My headcanon for my SWTOR imperial agent is that the hallucinations never really went away after he broke free from the mind control — he suffered some irreversible neurological damage in the process, which he just never told anyone about. The hallucinations eventually settled as something predictable tho (this is a scifi video game headcanon it doesn’t have to be realistic) where he sees/hears Jadus when someone is trying to influence him via the force, Watcher X when shit hits the fan during a mission and he needs to focus on being coldly analytical and pushing his emotions aside, and he sees Hunter when someone is lying to him or trying to manipulate him. It’s basically how his subconscious warns him when something feels wrong.
So one day after he’s joined the alliance he walks into his quarters and Hunter is just sitting there like « hey babe, missed me? » but Cypher just figures it’s an hallucination again, business as usual, so he ignores him and gets himself a drink and tries to think about why his paranoia is making him think he’s being manipulated this time
And Hunter is like « lol okay silent treatment, rude »
Until Theron walks in and is like WHOMST. THE FUCK. IS THAT????
And that is how Cypher Nine finds out that Hunter is back from the dead

Conversation in the Swamps
Tumblr media
Love leads to attachment - and that leads to the Dark Side…
Her statement hung in the air like a hollow echo as the vision of her time in carbonite assailed by the visions of Valkorian taunting her. Yet she had loved once; deeply and was hurt just as deeply by his betrayal and thus she had sunk herself deeper into the Jedi Code for solace.
There is no emotion; there is peace
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge
There is no passion; there is serenity
There is no chaos; there is harmony
There is no death; there is the Force.
The darkness of the swamps of Zakuul, so different from the bustling city towers, allowed them in the darkness to hear the noises of the animals that frequented the marshes. A lot of these animals were predators and Claria and Lana had to be on their guard, their sword hands hovering close to their lightsabers just in case those weapons were needed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She had been encased in carbonite for five years; five years lost to the ruling oligarchy of Zakuul; a brutal dictatorship that had consisted of the Sith Emperor before she put the blade of her red-bladed lightsaber through him, ending his life and placing the rule over Zakuul into the hands of Arcann and Vaylin; the psychopathic children of an even more psychopathic parent.. The red-bladed lightsaber was the preferred weapon of the Sith and she had used it as a part of her disguise undercover on Sith worlds. Claria hated deception, but to use her green-bladed double-blade lightsaber was to invite certain death as an easily identifiable weapon of a Jedi. It was better to use the weapon of a Sith whilst undercover.
Darth Marr was dead, killed by the lethal force-lightning blast from the fingers of Valkorian or was he Lord Vitiate. And she had languished for five years encased in a tomb that kept her between life and death, unable to breathe, unable to scream, yet held in limbo as the time ticked away.
Tumblr media
And Lana had tried to move mountains in order to rescue her from her prison. Lana Beniko; a Sith Lord. Claria wondered how she had become best friends with the blonde-haired Sith. Lana was, after all, a practitioner of the Dark Side. Jedi and Sith were normally mortal enemies, but Lana had an air about her that seeking power was just not something she was interested in.
Tumblr media
Gazing into the darkness that surrounded the swamp Claria reminisced. Two years prior to the capture of her and Darth Marr over Zakuul, she had been forced to cut down the love of her life in the passageways of the Sith Empire’s Harrower Class Dreadnought that was Darth Nox’s flagship Marauder, a ship that was feared throughout the galaxy for the crew’s sheer ruthlessness under orders from the vicious and ruthless Darth Nox himself - member of the Dark Council and the pillager of worlds; unbelievably the once-gentle Keron who now refused to surrender and return to the Light Side of the Force and who longed to destroy any Jedi who crossed his path. After a harrowing emotional and physical battle between Jedi and Sith, her green shimmering blade had entered his body vaporizing internal organs and ending his body’s capacity to sustain life, she had seen him turn back; his irises losing the red-tinged yellow and returning to his natural brown as he breathed his last.
:Attachments can be a weakness to be utilized against you by those who would seek to destroy you. Do not follow that path, Do not mourn for me...I am free. I will be with you always in the light of the Force: Keron’s voice echoed in Claria’s mind, the gentle voice she remembered from many years ago.
Tears filled her eyes as she recalled the light leaving his eyes leaving them dull and lifeless as she had held his limp body and wept. She would now follow the Jedi Code to the letter. Even if Theron Shan was constantly trying to flirt with her. Same with Koth Vortena. The two of them couldn’t help it. Theron was always seeing women throw themselves at his feet. Koth was just a regular smuggler/wrench who seemed to be unable to keep a ship under him, until he had found the Gravestone in which they were currently sheltering. I will follow the Jedi Code; there will be no more attachment, Claria resolved. There is no love for me any more. My love died aboard the Marauder.
There was no way to come to terms with the loss of Keron, since she’d had to kill him. Being encased in carbonite was part of that problem.
*****************************************************
Hopefully my muse can come up with more.

"Getting a few scars before the droids make them pretty again? Oh, that's a mark of pride."
This quote from Kaliyo, as well as her interaction with the girl on Zakuul, have made me wonder why Arcann keeps his scars, especially as Emperor. He had the resources once on the throne to go to a droid to get them removed. So then, is it a mark of pride, shame, both or something else entirely.
For pride? I don't think it makes much sense that it would be the reason he kept them. He was known to be a ruthless fighter. The way he acquired those scars on Korriban would be physical proof he was bested by the enemy.
For shame? I believe this might be a strong motivation for not only keeping the scars but also hiding them with the mask. It is a way he could be punishing himself, a reminder of his shortcomings and the actions he's done.
To differentiate himself from Thexan? They were close. Identical twins. Arcann was time and time again compared to Thexan. Despite the fact they wore different color themes, they obviously had different temperaments, and they both excelled in different ways; they were always held up to the others standard. The scarring was something that made him stand out, something that disfigured his face enough that when he looked in the mirror, it wasn't like his brother was looking back at him. I imagine keeping the scars for that reason of not wanting to see Thexan in the mirror, especially after he killed him, is a big reason he won't get rid of the scars. Even if you redeem him, he doesn't want to have the same face as Thexan. It's just another reminder of who could've still been here had he not let his rage fester.

SWTOR Headcanon Project, The Forsaken
So, to finally get back in the swing of things. I came up with a fun headcanon project that I'm really into so far. Credit to @swtorpadawan 's Unforgiven headcanon and @raven-of-domain-kwaad 's love for Lord Loyat (and all the shit Ryscha Kine goes through) inspiring this, as well as @serenofroses and @voidendron for getting me into headcanon writing.
Now let's get into it! 'Forsaken' is a codename for a Jedi Strike Team (and eventual found family) underneath the SIS (a bit like the Sixth Line, but not as...religiously militant) that's comprised of 'misfits' within the Jedi Order. I'm still working on the formation, but so far, this is what I got for the main cast.
Tumblr media
Artek Sefyr, the Hero of Tython and leader of the Forsaken. After breaking free from the Emperor's influence, Artek frequently tapped into the Dark Side to face against the Emperor during Chapter 3 of the class story. This led to him not being promoted to Master and getting taken off of the front lines, which he was not happy about. However, the SIS took notice of his physical prowess and leadership abilities, offering him an opportunity to put his skills to use in this Jedi Strike Team. Artek easily accepted the role.
Tumblr media
Praven, my beloved. Anyway, Praven is here for a somewhat different reason. While part of him has felt somewhat out of place in the Jedi Order, that's not why he joined the Forsaken. Rather, it's his concern over Artek's decline into the Dark Side, worried he'll end up just like Angral. Because of his cool-headed disposition and honorable side, Praven acts as the second-in-command for the team.
Tumblr media
Bengel Morr was more or less the first member recruited after Artek. While he had been redeemed following his defeat, he was still very guilt-ridden after the Flesh Raider Uprising he caused. He joined the team as a way to atone for his past mistakes.
Tumblr media
Nalen Raloch, formerly seduced with power, now looking to restore his status as a protector of the people. Also tends to butt heads with Bengel up above.
Tumblr media
Ako Domi, the former hero of Sullust, now hoping to restore his status as a heroic figure once again.
Tumblr media
Loyat here is the newest of the Forsaken. After being defeated by Artek on Ilum, she abandoned the ways of the Sith, later joining Artek in killing her lover/abuser Darth Arho. She's actually a pretty nice gal, but really struggles with her emotions.
Tumblr media
Sajar rounds out the team, more or less acting as their 'seer' for lack of a better word. Definitely the most reluctant to violence on the team in fear of relapsing into his old ways. And that's all I have so far. I might add in some more, and I do have a few ideas for non-force sensitive auxiliaries (including Watcher One and Agent Galen), but I can explain those later. For now, what do you folks think?

SWTOR Headcanon: I Ship Jaymizu Poh and Achitan
For those who don't remember, these two were involved in the "Reclaiming What's Ours" mission in Republic-side Taris.
Tumblr media
Jaymizu Poh
Tumblr media
Achitan
Jaymizu and her blustering brother, Relus, are looking to reclaim their family's lands (from 300 years ago) on Taris. When they can't get the Republic military to help, they turn to the player for help.
Of course, the player discovers that the squatters are a group of non-human's led by Achitan whose ancestors had an even older claim. Their land had been repossessed by the Senate at some point, apparently due to anti-non-human bigotry.
(Mind you, that would have been long before KOTOR1, much less SWTOR. There are VERY few examples of Republic anti-alien bigotry in the SWTOR stories.)
In my Halcyon Legacy, Ulannium Kaarz, my Barsen'thor, enountered these two and brokered a settlement.
And... i'm shipping them. I headcanon that both of them evacuate Taris when the Empire attacks, with Relus and most of Achitan's friends not making it.
And they find comfort with each other, eventually forming an organization to help refugees.
Anyone like this?

Been wondering about the timing of the Great Hunts that happened prior to the one that we play through, and it got me thinking.
There were 3 hunts that happened during the Great Galactic war, which lasted for about 30 years, and since we don't know the specific years, I assume they happened every 7-8 years. Then there were 3 hunts during the Cold War, one taking place right after the treaty of Coruscant, one - a year before the second Great Galactic war (the one we participate in), and one somewhere in the middle, meaning they happened every 5 years or so.
Now, at the current moment in SWTOR storyline it's been about 16-17 years since the last Great Hunt took place. And that makes me wonder - were there any hunts during this period? I don't remember any mention of that in the game or anything additional materials (although I could've missed it), that leading me to assume that there wasn't, at least that we know of.
But that seems a bit weird. The Great Hunt is an old tradition for mandalorians, a great test for them as warriors, they wouldn't just drop it. Plus there are only three surviving Champions by the time our BH finishes their class story, I assume they would want to have more Champions. So I headcanon that at least one Great Hunt took place after the one we took part in, the question is when.
To answer that, I looked at the frequency of the Great Hunts in the past (the ones that we know of), and it seems that during the time of war it happens less often, and that's understandable - the mandalorians were busy with the first Great Galactic war. Then, during the Cold War the frequency increased a bit, probably bc the things got a bit more stale after the Treaty of Coruscant. That makes me think that another GH would not take place under Shae as the Mandalore (first they struggling against Zakuul, then after joining the Alliance they were busy with security and whatnot, and now they are split between Shae and Heta), so a much more fitting time would be during the second GGW (especially because Artus didn't make the call to the clans, so they are not as involved with the war as before). Probably sometime between the events on Makeb and those of Shadow of Revan.
That would give our hunter something interesting to do (of course that depends on what kind of person they are), getting involved to see this Hunt through, test the new Champion with the targets from the Blacklist, maybe interact more with Mandalore and the Huntmaster. Plus it opens space to make even more new characters (altoholics would be happy).
Idk, it just sounds neat.

thinking about how lekku factor into gender presentation for twi'leks
to look at one example, headbands and lekku wrappings.
in SWTOR, it seems to be predominantly twi'lek women who wear headbands, whereas twi'lek men tend to not wear any sort of headgear. lekku wrappings are almost never seen on either.
in The Clone Wars, on the other hand, ornamental headbands like what we see in SWTOR seem to have fallen out of fashion in favour of plainer leather headbands worn by all genders, often attached to thinner strands that are twisted intricately around the lek.
also going into this post i thought different ways of draping the lekku around the body might be related, but having done a little research it seems to be personal preference/a matter of practicality done regardless of gender. bib fortuna, for instance, wears one lek hanging down his back and curled toward the front of his body and the other pulled forward and curled toward his back, almost over his shoulder, and so i thought that might be a particularly masculine style, but then there are twi'lek of other genders who've been seen wearing their lekku in the same or similar styles.
anyway what i really want to get at is how do trans/gnc twi'leks communicate that through lekku-related expression
we know that lekku are supposed to move and be involved in both gestural body language and twi'lek sign language more specifically, so i almost want to throw it out there that there are subtle gendered differences in lekku gesture almost similar to human things like manspreading or how women tend to keep their hands clasped together at rest whereas men are more likely to leave them at their sides.
much to think about i may come back to this later

Know what? Here's some random HCs from one of my Legacy verses because I feel like it
Kira and Lana are sisters, Lana being the older of the two. It isn't a well known fact and the two don't fully reconcile with their relation until after EoO. Prior they had a typical sibling rivalry as children and a tense strained relationship as adult upon reuniting years after Kira ran away.
"Kira Carsen" isn't Kira's birth name. Haven't decided her birth name yet but since she's Lana's sister she's a Beniko. Kira Carsen was the name she gave herself upon fleeing the Empire as a means of a fresh start, amongst fear of being found out as a runaway Sith acolyte.
Jaren Beniko is a high ranking Sith Lord in this (Kelsa was not). A stern but oddly soft man with his daughters and a no-nonsense strict officer in the field, he had a way of getting around situations through negotiations rather than drawing his saber, though he wasnt afraid to get his hands dirty if provoked (a trait he passed to his eldest daughter Lana). Was actually a Dark Council member in his early years prior to Kira's disappearance. Loved his daughters dearly. Because of his nature and odd habit of less ruthless approaches for a Sith, there was a rumor he was once a fallen Jedi. Still working on him but may roll a SW class for him.
(YES I'm playing here w the Benikos are Kenobi ancestors theory)
Ancient Sith Purebloods were dragons. Subsequently modern Sith, even humans, can become big lizard puppies if they tried. This is due in part to virtually most Sith sharing bloodlines w ancient Sith. Types of dragons varied/vary from fiery breathers to acid spitters to poisonous nibblers.
On the dragons note, though they CAN most Sith DON'T unlock the dragon form (it's a pain/not well known knowledge/assumed to only be from select bloodlines (which is bs)). The only known participant is Vowrawn. Because course he would. It surprised nobody as Vowrawn is from a very rich and old Sith family, almost considered nobility (Almost...😏).
On that note, Krovos and Shaar are Vowrawn's daughters through a past arranged marriage (now dissolved). Though he commited to the union only to appease family (neither spouse were in love), he does love his daughters and is proud of them and actively retains good relations with them presently. His ex and him are on good terms (they aren't Sith).
Mako is Force Sensitive in my verse (as is my BH). She was, obviously, never found by the Jedi; as a clone, and therefore part of a secret project, her name and identity were not held on Republic records (SIS files only). On top of that, her abilities are not as visibly apparently compared to other FS and she doesn't use them openly much (like Raina). She learns a few techniques from my BH, an ex-Jedi Initiate himself, and the two form a close sibling bond.
Post LotS Kira and Nadia are a married couple. They met before briefly during vanilla but only got to really connect upon joining the Alliance. Kira was the first to realize and have very much Bi Panic bc oh no. Knight Grell is cute. Very cute. She's so pretty when she laughs. She's got beautiful eyes halp-
Nadia however, was the one to make the first move, through various sputtering and flustered words, so nervous much pinning. Kira could only keep kissing her after that. Nadia will admit first she cried from happiness.
They are adorkable I love them ❤️
Jaric Kaedan and Syo Bakarn were quietly involved together prior to the First Son incident. It fell apart after Syo was arrested and brought before the Council for trial. Only then could he watch as his now former lover now looked at him with disgust. The heartbreak was something that plagued Syo just as bad as the guilt over the First Son's actions for years to come after. He truly loved Jaric.
Though not extreme nobility anymore, the Bakarn family is still very much elite and one of the more famous families on Corellia. These days they run a successful distillery business, which keeps them up in the ranks as one of the more prosperous names. Syo holds a share of the family's company.
Syo has two younger siblings. His brother (middle child) is an immature spoiled person who latched onto their family's title and status, preferring to drink at the cantinas around Corellia and flirt with potential lovers (ur 42 Jack stop). Syo doesnt get along with him at all. Syo's sister (youngest) is a gentle kind soul with a heart for helping those around her, though she has issues with temper and differing opinions. Syo adores her and she acts as his confident when he's home complaining about their brother lol
Jaric was born and raised on Tatooine. It was not a happy childhood and he strongly refuses to discuss it (AKA me brain can't decide on what to do there lol). Doesn't like sand. Satele is, for all intensive purposes, his adopted sister. She fills the hole in his heart left by the loss of his younger sister and he often sees her through Satele. Zho was a suggorate father in place of his bio one, whom Jaric has negative opinions about. He quietly regrets never reconciling with Zho.
May make an AU out of it but for a short time, Saresh almost became Theron's stepmother (she and Jace were seriously dating). Theron wants to vomit every time he remembers.
Jace has dated other people outside Saresh post Satele. But it doesnt last. His heart only belongs to one.
Marr did love Satele in his own way posthumously. It's not exactly full romance but...he cared deeply for her.
And that's all for now lol

Just finished the Corellian storyline on my newest Jedi Knight and was reminded of one of my favourite characters on the planet, Cole Cantarus. I was so delighted when he showed up again on Ilum.
But he doesn't show up again after that, so of course I need a headcanon for what happened to him since then.
Cole continues to serve as Captain of CorSec for a number of years after the Battle of Corellia until he is elected as a member of the Corellian Council a few months prior to the whole Ziost disaster.
As a member of the Council, he was widely respected and generally well-liked, especially as much of his focus was on repairing and rebuilding parts of Corellia that were still damaged following the Empire's takeover of the planet. (The Republic is the worst at fixing/rebuilding cities that are damaged in war and you cannot convince me otherwise, especially when Coruscant is right there.) He also tries to get the Council to significantly increase the planet's defense budget, but his proposals never gain significant traction as most of the other council members just roll their eyes and assume he's either paranoid or obsessed with his glory days of while in CorSec.
There's a lot of regret that they didn't listen to him when Zakuul invades and a star fortress is set in orbit around the planet, but by that point it was too late to do anything.
Cole was very outspoken against Zakuul's conquest and the existence of the star fortress and made numerous attempts to get Corellia and the Republic to fight back, seeing the Senate's decision to surrender every bit as much of a betrayal as the Corellian Council's decision to surrender to the Empire had been. Fearing that his attitude would attract Arcann's attention, Cole's husband and children convince him to step down as a Councilor believing that if Cole wasn't on such a public stage Zakuul would be less likely to hear or care about him encouraging people to fight back. And it worked. Either no one in Zakuul knew what he was doing, or because he wasn't anyone important, they didn't care.
A little over a year before the Outlander would be rescued, Cole and a group of likeminded Corellians flew a small ship up to the star fortress with plans of destroying it. They managed to dock, but when they exited the ship they were greeted by dozens of skytroopers and a Knight of Zakuul, who ordered all of them killed. No one escaped and their deaths were broadcasted to the rest of Corellia.
As intended, the broadcast discouraged any further attacks, but once the Alliance was formed Theron was able to convince a number of Corellians, including all of Cole's family, to either outright join the Alliance or to provide support - mostly in the form of donating as many starfighters as possible to the Alliance.

So Lana’s family, I headcanoned that she’s the daughter of average, but respectable entrepreneurs. She was the one extraordinary child in an otherwise average family. She has two brothers who are either average sith, or just normal people. Like, at family reunions, everyone else is living relatively normal lives, then Lana walks in:
1. Been a wanted criminal multiple times (SoR and after she breaks the Outlander out)
2. Just disappears for months or years at a time with no contact. Always comes back with weirder and more impossible stories. That always end up getting confirmed on the holonews later.
3. Founding member of the rebellion that TOOK DOWN THE ETERNAL EMPIRE
In conclusion, Lana makes family reunions interesting

A small headcanon regarding sith weddings (swtor)
So one of my headcanon regarding sith wedding tradition is the exchange of gifts during what we would generally regard as the “vows” part. Every individual involved needs to give something to their partner(s) during the ceremony, and while not necessary it is also generally expected to add a clarifying statement regarding the meaning of the gift.
The gift itself can be just about anything: a poem, an ancient family heirloom, a giant statue built in secret in the middle of the jungle on Drumund Kaas (not naming names). But what every sith knows is that the gift is important, because it will essentially state their intention and expectation regarding the purpose and future of the wedding. The items exchanged during a high-profile Sith wedding are a subject that are discussed and analyzed for weeks afterwards by literally everyone in the empire; it’s something that will be gossiped about and judged by your spouse’s family; it might even go down into legends. We’re talking high stakes here.
For marriages that are about consolidating power, you see a lot of posturing happen. Ancient powerful artifacts or priceless riches – even sometimes space stations or a small moon – regularly feature. For marriages of true love, there are all sorts of trends and opinions about things you craft yourself vs something that you buy, utility of the gift, the price, etc etc. You know, regular wedding stuff. (except filtered through the lens of what sith consider regular wedding stuff, so sometimes you’ll get, like, the head of your sworn enemy on a silver platter and not as a metaphor)
Now, on to the specifics of the weddings of my swtor OCs
(This applies to my main OC universe, in which my JK is Alliance Commander and all of the other classes were also separated from their crews for 5-ish years for various reasons.)
The Sith Warrior
Wolftamer and Quinn actually got married twice; once after she became the Wrath, and another time after they reunited post-Iokath.
The first time, he gave her his sole military medal, that he had gotten for a battle barely a few months before Druckenwell. (Moff whats-his-face tried to have it taken back during his court martial but Baras interfered.) Wolftamer in turn gave him the pelt of the wolf that gave her the scars on her face; the first creature that she killed with the Force. Those were both very respectable if slightly boring presents as far as the wedding guests were concerned. They held meaning of bringing their pasts and histories together in service of their future together, specifically Quinn’s military acumen and Wrath’s battle prowesses.
The second time, both of them were at a loss at to what to give eachother given that they’d lost almost everything that they owned save their ship, and that’s because Vette ran off with it when Quinn stopped answering his comm. In the end he gave her an entire Kintsugi tea set (pottery repaired with gold) made from shards of pottery found in some imperial ship wreckage – which he only managed to get his hands on because Jay the smuggler accidentally befriended him and then took pity on him – and she gave him a blank leather-bound notebook made out of actual paper with matching fountain pen – also obtained with help, this time from Vette. The meaning he was aiming for was “well, everything we thought we were going to be has exploded quite spectacularly, but we can still make something out of it” and she was straight up thinking about “new beginnings”, so they were both pretty happy in the end.
 The Sith Inquisitor
Machiavel and Andronikos had a lavish small wedding, which was the arrived-at compromised between “ugh can’t we just do this quick on Nar Shadaa” and “I’m a dark councilor, this needs to be an event.) In the end the wedding itself had only a few dozen guests but was very lavish and extremely publicized, to the point where it went down in history as one of the most exclusive social event of the decade. Sith lords bragged to their friends about being there even though they were not, because who’s going to contradict you, right? They also weren’t there.
In any case, this worked in Andronikos’ favour because no one had really explained the whole gift thing to him? He knew that an exchange of gifts were involved, but he didn’t want to ask Machiabel’s imperial friends (which he didn’t care much about) and Ashara wasn’t much more knowledgeable on it either. Tallos told him a lot of historical stories which he didn’t think were all that relevant? Maybe? In the end he gave her a pair of ridiculously old sith bracers with like, runes on them or whatever, because he’d heard a smuggler brag about looting an ancient sith tomb and he thought “hey, my girl likes this old stuff, right?” So he killed the smuggler and grabbed his loot and then he saw the bracers he thought further “oh neat, she likes fashion and stuff, some old bit of Certified Sith Armor™ is probably just what I need.” He told her all that in one of the most underwhelming gift-explanation of all times, but she loved it and made sure that it hit the rumor mill slightly rearranged as “An Ancient Treasure Of The Sith Obtained By Spilling The Blood Of An Enemy Of The Empire”. Andronikos is very well-regarded in sith circles as being clever and respectful of sith traditions.
For her part, Machiabel gave him the deed of her ship, which confused him a bit until she clarified that she was giving him ownership of her ship. The one she used as home, took into battle, and did her business in. She stressed that not only did she want to make it clear that their wedding wouldn’t impede on his freedom, she was trusting him with hers too. (cue oooh and aaaahs from the guests.) Andronikos very gruffly mumbled something at her and pretended he wasn’t having an emotion.
 Lana Beniko
Jay Mercadi, smuggler extraordinaire, had a lot of ideas for how to propose to Lana and absolutely zero ideas of how to marry her.
(The proposal went thus: given that it was shortly after the whole traitor arc, Jay straight up told Lana that she was planning a surprise for her for Life Day so she was going to be sneaking around a lot, hiding stuff, basically acting sus as heck for a little bit so, you know, heads up. Lana thought that this was both funny and thoughtful and dutifully ignored her girlfriend’s antics so as to not spoil herself for this Life Day surprise. Then they had a rooftop picnic about a month before Life Day and Jay burst out a ring and was like “ahah! It wasn’t a Life Day surprise after all! I bamboozled you!!” Lana was delighted.)
Lana was the one who brought up the gift giving during the planning stage. She was personally pretty neutral on whether to include it or not – she knew what they were about, and it wasn’t Jay’s tradition. But Jay liked the idea, even though she blanked on what to give Lana. Eventually Lana suggested a slightly modified version of the traditional gift-giving.
See, Jay is absolutely covered in tattoos. They are all constellations, made with a special bio-ink that always glows faintly and is powered by your body heat. (Jay is enamored of the notion that her stars will stop glowing when she dies. Lana likes watching her move around in their rooms when it’s dark.) They’re also all technically the “same” constellation; most planets have at least one that represents a traveler, or a ship, or something like that. Those are the ones Jay collects on her body. A hundred constellation as seen from the surface of a hundred planets and all about leaving to go be with those stars.
On the day of their wedding, Lana and Jay both get a tattoo together, and this time it shows the stars as seen from Odessen, and they officially name this first constellation (no one had actually gotten around to doing that yet, because there is a difference between mapping the clusters of stars visible from the ground and the cultural act of putting a name and story to them). And this time, this one doesn’t represent a journey. It represents its destination; the home that you are always called to come back to no matter how many times you leave.
Scourge
Some time after Jedi Master Ky-Andi and Scourge are reunited, they meet on the bridge overlooking the base and have a quiet conversation about attachment. Even though they are together now, they both understand that Jedis cannot get overly attached to things being a certain way; that change is inevitable and so what matters is to be fully in the moment, so that you may look back with fondness on a relationship even after its end. Ky-Andi refuses to poison their time together with the fear that they may be separated again. As such, he cannot make any promises to Scourge, or any commitment; not least because he already has two huge commitments in his life (Jedi and Alliance) that must by necessity come first. Scourge, being the very guy that yelled at him for going to save Kira the first time they confronted the emperor, and being the one who prevented Kira from running off in search of him when he disappeared, gets that better than most.
Still, Ky-Andi does make him one promise. There will come a time when Scourge will ask him to choose him over the Jedi, and he will say yes. But not yet, there is still work to do.
Things stay like that for several years. When the war has calmed down and the Alliance is thriving and stable, Ky-Andi walks up to him one day and tells him that he thinks the time has come to follow up on a promise, isn’t it?
And that is how Ky-Andi quietly resigns from the Jedi to commit to the Alliance more fully and also marry a Sith Lord. By that time he’s been asked to officiate a shit ton of Alliance weddings, and can probably recite a marriage speech in twenty languages including ancient sith. So yeah, he does know the traditions, and when questioned by Jay and Kira he assures them that he has it handled.
Everyone in the Alliance is losing their minds in anticipation in the days running up to the wedding. They have no idea what they’ll give each other but it has to be huge, right? It was to be meaningful! But then again, what does a Jedi have to give? Jedis don’t usually do the whole “owning stuff” thing! They are literally the opposite of Sith in that regard!
But Ky-Andi does have one thing to give Scourge; his lightsaber, part of a set forged on Tython years ago, the very first thing he did with it is spare a man’s life. And Scourge gives back his own, a weapon has carried for three hundred years, all the while he was waiting for them to meet.
(This actually causes a minor scandal; in all of imperial history, no one ever went and gave their own lightsaber. It’s just not done! And, well, a (ex)jedi marrying a sith was always going to cause a scandal in the republic too. Most of the Alliance thinks it’s romantic AF though.)

Darth Nox (Keron Yun), Dark Lord of the Sith
And the man that Claria loves dearly...and would have forsaken the Jedi Order for if he had stayed in the light...but...
Tumblr media
He fell to the Dark Side...and became a Sith. Expediency and brutal "justice" is all he cares about now.
Tumblr media
Like Claria, he carries a double-bladed lightsaber, but the blades are red.
...and he's corrupted a Jedi padawan to become a sith apprentice (even though she firmly decides she's going to stay in the light). Evidently this Togruta is going to be his conscience - "Do you really want to do that, Master?"
"Silence...Zavros...I want to kill something...painfully."

SWTOR Headcanon: Shae Vizla
So the character of Shae Vizla has had a long career in the SWTOR story. Heck, she played a starring role in Darth Malgus’ attack on the Jedi Temple of Coruscant in the Deceived trailer.
But there are some major gaps in her history, including about 15+ years between Coruscant and Rishi where we know almost nothing about her activities.
So - headcanon - somewhere in all of that, she decides to have a kid.
Maybe biologically. Maybe via adoption. (Because Mandalorians are huge into adoption.) Doesn’t matter.
But i love the idea of her taking up the role of Mandalore but keeping her kid a secret because if it got out, they’d be targeted by her enemies.
Thoughts?

SWTOR Alliance Commander Ask Game
Tagged by @starknstarwars -- thank you!!
Tagging:  @swtorpadawan (legacy of your choice), @consularmain, @admiralprawn, @starlightcleric, @shabre-legacy, @morphineage,  @vexa-legacy --- no pressure!
1) Who’s your Alliance Commander? What class are they? Alignment? Random other facts you wanna share?
Tumblr media
Eva Corolastor is the Alliance Commander in my universe.  She’s actually the second or third character I played through; my initial chars were.... I wouldn’t trust them to run a lemonade stand, honestly.... it’s like asking Guss Tuno to be the Alliance commander.  They were too chaotic and the KotXX expansions were just not working with them.
Eva is a gunslinger smuggler with a concealment operative subclass.  She finished her class story at DS 1.5-2.  Thereafter, she inhabits that grey space among DS 1, Neutral, and LS 1.
2) What’s a reason or two you like that this character is your Commander?
Eva initially leveraged Voidfleet as the balance of power in the galaxy and made the Hutts her rival.  She offered a viable alternative to other established organizations in the galaxy.  She did run a criminal empire before being popsicled.  In terms of ability and experience, heading a revolutionary faction isn’t a bad fit.
3) What’s a reason or two you don’t like about them being Commander?
Well, I did this to myself; I’m writing the post-Yavin through Ziost and Eternal Fleet section as a tragedy worthy of the label ‘space opera.’  In order for the character to be Commander, everything they knew had to be lost.
In the particular case of the smuggler, none of their companions are actually story-required pick-ups, like Gault or T7 or Kaliyo or Aric.  They only come back in story alerts.
As a result, I despise the fact that there is no ‘canon’ to play off of for the smuggler class after the cut scene with Corso at Eternal Fleet.  Nothing.  You can choose to recruit Bowdaar, Guss, Risha, Corso, and Akaavi.  Or not.  That’s it.
4) Why did this character of all your OCs become Commander?
The Voidhound was a true neutral in the galaxy. She favored no one in terms of the deals she made.  Her top concern was Voidfleet.  She had turned on the Republic after Corellia, and while she worked publicly to evac civilians off Makeb, she also kept the Imps there supplied and kept a hand in the isotope-5 there.  She hadn’t played favorites before.  She worked with Theron Shan and Lana Beniko to defeat a doomsday cult of Revanites.  The coalition on Yavin was a success, in part because Eva as the Voidfleet rep presented herself as a neutral option between the two major factions.  That’s a buffer for internecine conflict.
Nearly all of the other major heroes were partisan; the Force Users were loyal to their governments, as was Major Damas Quo, leader of Havoc Squad.  Cipher Nine became a Revanite.  The Grand Champion was a neutral operator after Corellia, but... Gronn distinctly lacks the organizational skills for this.
Jokingly, Eva is the Commander because Lana is perverse, writing smuggler fan fic in her free time, or just seriously has something wrong with her. Theron might have cooked up the idea of making Eva and the crew of Virtue’s Thief pirates on Rishi, but Lana thought making them cannibals was funny and a good intimidation factor.  When it came to organizing an Alliance, Lana picked the Voidhound.  Why? It would be the greatest con in the galaxy to convince all of these diverse and greatly oppositional forces to get behind the same figure : a criminal who plagued them all, yet had popular support from common people because she succeeded where their own governments failed them.
5) Who did they side with? Did they stay loyal or go saboteur? Or maybe you headcanon they defect properly?
In my headcanon, Eva kept the Alliance a separate entity from the Republic.  During Onslaught, Voidfleet became an extension of the Alliance -- or more accurately, the Alliance became an extension of Voidfleet.  They tend to favor trade with the Republic due to a shared value of ‘no slavery.’
Eva did appreciate Chancellor Rans’ offer, especially when it came to offering citizenship to Lana and others, but she had promised herself she’d never do a government job again.  Unless it’s her own government.  She is more friendly to the Pub, but hey, the Empire pays its bills....
6) Are there any NPC’s from the class stories you’d like to see/HC join the Alliance? Ex: Master Timmns, Ardun Kothe, Watcher One, etc.
I definitely would like to see some of the planetary characters we meet in vanilla again, such as Numen Brock from Balmorra and Alilia from Hoth. From the smuggler storyline, Rogun the Butcher (even though it would screw up my plottings.....). I think a very interesting option would be Jaxo from the Trooper storyline -- we don’t see her death on screen.  I think there’s a plotline out there for her, whether she gets done up like Shepard in Mass Effect or she found her own way off and enjoyed the liberty of being dead for a bit.
In terms of what I plotted, I actually have this really sad piece where Eva meets the kids she saved on Ord Mantell in the intro to the smug story.  They’re old enough to enlist now...and there’s still a war to fight.  Aren’t we supposed to suffer so our kids have a better future?
Some future.
7) How’s your OC feeling about the current Malgus situation?
“Should have killed him awhile ago.  Keeping him on Fleet is dumb, but at least they’re not making me babysit him on Odessen..... god, keeping him on Fleet is dumb.”  Malgus might have some interesting ideas, but it always devolves into “my way or the highway” and he starts shooting.  Eva doesn’t like that.
8) Are any of your other OC’s part of the Alliance? If yes what do they do for the Alliance? Do they get along with your Commander?
Ramesses (Sith Warr) does emerge at some point during KotFE/KotET in time to save Vette while Eva saves Torian against Vaylin.  (It’s a shitty, unnecessary choice, and I stand by that opinion; I fix it in my universe so the entire Smug and BH crews get happy endings).
Fria (Consular) emerges after Nathema.  I’m actually planning on her dealing with the Jedi stuff that Eva seriously doesn’t give a kriff about anymore. Well, she never did, but now with the Pub asking for help ... Fria can liaise with them.  I actually have plotted that while Eva deals with the situation on Manaan with Arn and Theron, Fria, Tau, and Lana deal with Elom at the same time, rather than consecutively as we see depicted in the game.
Then we find out Arcann is missing. Ruh roh.
9) How does your OC feel about Odessen? (Bonus: how do you feel about it)
Eva likes Odessen more after Virtue’s Thief is repaired and she can leave it.  Before that point, it’s a bit of a gilded cage.  Still, she does find the nature stuff interesting and the weather.
Once the Alliance is legit and not a rebel faction, Eva doesn’t prefer to live there.  Great place for vacation, but Eva likes urban amenities and amusements... so eventually, Eva and Theron get an apartment on Coruscant  -- nice school district (I have an upcoming fic about that!).
Me Personally:  I would like to have Space: Civilization or SimCity 3600 BBY where we get to plan out Odessen’s development long term.  Total pipe dream, but I think it would make for a good mini-game and it would determine whether it remains a nature preserve and secret base or it become an ecumenopolis like Coruscant or something in between.
10) How does your Commander feel about being the Commander?
Eva initially agrees with Lana; this is a massive con.  She arrives at Odessen physically and mentally unfit for the job.  Then..it’s a different rodeo compared to what she did with Voidfleet.  It’s one thing to be the great spoiler, the irritating fly to be swapped at, the jester who makes a fool out of the establishments -- it’s another thing to be the dominant government in the galaxy.  Eva never liked the period between the taking of the Eternal Throne and its destruction during Nathema.  She feared becoming as corrupt or as oppressive as the Empire and the Republic -- absolute power corrupts, absolutely.
The Alliance, as we enter Onslaught, increasingly becomes more like the pre-Eternal Fleet influence of the Hutt Cartel.  The Hutts will always survive, but they get corralled to Hutta and its immediate neighbors.  Eva conquered a planet with soft power during my Rishi fic -- she formally began to do that again once Zakuul left the Alliance and the Eternal Fleet was destroyed.
Tumblr media
11) Favorite place in the Alliance base?
Outside of her ship?  The cantina.  She does like to go on adventures with Theron, whenever he decides to get away from computer screens, so she does camp, see rivers, climb mountains -- but that’s more due to the company than the activities.
12) Favorite mission in KotFE?
Hands down, Chapter 13: Profit and Plunder. THIS is what Eva and Risha did when not smuggling.  Remember the King’s Ransom in smug vanilla?  This is Eva’s element.  (And everyone loves a good heist story).  This is when Eva starts to feel like herself again nearly seven months after being defrosted -- not just physically, but ‘herself’, Eva Corolastor, smuggler.
Personally, Eva knew Gronn’s crew, and ol’ Gault was on that crew.  Watching the domestic drama of Gault and Hylo was better than the holos that week.  As a bonus, Eva found Vette, Risha’s childhood friend.  She’d do almost anything to reunite them....
13) Favorite mission in KotET?
Chapter 6:  The Dragon’s Maw.  Eva and Theron, undercover at a fancy party?  Yes, please.  Again, this is a heist/under cover mission fic ready to happen.  It shows both sets of skills at work, and I enjoyed seeing the Zakuul resistance. There’s also the twist of Arcann joining you if you spared him.
14) Least favorite mission in either? Why?
The Voss Walker stands out in my mind as ‘not fun.’  I’m also not a huge fan of Iokath, even before it became the first op after KotET itself.  Eva is one of those droids rights people, but ... fucking SCORPIO, man, you know?  I’ve played Iokath both ways with offing Scorp and letting her go merge with Iokath... and I still don’t know what my canon choice is on that matter.  Eva having pro- droid principles (which exist because I watched Star Trek TNG as a kid and loved Data) really complicate the matter.
15) Is your Commander successful because they’re skilled? Or are they perhaps just really lucky?
Eva is a professional gambler.  Always has been.  It’s a measure of both.
16) From our OC’s point of view, SoR -> KotET wasn’t a fun experience, did they develop any fears as a result?
Not really; all her old ones just came true.  Loss of Crew?  Check. betrayal?  Check.  Ship partially destroyed?  Check.  Physically unable to live as she did before?  Check (she does eventually recover, but then there’s natural aging - you can’t be 25 forever).  By Nathema, the worst has already happened to her.
So what’s next?
17) AU time! If your Commander wasn’t Commander, which of your other OCs would have likely taken their place?
The only non-Eva Outlander alternative scenario I really created was one where Marr became the Outlander.  In that scenario, none of my OCs join the Alliance, including Eva; they’re either dead or innately opposed to Imperials.  Eva herself decides to do Voidfleet full-time; if she joins the Alliance, then what happens if the Alliance is crushed?  There needs to be multiple lines of resistance.  That’s ... a very dark alternative universe I actively decided not to write beyond maybe a one-shot that skims the broad outlines of 16 ATC through 26ish ATC.
I think the most viable character that I’m working with (but haven’t created a scenario for yet) at the moment is Kallig.  Kallig is a LS Inq, but not super LS.  He’s very principled but also very nuanced; he has some quirks that would probably make people go “LS?  Reallly!?”
18) Who’s someone your Commander hopes they never have to deal with again?
Darmas Pollaran.  Theron makes sure she doesn’t deal with him again.
The disgraced Chancellor Saresh.  There’s a bit of an unholy alliance that eliminates the problem for Eva.
19) Does your Commander hold on to/still use any titles they earned before KotET?
Eva never, ever accepts the Commander title.  She is always referred to as Captain.  ‘Commander’ is arbitrary.  It’s a rebel government’s posturing at legitimacy.  Eva is and always has been the captain of her own starship.  Nobody can take that away from here; as long as Virtue’s Thief exists, Eva is the Captain of that ship.  Who owns and flies a star ship?  The Captain.
Theron presenting her with the ship in Chapter 9 of KotFE gives resolution to more than just one internal crisis.
Lana was pissed when she ripped the little name plate off the door on the executive suite and replaced it with a handwritten note that redirected them to Virtue’s Thief.
20) Share something, anything at all, you want about your Commander that you’ve not really gotten the chance to share before but really want to.
The quarters marked as “commander’s quarters” in the base map we have in-game... was never intended to be Eva’s quarters.  The massive executive suite upstairs was planned to be where Eva lived and worked, with a security team between her and most of the daily business.  That’s how Lana planned it, as a Sith adviser.
Eva despised it immediately; she didn’t want to live in a place that required a map to figure out where the bathroom was.  She strolled down to the smuggler’s den, saw a room of a good size, and asked Len to move a cot in for her.  “That’s a broom closet, Eva,” Lana pointed out.  But that’s where Eva stayed for two weeks, until Theron arrived with her ship.  All of her living stuff immediately migrated onto the ship.
The room off the smuggler’s den is now exclusively the Captain’s office.  Eva does business there, in order to keep Virtue’s Thief as her retreat and the place where she and Theron are together as a couple, out of the public eye.

so i'm an anthropology student, and one of my friends told me a headcanon yesterday about togruta having skeletal anatomy that's more cartilage than bone to account for the agility and flexibility of having been hunters and it got me thinking about applying ideas from bioanthropology to kind of fine-tune that headcanon and it was really fun
so i wanted to ask if yall would be interested if i were to make some posts/answer some asks where i throw anthropology at star wars? like i also want to think about things like twi'lek and togruta cultural expressions of gender and how lekku are involved in that, or the archaeological records of varying planets and just generally how different populations within the galaxy approach archaeology and material culture and preservation, and also very broadly i'm interested in all of the languages (especially mirialan) so if people asked me questions about those sorts of things i'd rlly enjoy answering them
