I'm sorry but texmex restaurants suck ass. They cater to white people, are covers for drug operations, and have the same generic shit. There's no variation. It's all the same. You don't know immigrant food until you have it from a Mexican grandmother living in the US.

Pretty sure the original point of the post was that the cuisine of people who lived in what was to become the US and/or moved to the US adapted their own cuisine that was not lesser for its adaptation, not about the current state of the resteraunts or how they compare to the food made by more recent immigrants. Heavily commercialized stuff is going to be much worse in quality and low in variation than the actual cuisine. Or, at least, that's what I've experienced from the Iranian side of things: if the resteraunt isn't run by actual Iranians then it's going to barely resemble the actual cuisine, and even if it is, then it'll just be the best selling dishes. But even then, resteraunt food will never top what you get if you actually visit an Iranian family. Can't say anything about the drug deals though.

(For what it's worth, I agree with you- I pretty much don't buy Mexican food unless it's from a hole-in-the-wall local shop when I can help it, just because I genuinely prefer the food. It's always outstanding and has richer variation and doesn't bother my stomach like the Americanized shit does. But also I'm a SoCal boy so I kinda got spoiled with that haha, now that I'm in NorCal I miss my local taco shops like crazy)

Hii :)) So I recently started reading your Mitsuri and Iguro in a poly relationship with us, especially the one where we get cut off in the relationship. I can't help but think of the possible angst material and I wanted to share it with you!!

Okay so imagine getting cut off their relationship, pain, angst, ouchie. And that leads us to be more reckless in missions thus ending up more injured than necessary, hoping that for some reason maybe they'd come back when we're hurting but they just... didn't show up.

But you know who did? Shinobu. Obviously, she was THE doctor, so she's the one always patching you up everytime we finish our missions with injuries. At first it was just professional Shinobu with her professional smile and everything. But then her eyes slowly started to convey worry and her words eventually started to make you feel warm. Which was really weird since Shinobu just scolds you for being reckless and using up all her supplies.

So we bring her lunch one time as and that slowly started to develop to daily lunches, that turned into frequent visits even when we don't have injuries to taking missions together and then it turned into kissing eachother-

Guess who witnessed them kissing? Mitsuri and Iguro. And they realized that...it just didn't feel right. They felt their hearts burn and their eyebrows crease in jealousy.

But that can't be... they've fallen out of love with us...right?
