Narrative
Riri was helping Shuri with a new project, which apparently was to benefit the border tribe. The lab was deafeningly quiet. Riri has been in Wakanda on spring break for a month and will return home in two weeks.
She realizes Shuri is acting a little down today; she hasn't spoken anything to her all day. She hasn't pressed Shuri to say anything, but she is becoming concerned.
"You ok, bro?" Riri asked Shuri.
Shuri nodded and returned her gaze to the tools on the table.
Riri nodded hesitantly and gazed down at Shuri's necklace. It was a necklace made of crystal. Riri noted that Shuri always wore it and had never seen her take it off.
"What's that necklace? It's almost as if it's shining. Is it made of vibranium?" Riri asked Shuri.
Shuri smiled affectionately as she gazed down at the necklace. She squeezed it in her hand, observing the various hues reflecting off her hand.
"Yeah, something like that." Shuri's voice drifted off.
Riri interpreted this as Shuri's refusal to talk. Riri took the tools and went back to work.
Shuri returned her attention to Riri, saying, "My wife made it for me." She said quietly.
Riri looked at Shuri with a surprised expression on her face.
"YOU WERE MARRIED!?" Riri screamed.
Shuri laughed at Riri's shocked face and nodded.
"How come you've never told me?" Riri asked Shuri.
Shuri frowned again, rubbing the crystal between her fingers.
"It's difficult for me to talk about her. I could go on and on about my family, but Y/N....it just aches." She said, while holding tears in her eyes and looking at Riri.
Riri nodded and expressed regret for bringing it up. Shuri shook her head and stated that she was not bothered.
"I apologize for being so distant today. Because it is my anniversary, I've been missing her even more." Shuri informed Riri.
Riri assured her they didn't have to discuss it any more if she didn't want to.
"No, it's fine. "I'd like to tell you about her." She stated.
"She made this necklace for me. I can communicate with her, and the glowing means she's safe. It will change colors based on her mood. When the blip occurred and everyone else came back, she didn't, including my brother and cousin. The necklace is now basically every color. But the glowing gives me hope that she's still alive."
Riri's eyes welled up as she listened to Shuri. Shuri basically lost everyone she loved.
"Can you tell me some more stuff about her?" Riri asked.
Shuri offered her a tearful smile as she glanced at her.
"Of course."
"She sounds amazing," Riri said, as Shuri finished telling her about Y/N. "I know, that's why I married her" Shuri proudly said, but her smile quickly faded. "I miss her," She said. Shuri didn't want to burden her problems and worries onto Riri, even though they were friends, talking about Y/N was dreadfully painful.
"Well, even though you can't communicate with her anymore, your necklace still glows. So maybe she'll come back one day. My grandmother used to say, life ain't nothing without faith. So you gotta continue to have faith that she'll come back, good things that are made for us always comes back." Riri told shuri softly grabbing on her hand.
Shuri gave Riri a small smile and quietly thanked her squeezing her hand back. Shuri dropped their hands and told Riri she'll finish the project tomorrow. She told Riri to shut down the lab for her, she was going to call it a night.
As shuri walks down the palace halls, heading to her room, it gets quieter, she thought of the happy days. The day Shuri and Y/N got married. It was in secret, Shuri proposed to Y/N on the beach, it was absolutely beautiful. Shuri was the oldest 16 and Y/N 15. Their marriage was in secret because both of their parents would not of approve of them marrying so young, but their love was strong and Shuri knew she would never want to be with anyone else.
Shuri walked into her room, walking straight into the bathroom to do her nightly hygiene routine. After she was done, she lotioned up and put on her pajamas. She honestly felt mentally tired. She was sick of coming to an empty room night after night. She looked towards her closet and walked in, walking all the way to the back, were Y/N's clothes in boxes.
She opened the box and pulled out one Y/N's shirts, bringing it out of the closet, and walked towards her dresser which held all of Y/N's favorite perfumes. She sprayed the perfume on the shirt and held it up to her nose. She smiled softly at the smelled, the thought of getting rid of your belongings has never and will never cross her mind, this is all she has left of Y/N.
Shuri turns off the lights and gets into bed. She places the shirt over one of the pillows, and hugs it, taking in the scent. Oh, how she wishes Y/N would come back to her. She wishes her whole family back. Of course she has Nakia, her nephew, Okoye, and now Riri.
But, it wasn't the same. She lost everyone. Shuri clutched the pillow tighter as she silently cried herself to sleep.
-Time Skip-
Okoye dashed through the corridors of the palace, heading toward Shuri's room.
"Shuri! ukumkanikazi wam!" With tears in her eyes, she let out a cry and pushed open her doors.
Startled out of sleep, Shuri gazed at Okoye with a worried expression on her face.
"Yintoni eyenzekayo?" She asked Okoye.
"Kukho into ekufuneka uyibone." She says.
With the Dora Milaje after them, Okoye and Shuri dashed through the palace's halls and out the palace.
Shuri turned on her suit and dashed over to the scene. The shore.
Though that was not the case, Shuri mistook it for Namor returning.
"Kwenzeke ntoni?" Shuri asked, as Okoye stopped her from walking on the beach.
Shuri nodded and moved aside only for Okoye to move back in front of her.
Shuri showed her face deactivating her suit, looking at the General suspiciously. "Ngaba siyazi ukuba ngubani?" Shuri asked her.
Okoye opened her mouth but nothing came out, she continued to take uneven breaths looking at Shuri who was losing patience.
Shuri took a good look at the General. Her cheeks was wet and her eyes were red. 'Has she been crying?' Shuri thought. Shuri tried to move around the General but Okoye moved in front of her once again.
"Okoye, you tell me what's going on, right now!" Shuri demanded staring the General in the eyes.
"We know who it is. Ngu ..... umfazi wakho uKumkanikazi wam." Okoye said, slowly her eye's tearing up.
Shuri ran past Okoye instinctively. She was running down the beach like a crazy person when she noticed Ayo and Aneka trying to revive Y/N, who was unconscious on the damp sand.
Shuri slid into the sand close to Y/N's body, placing Y/N's head on her lap.
"LOVE, PLEASE GET UP! DON'T DO THIS!" Shuri begged Y/N. She gazed at the bright red kimoyo beads on your breast, which indicated that it couldn't detect Y/N's pulse.
Shuri removed her necklace and noticed that it had stopped glowing.
"HAYI! NCEDA UNGAYENZI LE NTO, MNTWANA! BUYELA KUM! ANDINAKUPHULUKANA NAWE!" Shuri screamed. Her hot tears fell on Y/N's face.
The kimoyo beads then became green, prompting Y/N to cough up the water.
Shuri quickly turned Y/N over to her side as she violently coughed up the water. When Y/N finally coughed up the water, Shuri turned her on her back again, pulled her up to her chest, and clutched onto her.
Shuri cried into the side of Y/N's neck, thanking Bast for giving you back to her. Shuri moved her head from Y/N's neck and leaned down, pressing a small kiss to her lips.
"My Queen, maybe we should take her back to the palace so she can get looked at." Okoye said.
Shuri nodded and picked up Y/N, carrying her bridal style back to the palace.
-Time Skip-
Shuri observed Y/N, who was still unconscious, breathing steadily. She leaned over and kissed her forehead, brushing back the dark curls in her eyes.
Shuri couldn't believe she was looking at her wife like this. She was still alive and well. Shuri hadn't seen Y/N in two years, and she was experiencing overwhelming emotions right now.
Shuri turned to gaze at Okoye, who was walking over from talking with Ayo.
"How did this happen?" Shuri asked.
"A couple said that they saw Y/N wash up on the beach but didn't know who exactly she was until they got people to inform the Dora." She said quietly.
"When I got there and I got a good look at her, I knew then that was Y/N." She said, while looking down at Y/N and smiling.
When Shuri turned her head and saw Riri stroll into the room in her pajamas, the moment came to a halt.
"What in the hell is going on? I heard yelling and a lot of running. Did something happen?" She asked, concernedly approaching Shuri.
Shuri returned her gaze to her wife with a sweet smile.
"Who's That?" Riri asked.
Shuri returned Riri's gaze with tears in her eyes.
"This...is Y/N. Umfazi wam." She remarked, happily beaming.
Riri raised her head at Shuri before returning her gaze to Y/N.
'This is her?' Riri pondered.
"She's beautiful." Riri said.
Shuri glanced triumphantly at Y/N and Riri, stating, "Yes, she is. Ukumkanikazi wam omhle."
"AYE!" Everyone turned their heads, and what they saw made their hearts drop.
"Does someone want to fucking tell me why T and I just came out of the fucking ocean?!"
Shuri audibly gasped as she placed her hands over her mouth.
"N'Jadaka......brother."
Okoye smiled as she stared at T'challa through tears. "Uyaphila." She stated proudly.
Shuri dashed over to Erik and T'challa, wrapping her arms around them both and sobbing.
T'challa and Erik clung to Shuri as they sank to the ground. She wailed, clutching them even tighter, as if they might vanish again.
They held onto Shuri while she cried till she couldn't anymore, and the only thing that came out were her hiccups.
T'challa and Erik stepped back to get a better look at Shuri. T'challa had expressed her desire to cut her hair while smiling at her with tears in his eyes. While Erik stated that it suited her.
T'challa gazed around, noticing the Dora, Okoye, Y/N on the medical bed, and Riri, whom he didn't know. But who he didn't see was his mother.
T'challa returned his gaze to Shuri and asked where their mother was.
Shuri's lips quivered as more tears streamed down her cheeks. She started telling them everything. Everything down to the smallest detail. When she returned from the blip, the three of them didn't.
She told them about Namor and what transpired in America, as well as her attempt to bring Riri to Wakanda and her capture by the Talokan. She told them of their mother's death and that M'baku is now King of Wakanda, and she is Queen and Black Panther.
She told them everything that had transpired up until tonight.
T'challa and Erik couldn't find the words to say when she finished. They were experiencing too many emotions at the same time.
Erik had lost his aunt, and T'challa had lost his mother. M'baku reigns as King on the Thrown. And Shuri T'Challa's younger sister, Queen and Black Panther, has grown up.
In the last two years, their country has experienced both triumph and tragedy. Erik and T'challa couldn't help but cry as they clutched Shuri.
T'challa and Erik did express their admiration for Shuri's ability to handle things so well. Shuri thanked her brother and cousin with a warm grin.
That is everything she has ever desired to hear.
-Time Skip-
"Oh my god, Shuri!" Y/N squealed, caught off guard, as Shuri effortlessly lifts her off the ground and twirls her around, cradling Y/N's body in her embrace as she walks down the palace halls. With a playful gesture, she plants several kisses on Y/N's cheek, eliciting another burst of laughter from her. “Shuri, put me down!,” she manage to utter amidst Shuri's genuine laughter, even though her pleads for her to let her go.
“Not a chance, nkoszana. Do you know how long I've waited for this moment?” she tells her sincerely placing her gently back on the ground. Y/N looked shuri in her eye's with love and admiration. After Shuri told Y/N what had happened, she was heartbroken that Shuri had to go through all that. And she felt even more guilty about what happened to Queen Mother. Because maybe if she was there Ramonda would be alive, but Shuri assured her that it wasn't her fault, what happened was out of their control.
Shuri kissed Y/N, trapping her between their bedroom door as her mouth traveled back to that sweet spot on Y/N's neck. Y/N's hand made its way to the back of Shuri's head, gently grasping her soft curls as her passionate kisses, making a moan come from her lips. Shuri's hands creep down Y/N's body, caressing her curves before her fingers slowly find their way between her legs again, causing Y/N's knees to buckle for a split second, from not being touched in so long.
Shuri was delicate in removing Y/N's clothes from her body, allowing her clothes to fall down to her ankles. Her slender fingers graced the sides of her panties, she was not so gentle with, hooking her fingers underneath the lace that hugged Y/N's hips and ripping them, causing a shiver to go down her spine.
"All I want to do right now is love her down (Ooh)
I don't give a damn about who hears the sound (Ooh...)
We'll be in the groove until the sun comes up (Yeah)
Together we'll get lost inside the love"
“Mmm... I smell how wet you are, Sthandwa.” Shuri pressed into Y/N's clit once more, pushing loving circles into her before she made her way down to her clenching hole. Y/N felt drenched, desperate for her wife's touch but Shuri desired to savor this moment as if it were a rare occurrence, shuri was going to please her wife tonight. She's going to make up for the two years she's lost with her love.
"Let's make a love scene, steamy and blue
Erotic memories for an audience of two
And we'll make a love scene, let the foreplay begin
And replay each moment again and again and again"
She traced her fingers over your Y/N's entrance, feeling the way her pussy chased after her in desperation of release. The relentless teasing Shuri subjected Y/N to was unbearable, driving her to the edge of exhaustion as Y/N's impatience mounted, begging Shuri to put an end to it.
"Take it off, take it off, take it off till you get enough
(Whoa... whoa... whoa... whoa...)
Anyway that you like, it's okay, come and get my love
(Whoa... oh... ho... ho... yea...)"
Y/N yearned, craving Shuri's touch with a deep hunger, and Shuri desired her wife just as much as she did. For a moment, Shuri got off the bed, allowing herself to become entranced with the way Y/N's slick glistened her inner thighs, doing all this as Shuri unbuttoned her dress shirt and rolled up her sleeves, her Necklace glowing, and her Panther Grillz glistening against her ebony skin. Shuri was so beautiful and the sight of her only heightened Y/N's arousal, her core pulsing beneath Shuri's gaze.
"All I want to do right now is love her down (Love her down)
I don't give a damn about who hears the sound (Hears a sound)
We'll be in the groove until the sun comes up
(Ooh... ooh...)
Together we'll get lost inside the love (Oh, yeah)"
Shuri got on the bed, resting herself on her knees before motioning Y/N to lay on her back and she obliges, spreading her legs, her arms cuffing under her legs. Shuri's fingers lingered above Y/N's clit, grazing them along her folds.
"Let's make a love scene (Make a love scene), steamy and
Blue (Ooh)
Erotic memories for an audience of two
And we'll make a love scene (We'll make a love scene)
Let the foreplay begin (Oh... ho...)
And replay each moment (Mmm) again and again and again
Shuri wasted no time sinking her eager fingers through Y/N's folds, Shuri's digits getting lost in her thick, swollen pussy as Y/N feels the coolness of Shuri's rings up against her. She occasionally brushes over Y/N's clit causing her flinch every time, still sensitive from Shuri's lingering touch.
"Baby lyin' on the bed
Exotic fantasies goin' through her head
She's staring at me with those bedroom eyes
(Take four) Honey sippin' on some Chardonnay
The sex is even better when she's feeling that way"
"Are you going to be a good wife, and let me pleasure you?" Shuri asked, in a sultry tone.
Shuri's words make pounding of Y/N's core intensify, aching to be taken care of. Shuri licked a long stripe up her entrance, eliciting a sharp inhale from Y/N as she licked her lips at the taste.
"Tell me what you want, Ukumkanikazi wam?" She asked, kissing her clit.
"Ndithabathe ukumkanikazi wam." Y/N moaned out, pressing Shuri's head closer to her entrance.
That’s all Shuri needed to hear. She lowered her head to the heaven between Y/N's thighs. She swirls her tongue around her clit, moaning as she sucks gently.
"Umhle kakhulu, kumkanikazi wam." Shuri whispered, lapping Y/N's juices as she clenched around Shuri's tongue, feeling her climax approaching.
“Bast!” Y/N cried out, throwing her head back with eyes glued shut.
Any attempt at hiding Y/N's need for Shuri was long gone now. Shuri flicked her tongue rapidly over the sensitive bundle of nerves, admiring the way your legs clamped over her ears as she did.
“Shuri-yam,” Y/N whined, Shuri's name dragging over her lips.
“Fuck! Right there, mama. Don't stop....A-almost there!” Y/N utter, releasing her grip on the sheets and replacing her grasp onto Shuri’s dark curls.
Shuri's name continued to vibrate off the walls when Y/N's release erupted through her vessel, her body shaking as she rode it out.
The queen lapped up Y/N's essence, sucking every drop that threatened to fall from her center as she moaned at the taste. "You did such a good job, my Queen." Shuri praised, leaning up to kiss Y/N's lips, so she could taste herself.
Y/N reaches her hand out to her Queen, "your turn. Let me taste you, Panther-yam."
Shuri straddles Y/N's stomach, moving her wet core back and forth.
Y/N's hand grazes through Shuri's slick folds as Y/ N's mouth waters at the thought of tasting her mama, "My face. Sit on your throne, my Queen." Y/ N insisted.
"Bendikukhumbula, kumkanikazi wam." Shuri moaned, out softly.
Y/N doesn't respond, instead gripping Shuri's hips and bringing her pussy down to within her mouth's reach before going to town. Y/N start by licking a flat stripe up her folds, collecting as much of her essence on her tongue as she possibly can, moaning at Shuri's taste, "You taste so good, Mama." Y/N raised her other hand up and parting Shuri's folds to wrap her lips around her clit and suck.
"Girl, I'm down to take a sip from your cup
If you drink from my fountain of love (Oh, ho)
Girl I'm down to take a sip from your cup (From your cup)
If you drink from my fountain of love
'69 was a very good year (Do you remember, girl)
If you know what I mean, my dear (Ooh, baby)
'69 was a very good year (I could remember)
If you know what I mean, my dear (Let's do it over and
Over again)"
Shuri throws her head back, a loud moan falling from her lips as she begins rocking her lower lips against your face "Bast! Yes, don't stop! Ndiyakuthanda." Moaned loudly, looking down at Y/N
"Let's make a love scene (Let's make a love scene)
“What’s on your mind, sthandwa sam?” Shuri's voice held Sincerity.
Shuri laid on Y/N's chest looking up in her eyes.
"Nothing, I just can't believe everything that has happened in the last two years." Y/N said, looking up at the ceiling.
Shuri turns over, sitting up on her elbows, looking down into Y/N's eyes.
"Sthandwa-Sam. I know you blame yourself, and I'm telling you not too. What happened, what I've been through was not something you could have fixed." Shuri said, pressing her forehead against Y/N's.
"Here in this dimension
You and I are meant to be"
Y/N's eyes watered as she began to cry a little. "Yeah, but you had to do it all alone. I mean yeah you had Nakia and Okoye. But you've waited two whole for me. If didn't come back I would've wanted you to move on. Find someone other than me to make you happy."
"If you just give me 24
Man, all I need is 24 hours
I promise you'll want plenty more
You'll probably be with it forever
So how does it sound, us on the ground
Giving you my love?"
“Ssshhh, Usana lwam ihobe. I was never alone I carried you with me everywhere I went. Prayed to Bast every day that you would come back to me, never giving up hope or faith. And look what happened, you came back to me. On our anniversary at that." She said, smiling down at Y/N. Making her cry even harder.
"Come to me
Come, come to me
what you've done to me
You put a gun to me
Then you brought the sun to me"
"And as for moving on. That's something I could never in my days do. I love your sense of humor, how you’re always laughing and it makes me laugh. Puts a smile to my face when I have no smile to offer. I love your strength and your capability to love even though the world has not been so kind to you."
"Shine like blood diamonds
Learning to have patience only 'cause you are timeless
The universe energy doesn't lie
And this chemistry is infinity at a million times
I wrote a million rhymes describing your star power
And after 24 bars, you get 24 hours"
“You reminded me everyday of what it is to be happy. And I want nothing more than to spend the end my days, waking up to your perfect face every morning. I loved you every second of my life, and that's never going to change." Shuri finished tears sliding down her cheeks.
"There's no place quite like here
There's no better time than now
You gotta stay ready
There's no place quite like here
There's no better time than now
That's why I stay ready"
"I love you Shuri." Y/N said, kissing Shuri's lips.
Wakanda Forever is really the culmination of everything about a storytelling project I could love. Emotion, complexity, thought, reflection, self-grow.
We have the clash between two extraordinary cultures that the moment they dare to venture outside their borders are constantly challenged and pressed, and that costant pression puts them against each other when in reality they are more similar than you could ever think. But the world has dictated they shouldn’t be allowed to thrive, to be themselves, and that puts them even more at odds. Until they start seeing how the things that connect them are more than what separate them.
Every character has its own role and arc, with light and dark at the same time, but there are these two... who are so amazing they aren't just product of their people. They are so different, but so viscerally similar and connected by circumstances and experiences, even if they elaborate them in a very different manner, who might as well be mirrors of each other. The good and the bad. And the way they manage to balance being a beacon of their own cultures and their own characters with all that computes... strenghts and struggles... Wow. It's so well done it’s incredible, breathtaking, ENORMOUS. (Ryan Coogler you fucking genius)
But at the center of everything this is a movie which revolves around grief, about who we are in the end, how everything affects our life and how we grow from and with it. It's a story with a heart so big it trascends.
How. How could I not love everything about this story. How could I not spend every hour, minute, moment of the day to think about it. Relish in it. And talk about it non-stop to everyone willing (and not) to listen.
A cough wretched itself from your throat making you to stop to bend over and hack it out. Your entire body felt like crap and it was getting worse by the second. The sun was just a a few hours away from setting with the sky getting darker. You had stopped running the second you reached the forest settling for a slow gait. Your left inner thigh was on fire from that shallow cut as was the large open gash on your left cheek. Even though your instincts were telling you were right to run, your brain and body was cursing you for it. After all its know like you were truly thinking rationally at that point. You were driven by pure emotion and fear even now your emotions were still high.
As much as you wanted to turn back for help. There wasn't nearly enough strength in your body for you to do so. With no other choice in sight you decided to rest up inside of a tree with a gaping hole. In the middle of it and wait for the Dora Milaje to come for you, because they would come. You were like family to everyone and that's what you do for each other. They would probably searching for you already.
Right.
Palace
Shuri missed your presence for the entire day pouting away in her lab. When T'Challa informed her that the Dora Milaje would be conducting training outside of the palace today, and she wasn't to interrupt in anyway. She was upset more than annoyed you were the light of her day sometimes. Her best friend since day one when the her father chose to let you reside in their own. After both of your parents who were soldiers for Wakanda died on a mission. You were four years old when it happened, and truly couldn't comprehend why they didn't come back. It was Queen Ramonda who ultimately decided the royal family would take you in.
While you got a bit more freedom than Shuri did like being allowed to go to public school, and going out without being under a watchful eye. All the time that still didn't stop the two of you from becoming the best of friends. You would bring her back sweets when her parents told her no, and tell her of your adventures. If anyone messed with you at school Shuri would give you some type of contraption. The next day to use on them it didn't bring any harm to the bully just a small prank that would cause a mess or embarrass them. But as both of you got older life would pull you in separate directions. Shuri was always going to be on a different path from yours being a princess and all. But her talent and love for science making her want to spend all her time in the labs, and your desire to leave up to your parent's legacy. Not to mention prove all of the other girls wrong about you being to soft to join the King's Army is. What truly made it impossible for you and Shuri to spend as much time together as before.
She had to get use to you not being around that much just looking over her shoulder. While she worked or perched up on her desk cracking the occasional joke, whenever she grew frustrated with something. Once Okoye finally got back to you after your physicality test with her to confirm you were eligible to join.
Shuri spent a week afterwards low-key upset with the General for not failing you instead. While the princess knew it was your dream and your decision, and would never truly get in the way of that. She was scared for you to not only join the Dora Milaje because of the danger that came with the title. But she really feared how it would change your relationship with her, and was silently wishing something would stop you. Eventually her brother gave her a pep talk and made her talk to Okoye about how she was feeling. Unbeknownst to you the General made a promise to the princess to do everything in her duty to keep you alive and unharmed. If it was in her power to do so without betraying her duty.
Okoye anticipated Shuri's reaction the second you ran away, and knew it was best to deliver the news to T'Challa and Queen Ramonda first. She sent word ahead of time for them to meet her in the throne room for discussion.
"Are her injuries severe?" Queen Ramonda asked. After Okoye was done recounting everything that took place including your strange new ability.
"No they won't bring her to death's door or anything, but the gash on her cheek will need stitches. By now she will need antibiotics for risk of infection as well" Okoye said.
"Give me five minutes to suit up and then we will take a jet to go look for her." T'Challa said getting to his feet.
Okoye nodded and just both of them were heading towards the double doors. They opened revealing a slightly irritated but still happy Shuri who waltzed in. "Is y/n in here I've been searching the palace for her for quite sometime. I see all the other trainees are retiring for the day, so where is she?"
Okoye looked away still a bit worried of how the young princess would react. T'Challa opened his mouth to answer but no words came out as he was unable to find the right ones. You were like a little sister to him, and the only real reason he wasn't freaking out was because. Unlike his little sister he how strong and capable you truly were. Also he knew in your current state by now you were probably tucked somewhere in a tree. It wouldn't be that hard for them locate and rescue you. But none of those reasonings would prevent Shuri from freaking out at the news you were missing.
"There was an incident during training and she fled into the wild out of fear." Queen Ramonda spoke up realizing that the other two couldn't do it.
The smile on her face disappeared replaced with a frown. "What happened in training? Do we know where she is?
"Princess that is a long story and yes we have an idea. A search party is about to be sent out for her there is no need to worry" Okoye tried to soothe her.
But she wasn't having it. "You haven't sent out a search yet" she exclaimed angrily. "Why would she be afraid?"
T'Challa walked over to grip her by the shoulders. "Calm down Shuri you're not the only one in this room who cares for her. I will bring her back to the palace before nightfall, and then you can talk to her yourself."
"No I want to go with you to find her" Shuri demanded leaning back to catch her brother's eyes.
Immediately he shook his head no letting her break free from his hold. "Okoye and I can handle this."
"That's not fair brother she's my best friend I should be out there." Shuri insisted whirling around to face Okoye pointing a finger at her. "Tell him I need to go please Okoye you owe me this."
Okoye didn't know what to do on one end arguing with the king wasn't in her, but the pleading look in Shuri's eyes struck a nerve. Luckily enough though she didn't have to make a decision. Queen Ramonda once again saved the day by speaking up.
"No my child you will remain here like your brother asked. Trust him to bring y/n back to us, and when he does she will need immediate medical attention. Can you be ready for when she gets here?" Queen Ramonda said knowing it would be easier to convince Shuri to stay behind. If she had something to do besides sit around waiting in anticipation.
Shuri hated the idea of being cozied up in her lab while you were out there alone, scared, and hurt. She wanted to go look for you herself, but no one here would let her do such a thing.
So she decided to just stop asking. "Yes mother I can do that" Shuri reassured her with a nod. Then turned back to her brother and the general, "bring her to me straight away please when you return."
"I wouldn't trust her with anyone else" Okoye swore to her. T'Challa gave her a nod and both of them exited the throne room.
In The Forest
It was getting dangerously close to nightfall which meant the temperature was steadily dropping. At first you were fine not really noticing it, but eventually your body started shivering involuntarily. When you took a deep breath and released it into the air. It was visible and you knew then time was running out. There was no way you could survive a night out here in nothing but your training gear. Which consisted of a simple pair of black leggings, and a red shirt with a breastplate installed.
Your gut was telling you to go seek out shelter, but you knew without trying you were too weak too stand. You shouldn’t have a ran away like that. It was a stupid idea and now you were paying for it. You rested your head back onto the tree closing your eyes. A little nap couldn't hurt right you were tired and its not like there was anything else you could do. Whenever the search party came no doubt they would be calling for you. The sound of their worried voices would stir you awake then everything would be fine.
Just as you felt yourself slipping away into a dreamless slumber. Your ears picked on the distant sound of tree branches being crunched, and the grass ruffling. Instantly your eyes snapped open as you sat up focusing your attention. On the small hole in the tree that was the entrance to where you were. Animal attacks were scarce in Wakanda, but there weren't totally unheard of. You were in no condition to fight off a lion or hyena. As if the power felt the fear bubbling up inside of you again.
The same blue energy manifested from your open palm lying on the ground, and surrounded you in an protective sphere. The energy emitted a bright glow lighting up the tree, and acted as a beacon. For whatever was trekking around outside the tree. This power was seeming like a blessing and curse at the same time more and more. The sound of footsteps got closer and increased in pace. Indicating the intruder knew exactly where you were located now.
The footsteps came to a stop right outside the entrance to the hole. You tensed up expecting to hear a deep rumbling growl of a lion. But there was nothing but silence other than the crickets whistling, and the occasional bird. You wondered if the animal could sense your power, and if that's what was making it hesitate.
"Y/N are you in here?" A familiar face appeared peeked out from the side. It was Shuri the light from your energy shield making her face visible. Her eyes widened at the sight of the blue orb surrounding you. "Holy shit what is this?"
You let out a cry of relief at the sight of your best friend, and the shield disappeared. Your legs shook as you moved to crawl over to her.
"No no no y/n stay there I'll come to you." Shuri said bending down to fit into the hole. She made her way over letting you collapse into her lap. The second she was in range catching your body wrapping her arms around you.
"Are you alone?" You asked her eyes glancing back to the entrance. As you wondered if the King T'Challa and the Dora Milaje were waiting on the outside. It would make sense to send Shuri in alone. Your trust for her was unwavering.
"Aye I am the although the others probably aren't that far behind. I got a thirty minute head start on them had to sneak out of the palace. They wouldn't tell me what happened, or why you ran away. I couldn't wait plus you're my best friend. I had to come for you because if it was me. I know you wouldn't hesitate" Shuri explained bringing a hand to brush over the gash on your cheek.
You winced in pain flinching at the touch. "Easy" you warned.
"Sorry" Shuri whispered moving her hand hover over your heart. Maybe you didn't notice but she could tell your condition was worsening. Your heartbeat was steady but your body told a different story with how sweaty it was. Even though your temperature was low because you were cold. She had to get you back to her lab asap. "Okay y/n it's time to get you out of here-" your hand snatched up hers in an iron grip.
"What's going to happen to me if I go back? You asked her. It was obvious your question threw her off as she tilted her head to the side in confusion. But there was no lightness in your voice or a joking tone. You were serious.
"Nothing I'm going to take care of these nasty cuts, and we'll go from there" Shuri insisted.
You gave your head a small shake. "What about this power inside me. I can't control it Shuri and that girl I was training with earlier-" you paused to look away ashamed. "I hurt her and she was in bad shape."
Her hand gripped you by the chin forcing you to turn your head back. So you were looking at her face again. "That was an accident and everyone knows it. I'm not going to let anyone touch you, and they would have to get through my brother first anyway."
You were really too tired to continue to protest, so with a small nod your grip on her hand relaxed. "Besides this is not America we do not lock up our own people and experiment on them. We're going to help you figure this new power out" she quickly added. Her reassurance and presence is all that you really needed to truly relax now, and without warning you passed out.
Shuri let out a frustrated groan knowing she wouldn't be able to carry you out of here. By herself she didn't plan for you passing out before she got you onto the jet.
"Why don't you let me take her little sister" A familiar voice said. It came from the shadows in the entrance. A figure she could barely make out because of the darkness filled the tiny exit. Shuri already knew who it was letting a small grin form on her face.
"About time brother hurry she needs medical attention right away" Shuri ordered. She dragged your limp body over to him trying to be as gentle as possible. T'Challa lifted you into his arms bridal style and moved so his little sister could exit first. She came face to face with Okoye and Ayo waiting a few feet away.
"I'm guessing you don't want your mother to hear of this" Okoye said with a raised eyebrow.
"I would prefer that yes" she replied trying to sound unbothered. But all of them could see right through her. Her mother hated it when she made it a habit to outright disobey or lie to her.
"If mother asks I found her now let's move" T'Challa ordered. A ring of white light shot down from the sky surrounding all of them in a circle. They started to float upward into the jet awaiting them.
I kept running but no matter how much I ran, I got nowhere. No exit no nothing. It was like a maze. I could hear her crazy ass in the distance dragging that 20 inch machete she called Richie.
"Sthandwa.....Ndicela ungandishiyi" She said in that deep husky voice that I used to love
Me and Letitia had been married for 5 years she proposed at this beautiful restaurant. All of my friends were there we met in college.
That was until she started to kill people I loved One By One.
She had this thing were she only wanted me to be with her 24/7 all day everyday.
She was OBSESSED
All this time I thought someone else were killing them and it was her the crazy part about it was she comforted me about it was there she was my shoulder to cry on
I followed her one night in my friends car and made sure I stayed far away so she wouldn't see me she ended up going to an abandoned warehouse she got out of the car and pulled out a machete from her car making sure no one was looking
Seconds later i heard dreadful screams from a woman but not just any woman it was my mother
I got out the car running inside the warehouse but it was too late she was dead.
Now I am here running trying to get away from this crazy bitch
After about a month, I saw on the news of an abandoned warehouse that had been set on fire and burned down to ashes. The location of the warehouse instantly let me know that it must've been Her.
7 months had passed and I had been making new friends. We decided to go to this new club where the owner was a woman. A new change. I knew feminists definitely partied there.
I was having way too many drinks when I heard my friends saying how the owner was hitting on me.
My vision was too blurry for me to see what the owner actually looked like but I followed her after we danced and talked about whatever. All I remember was getting into a car then blacking out.
I had woken up no too long ago in a wedding dress a white dress.
And now here I was, still trying to escape. She still sees us as being engaged and now we're supposed to marry. My god this woman is crazy.
I took a sharp a right turn only to meet a dead end. I was about to turn back when I saw her walking towards me grinning, showing off her pearly whites. Fuck.
She was walking dramatically slow
Her makeup was done with a flower crown on her head. She had on this beautiful white suit that was supposed to be her wedding suit I guess.
She towered over me
"Why'd you leave me and Richie Y/n... I waited for you. I waited so long for you, and yet you never returned for me. Did I do something wrong?" She asked me in a soft voice.
"I'm sorry Tish... I just, had to take a break I guess. But look we're together now." I said trying to sound confident.
I stayed silent. I didn't wanna say the wrong thing in case if it might trigger her or something.
Letitia dropped the machete and started kissing me again. She was shoving her tongue down my throat forcefully.
She slid her hands up my dress but i grabbed her wrist to stop her
She pulled back confused, "What? You don't want to make love to me? Am I not beautiful? Am I not enough?"
"No Tish it's not that. I just, I want to take it slow you know. We did just get back together."
She nodded and we both stood up
"You know where the bathroom is?" I asked patting down my dress a bit.
Letitia chuckled. She started laughing. She was laughing hysterically at this point.
"Y-you think I'm dumb?!" She said in between her laugh. She was full on laughing putting her hand on her chest and all.
"Please don't try the fucking bathroom excuse with me. What? You're gonna ask me where the bathroom is, I tell you, and you try to escape? I'm not a child Y/n. You can't leave. Not now not ever. Matter fact you're dying with me." Tish’s face instantly went cold as if a new persona took over.
As she was leaning down picking up the machete, I pushed her as hard as I could and I began running again.
I just realized that my dumbass didn't even pick up the machete. I was panicking.
Fuck fuck fuck! There's literally no where I can get out.
One more turn and she stood there with a machete.
I tried to run but my dress was pulled back slamming me into the wall.
She tried to stab the machete into me but I ducked down and the machete went through the wall.
Next thing I know she punched my face knocking me down.
She tried to get on top but I kicked her face making her fall down
I got on top of Letitia choking her. I choked her the hardest I could
Her face was slowly puffing up and getting red when I felt a pocket knife being stabbed into my left thigh.
"Fuck!" I yelled out in pain and held my left thigh.
She pushed me off of her coughing trying to regain her breath.
I tried getting up but she knocked me down grabbing out the knife from my thigh as well.
"Shit!" I cried out from the agonizing pain.
Right as she was about to stab me again with the knife, I backhand slapped the fuck out of her making her slam into the wall.
I got up and tried my best to run with me covering up the deep gash from my thigh.
My heart rate got higher. I looked behind to see her charging at me.
I tried running faster but that was obviously no use when I felt another stab to my shoulder.
She rolled me over getting on top about to stab me again when I grabbed her hands.
I used all my strength to turn the knife towards her and with one powerful push, the knife plunged into her collar bone.
I scrambled up and continued to run a bit but I felt Letitia coming from behind me again.
I could feel her getting closer to me
All I felt was her turning me around with full force and pushing me up against the wall.
I saw the machete go through me coming out out my chest.
She had also been stabbed since she had pressed herself against me.
Blood poring out of our mouths not being able to speak
So, I’ve been rewatching Black Panther 1 to work on a fanfic and every time I see W’Kabi I just want to throw hands. This man really abandoned his best friend because a stranger walked in with his enemy’s head. Theeeeen he had the audacity to go against Okoye’s wishes time after time after time. 💀
I’m probably super late to the party on this one- but I ended up digging around on reddit to understand why tf this man was such an awful friend to T’Challa. Like dude was literally king for maybe a week. He almost brought Klaw back to Wakanda. T’Challa only needed a little more time... or even another opportunity to get Klaw. But no. W’Kabi just had to throw a hissy fit, as if his parents were the only ones that died when Klaw infiltrated Wakanda. AS IF KILLMONGER’S DAD ISN’T THE REASON THEY’RE DEAD TO BEGIN WITH. (But that’s none of my business. 🐸☕) AS IF KILLMONGER WASN’T THE ONE THAT BROKE KLAW OUT OF PRISON. (again, that’s none of my business. 🐸☕)
This man was really smiling as his BEST FRIEND got the paint, sonic rings, and mario coins beat off of him and tossed over a waterfall to his supposed death. AND THEN proceeded to eagerly try to kill him so that N’Jadaka could succeed in sending out weapons. Even though Okoye told him not to. Even after T’Challa asked him to stop.
W’Kabi was the main villain of the film. I don’t care. I don’t care.
Anyways, I NEEDED TO KNOW WHYYYY- and a brilliant soul dropped this link on the reddit post of a deleted scene:
This is the link
and after watching it- oooooooooooooooh. The way I wanted to bonk him upside the head. I swear to the moon and back- this is why nobody remembered Okoye was married to his trifling ass. 😭
I’m happy she crossed paths with Attuma. They had more chemistry trying to kill each other anyways. 😭 W’Kabi can keep his ol’ dusty forehead kiss and shove it.
OKOYE DESERVES HER FLOWERS!
p.s. No hate to the actor who plays W’Kabi. He acted up and down this movie with the rest of the cast. Everyone was and is super talented. I wish they hadn’t cut this scene out because it adds so much more to why W’Kabi didn’t even think twice about supporting N’Jadaka. I’m just looking at the characters and their story.
"I am the Queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone. Have I not given everything?"

RIRI’S POV
I stared after her as she glided down the staircase. Shuri’s dress cascaded behind her like a black pool of water. It was made of the finest silks, held by gold rings and an encrusted black panther head with fangs on her chest. The dipped fang dangled in between her breasts against her bare skin. I tried to gulp down the lump in my throat, but my mouth became dry when I focused on the cutouts that exposed her dark skin. Okoye sure knew how to pick a dress. Shuri had tried her best to fight her way out of it, but it was clear that this was the dress. She had exclaimed that the outfit had fit too tight, too provocative, just too much for her. Yet as I watched her approach her subjects, all the nerves she had exhibited earlier were untraceable across Shuri’s posture. Her stride was regal, almost identical to Queen Ramonda. The people of Wakanda silently watched Shuri in awe. They had never seen the Princess in this light. No, not their Princess, their Queen. I was not able to be in attendance during Shuri’s inauguration amongst the Wakanda Council. Not only because I had school, but I wasn’t allowed. The ritual had been private, a sacred ceremony to officiate Shuri’s place on the Wakanda throne. Outsiders were not welcome. However, when Shuri insisted I attend the Public Crowning of the Wakandan Queen, I couldn’t refuse.
I stood off in the distance at the side of the balcony with Agent Ross to obtain the perfect view for the event. Out of sight from curious onlookers but close enough to make out every detail. M’Baku held the crown in his hands as if it was a delicate flower, and tiny beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he walked towards Shuri. He had argued with Okoye for days that placing the crown on Shuri’s head should be him. Shuri told me that he yelled at Okoye and told her “she hadn’t become the general again until a couple of weeks ago.” This struck a chord with the Dora Milaje, leading to both groups almost getting into a physical altercation. Shuri had to break it up in the end. They settled it over a coin toss. I couldn’t hold in my laughter at the audacity of it all when we’d been on the phone. Imagining the mighty M’Baku keeled over a coin in anticipation was enough to elicit a giggle out of her.
“I present to you, Shrui Udaku, the Queen of Wakanda.” As M’Baku gently settled the gold crown atop Shuri’s head as his voice boomed loudly across the silent crowd of Wakandans.

The sea of people began to bow down to one knee, row by row, like a wave. I was in complete awe to see the power that Shuri held. She was now the sole leader of a whole country. I fell to my knees but kept my head raised to see only Shuri left standing and staring at me. A hint of a smile on her lips. She was breathtakingly draped in black and gold. I couldn’t help but feel special amongst all the people in front of her. She chose to steal a glance at me before she bellowed for everyone to rise.
The Dora Milaje raised their spears, and the Jabari tribe beat their chests in triumph, celebrating the new ruler of Wakanda. Shuri placed her arms over her chest as an “X,” yelling, “Wakanda forever,” and it wasn’t until she did so that I saw the tears flow from her eyes. They were leaving a streak down her perfected makeup—a sign of the girl who had nearly lost everything.
Shortly after the public inauguration, I returned to Shuri’s headquarters, where I stayed for the week. Desperate to change out of my heels, I mindlessly flung them on the floor to walk barefoot on the black marbled floors. My feet instantly felt soothed by the contact of the cold tiles. The only sound echoing is the soft padding of the soles of my feet, walking to sit at Shuri’s vanity overlooking the city of Wakanda. Shuri’s room was quiet and sombre. I bet I could hear a pin drop. At times it felt surreal to be in Wakanda, miles away from the loud streets of Chicago and the MIT students' crowds. When I first met Shuri and Okoye, I had been ready to throw anything to keep them from taking me away from the familiarity of my dorms. Although it had been months ago, I could recall the memory like it was yesterday. One would find it difficult to forget. When I first set eyes upon Okoye, she appeared viperous and ready to strike at any moment’s notice. I’m still surprised I was able to gain her respect. Okoye does not offer that to just anyone. Then again, I’m astonished about many things that have occurred these past few months.
The sweltering heat and sun from the ceremony had caused my dress to stick uncomfortably against my skin. I desperately needed to change into an outfit that allowed me to breathe. I fumbled with the zipper behind my neck, and my fingers struggled to pull down the clasp lock that kept the fabrics mended together. I am to be a scientist, and I still couldn’t figure out the intricacies of a simple dress zipper. Midway through my struggle, I heard my phone ping from a text by Shuri. We had unique ringtones for each other.
Meet me in the lab.
I looked at the clock to see not much time had passed since the public inauguration. Shuri should have been on the road for the parade throughout the city. That was the plan; she shouldn’t be in the lab. I made my way to the familiar doors I’d entered countless times to find Shuri sitting on the floor. Her dress puddled around her in a great heap of black silk. Once we made eye contact, Shuri was unrecognizable. The gold crown was still pinned to her head, and Shuri’s makeup remained perfectly painted on her face regardless of the tear stains. It pained me to see the softness in her eyes become cold and void. I’ve wished to keep the tenderness alive within Shuri, but since the murder of her Mother, Queen Ramonda, she hasn’t been the same. Shuri had become quick to irritate and rash. She still refused to tell anyone about the family member she had encountered in the ancestral plane. I knew better than to ask. The question always triggered an argument.
“Shuri, what’s wrong? What are you doing here? You should be with your people.”
“You are my people. That’s why I called you.” Her eyes remained trained on the ground. I’m convinced her glare could bore a hole in the laboratory floor if she wished. I couldn’t find the words to respond, unsure if I should correct her or scold her that she knew what I meant when I first said it. Deciding to remain quiet and listen was a safer option; once Shuri overcame her grief and anger, it was best to stay silent. I lowered myself to the ground to sit patiently in front of Shuri. Finally, Shuri released her lips from the tight line to speak again.
“Bury your dead. Mourn your losses. You are Queen now. Those words have haunted me for days as a prophecy I wished would not come true. I walked down these hallways a million times, feeling like a ghost in a shell. My insides cried for anyone to reach out and extract the pain that held my heart. But, instead, I’ve spent the remaining months making myself digestible for others to the extent that I no longer know what is left of me.
“The tears that have escaped me since that day felt like they would choke the life out of my soul. I would force myself to scream out from the empty cavern of my chest, yet no matter what I do, it’s as if it will never end. I wake up overtaken by a body that no longer knows rest, Riri. I don’t know how to cultivate the strength to be a Queen for Wakanda.” Shuri’s voice remained bleak as she spoke. I noticed the changes that had come over Shuri for quite some time but did not dare to look deeper. It wasn't easy to find the right words to provide comfort.
“To understand the depths of mourning, you must know love. The feeling you are experiencing is your yearning for your Mother with nowhere to go. It’s the final act of love. But she is still a part of you. Although she may not be present in the physical plane, she lives on with your ancestors. Or at least, that’s what Okoye has told me. She was quite brief with answering my questions.”
“Okoye has time to talk to you about Wakanda history?” Shuri asked.
“She doesn’t. I annoy her enough until she spares me some details.” The comment gained a full smile from Shuri. Her body language shifted slightly to face me onward, our knees lightly brushing against each other. I took this as a chance to use the light fabric of her dress to dab at her wet eyes, careful not to smudge her mascara. Thankfully her dress was black, and the action didn’t ruin it.
“That’s the thing about grief. It’s messy, and it gets everywhere,” I whispered.
As I was about to retrieve my hand back to my side, Shuri grabbed it to encase it into her own. Her skin was soft and warm while she traced circles on the back of my hand. She’s held my hand countless times, but the way she grasped it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I didn’t have to look up to know that Shuri was now staring at me.
“I’ve prayed to feel a release, and at times it felt like no one was truly listening. So, Riri, I’m thankful I have you in my life, especially now when I need to bring myself back to Earth.”
“I think this is the first time you’ve admitted that you like me around.” Then, slowly raising my head, I offered Shuri a toothy grin.
“But there’s no need to thank me, that’s what friends are for!”
Shuri’s lips pursed when I said “friend,” as if the word tasted sour on her tongue.
“What? Did I say something wrong?” I felt worried that I may have ruined the moment. It wouldn't have been the first time. Shuri’s mood has been unpredictable, and I could never be sure what I might have said to trigger a reaction.
“No, not at all. It’s just…”
“Just what? Come on; you know that you can tell me anything.” Shuri broke eye contact to watch our intertwined hands, twiddling her fingers as she did so. She often did this when she was nervous or agitated. I wanted her to spit it out, but considering she finally stopped crying, I didn’t want to welcome another onset of tears.
“I don't want to ruin the friendship that we have together. Still, I want to be honest with you and myself. I like you, Riri, more than a friend. I’ve felt this way for a while now. I guess by saying this, I’m wondering if you feel the same way.” Shuri stumbled over her words. They all seemed to come out quickly and jumbled.
I wasn’t oblivious to how close Shuri and I had become. I held her down when she took the heart-shaped herb. I have never been much of a fighter, but I fought for her and would do it again if I had to. She never had to ask because I would always be there without a second thought or doubt. Thinking back, Shuri has done the same. I can’t remember a night without not talking to her on the phone. I never thought about her busy schedule as an upcoming Queen because Shuri made time to pick up my calls. The stolen glances and shy touches were not in vain. Shuri had become a part of my world. Of course, I felt the same way.
Wrapping my arms around Shuri, I brought her close to my heart and said just that. Her body fit perfectly against my own. As I held Shuri close to my chest, Shuri began whispering a song. I didn’t understand the Xhosa language but a deep understanding capsuled in my mind of memories that would never be erased. Almost ancestral to a place that I felt akin to. It offered a tiny bit of abreaction that denied us. I felt her breath on my neck as she sang; it left goosebumps and a fluttering feeling in my stomach. Numerous thoughts clouded my mind. The outstanding one was the desire and fantasy of what it’ll feel like to have Shuri’s lips against my own. However, this was not the time. Not when she had a duty to fulfill. As if the Universe had heard her, Okoye burst through the laboratory doors.
“What is the meaning of this? Queen Shuri, the people of Wakanda await.” Okoye’s eyes were ablaze, and darted between the two of them. I became increasingly aware of how we must’ve looked at that moment. I opened my mouth to say something, yet Shuri beat me.
“I’ll only go if Riri comes with me.”
I attempted to separate myself from Shuri, but she didn’t budge. Okoye looked as if she was at a loss for words. Unsure if she should risk her position to oppose the new Queen. When she didn’t immediately speak it felt like my heart would beat out of my chest. The seconds felt like hours as I watched Okoye’s face slowly morph into a soft expression.
Craving a Black Panther and/or Wakanda Forever fic that isn't necessarily Nashuri or Attoye but a secret third thing that is so secret even I don't know what it is.
They were in the kind of frenzy that they hadn't been in since their teenage years, when it was their first time getting into it.
When they looked back upon it, it was uncannily similar to the first time: when an eighteen-year-old T'Challa bent over the naked silhouette of Nakia, gazing into her eyes with an ocean of words behind his, as their hips moved into each other in a trance-like tandem.
Nakia could remember the high-pitched grunts and low moans that burst through his clenched teeth back then, as he experienced another body for the first time. Her skin had been burning with an invisible fire, her nerves tingling each time his erratic thrusts rubbed against her spot. Her hands had roamed over his chest, then: and had traveled further down still... feeling his back and gripping his hips. Dipping down her own trove to pleasure herself at the same time.
Excitement, apprehension, and arousal had consumed her mind, not unlike what was happening right now.
It was easy for her to visualize T'Challa's buttocks, now free of the wraparound (which lay flung over her chair) flexing and clenching their juicy muscle, as they pistoned his hips into her. He was mindful enough to lift her an inch off the mattress, so that her cuts didn't rub the wrong way.
He led the pace: steady, but gentle. Enough to bump her spots but lacking in the right pressure. Such a tease.
"Ahhh...mm.."
Nakia's soft groans were music to the King's ears, but he could hear the caution she pressed on herself to avoid calling him any of the names that would usually spill from her lips once his dick was inside her. They were still friends, not with anything acknowledgeable between them.
"T'Challa....!"
"Hmm...?" His husky voice rang out from the soft contour of her clavicle as her body moved to his rhythm.
"Ohhh..."
The King emerged, glowing. "What is it?"
Nakia observed the sweaty sheen: as the Black Panther, his stamina was not the cause of perspiring so early into their love-making. It was his passionate heat.
"C'mere," The War Dog groaned as she touched foreheads with him and pulled him into a lustful kiss. Their tongues played with each other and their breath was one for a moment, before T'Challa pulled back.
Nakia knew why he did: even in their desperately detached state, they found ways to touch the other's soul, awakening the wounds that they were trying to cover with their very act.
It almost felt like they were high-schoolers, long before they were pleasantly surprised by T'Chaka heartily accepting Nakia as his son's potential consort. Despite her lack of political placement in her tribe: something that was often looked for in the people married into the Royal family.
It felt like a time when their love was almost forbidden, and not something that would be allowed to continue beyond some nights.
Back then, it was his father's expectations. But now, it was them.
They couldn't get too close, as much as they were each other's mooring: some ropes can pull you in too hard.
So they settled for the more whorish sides to sex.
Needless to say, it was something that T'Challa excelled in.
-
Nakia gasped and dug her nails into his back as she began riding her third orgasm with the King, who hadn't come yet.
His arm still heroically held her away from the sheet, but his hips pounded into her with a vengeance that could almost let her taste the frustration and rage swirling in his mind. But her head was at a point where it couldn't care about anything except the sweet thrill of surfing down the choppy wave he was leading her towards.
"AAAaahhh! Bast! Ndiyacela..." She froze up and quietened for a second as it crashed over her. T'Challa's face was all in hers as he too let out a low moan, holding her softly jerking body against his own. His other arm anchored powerfully into the sheets as he slowly stroked his hips forward to ease the pleasure over her pussy... before returning to his grind.
slap!slap!slap!slap!slap!-
The War Dog sighed in satiation, in contrast to the hungry beast her friend had become while chasing his own tide. In her calmer state, she could see T'Challa's fleshy buttocks jiggling with the harmonic force he applied down front: and her contracting walls was what finally got him to the edge-
His entire, sinewy frame stiffened and quivered. Nakia couldn't feel the gushing release thanks to the condom he had slipped on out of diplomacy, but since it didn't matter between two tied and tested hoes:
"Yintoni...?" He whispered in half rapture and confusion as she lightly pushed him away, straightening up in the sheets.
She didn't answer, instead, taking his pulsing member in her hand and slipping the sheath off. T'Challa obliged her, gasping as she pumped him through his continuing orgasm. The white pearls stood out against her earthy complexion, as more spilled onto her thighs, neck and chin. The King was speechless, only bringing his dick closer over her face to watch the drops splatter on it as he gazed deep into her eyes.
Nakia's mischievous hands had now travelled behind him, massaging the alluring masses that were his cheeks, and spanking them as he spent his final bursts. He groaned in reply, smirking a little after a long while of furrowing his brow with his every emotion. His head rolled back as his breathing slowed down; the lady still held the softening length in her hand, admiring the bulbous pink head that she didn't get to see often these days...
Or would she?
~
The next day, Nakia woke up to an (annoyingly) tidied up dresser and an empty space in the bed, beside her. The dried semen stains on the sheets along with the throbbing in her hips was yet another sign that her ex had definitely been in there.
She sighed, resetting and getting ready for her last day home for some months.
5:00 AM was when T'Challa would usually hit the gym, and that was where she found her feet leading her. She didn't want to see him again, since he probably needed some space, but before she could turn back, she found herself right before him.
Seeing him sweaty and minimally clothed didn't really go with her plan of staying in focus, and he seemed to understand, by how he merely nodded respectfully in her direction like she was some elder councilor.
She felt like giggling all of a sudden, as she watched him trying to avoid taking in the new, maroon, backless jumpsuit she was wearing that day.
He snapped his head back from where it had turned ever so slightly, but it was enough for Okoye, who stood by the gym's entrance, to know what exactly had happened last night.
They grinned at each other as they came closer. Okoye lifted an eyebrow.
"What are you up to now?" She greeted dryly.
"On my way to go through some missions..."
"Mhm? Sure you don't want to, uh... rest your back?" The General indicated her own back, feigning innocent concern to tease her friend.
"My back can take it, generalll..."
"It's just our ears that can't, Nakiaa..."
"Sounds like you have to sort it out with himmm, Okoyeeee"
"Mmh." She rolled her eyes. "I think you need to stay back. It would be of some help."
"And why is that?"
Okoye beckoned her forward and glanced around for any passers by. "That mercenary who we captured... didn't the King tell you anything about him?"
Nakia frowned, "No... is it of much concern?"
The Dora chewed her lip slightly. "I would be very concerned. Things just ... got a little more complicated."
Erik, who was staring at Queen Mother with angry tears streaming down his cheeks, fell silent. "No. I don't believe this." She said, hands covering her mouth as she stared at Erik. She sobbed quietly, holding back tears.
"YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS!" He snapped at Lua and Elara. "YOU KNEW HE KILLED MY FUCKING POPS?!?" He yelled at them. Elara approached Erik slowly and attempted to hug him, but he stepped back. "Erik, Mi, luv, I promise you, I-we didn't know." She said, looking at him with hurt and betrayal in his eyes. "Yuh kno Stella kept sum things secret about you, but eff shi neva tell you it was probably to protect you, shi wud neva do nothing to hurt you." She said it slowly. And cupped his cheeks.
Erik spent his whole life wondering what happened to his dad, and to just now find out the people he called family, his own uncle killed his father. And didn't want him to come to Wakanda.
He was grateful to Elara and her mother, Stella, but he felt anger towards the Udaku family. The family he grew up with, the family that came to all his birthdays, the times he came to Wakanda to spend time with them, and they would come to Jamaica to spend time with him and the Adamu family. T'chaka treated him differently and didn't want him around; now he sees why. But Ramonda, T'challa, and Shuri never treated him like that. They always made sure he felt welcomed. Ramonda could never wrap her head around why T'chaka hated Erik so much.
The woman behind Erik tried to comfort him, but he pushed her away and began walking out of Shuri's lab. It was still silent after Erik left, but you could feel the overwhelming sadness circling everyone. "I'll go get him." Yarri said. pushing past her mother, running after Erik.
Queen Mother continued to choke on sobs, looking at the woman that was behind Erik, and slowly walked towards her. "I'm so sorry. I promise, I didn't know." She said this, looking at the woman. But she just stared at Ramonda with tear-stained cheeks and hurt eyes. Ramonda hugged the woman as she shook with anger for Erik. "Please forgive us. Please forgive me." Ramonda whispered, hugging the woman tightly.
and for the life of me I still don't get how HOW it didn’t even get nominated I am not saying it should have won (yes it should have duh) but at least a nomination-

A/N: And now we’ve arrived at the second half of the Battle of Earth! As many of you long-time readers know, I do my very best not to deviate from the films in this series and when I do change something, I have a justifiable reason for the change; that being said, there’s a small section of the battle that I’ve rewritten to better suit the story I’ve crafted thus far, and I thought I’d mention it here before you start reading so it doesn’t come as too much of a shock. Thank you for reading, I hope you all enjoy!
Chapter Nine (Part II)
(Previous Chapter)
Although they’d successfully taken Thanos by surprise with the remarkable size and unprecedented ferocity of their forces, it seemed as though their slim advantage was beginning to wane; the Black Order had rallied their troops and regained control of the battlefield, summoning wave after wave of Chitauri, Sakaarians and Outriders from the Sanctuary II. The bodies of dead Asgardians, Wakandans, Ravagers and sorcerers lay strewn atop the smoking rubble and crumbling ruins populating the massive crater and the many still standing were struggling against the enemy’s onslaught. The grim sights surrounding (Y/N) only encouraged her on as she fought her way to Clint; she barely paid any attention to her attackers, efficiently disarming and defeating them with well-placed baton hits and piercing Widow Bites before continuing on.
When (Y/N) finally spotted Clint fighting only a handful of yards away and noticed the garrison of fighters heading his way, she urged herself to speed up and shouted into her comm, “Hey Sam, I could really use some help from Redwing right about now!”
An explosion forced Clint into a somersault and after expertly rolling onto his knees, he fired a stun disc at his Sakaarian opponent but quickly found himself surrounded by Chitauri soldiers and roaring Gorillas. Before they could swarm him, (Y/N) jumped down from a pile of crumbled concrete and attacked; she dodged and parried their blades and avoided their blaster fire as she slammed and jabbed her electrified batons into the unarmored sections of the aliens’ bodies, and just as both Chitauri Gorillas charged at her, Redwing swooped down from above and took them down with two projectile missiles to their throats.
(Y/N) flashed the stealth drone a small smile. “Thanks, Birdbrain.”
“Don’t thank me, Booksmart, thank Redwing!”
She rolled her eyes at her best friend’s exclamation but relented. “…Thanks, Redwing.” Noting the shortness of Clint’s breath and the way he clutched the stitch in his side as he approached her, she sheathed her batons and held her empty hands out. “Give the gauntlet to me, Clint. I’ll make sure that it gets to Scott and Hope.”
Clint’s eyes flicked down to the red hourglass-shaped buckle affixed to her belt before meeting her gaze with a firm tenacity reminiscent of their mutual best friend. “Give ‘em hell, (Y/L/N).”
The archer handed over the sizable gauntlet and (Y/N) held it close to her chest as she sprinted through the horde; she ducked to avoid blaster fire and twirled away from swinging blades, firing Widow Bites at anyone who dared to try attacking her as she worked on getting the stones to the Quantum Tunnel across the vast battlefield. She only made it about fifty yards when a blurry figure plowed into her and knocked her onto the hard ground, only a heartbeat before a large double-bladed sword sliced through the air where she’d just been standing.
“Are you all right?” T’Challa asked as he tugged her to her feet, but her reply died in her throat the moment she looked across the clearing and saw the double-bladed sword return to Thanos’ hand.
The Mad Titan’s face was illuminated by a bloodthirsty smile and his gaze was transfixed on the gauntlet lying several feet from where they stood; he charged forward but was halted by the sudden appearance of Wanda Maximoff, who dropped down from above and landed in the space between them in a blinding burst of scarlet-hued energy. Her hands were still glowing and her body was tense with barely-contained rage as she snarled, “You took everything from me.”
“I don’t even know who you are,” Thanos scoffed.
“You will.”
(Y/N) could hear the cold smile in Wanda’s voice and as she watched the younger woman levitate herself and two massive piles of wreckage into the air, she couldn’t help but wish that she’d make her revenge on Thanos just as painful as how it felt to destroy Vision for nothing. As Wanda and Thanos viciously battled one another, T’Challa hurriedly pulled (Y/N) along to where the gauntlet lay and scooped it up into his vibranium-clawed hands. “I’ll keep going, (Y/N)!”
T’Challa vanished into the ongoing fight with the gauntlet tucked under his arm while (Y/N) unsheathed her batons and ran over to assist the only human member of the Guardians of the Galaxy; he was pinned down by a small squadron of Chitauri and unable to return blaster fire as he crouched behind a wrecked S.H.I.E.L.D. Jeep to avoid being shot. (Y/N) attacked from behind, kicking the blaster out of one alien’s grasp and electrocuting it with her baton while taking down another with a Widow Bite to the neck. While she distracted the Chitauri attackers, the Guardian was able to fly over the Jeep using his rocket-boots and shoot down the rest of them for her.
“Hey, thanks for the help, She-Ra,” He huffed out in exhaustion and gave her a sort of salute with his blaster. “The name’s Peter Quill, by the way. You’re not…are you that bad-ass writer chick Thor was talking about when we rescued him from that shipwreck?”
“Mm-hmm, I’m (Y/N) (Y/L/N). It’s good to finally meet you; Rocket’s already told me a lot about you, actually.” Quill’s brow shot up in surprise at that, so she decided to elaborate. “He mostly talked a lot of shit, to be honest, but it wasn’t hard to see how much he missed you and the rest of the Guardians.”
While Quill absorbed her words, a crackling bolt of lightning illuminated the sky and struck one of the remaining hover tanks a hundred yards away, dissipating as Steve appeared and slammed the broken shield against its cannon. “Wait, is that seriously the Captain America?” He eagerly asked, watching the super-soldier single-handedly dismantle the hover tank with wide, almost childlike eyes. “You know, the ass-kicking super-soldier who took down Nazis in World War II? The-Star-Spangled-Man-With-A-Plan? That Captain America?”
“Yep, but I just usually call him my husband.” (Y/N) chuckled in amusement at the stunned expression written across Quill’s features. “You’ve seen Return of the Jedi, right?” He nodded mutely. “Well, Steve was frozen in 1945, sort of like Han Solo in the carbonite, only it was entirely accidental and he wasn’t discovered until 2012.”
Quill shook his head and sighed. “Man, you leave Earth for a couple of decades and look at all the cool shit that happens…”
Before she could reply, the battlefield around them began erupting with explosions and filled with the sounds of cannon fire as bright blaster beams shot down from the Sanctuary II above. Allies and enemies alike were blown back by the powerful force of the steady barrage and although sorcerers created wide orange protection shields overhead, there weren’t nearly enough of them to cover the entire battlefield and all their forces. Across the crater, the earth was crumbling away and water from the lake was beginning to flow down onto the battlefield, but Doctor Strange quickly used his magic to funnel the water into the air and held it back. Quill ignited his rocket boots and flew off to assist a nearby Dora Milaje battling a Sakaarian fighter and (Y/N) hurried towards the area where she’d last seen Steve, keeping a careful eye on the cannons firing down as she ran.
“(Y/N)!” Steve exclaimed, and his dirt and sweat-covered face filled with worry when his eyes scanned her appearance. “Shit, you’re bleeding, baby, are you okay?!”
She fastened her batons together into a staff and cautiously touched the oozing cut running along her collar, wincing a little at the sting but giving her concerned husband a small smile. “I-I’m fine, sweetheart-”
“Help! Somebody, help!”
They both looked over across the clearing to see Peter Parker struggling against a growing swarm of Outriders and gripping the gauntlet tight as he fought them off. “Hey, Queens!” Steve called out into his comm. “Heads up!” The super-soldier threw Mjolnir as hard as he could, and they breathed sighs of relief when the teenager shot a web and allowed the hammer to pull him out of danger. “We need to find a way to take out those cannons or else we won’t last much longer.”
(Y/N) slammed her staff into an attacking Chitauri soldier while Steve kicked a Sakaarian across the clearing. “Maybe if Tony, Pepper and Rhodes fly up and use their lasers to burn through the hull?”
“No can-do, Austen, even the three of us combined don’t have the power to get through that steel.”
“Well, what if we hijack one of those Chitauri cruisers and-?”
“Watch out!” Steve shouted and tackled (Y/N) to the ground just as the earth around them exploded under a powerful cannon blast; his muscular body covered hers and his arms cocooned her head, protecting her from the onslaught of dirt, rubble and debris raining onto them. While more and more cannons fired down onto the battlefield below, (Y/N)’s eyes squeezed shut and she buried her face in Steve’s neck, unable to think of a way to stop the unending barrage raining down on them.
All of a sudden, the cannon fire ceased and an unsettling silence descended over the battlefield. (Y/N) pulled away far enough to frantically search her husband’s gaze for any signs of injury and when she found none, her brow furrowed in confusion. “Why’d they stop firing?”
“I have no idea.” An equally-baffled Steve shrugged and helped her stand on shaky legs, and their questions only compounded when they saw the Sanctuary II swivel its cannons up and begin firing on something hidden within the dark clouds of smoke high above.
“What the hell is this?” Sam asked into the comms as he took to the skies nearby.
(Y/N) and Steve both watched in awe as a blinding light of thundering energy broke through the clouds and, entirely unaffected by the heavy barrage of cannon fire, flew straight through the Sanctuary II; Thanos’ enormous flagship imploded as the comet traveled a devastating path out the opposite end, the light briefly dimming to reveal Carol Danvers before she burst through the hull and out the top in a fiery blaze of cosmic energy. Grinning, (Y/N) watched the decimated Sanctuary II fall from the sky and crash into the lake, sending a powerful shockwave rippling across the entire crater. “She really knows how to make an entrance, doesn’t she?”
Steve lowered his broken shield and smiled. “Our cosmic friends seem to all share that trait.” He brought a hand up to his comm link. “Danvers, we need an assist here.”
“Sure, Cap, whatcha need?”
“We need to get the stones to the Quantum Tunnel across the crater and send them back to their original timelines before Thanos can rally his troops,” (Y/N) replied, squinting as she tried to make out where Peter was through all the piles of earth and debris littering the battlefield. “The tunnel’s inside of a brown van, and a teenager named Peter Parker has the gauntlet with him.”
“Ah, I see the kid. He’s at your eleven o’clock, about half a click away.”
The super-soldier nodded. “We’ll meet you there.” He squared his broad shoulders and turned to (Y/N) standing beside him. “You ready for this?”
She ignored the twinging cut along her collar, the dull ache settling into her arms and the blood dripping down the side of her face from a fresh scrape as she flashed him a confident grin. “I can do this all day.”
Steve smirked in amusement and together, the two of them ran through the battlefield to where Peter and the gauntlet were, the knowledge that they were one step closer to thwarting Thanos’ plans renewing their optimism and reigniting their burning defiance. They reached the rocky crevice that the teenager was hiding in just after a faintly-glowing Carol landed before him; he jerked in surprise but mustered up a nervous smile for the captain as he continued to clutch the tarnished Infinity Gauntlet in his arms. “Hi, I-I’m Peter Parker.”
“Hey, Peter Parker,” Carol’s lips curved into a smirk and she nodded down at the gauntlet. “You got something for me?”
“Y-Yeah.” Peter grabbed (Y/N)’s outstretched hand and allowed her to help him stand. Although the teenager was covered in bruises, sporting a bloody nose and looked visibly exhausted from the fierce battle, he stood on his own two feet as he handed the gauntlet over to Carol. “I don’t know how you’re gonna get it through all that.”
The four of them turned and stared out at the stampeding horde in the distance. The Children of Thanos lead the charge, followed by Chitauri ground troops and four bellowing Gorillas, Sakaarian soldiers and several packs of Outriders; in the clouded sky above them, three Leviathans slithered through the air alongside Chitauri-manned cruisers and half a dozen hover tanks were scattered in amongst the throng. It would’ve made for an intimidating sight if not for the small but formidable band of fighters that were assembling alongside them; Tony, Wanda and Sam gracefully descended from the sky while Thor appeared surrounded by tendrils of lightning as a clap of thunder shook the ground, Okoye twirled her spear in anticipation and Nebula – the real Nebula, not the 2014 version who infiltrated them and hijacked their Quantum Tunnel on Thanos’ behest – tightened her grip on her blaster’s hilt, and both Clint and Bruce wore matching looks of obstinacy on their faces as they stood beside the couple.
Looking around the group and realizing in a shocking instant that each of them had deep personal ties to Natasha Romanoff, (Y/N) exchanged a knowing glance with Steve and watched as he turned his attention back to Peter. “Don’t worry, kid. She’s got help.”
(Y/N) twirled her batons and fixed the approaching army with a vengeful stare. “This one’s for you, Nat.”
Thor’s booming battle cry accompanied their charge, each of them launching themselves into the fray to avenge Natasha and to end, once and for all, Thanos’ plans to destroy the entire universe. Tony, Thor and Sam took to the skies and each took on a Leviathan; the Asgardian called down a bolt of lightning to electrify the creature and sliced its head off, Sam fired missiles and his guns at another until it fell from the sky, and Tony flew straight into its mouth and blew it up from the inside. Wanda threw two swirling balls of scarlet energy at a hover tank, instantly exploding it and the blast decimated a sizable number of nearby Sakaarians. Okoye rammed her vibranium spear into Corvus Glaive’s chest and flipped him over her shoulder before throwing the spear at a cruiser speeding overhead. Nebula took out enemy after enemy with her precise blaster shots and brutal hand-to-hand combat skills. Bruce and Clint worked together to take down a Chitauri Gorilla, the scientist’s good fist and the archer’s razor-sharp katana making for a deadly combination. (Y/N) and Steve fought side-by-side – her electrified batons and Widow Bites and his hammer and broken shield working beautifully together – taking down Proxima Midnight with expert ease and fighting through a swarm of Chitauri soldiers.
While they battled the enemy, Carol flew through their hastily-formed blockade and the resulting explosion, flying faster and tightening her hold on the gauntlet once the van came into view. Thanos charged at the captain with his double-bladed sword raised high but Tony, Thor and Steve were faster; their repulsors and lightning blasted the Mad Titan down and away from Carol as she shot past him. Before any of them could react, Thanos rolled to his feet and threw his sword straight at the activated Quantum Tunnel, which was instantly decimated in a blinding explosion; the shockwave blew allies and enemies alike down to the ground and rolled across the entire battlefield.
(Y/N) was knocked off her feet and thrown into a pile of debris, the side of her head instantly erupting in pain and her vision blurring. Wincing, she brought a hand up to her temple and gently prodded the tender flesh, swallowing thickly when she lowered her hand and saw the blood coating her fingers; she blinked hard to try and clear her vision as darkened figures rushed by, but it wasn’t until she rolled over onto her knees that her eyes could finally begin to focus. Thor and Steve were both struggling against an enraged Thanos, with the Asgardian using Mjolnir and all his strength to force Stormbreaker’s cackling blade closer to the Mad Titan’s neck and Steve latching onto his back and pulling on the battle axe to aid Thor, but Thanos’ strength proved to be impossible for them to overcome; he sucker-punched Thor in the stomach and head-butted him away before flipping Steve over his shoulder and slammed his fist into his face.
The overwhelming horror of seeing her bloody and bruised husband lying motionless at Thanos’ feet was compounded the moment she realized that the tarnished gauntlet was less than a yard away from him. She staggered for her feet and after hastily scanning the ground for her batons, she reached down and withdrew one of Loki’s daggers from her boot before charging towards him; Bruce appeared and attempted to hold Thanos back, but he grabbed the scientist by his wounded arm and flung him into a pile of crumbling concrete, and then (Y/N) and Clint reached him at the same time. The archer swung his katana and managed to slice a sizable cut across Thanos’ exposed bicep while (Y/N) slid past them and reached for the gauntlet.
Just as (Y/N)’s fingers grazed the tarnished gauntlet, a large hand wrapped around her arm and hurled her aside; she slammed into the rocky ground and rolled several times before finally stopping several feet away from an unconscious Clint. A stinging pain erupted across her stomach when she first tried to move, making her grit her teeth and hold back an agonized groan as she flipped herself onto her side; the dagger she’d been gripping in her hand clattered onto the ground, its blade splattered with her own dark red blood, and she pressed a hand against the gash to stem the bleeding. Through the haze of pain, she looked across the clearing and watched Thanos and Carol grappling over the gauntlet, which the Mad Titan had already managed to put on. Despite the captain clearly having the upper-hand in the fight, all it took was Thanos snatching the purple Power Stone from the gauntlet and punching her across the battlefield for him to win and stand unopposed with his prize.
“No…” (Y/N)’s breathing was erratic and she attempted to push herself off the ground a second time as Thanos placed the Power Stone into its setting and bellowed, the cosmic energy of the six Infinity Stones coursing through his body; her vision blurred around the edges and she cried out when the movement tugged at her sizable wound, so all she could do was watch in horror as Thanos prepared to snap his fingers.
Out of nowhere, Tony rushed towards a distracted Thanos and grabbed hold of the glowing gauntlet, but his final act of desperation was foiled by Thanos kneeing him in the abdomen and backhanding him across the clearing. The billionaire lay sprawled on the ground and after adjusting the gauntlet on his hand, Thanos smiled coldly at him, unabashedly rejoicing in his imminent victory and their devastating loss. “I am…inevitable.”
Thanos’ fingers seemed to move in slow motion as (Y/N)’s eyes found Steve’s all the way across the clearing. Her husband was still disoriented from his failed attempt to kill Thanos, but the fear in his usually steadfast gaze told her that he understood exactly what was about to happen and that there was nothing any of them could do to stop it. I love you, Steve mouthed to her and (Y/N) gave her beloved super-soldier a teary smile before mouthing back, I love you, too.
The tell-tale metallic clink of the gauntlet’s two fingers connecting made (Y/N)’s heart jolt in her chest but after a long moment, her brow furrowed in confusion; there was an undoubtable snap, but nothing had happened. She followed Steve’s sudden awestruck gaze to see Tony kneeling across from Thanos, and her jaw dropped as nano-particles shifted the six Infinity Stones into place on his suit’s red and gold hand. The cosmic energy of the stones flowed throughout Tony’s body and left burning trails in its wake, putting immeasurable strain on him and shortening his breath, and while a shocked Thanos looked on, the billionaire smirked through his labored breaths and fearlessly addressed the Mad Titan. “And I…am…Iron Man.”
Tony snapped his fingers, and the world was engulfed in the brightest of light.
When the light faded away, (Y/N) watched in awe as Thanos’ formidable army began turning to ash all around her, just as her daughter and friends had five years earlier; Chitauri soldiers, Sakaarian troops and packs of Outriders all disintegrated into nothing while Leviathans, Gorillas and every single enemy transport crumbled away atom by atom and were scattered to the wind. We did it, she thought with a breathless laugh, we actually won.
“(Y/N)!” She turned her head to see Steve hurrying across the clearing, a panicked expression written across his features as he dropped to his knees beside her and firmly pressed a large hand against the oozing cut across her stomach. “It’s not deep, thank God, a tight bandage’ll stem the bleeding until we can get you to a medic. You’re gonna be all right, sunshine.” Her husband attempted to flash her a teasing smile, but the worry he still felt prevented his smile from reaching his eyes. “I thought I told you to stay safe.”
“In my defense, I didn’t plan on being chucked into the air like a baseball and landing on my own damn dagger,” (Y/N) chuckled but hissed in pain when Steve’s hand shifted over her wound. “Did we do it, sweetheart? Did we really win?”
Steve nodded. “We really won, sunshine. We’re gonna be with Carina again in no time.” The hand not applying pressure to her wound cupped her cheek and his thumb swiped a stray tear away before he pressed a soft, triumphant kiss onto her lips.
After Sam appeared and both men worked to secure a long strip of gauze around her waist, they helped her stand on unsteady legs and she took the opportunity to study their surroundings. Wounded Wakandans, Asgardians, Ravagers and sorcerers staggered to help one another stand and watched with obvious relief as Thanos’ army – including their dead and their wrecked equipment – all reduced to ash and slowly dissolved away, and faint rays of sunlight started to break through the smoke-filled sky above. Peter Quill hugged an elated Groot and then Rocket, who pretended to be annoyed but couldn’t quite hide the smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, before pulling Nebula and the remaining Guardians into a group hug. T’Challa and Shuri embraced while Okoye fussed over a scratch on the princess’ bicep. Bucky helped Wanda to her feet and the pair immediately went to help Brunnhilde, Korg and Miek extract the Valkyrie’s whinnying but unharmed horse from beneath several sizable pieces of debris. Scott and Hope held each other tight as they kissed beside the smoldering remains of their Quantum Tunnel. Wong clapped Stephen on the back and helped his fellow Master of the Mystic Arts create a temporary dam using large chunks of concrete from the destroyed Avengers Facility. Everywhere she looked, (Y/N) saw her friends and allies coming together to celebrate their unbelievable triumph over Thanos and his universe-ending plan but just as Steve’s lips pressed a kiss onto her brow, a sharp gasp tore from her throat and her jaw dropped in outrage.
“Oh, son of a bitch!”
Both Steve and Sam’s heads snapped over to her and their hands hovered over her numerous wounds as their panicked eyes searched hers. “What is it, (Y/N), what’s wrong?!”
“Is the pain getting worse, Booksmart? Screw it, I’m gonna go find that smart-ass wizard-doctor guy and see if he can’t patch you up-”
“I’m fine, guys, but my baby isn’t!” Both men exchanged a perplexed glance and she rolled her eyes before pointing across the crater. “My baby’s wrecked!” Amongst a mound of twisted metal and crumbling rock lay the smoldering remains of (Y/N)’s yellow 1976 Volkswagen Bug, the car she’d owned and cherished for over fourteen years. As sad as the sight of its mangled and scorched frame made her feel, she couldn’t help but correlate its wrecked state with the state of the world post-Snap; bringing back millions of living creatures in the blink of an eye would undoubtedly throw the already unstable Earth into chaos but while it wouldn’t be easy, they’ll all find a way to rebuild so that they’re stronger than they ever were. “Oh, well…nothing lasts forever, does it?”
Instead of answering, Steve gently nudged her arm and nodded towards the opposite end of the clearing; Thanos looked on as his troops disappeared and the Black Order dissolved into nothing with an expression of numb acceptance on his face. His eyes flicked over to them and they stared back, a surge of satisfaction filling (Y/N) as she watched the Man Titan seat himself on block of concrete and lean heavily over his knees. Thanos slowly began to turn into ash and once his entire army was gone, he too was erased from existence.
The sound of metal collapsing caused the both of them to turn and (Y/N)’s heart dropped when her eyes landed on Tony. The billionaire was slumped against a pile of wreckage, his Iron Man armor broken and scorched while the right side of his body – where the brunt of the Infinity Stones’ energy had resided during his Snap – was entirely covered in blackened burns. She was aware of Steve’s arm tightening around her waist as he helped her cross the clearing to him and she could see Clint, Bruce and Thor beginning to gather in her peripheral vision, but all of her focus was on her dying friend; his labored breaths were the only sounds to fill the clearing, until the familiar thwip of a web reverberated through the space and Peter Parker swung down.
“Mr. Stark! Hey, Mr. Stark?” The teary-eyed teenager brushed past a somber Rhodes to kneel before Tony and his voice shook as he continued. “Can you hear me? I-It’s Peter. Hey, we won, Mr. Stark. We won. You did it, sir, you did it…” All Tony could do was stare unseeingly at Peter as he finally broke down into heaving sobs. “I’m sorry…Tony, I-I’m…”
The crowd surrounding Tony parted to allow Pepper through and with gentle hands, the older woman guided Peter to his feet and into (Y/N)’s open arms. Their eyes briefly met and an understanding passed between both women; having a romantic relationship with an Avenger wasn’t easy by any means, but the hardest part was living with the constant fear that someday, they’ll be a fight that they won’t return home from. Pepper Potts’ worst nightmare was unfolding right in front of them, and all (Y/N) could do was convey her deep empathy and condolences through a single, silent look. However, the look they shared seemed to give Pepper the strength to turn and kneel in front of her dying husband, and (Y/N) blinked away tears as she comforted the teenager sobbing into her shoulder.
Pepper rested a hand against his suit’s arc reactor and gave him a tearful smile. “Hey.”
“Hey, Pep…” Tony murmured back, the corner of his mouth barely twitching upwards as he rested his left hand on top of hers.
“F.R.I.D.A.Y.?”
“Life functions critical.”
Rhodes and Bruce bowed their heads in grief while silent tears rolled down Clint and Thor’s faces, and Steve’s shoulders shuddered with suppressed sobs as his hand squeezed (Y/N)’s tight. Tony’s eyes watered as he glanced away from Pepper, but she pursed her lips and shook her head. “Tony. Look at me.” His dark eyes flicked over to meet hers and she gave him a trembling but sincere smile. “We’re gonna be okay. You can rest now.”
The regretful look on Tony’s burned and bloody face seemed to melt away at Pepper’s words and for one brief moment, his expression was overcome with a peaceful calm. The moment quickly passed and as Tony took his final breath, his hand slipped away from his wife’s and his suit’s arc reactor flickered off for the last time. Pepper finally gave into her tears, bowing her head and crying while the rest of them mourned their fallen friend. Tony Stark, one of Earth’s best defenders and a selfless hero right to the very end, was gone, and as (Y/N) struggled to come to terms with the tragic loss of another friend, the sunbeams beginning to break through the thick clouds of smoke dimmed.

Nakia's pregnant with T'Challa's daughter. What will these two do with the new princess?
Chapter 1: Too Soon
This can't be happening…
Nakia looked down at her stomach and into the toilet. It's too soon.
She sat on the floor, distraught and anxious. She dreamed of this day before, but it was soon. Too soon.
She didn't know who to go to, in fear of the news getting out. But chose to go to the scientific princess.
Nakia walked in, dizzy from her morning sickness and saw Shuri working on some shoes. She looked around for her lover before making her way over to his sister.
"Shuri…I need help.", she whispered.
"What is it now? Did you break something?", the princess asked, not looking at her.
'Not yet….', Nakia thought.
"No. I just….I'm scared.", Nakia said instead.
Shuri finally turned around, taking in her friend's sickly state. "Whoa, what happened to you?", she asked.
"That's what I wanna know.", Nakia said, sitting in a chair.
She stared at the woman for a while. "You're pregnant, aren't you?", she asked.
Nakia's eyes widened as she hushed her. "Not so loud!", she whispered-yelled.
Shuri gasped. "So you are.", she said.
"I guess so. I didn't pay any mind to it until now.", Nakia said, looking down disappointed in herself. Shuri was the complete opposite. "I'm gonna be an auntie.", she said smiling.
In a way, Nakia felt relieved that Shuri wasn't upset. "Will you please check…?", she asked, unsure.
Shuri prepared her nanos as a bed and had Nakia lay on them.
"This might tickle.", she said.
"I'm not worried about tickles.", Nakia said, looking at her stomach.
Shuri hooked up an IV on Nakia, made her do some urine tests and waited.
"Yup. You came to me right on time.", she said, finally getting the results.
Nakia frowned. It's not like she didn't want to have the baby. She would've been ecstatic if they had talked about it. However…
He's going to be King soon….
"If you're worried about T'Challa, there's nothing to be worried about. Geez, you two always act like I don't have time on my hands. I'm here to help both of you.", Shuri said, reassuring Nakia.
Nakia smiled sadly. "Thank you.
"Shuri, do you have my device ready??", a familiar voice boomed in a short distance, making Nakia's eyes widen.
"Oh no…I don't want him to find out now. Put it away! Put it away!", she whispered, hearing his footsteps.
Shuri hurried with everything and got out his device she had been working on.
"It's here, brother. Ready to go.", she said, once T'challa came in. The older brother smiled and took it from her. "Thank you.", he said and turned to his lover, unaware of her nervousness. "Good morning, my love.", he said, coming over to Nakia and kissed her on her forehead before he left.
The women sighed in relief. "That was close.", Nakia said.
"Too close.", Shuri agreed. "So how long are you planning on keeping it from him….?", she asked.
"For as long as I can. I don't want to stress him out as much as he is now.", Nakia said.
"So how long do you think you'll be able to hide such a thing? You're going to swell a couple of months.", Shuri informed.
Nakia knew that. Though, she had a place to hide whenever her stomach would grow. She informed Shuri of such a place and decided that's where she'll stay.
She only hoped that T'Challa wouldn't miss her so much until it was time.
Months passed and it was finally time for Nakia to birth her child. It was a baby girl and instantly she knew the familiar genetic features of her lover.
"She's beautiful.", Shuri whispered, laying the infant child in Nakia's arms. Nakia cried, both out of happiness and despair. She had to cut all ties off from the Dora Milaje and could only give little information to the queen in fear of T'challa ever finding out.
Nakia decided it was too much. She couldn't let T'Challa know. Nakia let the women of a nearby village watch over her daughter before making herself known to her lover who welcomed her back, confused, worried and relieved that she was okay.
14 years had passed and T'Challa had yet to find out. By then, it was too late to go back. Nakia realized it would only make things worse if he had found out this late.
Instead T'Challa was with his father inside Vienna.
He huffed, tugging at his collar around his neck and looked at his father. "It's chafing.", he complained, making his father smile in amusement.
"Bear with it for now. We'll be gone soon.", he said.
The prince huffed and looked out the window.
"At a special United Nations conference 117 countries have come together to ratify the Sokovia Accords.", he heard and glanced at a red haired woman.
"Excuse me, Miss Romanoff?", a woman walks up to a red haired woman. "Yes?", she responds.
"These need your signature.", she said.
T'Challa watched as she signed a form and let the woman leave, finally recognizing her.
"I suppose neither of us is used to the spotlight.", T'Challa spoke up.
She turns to him. "Oh, well, it's not always so flattering.", she says.
"You seem to be doing alright so far. Considering your last trip to Capitol Hill… I wouldn't think you would be particularly comfortable in this company.", he says.
"Well, I'm not.", she says with a frown.
"That alone makes me glad you're here, Miss Romanoff.", T'Challa says genuinely.
"Why? You don't approve of all this?", she asks.
"The Accords, yes. The politics, not really. Two people in a room can get more done than a hundred.", he said.
"Unless you need to move a piano.", king T'Chaka says, walking up to them.
"Father.", the prince greets.
"Son. Miss Romanoff.", The king nodded to them.
"King T'Chaka. Please, allow me to apologize for what happened in Nigeria.", she apologizes, bowing.
"Thank you. Thank you for agreeing to all this. I'm sad to hear that Captain Rogers will not be joining us today.", he says.
"Yes, so am I.", she says and T'Challa smiles.
"If everyone could please be seated. This assembly is now in session.", they hear on the PA.
"That is the future calling. Such a pleasure.", T'Challa said, bowing to her.
"Thank you.", she says and leaves.
"For a man who disapproves of diplomacy, you're getting quite good at it.", his father says.
"I'm happy, baba.", he said, smiling.
The men give their affection before the king walks up to the podium for his speech.
"When stolen Wakandan vibranium was used to make a terrible weapon, we in Wakanda were forced to question our legacy. Those men and women killed in Nigeria, were part of a goodwill mission from a country too long in the shadows. We will not, however, let misfortune drive us back. We will fight to improve the world we wish to join. I am grateful to the Avengers for supporting this initiative."
As T'Challa listens to his father, his peripheral vision catches something outside the building. His eyes widened before turning back to his father. "Wakanda is proud to extend its hand in peace.", his father's last words were.
"EVERYBODY GET DOWN!", T'Challa yelled and ran for his father, but was too late and got blown away.
As the explosion cleared, T'Challa crawled on the floor in search of his father and found his limp body.
"Baba…. Baba!" The prince checked for a pulse but there was nothing…
He's dead….
"No….no….!!", T'Challa cried, cradling his father's lifeless body.
Unfortunately the news spread quickly back to Wakanda where Nakia was waiting for T'Challa. She felt regretful as she watched her daughter walk amongst the women in the village she stayed in.
She turned to the sound of footsteps and saw Shuri walk up to her in tears.
"Shuri…what's wrong….?", she asked, worriedly.
Shuri hugs her tight and bawls. The women rocked, Nakia confused and let Shuri settle down.
"Shuri, won't you tell me what happened?", Nakia asked.
"He's dead….my father. He's dead…", she whispers. Nakia's eyes widened and glossed over.
T'Chaka….dead….? Where's T'Challa…? What happened and how….? Why…?
"We have to go bury him….", Shuri says, getting up and looking at her niece.
"She wasn't even able to have the chance to know her grandfather….", she says.
Nakia glances at her daughter.
She's right. And it wasn't fair. What did he do to deserve his death….?
"T'Challa's in so much pain right now. He's the one that was there.", she said.
That only made Nakia's despair worsen. She didn't want to pile on more bad news.
Unfortunately, that didn't last. It had been months, and she was getting too big to hide for long.
After T'Challa returned to Wakanda after settling with the Avengers and delivering Xeno to justice, Nakia sought out for T'Challa, finally deciding to let him meet his child. The look on his face after seeing him made her want to change her mind. He looked so tired but happy to see her.
As they met up, he felt a bit relieved to see her but could tell something was off. She seemed... Nervous. "There's something I have to tell you.", she told him. Many outcomes entered his mind in an instant. She either found another love, was in trouble with someone or wanted him back.
He'd have to mentally prepare for one of those responses, but was not prepared for her to take him into the farther fields outside of the golden palace where animals grazed and their caretakers watched over them.
Nakia's eyes laid on a girl who was petting a rhino and T'Challa followed her line of sight. He looked at her in confusion at the girl. Nakia took a breath and called out for the girl who turned to them, a look of distain appearing on her face for a moment before she got a good look of the prince before her and she immediately straightened up.
T'Challa's eyebrow raised at the girl as she walked up to them and he looked at Nakia who appeared a little more distressed. The girl stepped up to them and bowed a bit. "My prince.", she greeted.
T'Challa shook his head. "No need for that." She looked up in confusion. "Am I needed?", she asked him and he looked at her with furrowed eyebrows as he took in her features. She looked no older than 14 or 15.
He looked back at Nakia who looked at him with glossed eyes. "T'Challa, this is T'Kia.", she introduced. His eyes widened as he realized why the woman was so off-putting today. He looked between the girl and the woman. "Is she... Did we...–?", he started.
Nakia nods, silently, watching the prince's eyes become glossy. T'Challa looks at the girl. "She's your daughter.", Nakia says, shocking the girl.
T'Kia looked between the two in disbelief before she stared at T'Challa who stared back. He had so many questions. Why was he just now finding out about this...? Why did it take so long? Did she resent him?
He couldn't stand the girl's confused and teary eyes. He looked at her for another long moment, trying to take her in. He felt a sense of regret and shame for missing out on so many years.
Then he reached out and pulled TKia close. "Are you angry with me...?", he asked, softly.
Her eyes bubbled with tears instead, feeling warm inside. This was what she was missing all these years. Not knowing what a father was like... Not knowing what it was like to have him around.
She shook her head silently, hugging him back.
The prince embraced her in his arms, his face now buried in her hair. Even though she was his own flesh and blood, he had never held his own child before.
He never even saw her birth. He missed out on her first steps, her first words, her first birthday.
All the guilt and regret hit him at once and he only squeezed her harder.
The sounds of her sniffles made his heart clench painfully. "Baba...", she sobbed, nuzzling her face in his chest, grasping at his clothes as if he'd disappear. The prince shook his head, and stroked her hair as he shushed her. "Baba is here now. Baba's not going anywhere.", he cooed softly.
He looked over to Nakia, who had tears in her eyes too. He could see the guilt in hers. Her sorrow for keeping their child from him, her tears not just of joy, but also of regret.
Hey everyoneeee!! I’m back with another character aesthetic board, I’ve done a few for namor, shuri and okoye/ dora milaje. I was debating with myself whether i should post namor x siren! reader or this one, but ended up with this one because the colour palette is quite similar to the first one, slightly turquoise/ greenish blue. I may be biased but i personally think they are *chef kisses* and I can not wait to show you all.
All in all, let’s enjoy this one ! I really enjoy making this one, because purple happens to be my favourite colour after teal blue.
P.S: if you guys still stick around reposting, like or all that jazz, I love y’all from the bottom of my heart. Stick around, because I’ll be posting namor x siren!reader in a couple days 😘😉
