He did know, he always knew, the way her body shook, the expression on her face. even after she woke up she still shook... and every time he did the same thing, time and time again.

He wrapped his arms around her.

So close he held her, even when she was awake, a hand in her hair, his own eyes closed as he heard her whimper. A soothing 'ssshhh'  he gives her. The nuzzling never let up. Whatever nightmare she had, he would want to bring her out of it.

A soft shake of the head, he even leant in to kiss her cheek ever so gently. "No, Melanie, it's fine.." He whispers. "I'm here to make everything okay. I've got you, it's okay.."

Thing about being a Reaper was, he didn’t need to sleep. Hell, he didn’t need to do much of anything. But he had to sleep in order to avoid his true identity being discovered, which was easier said than done around the woman known as Alice. She was perceptive as hell.

He opened the door to the closet he had slept in and stepped out of it. He had been given a guest room, but he didn’t want to risk one of Alice’s kids discovering him. That’d lead to all sorts of questions.

He trudged out into the hallway and let out a sigh.

“Now how am I going to get out of this house without being spotted?” 

Oh, that’s right. He didn’t have an energy source. He couldn’t be detected,

“Just play it cool. Play it totally cool.”

He was so frazzled that he forgot he could teleport.

He turned a corner and damn near walked straight into Alice, only managing to step back at the last moment.

“Oh, sorry about that Alice-” 

His eyes widened. His palms were sweaty. 

“That’s a very flattering nightgown you have on . . . “ 

He coughed awkwardly and tore his eyes upward, forcing himself to look her in the eyes.

But they were beautiful too!

He was at a tactical disadvantage here. This woman was dangerous!

(( Tsubasa's favorite city-state is probably Gridania. She's a bit biased in this one since it's the city she arrived in when she was starting out, but she genuinely loves how in tune with nature the city-state is. In terms of overworld zones, she likes port cities like Aleport because she likes the sea winds. Her least favorite zone is the Tam-Tara-Deepcroft; it's just plain creepy.

Tsubasa lived at the Fortemps Manor during the events of Heavensward but she currently owns a small house in Shirogane and plans to move to the Firmament once housing becomes available. Said house is practically flooded with stuffed animals she collects during her travels!

I could probably talk all day about how the MSQ screwed Tsubasa up, honestly. Besides the obvious aspects (such as seeing a bunch of people die), the attention Tsubasa gets as the Warrior of Light is overwhelming for her at times. She feels she doesn't fully deserve all the adoration she gets because she thinks she'd be nothing without her friends. She isn't nearly as trusting of other people as she used to be either; she's wary of food and drink she doesn't see being made due to being drugged at the peace conference. And on top of all that, she also gets nightmares of all the shizz she's encountered. She keeps up her sweet demeanor so nobody worries about her, but her psyche is practically being held together by duct tape at this point. What keeps her going at the end of the day is the drive to help people and the desire to make sure nobody has to feel the same way she does.))
