho is one of the thirteen demon-worshipping cities of Kathos’ Karan Dron plains. The patron deity of Hipho is Tarfaaz or as he’s known to the cities residents, Nomaalesh the Lame. The citizens of Hipho are packed tightly into the city with most of them crammed into filthy disease-choked workhouses.
In the dead silver mines beneath the city live thousands of refugees turned feral. The city fathers have taken to dumping plague-ridden corpses into the tunnels in an attempt to kill the dwellers beneath...
“How the residents of Hipho can tolerate the stench I will never know. The air reeks of festering flesh and waste, it permeates all things even the most stalwart of stone buildings. The city fathers live on the hills above the city in grand fortified villas surrounded by groves of poplars. After I left Hipho I prayed for a cleansing rain to descend upon the city to wipe it from the earth and bring peace to the pathetic people forced to dwell within.”

Eshriael
In the Dinorian and Elshar faiths Eshriael is one of the seven archangels of the Almighty and his spearbearer. In the two religions Eshriael is portrayed differently with her being a more intersessional being in Dinorianism. A mighty warrior Eshriael is a fierce advocate for humankind and constantly lobbies the Almighty to intervene directly on the behalf of mortals. In ritual magick the name of Eshriael is invoked by sorcerers seeking protection from demons and alien entities from the dark spaces of creation.

My latest hyperfixation is pokemon and I've gotten to the point where I'm doing thought exercises like looking at all the regions and, determine which one is most similar to Lousiana's climate (parts of Hoenn), and using that, sorting through the pokemon and figuring out which ones would be native to here. It gets weird and subjective once you get to the ghost and fairy types but it's fun. From what I've come up with so far, the major types found here are grass and water and bug (cause wetlands), but given New Orleans' whole deal, you'd have a lot of ghost types around too. And then you get into the effects of Society and start thinking, about invasive pokemon species and are there if there's a pokemon equivalent to nutria and how the pet trade would effect the pokemon world and
it's fun to think about

You know what's bonkers to me? Since the agricultural revolutions, wheat, corn, rice, etc. have been the foundations for our diets, all of which are just grasses we've changed through selectively growing them. But the most crazy part of it is, those changes didn't happen over hundreds of years, they happened over a little more than a lifetime. A single lifetime

Adanaq
Adanaq born of two mothers is the goddess of the hunt, the wilderness and farming in the Suqwat pantheon. When her rival mothers both attempted to pit the spirited goddess against one another Adanaq fled to the mortal realm where she was raised by an old hermit woman and her family of talking oxen. Adanaq appears as a pretty, round-faced girl in white fur with a bow and bone spear slung on her back.

Gallery of Saints & Martyrs
Located in the City of All Prophets, the religious capital of the Ventrist faith the Gallery of Saints & Martyrs is a hallowed repository of sacred relics. Most of the relics are mundane objects that belonged to the many saints and martyrs including weapons, prayer beads, chalices and other ritual objects that hold historical value but little else. The most sacred relics, those imbued with sacred power are not on display though reasonable facsimiles are on display with few the wiser.
Most pilgrims do not come to the gallery to gaze upon the burial shroud or silver fork of some long dead saint - they come to see the saints themselves. Sealed in glass caskets and other vessels are the bodies, or body parts of hundreds of Ventrist saints and martyrs. Dressed in shining raiment some of the corpses on display are uncannily pristine while others are skeletal or somewhere in between. With many saints and martyrs having reached grisly ends often only parts of their bodies were recovered such as the mummified head of Saint Ignatius the Tall, the golden locks of Saint Theodoria or the charred hand of Saint Helmarick the Hammer.
Most folks not of the Ventrist faith find the display of corpses in the gallery morbid or in the least unnerving - because it is. While unsettling the gallery is also quite peaceful and a testament to the faith of hundreds of men and women that died believing they were making the world a better place. I suggest a visit to the gallery but I implore you to be respectful...sometimes the dead are still listening.
