Looney Tunes headcannos/Neat facts about Rabbits
This is mostly about Granny and Bugs. I always find it interesting when Bugs interacts with one of the Looneys that has never and could never be one of his antagonizers. That’s mostly Granny, Tweetie, and possibly Speedy.
It actually took a while before Bugs and Granny spent any time together. When Bugs and her started talking, he stated honestly, that it never really accrued to him to get to know her because she never made him feel on edge like the toons he was always paired up with and thought maybe they were not really supposed to interact. Granny was created after Bugs but was still aware of how odd that thought process was, and found it a little sad that he thought he couldn’t spend time with someone unless they might be a threat. She simply responded that he was glad he changed his mind and that he was welcome anytime
I like to think Granny still has her house. In a lot of her appearances, her consistent residence was a really pretty, three story Queen Ann. I also like to think it’s an antagonist free zone but Bugs still has to deal with Sly chasing Tweety and nearly knocking him over. (If you didn’t know Sly is short for Sylvester) Bugs actually calls him Sly in Space Jam 1, it confused me and had to ask my parents who explained that Sly was short for Sylvester. I like to think he still calls him that.
Now here is where the neat facts and head cannons come in
Granny, being one of the few human toons, is also the only one who pets the animal toons believe it or not most of them don’t mind because it’s Granny. Bugs, having traits of a hare is less sociable then a domesticated Rabbit (for this instance he is both a hare and a rabbit, I have seen people have that stupid argument and I am not getting into it). Less sociable in this instance means he doesn’t like being treated like a pet, so no petting. She apologized the first time, not meaning to treat him like Sly and didn’t ask either. She gets permitted to touch the top of his head and the back of his ears after a while, but not every time.
None of the other toons have seen Bugs sleep, he sleeps in his burrows or takes a nap at Grannies, almost every time he visits he nods off for an hour. Tweety takes notice
Tweety : he sweeps awmost as much as Sylvester
Granny: well, they are both nocturnal
Tweety: Bunnies are nocturnal?
Granny nods, tweety then hears a weird sound coming from Bugs, it kinda sounded like a far away helicopter almost like purring but deeper.
Tweety hops on the back of the couch Bugs is sleeping on to hear better: what is that?
Granny: hm? Oh! I believe he is purring dear
Tweety: Bunnies can Pwurr!?!
Granny, matter of factly: yes, it’s similar to cats only instead of using their throats, it comes from their mouths from their teeth.
Tweety: I never knew Bunnies acted so muwch like putty cats
Granny: that’s because Cats and Rabbits are related dear
Tweety: Their what!?
Sylvester from the other couch: THEIR WHAT!?!?
Let's pretend this was a psychological survival horror movie (like The Descent) but with Animaniacs/Looney Tunes characters. Who would die first and who would survive the last?
Wile E Coyote
