Finally finished this!!!

turns out Bones is really hard to paint/draw and Spock low-key looks more like Sarek but I'm actually very pleased with how it turned out!

This is based on “the creation of Adam” which I believe was originally painted by Michelangelo but please correct me if I'm wrong!

Isn’t it kind of suspicious that we’re given absolutely no explanation of what happened between Kirk and Spock before the Motion Picture? If Spock’s decision to purge all emotion had nothing to do with something that happened between him and Jim, they could have easily just given us an explanation. Gene certainly wouldn’t have included Spock calling out to him as t’hy’la in the beginning of the novel, and their reunion wouldn’t have been so painfully strained and awkward. It’s almost as if everything that goes on in that movie lends to one particular interpretation that couldn’t be said out loud.

It has been a long time since I drew Spirk fanart, I’m finally back!!!

To celebrate my reunion with Spirk, I put a lot of effort into this one, drawing it for nearly 15hrs, inspired by the famous Renaissance masterpiece of Michelangelo - “The Creation of Adam”.

In the process of drawing draft, I discovered that although Kirk often being described as a lady’s man, his encounters mostly with guest characters we soon forget, in the contrary, Spock had girlfriend, fiancée, admirer who were regular characters throughout Star Trek series! In order to represent this outrageous fact, I deliberately picked those girls from different series, T’Pring from SNW, Uhura from AOS, Chapel from TOS… but as you already know, Spock, in the end, will always choose no one but his T’hy’la Kirk! (Don’t get me wrong, I love those beautiful and strong Star Trek girls, I feel bad to break their heart too, but I have no choice bcs I’m a M/M romance sucker🤷🏻‍♀️)

Here is concrete evidence that James T. Kirk and his first officer S'chn T'gai Spock are soulmates and lovers. If you disagree, fight with the wall.

1. Vulcans kiss with their hands. According to this, Kirk and Spock have kissed many times according to canon. I have included sources to back this up.

2. The creator of Star Trek himself said that he created Kirk and Spock’s relationship to be a “love” relationship and based it off of two gay lovers. I have included the source for this too.

3. Also, just take a look at all the longing looks Kirk and Spock always give each other. Look at how Spock, a Vulcan who has been learning to control his emotions since birth, smiles when he sees that Jim is alive. Also see how Spock touches Jim often even though touch is seen as intimate for Vulcans and so it is rarely used. Read between the lines!

4. Spock literally tells Kirk “I am yours” in Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan. Don’t forget how Spock tells Jim that he makes him believe in luck, and Jim replies and says that Spock makes him believe in miracles.

5. Also, there’s a scene where Kirk thinks he’s getting a massage from Spock (because he can’t see where Spock really is). It’s actually a female crew member massaging him. He’s enjoying the massage and says “dig it in there, Mr. Spock,” until he sees Spock walk beside him with his peripheral vision. He immediately gets flustered and tells the female crew member that she can stop massaging him. Do I even have to explain this one? This is so gay.

6. Also, in an episode of Star Trek Lower Decks, a picture is shown of an engraving made that says “Kirk+Spock��.

7. As a final nail in the coffin, don’t forget the scene in the one Star Trek movie where Jim leans in to kiss Spock and Spock says “please captain, not in front of the Klingons.”

If you are still in denial that Captain Kirk and Spock are lovers, then that’s a you problem.

For all those Roddenberry footnoters out there, I’d like to remind you that the novel was published prior to The Wrath of Khan and The Search for Spock.

You know, when Spock dies in the Warp Core, Kirk loses his absolute shit, then finds out that he has to bring Spock’s immortal soul back to Vulcan? Then discovers he abandoned Spock’s reincarnated body, and confesses that if he doesn’t White Knight across the galaxy to the forbidden planet he’d risk losing his own soul? So he steals the Enterprise, defies Starfleet, blows up the Enterprise, fights Klingons barehanded after losing his son, all to reunite Spock’s soul with his body? After that, Spock (having lost his entire memory after the reunification) gazes at and remembers Jim and only Jim, while Jim grins like he just found out heaven was real and he had front row seats?

Yeah. It was published before then.

I’ve noticed it’s pretty common in fics for Spock to be in denial or hesitant about his feelings and connection to Jim. I want to see the opposite. Something where when Spock sees Jim, he’s all in 200%.

I want a Spock determined to woo his T’hy’la. Intense, focused, possessive. He’s going to sweep Jim off his feet.

My preference is AOS but any verse will do.

I love when fanfic describe Vulcan bonds like it’s some sort of infectious disease “Captain im sorry to inform you we are soulmates, we tried masking and social distancing but it didn’t work” “you tested positive for being bonded to me, most unfortunate”. I mean that is totally probably not how it works at all but doesn’t mean I don’t love reading about it.
