🖊️🖊️ for anyone you keep thinking a lot of
Ahdjshahjd I forgot about this ask after telling myself if get to it, sorry!!! 🙏 Someone I keep thinking about is Matthias!
• he's got a tattoo, technically! Is very small and there's a few scars obscuring it by now. I've never been able to settle in what the tattoo is, he won't tell me o(-< but it's a tattoo he got twice, first time it was carved off. Second time was in defiance of that. The tattoo is on his scalp, hidden by hair, just a bit behind his ear.
• He didn't care for hobbies. This man literally has none aside from his constant planning and lying. His whole life is geared toward his survival!

It's Carys time!!
- Carys' Jade Mech, Sparky, actually started out as an Asuran Golem! He was made by a talented Golemancer, overseen by Asuran Commander Voxxa, in order to help Carys monitor the Inquest-tech arm that Myrr has. Since then, Carys has tinkered with and tweaked him to add on a bunch of new features, and after her and her dads went on vacation in Cantha, Sparky was given an upgraded Jade Mech form! Carys can swap his Core between the Golem, a Jade Bot form, and the Mech form, depending on what she needs him to do!
- While Carys is a Mender, and spends most of her time in a fight healing others, she is quite adept at using firearms! Myrr in particular has taught her a lot about using rifles, and her style in using them is more akin to a Deadeye's than an Engineer's. - While Bryok and Myrr often mention Carys as their adopted daughter, the truth is more that she adopted them. Originally Carys was just the Mender in charge of keeping an eye on Myrr's condition regarding his prosthetic limbs, but eventually she became very attached to him and Bryok. At some point she slipped up and called one of them "Dad", and well. The rest is history!
Bonus:
- She's only lit the kitchen on fire the ONE TIME. The second time was Sparky's fault, not hers, and that's the truth. Even if Myrr is a big meanie and disagrees

Oooo how about Catarina, since I pmuch never talk about her haha my poor lil mesmer ♥ @sylvari-bouquet
Raw power. - ★★
Formal Training. - ★★★★★
Combat experience. - ★★★
Willingness to kill. - ★★★★
Previous victims. - ★★
So, Cat's story still needs a lot of work. I do know that she has a ton of training in statistics and combat, and that she ends up in the Dragon Lab assisting Taimi. She's a member of the Pact and familiar with Lei.
She's probably one of the least powerful of my OCs - she's much better behind a computer, plugging in formulas and helping with research - but she's also, conversely, one of the most willing to kill enemies. Cat is a little impatient with everything so... don't piss her off.

4, 11, 17 for Roaj
Thank you for the ask! I know this took a bit, but I got it done!
For those of you who want asks, here's the GW2 Commander Asks!
(putting this under a Read More for potential spoilers)
--
For Roaj!
4. How does your commander remember the fallen?
Roaj has etched the names of their closest fallen comrades and mentors into the scabbard of their greatsword. Roaj often stated that they carried their allies' memories in their greatsword, so when they struck down a mighty foe, they were striking with their fallen allies. Roaj's greatsword resides at the Vigil HQ as a memorial.
11. What is the proudest moment your commander has experienced?
Roaj's proudest moment may have been when they stood with Trahearne as he cleansed Orr and reached the conclusion of his Wyld Hunt. To have had shared the hardships of battle, many losses, and finally the triumphant victory over Zhaitan with the Pact, Roaj couldn't have been more proud of that moment.
17. How many people truly know your commander?
Roaj used to be very expressive and spoke their earnest thoughts without thinking first. Anyone who met Roaj pretty much got to see who they were up front. However, not a whole lotta folks knew that Roaj was Riannoc's aspect. The ones who knew were the Pale Mother, Caithe, and Trahearne. Not even Roaj knew they were Riannoc's aspect.

🌹⭐🍐🌀🌺 for Cioffi
Ooh, I love that selection!! I shall gladly talk about Cio, thanks so much :D I put most of this under a cut since it got pretty long! 🌹 How easy is it for them to connect with others and make friends? On the flip side how easy is it for them to make an enemy of someone? Are they the kind of person who hangs around the food table at a party and never talks to anyone or are they the type who can talk to anyone? With other asura in particular, it's historically (and this is very much a generalization) not been so easy. They've been put off by Cio's connection to Primordus (or worse, wanted to study her). However, with people who aren't so focused on that one aspect of her, it's been fairly easy! She's not really the type to go chat people up, but if you start a conversation with her, she'll be able to hold up her end pretty well and probably have a decent time doing so. As for how easy it is for her to make an enemy? Unfortunately, it can be pretty easy, if only because she is very willing to tell people off if they are of the "we want to study you like a bug under a magnifying glass" variety.
⭐ What is your OC afraid of? Any crippling phobias or some such? How do they act when scared and what helps them calm down? Does anyone ever find your OC scary? Why? Like her brother (although to a lesser extent), Cio's not particularly comfortable being underground. It's not something she shares because it involves a) another reason she's different than most asura and b) explaining why, and to be honest, this is a fear she deals with by avoidance until she joins the Priory. Their libraries are underground (or, at least, a good portion of them are), so she slowly learns to deal with it and be able to spend time there by grouping something scary with something she enjoys (like books, or crafting, or spending time with Sieran.) A more existential fear that she has (or had, after Icebrood) is of what her connection to Primordus actually means, if anything. He didn't directly corrupt her; it was the result of, basically, an accidental magic reaction. But could he still control her if he woke up? To what extent? That's more just something she ponders at night that makes it hard for her to fall asleep, though she's also had a few nightmares about it before. And yep, people have found her scary, usually entirely (and incorrectly) based on appearance. Some Inquest have found her scary because she threatened them with a flamethrower, though xD 🍐 What is your OC’s mentality? Are they overall positive? Negative? A bit of both? Describe their thought patterns and reasoning behind their choice making! Cio overall tries to look at things from a realistic point of view, but it's been tinted positive and negative at different times in her life. Looking at facts helps ground her, and it's what she sticks to most of the time. One of the more positive periods of her life was most of her early days in the Priory, up until Claw Island. She felt like her life was on an upward trend--she was happy, had a job she loved (and a person she loved), and was finding her place in the world. After losing Sieran, she got more reckless for a while, throwing herself into things and not really caring much because she very much had the mental state of "things can't get much worse". She took a break from field duty for a bit after Zhaitan's defeat to try to get in a better place--her decision, though her brother did very much support her in it--and was closer to equilibrium by the time she jumped back into action towards the end of the events of LWS1. 🌀 Where is your OC from? Where were they born? Do they still live there, if not why did they move? If they still live in the area how has it changed since their childhood? How many places has your OC lived in and where has been their favorite? Cio and her brother Pliarr were both born in Rata Sum, but neither of them live there now. Pliarr doesn't have one set home, basically staying in whatever Order of Whispers hideout is most convenient for his assignment at the time (or staying with his sister), and Cio lives in Lion's Arch with her girlfriend Ari. Neither
of them particularly cared to stay in Rata Sum--too many memories and too much unwanted attention. Cio's been to plenty of places, but the only ones that I'd qualify as "lived in" would be Rata Sum, Priory headquarters, and Lion's Arch. The second and third are tied for favorite. 🌸 What does your OC’s voice sound like? Their laugh? Are they good at singing? Do they have an accent? Oh gosh, I'm so bad at voice claims unless someone's already put a suggestion in my head asldjf. I hear Cio's voice as kinda like the canon one but slightly...warmer? If that makes sense? Like, not exactly deeper, but less bright. A softer way of saying the words that isn't quite an accent. (I wish my brain could play sound xD ) For laughing, Cio tends to laugh pretty quietly in a way that's more adjacent to a giggle than anything. It's an accomplishment to get her to laugh loudly, and if you do, it's probably the kind of laughing that'll last quite a few minutes. She doesn't really sing, but she could do a passable job (at the very least) if she ever wanted to.

pen, trope and wip!
pen ; what's your favorite font to write in?
I don’t really have one... I usually leave it on default, which is Calibri. It pretty much does not affect my writing ability. (For official things though, I use Times New Roman, as required)
tropes ; what's your favorite trope to write?
hurtcomforthurtcomforthurtcomfort
wip ; talk about one work that you've recently started/just started!
At the moment I’m not working on anything, but I’d like to write Yao more, because I adore them and their character just speaks to me. I’d also like to write about Hiraeth and Laranthir, because I never wrote about them and I ship them! (Laranthir deserves so much love, and sometimes I just want to write tooth-rotting fluff about them)

What do you think of lw1? What's your favourite part, and what you think could have been improved?
I'm SO glad that LWs1 is back! Unfortunately I missed it around the original launch and my brain likes to misinterpret things to the extreme (i mean... initial idea of scarlet was that she was our friend who sacrificed herself to save the world???? Come onnnnn) so the season being back? Awesome.
I don't like that they changed Canach introduction. I understand that some things may be difficult to set up now, buuuuttttt I can still not like the outcome. I think I read someone (but as always I don't remember who...) once point out that new canon-wise, we weren't there when the Karka crisis (karkasis if you will) took place, which makes us complete dicks to Canach. "Oh I heard you did bad things, I'm gonna show you attitude". - basically this. But to be honest, this is my hear say, I never got to actually check how it actually was in game because I never remember :(
Also I just like Canach and I wish he was there with me already :(
My favourite part of LWs1 is definitelly getting to know the squad, I get puppy-happy when I'm seeing them in their old models. Does this make sense? Also currently I am screaming about Scarlet's voice over in Tower of Nightmares. I love how this creeps-inducing menacing giggling turns into this low tone, when I feel like the mask is cracking and showing that it's not all fun and games to her. I also really love the idea of a villain using illusions of friends/family to plant doubt in the hero which ToN update really does well. I wish we got more of this kind of stuff, but, according to an old Polish saying - too much is unhealthy - it would probably get boring if it was overused.
In conclusion, I like lws1, I hope to see Canach introduction soon or else 🔪🔪🔪, I love seeing old baby squad and getting to know Scarlet better. I wish they handled Karka crisis differently but no can do now.
Thanks for sending in an ask! I appreciate it :)

One of my favourite romantic sylvari headcanons is them wearing each other's flora/foliage. Like a few stray branches in their clothing that don't match their own, or a few blossoms here or there that belong to their partner. Couples who have to spend long times apart growing out a piece of clothing to give to each other when they can next meet again. Romantics who might spend long periods of time cultivating blooms from their hair to make into a bouquet as a gift for them.

under cut for pictures and descriptions ⬇️⬇️⬇️
safe to assume they're all pan and poly for the sake of the poll Lethellis: If you like someone with dark and moody color palettes, good with their hands and even better at reading others, and the idea of a 2-3 year long slow burn in which trust and devotion are built, congrats! You're getting a life long partner who's practically your shadow who would kill for you.
5'11 (180 cm) ✦ Thief ✦ They/It
Tumblr media
Linnet: If your type is big soft man who would build a house for you from scratch, you're in luck! He's a bit on the quiet side, but his love language is actions, and he puts in the work. Loves to cook, and feels like sleeping with a heated blanket. His hands might be rough, but his heart is nothing but soft.
6'7 (201 cm) ✦ Engineer ✦ He/Him
Tumblr media
Myrr: If you ever wondered if you could find love in a bog, you're in the right place! This swamp looking sylvari has a heart of gold, with some home cooking that can't be beat. A romantic night by the water with the sounds of the frogs croaking, the fireflies glowing, while enjoying a tasty and hearty stew. Bring a bottle of wine you would like, she's used to something a bit stronger. If you're brave, you could try a sip, but be careful. The moonshine she's drinking could strip the paint off a barn.
5'6 (166 cm) ✦ Necromancer ✦ She/They
Tumblr media
Eidhneán: You're gonna have to ask this poor pining plant out yourself. He's thought through of so many scenarios of asking to be your valentine but he's shy, and couldn't work up the courage. Big fan of poetry and reading. Knows where all the best coffee shops are at. After being assured that you like him back, he builds more courage and would leave you little love notes.
5'3 (160 cm) ✦ Warrior ✦ He/Him
Tumblr media
Caislán: Big buff butch. That's your type. And your type is correct. She will quite literally sweep you off your feet. Shameless flirt and has little filter. Will plow you like a field. Showoff and showboats for you, bonus if you're a healer/mender to patch her up after. She'll ask you to kiss her better.
6'5 (196 cm) ✦ Elementalist ✦ She/Her
Tumblr media
Féithlin: You're a romantic. Not lowkey, no no no. You like highkey and high fantasy. You saw the kind of romantic devotion in The Princess Bride and knew what you were about. This gnc mage could blast Wizard Howl out of the water and still have time to conjure a bouquet of your favorite flowers. Well-versed and well-mannered, you wonder if the mesmer is all talk and tricks, but it's all genuine. If chivalry, devotion, and fun chemistry is your idea of a good time, they've found you.
5'10 (178 cm) ✦ Mesmer ✦ Any Pronouns
Tumblr media
Rosyth: You've caught yourself looking lovingly at one or two or more of the warden npcs in game. It's okay, we've all done it. This ex-warden now pact lieutenant notices you and smiles back. Brave enough to come to you first. Courteous, charismatic, and cordial come to mind. If you have a soft spot for the chivalrous knight-type, you can rest assure your heart is in safe hands.
5'5 (166 cm) ✦ Guardian ✦ They/Them
Tumblr media
Kienán: Tall and stoic, they probably come off as a little intimidating at first. Once you spend some time with them though, you see they're just polite and quiet. They enjoy sharing space together, and notice actions over words. Maybe it's their calming demeanor, or low soft-spoken voice, but you find yourself dozing off working with them; only to wake up later having been carried to somewhere better suited to sleep on than a chair, and covered with what looks like a hand knitted blanket.
6'1 (186 cm) ✦ Revenant ✦ They/Them
Tumblr media
Rónah: You're a sucker for golden retriever energy! Actual sunshine. Always happy to see you and makes even a bad day turn around into something nice. Lives up to the stereotype of wlw who moves in together after a week of dating. Hope you like pets!
5'11 (181 cm) ✦ Ranger ✦ She/Her

✨for Nixxte
Send me ✨ for a random thing about one of my OCs! (Optional: You can specify one!)
Nixxte can speak, using their very neat artificial jaw, but chooses not to. Not because of discomfort, they'll speak if it's necessary. But because it's more fun to be an inconvenience when possible to their coworkers uvu

Caithe
Oh this one will be interesting!
How I feel about this character
I have extremely complicated feelings about Caithe. Boy howdy do I have complicated feelings about her.
I think she's a very interesting character, especially during the Sylvari personal story! But I also think she gets away with a LOT of shit that the narrative does not call her out on or punish her for at all, and that's really frustrating.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Nnnnno one! She def deserves someone better than Faolain tho. Fuck Faolain.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
As of EoD? I'm becoming a bit fond of her bond with Aurene. But only in EoD. They did way too much telling and not showing with that bond prior to EoD.
My unpopular opinion about this character
OH BOY.
Well, as I said, I think the narrative doesn't call her out on things nearly enough. That's one main thing.
I also think they did a REALLY awful job at portraying her bond with Aurene. We're told that she has a really strong bond with Aurene, that she's like a mother to her... But she is never around when Aurene needs it. A particularly egregious example of this is during PoF, when a still baby Aurene flies off to the desert to find the Commander -- There is zero mention of Caithe, even though we're led to believe that theoretically, she'd be concerned about Aurene, right? If there had been even just a mention of "Caithe is worried and trying to find a way to follow her" would be enough for me. But there isn't, and it really bothers me!
Overall, I think Caithe is a very complicated and interesting character that is not handled by the narrative well AT ALL. She definitely has potential, and I did enjoy her role in EoD (Where she's actually there for Aurene, like she's supposed to be!) but generally I'm not very pleased by how she's written.
Also, disliking Caithe/not enjoying how she's written is neither inherently lesbophobic or misogynistic. I can't believe I have to say that. My feelings, and those of a lot of other people who also feel similar, about her have nothing to do with her being female (and I'm not even going to touch the fact that sylvari are inherently pansexual....), so I think it's very disingenuous/bad faith to accuse anyone of being bigoted simply because they don't enjoy how a character is written, especially when those gripes are not about her being female or gay at all.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
I just wish they did better with her bond with Aurene!! It's definitely better in EoD, but prior to that? It felt so much like an informed thing, without enough actual display of it in the narrative.
I also wish that there was more to the Commander calling her out on stealing the egg, that didn't amount to Caithe just going "WELL I wasn't thinking properly because of Mordremoth" and moving on. It's especially egregious with a Sylvari Commander tbh.

🔥📙 💧🍆 for Sorrel
@sylvari-bouquet oo for the grumpy boy, ok! ♥ Ty so much for the ask! ♥
🔥 Give us a list of general likes and dislikes, such as colours, textures, music, weather and other stuff!
He likes quiet and solitude, or the presence of the few people he cares about. Dark colours and smooth textures, simply flavors like a sip of black coffee. Weather needs to be warm, clear skies, plans clear and concise.
He dislikes sudden noises and large crowds of strangers, or bright flashy colours. If something is too sweet or spicy he can’t eat it, and the cold is enemy #1.
📙 What kind of subjects (of conversation, of discussion, in school or whatever) does your OC find interesting or engaging or that they can talk for hours about? What kind of stuff do they just find fun?
Sorrel doesn’t like to talk much, honestly. He’d much rather be the silent shadow to Cassia or Myka, listening and giving quiet opinions when asked, but otherwise content to observe. You won’t get him talking for hours about anything - he’s much more the casual listener type.
💧 What is the earliest memory your OC can recall? Do they know what their first words were or remember where they took their first steps? Do they have any mementos of their childhood they’ve kept such as a stuffed toy or tiny baby clothes?
Sorrel vaguely remembers waking from his pod, maybe days after Cassia. He was very small, very young, though, so it’s a blurry picture. He knows it was his father, Braham, that lifted him from the pod, and remembers being held close to a warm chest.
His first steps, first words, first everything were in the Eye of the North, because that is where he and his sister’s Blooms appeared, shortly after the end of Icebrood. They didn’t actually bloom until Terra returned from Cantha, but it wasn’t something they’d prepared for, so the Eye was home.
Childhood was... maybe a couple of weeks? A month? He and Cassia grew quickly from toddlers to children to teens - they are not full adults, yet, but it was a quick process, perhaps accelerated by what they are.
🍆 Tea or Coffee or Hot Chocolate? Sweet or Spicy? Fruits or Vegetables?
Black coffee, scorching hot. Neither sweet or spicy, mild flavors are what he likes. Definitely vegetables.

The Space Between
It had been a long day at the soap shop, and everyone was exhausted by the time the sign was flipped to "closed". So many people had stopped in to pick up last minute gifts, and many were not as patient as they could have been about the shop being low or out of products at that point in the day. "Does anyone want to actually go out and celebrate tonight?" Leyya asked as she watched Odetta come into the back and slouch into a chair. "Sheesh, kill the vibe more." This came from the meerkat perched in a tube near the ceiling. "No one asked you, Cepir. And you lost your stupid hat." "Ah! My fez!" From the other end of the table, Zojja shook her head and laughed. "Don't let him wind you up like that. Besides, there's still time to freshen up. Soon as Sheridan's done, one of us can." "Don't worry about me." Odetta finally looked up from where she had collapsed onto the table, head on her folded arms. "I'm not going anywhere but to bed with the leftover scones and tea." Zojja glanced from Odetta to Leyya, as the other asura shrugged. "But what about Zio and Iialli..?" "He's new, so of course he got assigned duty tonight. And Iialli is busy at Pheazza's because a ship came in with new inventory." "I see..." Leyya looked up as Mabon drifted in from the kitchen, sporting an apron that read "Mursaat do it Unseen". "Mabon, what are your and Sheridan's plans?" "Oh, nothing complicated. I plan on enchanting myself to look like a sylvari so we draw less attention, then wine and sweets on the beach. Why?" He looked at Odetta as she groaned softly. "...have I said something to offend?" "No, because that sounds wonderful!" Odetta sat up. "What about you two?" she asked while gesturing at the two asura. "Oh, we'll be heading to the Grand Piazza for an event! A combination fig tasting from an orchard in Cantha and lecture about mutualism!" "Don't think about it," Leyya muttered. "Why?" Odetta just stared at Leyya, face full of confusion. "You don't... oh. You don't know. Never mind. We'll bring you back some figs if we can." Odetta frowned, both at Leyya and at Zojja as she muffled a snort of laughter. "Okay. Thank you. I think." At that point, Sheridan came all but tumbling down the stairs and beamed as they caught sight of Mabon. "I'm ready!" "I should say," Mabon replied with a chuckle. "You're certainly eager." "You two have a good time," Odetta said as she made herself smile. "It sounds like you're in for a lovely night." "Thank you Odetta." Sheridan stopped briefly to give the woman a hug, as Mabon worked his magic to transfigure himself into a tall male sylvari with silvery birch skin. "We'll see you later!" "We should be off as well." Zojja got up from her seat. "Don't want to be late, after all." Leyya reached out to pat Odetta's hand. "I'm sure you'll have a nice evening in spite of everything," she said. "Chin up." Odetta watched them depart, locked the door behind them, and then set herself to cleaning the shop. Once that was done, she retreated into the kitchen to finally make herself tea, only to hear someone knocking. "You gonna get it?" She sighed before looking up at Cepir, who was lounging in his 'kitchen globe', an orb that Mabon had crafted and added to the pipe network so he could be included when everyone gathered in there. "I am considering it." "Well consider faster. They're knocking hard enough to rattle the walls." She rolled her eyes, but went to the door. She unlocked it and pulled it open hard, eyes shut while raising her voice. "We are closed-" "Even for Valentine's gifts?" She finally opened her eyes. Iialli was smirking and holding a box of chocolates, while Zio was standing over her and grinning as well, a bouquet held in his hands. "I... I thought you two had work," she finally managed. "Phee said she would manage without me. Can't speak for him." "I let the Zio charm do the work for me." Odetta folded her arms across her chest. "So you're in trouble." "Probably." He started to turn away. "Do you want the flowers or not, princess?" She grinned for the first time in hours. "Get in here, you two."

Giant hourglass free space, tyty :D You shall get Rel today! (A bit after you sent this, but here you go!)
"Nisha and I used to live with a group of Itzel in Maguuma. In some ways, we 'grew up' there, even if sylvari don't exactly age. I had friends there. We played music, laughed, wove new floors and roofs for the village. It was...nice, in a lot of ways. After my Mother died, we both left, and I didn't truly expect to see any of them again." (His mouth twists a bit.) "I found the ruins of our village after the fleet crashed, so I suppose I was right."
