Reborn
This is smth I’ve had posted for a while, but might as well share it here. It’s on both quotev and Wattpad rn, so if you don’t want to wait for more chapters on here you can read them there :)) This is the prologue so enjoy :))
It was silent. Everywhere they went, it was quiet. It was never this quiet. They were always surrounded by the buzz of everyday that when this stillness was forced upon them it was too unnatural, too unfamiliar.
And then, when adding the factor that they were at their school, the silence led way to fear. They knew there should be chatter, it was nearing the last few minutes of class so it was expected that there would be some kind of chatter. But there wasn’t.
They knew the reason behind the quiet, the grand motivator to all the chaos that had been caused for the past few weeks. They had figured it out a while ago, before the police even knew what was and wasn’t connected. They knew the significance behind the missing children, the suspicious bloodstains they always found just a few paces behind them. That grand motivator, currently in the same building as them, was determined to catch them.
They reached in their hoodie, clutching a small dagger that laid inside one of the many inner pockets. They didn’t feel safe walking around unarmed, but it was only natural. They knew they were being hunted, knew they were to die, but that didn’t stop the shaking of their hands or the suspicious glances towards doors and dark corners. If anything, it increased their anxiety, increased their urge to survive.
They also knew the police could do nothing to help. They could tell them everything they knew, get that murderer thrown in jail to rot, but it would do nothing. She’d find a way to get out, to continue her hunt of them until the blood in their body stopped flowing. She had to die.
She also beat them physically, their body too used to working on computers for hours to do much against anyone. They were weak, they knew that. There was no way they could overpower someone as strong as her. But they weren’t going to lay down to die yet. She had to die.
They wanted to leave behind something that would make everything clear, that after killing them she would find that she was now the prey. Just something, anything, so that way justice would not just end at her death. Her life was such a small price to pay for what she’s done.
But there was no use dwelling on these things now. She had to die.
As the final bell wrung, they made their way to the door. They were disappointed, to say the least, that they had to stay to help with the maintenance of the computer lab- a power cord was cut last night and staff asked them to help make sure all computers were in order, with extra credit points awarded to any class of their choosing- but they assumed it would only be for a few minutes. It made them anxious to have to spend this long with their back turned, but it couldn’t be helped. They just needed to be quick, and everything else would be a piece of cake.
They weren’t supposed to stay for two hours. Apparently the damage was much larger than just a cut cord and they still hadn’t finished fixing it. Their nerves increased by the minute and time seemed to become endless. They pinched their arm as they took a deep breath, forcing themself to finish the last computer before notifying the staff they were done. They were swiftly walking to the door before they heard a noise from down the hall. Spinning around, they were greeted with the empty hall staring back.
They decided to just shake it off and run back home, but the icy chill down their back was ever present. They weren’t risking their life to satisfy their curiosity. But ironically, right after thinking this and taking a few steps forward, they felt a sudden pain bloom and spread from the back of their head. They were barely conscious to hear the bang of the impact, barely feeling the harsh cold of the ground. They were only able to focus on that smile, Cheshire in nature as it gleamed down on them like a knife. She was here. Everything went black.
And then they died.

Alone.
These halls once bustling with people left it alone. It wanders the halls, waiting to hear the sound of humans once more. How long had it been since the main doors open?
Its shoulder bumps a creature it hadn't seen- a "Coil Head" it had heard it called by the last group of scavengers. Its cold plastic flesh and metal pieces scraped against the Bracken's skin bark, causing a hiss to come from the creature. The coil head doesn't seem to notice and is long gone before Bracken can even make a move in anger.
After pacing for what felt like hours, Bracken comes to a halt overlooking a room that once served as a locker room and mess hall. This Bracken, although having not experienced it itself, had seen some photographs when it was full of life. They looked so happy. There were so many people.
Why now were there only ever... four? Were they not coming back for it? Were they not preparing the messy halls for habitation?
Bracken's daydreaming was interrupted by a sound of the door opening, and its leaves stood on end. A soft humming left it, and it scurried off toward the sound. Voices- laughter. People.
Perhaps these ones wouldn't be cruel. Perhaps these ones wouldn't attack it. Perhaps they wouldn't run away.

Loki's been perfecting his skills and techniques for centuries. He's probably gone through this particular scene thousands of times. But for Mobius it's the first time every single time. He's equally stunned and enraptured by Loki's beyond perfect scientific knowledge which from Mobius's perspective has developed probably in less than a minute. Nevertheless, when the initial shock is over Mobius instinctively trusts Loki with his life.

what i absolutely adore about mobius is that he never stops being kind. EVER. he has gone through so much and no matter what happens he always chooses kindness over anything else. we've seen him comfort strangers countless times without hesitation because he's just THAT good and he would never turn away from anyone in distress. even when he's clearly upset he's still kind enough to explain to victor what he's drinking and not even be annoyed at his constant interrupting but just say "hold on a second" in a gentle tone then focus on him again DESPITE EVERYTHING GOING ON to get him hot chocolate bc why wouldn't he do so? he doesn't question these actions because they come naturally to him, kindness is in his nature. why shouldn't he try to lighten the mood and be kind while they wait for their end? why shouldn't he reassure and comfort everyone around him while he's actively falling apart? these aren't questions for him bc he's at his core the kindest person in the show and he will always ALWAYS have time and space to be kind. god.

I’m scared for my lil guy Mobius on the timelines all by himself. What if some non-Kang related big bad who has managed to evade the reformed TVA’s watch and wants to control a bunch of timelines puts 2 and 2 together, realises that Möbius was a key player in helping establish Loki at the centre of the Yggdrasil (that Loki cares deeply about Mobius and visa versa) and comes after him in the hopes to oust Loki? Part of me feels like Mobius could handle it but Mobius doesn’t have big scary dog privileges anymore girlies, what with Loki being tangled up at the Citadel and it worries me. Sylvie is a slippery lil sword wielding snake (affectionate) who’s entire childhood WAS self-preservation and survival, she’ll be fine. B15, O.B and Casey are all somewhat afforded better protection from within the TVA but what about Mobius? He’s just a lil mourning retiree trying to make a new life for himself. What if danger finds him? I trust B15 to have some sort of protection and emergency measures in place for him but what if it’s not enough?

The Princess Bride and the Demon
Hi everyone! I'm still trying to think of a better title for this, but I hope everyone enjoys the start of my Devil May Cry Princess Bride fic! 💖(Also if anyone has some name recommendations for the fic I'm all ears for them!) Without any further ado, here's the first chapter!:
Once in the faraway country of Fortuna, through the green and luscious fields, one could find a small farm nestled near the ocean side. Two individuals lived in the quaint little cottage home: the farm boy with hair the color of fresh winter snow named Blake, and his now deceased former employer’s daughter, Dianthus. Dianthus was well known across Fortuna for her singing voice and for her beauty. What few knew however, was that she loved to tease the farm boy. Every day, Dianthus would beckon for Blake to do something for her.
“Farm boy, please fill these pails with water for me.”
Blake would only ever reply to her wants with three simple words:
“As you wish.”
What Dianthus did not realize early on though, was that those three words to Blake truly meant three other special words: I love you.
“Ew! Mr. Vergil I thought you said this would be a cool action packed story!” Carlo complained with his brothers nodding in agreement.
“Yeah! Where’s the cool swordplay you mentioned?!” Kyle added.
“And the big monsters!” Julio remarked as he crossed his arms.
“Patience is a virtue children, and I promise you that this story shall be entertaining enough for you soon. After all, this was the very story my own father would tell Dante and me when we were your age, now… where was I?” Vergil said as he began to scan over the pages of the brown leather book he held in his hands. The man had wanted to try building a connection with his son, but he didn’t expect to find himself telling Nero’s sons a bedtime story. When Kyrie had asked him for help he felt like he couldn’t say no to her, and he thankfully had spotted a copy of The Princess Bride within the bookshelf of children’s books in the home.
“Ah, here we were…. Let’s get back into the story.”
When the young woman finally began to understand Blake’s feelings, they found a love in each other like no other had ever had before. A love so powerful that the love found in fairy tales would pale in comparison. However, tragedy would soon strike. Blake soon left on a ship to find work outside of the country so that he could save up to marry Dianthus, only to have his ship attacked and sunk by the Dread Pirate Redgrave. Knowing that the pirate took no prisoners, Dianthus became devastated at the loss of her lover. She had shut herself away in her home for many months after, only to receive a marriage request by the prince of the kingdom, Prince Engelbert Humperdinck. Dianthus could not refuse the royalty’s wishes, and thus, she became the crown princess of the country, though she did not love him.
“So wait, she doesn’t even get a choice as to who she will marry? That’s stupid!” Kyle exclaimed as he threw his arms into the air.
“And what about Blake? He can’t really be dead can he?” Carlo asked as he sat at the edge of his bed.
“What kind of story is this Mr. Vergil? This is just depressing.” Julio added as he stared at the man clad in blue.
“Boys, would you like to hear this story or not?” The half demon asked as he leaned back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other. This made the three children trade looks and nod for the man to continue his story. The man then readjusts his reading glasses, thinking of his own father for a moment before continuing on.
It was soon after Prince Humperdinck’s announcement of his engagement and soon to be bride that Dianthus was called to go assist an orphanage near her old home. She had taken the horse that she had brought with her to the castle to try and reach her destination by nightfall. Dianthus had found herself alone on the path through the woods for some time until happening upon three demons. One, a drunkard swordsman with a vaguely familiar shock of white hair, the other, a large demon cyclops with two animal companions, and finally a short demon with pointed ears and a large birthmark over his left eye. Dianthus’ horse backed up slightly as they drew closer.
“Miss, would you happen to know where the nearest town is? We are part of a band of performers, and I’m afraid we’ve lost where we were going.” The short demon quipped.
“I apologize, the nearest town is quite far off. There’s no one outside of myself that would be around here for miles.” Dianthus answered, starting to feel unease.
“Then there’ll be no one around to hear you scream.” The short demon chimed as Dianthus’ horse reared as the cyclops drew near, bucking the girl off and knocking her out.
“Antonio, get the horse and calm it down. Then add this patch to the contents of its saddlebags.” The short demon instructed the swordsman, causing him to nod and do as told.
“What’s with the patch? I thought this was just a kidnapping job.” The large bird rasped as it landed on the cyclops’ head.
“My master wishes to start a war Griffon. We’ll be compensated greatly for carrying out his wishes. Once we get to the border of Capulet, we’ll kill her there and wash our hands of this business.” The short demon explained as he looked up to the bird.
“Hold on, you said nothing about killing anyone Sid.” Antonio parried back at his client as he walked towards the others.
“You don’t have to do anything Antonio. I’ll handle what needs to be done. I just need you and these three in case things don’t go as planned.” Sid volleyed back as he began to head towards their boat.
“I can understand where Antonio is coming from though. She’s just a human compared to us demons. It’s not exactly a fair fight.” Griffon chimed as they all boarded their boat.
“You have no reason to complain, after all, if I hadn’t found you, you would be nothing more than dust by this point, and YOU Antonio, when I found you, you were so intoxicated that you couldn’t even order yourself brandy.” Sid snapped at the group.
“I was ordering a sundae. It seems like you need to cool down yourself.” Antonio jeered as he fixed the sails.
“Yeah, looks like someone is letting his temper like a little elf.” Griffon chided, sharing a look with Antonio.
“Maybe he woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.” Antonio chimed as he finished up his work unfurling the sail.
“Hopefully this adventure won’t be boring.” Griffon chirped.
“ENOUGH OF THIS RHYMING YOU TWO I MEAN IT.” Sid exclaimed as he was looking at his map.
“Hey, any of you got a peanut?” Antonio smirked.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Sid exasperated, infuriated at the two as they began to sail off.
“Alright. It’s bedtime for you three.” Vergil said as he marked the page in the book and closed it.
“But Mr. Vergil we can’t stop there! What is gonna happen to Dianthus?!” Julio said as he shot up from his bed.
“Yeah! Is she really gonna die?!” Carlo squealed as he jumped up from his own bed.
“And who’s gonna save her?! Is Antonio gonna change sides and help her?! Is that prince guy gonna save her?! You can’t just leave the story like that!” Kyle exclaimed as he too jumped from his bed. It was then that Kyrie came upstairs to check on them.
“Now boys, it’s getting late, and Mr. Vergil needs to get back home. Besides, you all have school tomorrow.” She soothed as she helped Vergil tuck the boys back into bed, causing the three to groan.
“If you’d like, I can come back tomorrow night and read some more of the story.” The blue clad demon offered, tucking the book away into his coat.
“Please Miss Kyrie! Can Mr. Vergil come back tomorrow night!” Kyle begged.
“Pretty please!” Carlo pleaded.
“We promise we’ll even go to bed earlier tomorrow!” Julio added.
“Well….. Are you sure it’s alright? I know things have been swamped for you three lately with everything going on…” Kyrie said, worried about the older man.
“I’m positive. I will come by at around the same time tomorrow. I’ll hold on to the book till then so that they don’t spoil it for themselves.” Vergil stated as he then patted each of the three boys on the head and made his leave.
“Goodnight Kyrie, Goodnight boys. I’ll see you all tomorrow.” The man called as he opened a portal with his sword to go home.

Sylvie chuckling to herself “pretty tech-savvy” as she hacks the elevator was absolutely a nod and wink to the audience but also she’s entirely alone in that elevator telling herself jokes which leads me to believe that she has been doing this for centuries. Just cracking jokes with herself and talking to herself and reminding herself of little things that make her laugh

When Loki hit rock bottom and was at a loss as to what he needed to do in favour of the impossible task he was set out to rectify he went to the only person he knew would show him the way. Mobius's wise counsel was all Loki needed to pinpoint and strengthen the firmness of his glorious purpose. This is one of the most special memories that'll be etched on Loki's heart for all eternity.

LOKI FINALE SPOILERS!!!
PLEASE SKIP IF U DONT WANT SPOILERS!!
Wow
I loved that.
I want to talk about Mobius’ ending. Loki has gone and become basically the keeper of Yggdrasil but on the multiversal scale, but what has Mobius got? He’s back to the old way at the TVA except now that Loki’s not there he doesn’t want to be there either. So he leaves, and he leaves to his variants life that we saw in episode 5, except there’s still no Loki showing up. His variant is busy with the kids so Mobius can only watch from afar, and then even when Sylvie says it’s weird without Loki, the camera focuses on Mobius’ reaction with his soft and sad little “yeah…”
Sylvie is able to go out and live her life again but even she knows how important Loki must have been for Mobius for her to comfort him. She on the other hand, only seems to be comforting Mobius over the loss of Loki, she herself doesn’t seem as upset.
She even asks what he will do now and the camera stays on his face for a good 10 seconds and he says “let time pass….”
just for this phrase to be repeated into the next scene with the music as Loki sits upon his throne within the tree of branches.
now with Loki, I honestly think he has become the God of Time. Because,
1, he learnt to control his time slipping, able to go back and forth in time as well as through to different branches.
2, after time slipping for so long, he learns how to STOP TIME and even He Who Remains was like woah okay damn.
3, he built up enough courage and determination to destroy the loom (which I’m guessing would need shit tons of power???? Like?), and he grabs the branches OF TIME, literally holding the physical embodiment of universes, and weaves them together into the tree (which I think is Yggdrasil). 4, Mobius saying let time pass is echoed multiple times as the final shot of Loki and the tree appear, further signifying he is now the god of time.
5, the time stone was green and so is Loki and the tree, just saying
