It’s really funny when people are like - but JK hung out with x person 10 times this year! - and it’s like, okay, and then he chose to spend the next 18 months, 547~ days with Jimin? 😭 You might really want to rethink that argument friend. JK had other options, other people he could have gone with, other programs he could have tried for, a later date he could have enlisted on, and yet he chose JM, and vice versa. They didn’t even have to enlist with anyone, they could have gone individually like everyone else in the group. No one was expecting them to enlist together. And this is also probably the furthest thing there is from company content or fanservice considering we’re not even going to be seeing them for the next 18 months and I doubt they’ll even talk about their time in the military. (i forgot what exactly i added in my first post mentioning it and so im just mentioning stuff as i go and hoping i hadn't repeated any lmao)

aphmau and aaron DO get together for a brief time in college, but decide they're better off as friends and break it off

ein's whole 'trying to become alpha' thing was mainly bc he had a huge crush he refused to admit on aaron and having been bullied so many years as omega, thought it was the worst thing ever when someone as strong as the Ultima of all people became an omega and not the alpha (this could change bc idk if i'll even keep the alpha/beta/omega dynamic...especially in high school of all things)

speaking of ein, i hc that he doesnt have a good relationship w/ zack at all, so he took on his mother's last name instead, so that's why it doesn't really click that he and aphmau are related for the longest time since aphmau had her mother's last name and ein has his own mother's

KC actually chose her own name, with Nana meaning 'beautiful bloom'. The fact it could also mean 'seven' was entirely coincidental.

all of gene's tattoos that he has (but is casually hiding from his mother) were drawn and colored by zenix. sasha suggested a few of them, but never actually helped with the process

garroth, after he and aphmau's first (platonic) kiss, thought it was rather underwhelming and not at all what laurance's romance stories said it'd be like.

zenix loves strawberries. sasha HATES them. they have a very dramatic 'hatred' of each other because sasha keeps trying to get rid of boxes of literal strawberries and zenix just keeps ordering more. gene just wonders when his house became the place for the two to be doing that

instead of that whole angel w healing powers arc, it took her forever to decide, having first started off as wanting to be an artist, but by the last two years of highschool she had decided to become a doctor instead in order to help people

dante is the one who usually cuts travis' hair. they started doing that in high school and just kept it going as a tradition ever since. it doesnt do much because travis likes keeping his hair long-ish, but it gives them time to hang out at least!

katelyn got involved in fighting at a very young age. mostly defending her brothers, who were too weak to defend themselvs. after her mother left, it just became a way to cope, because punching stuff help get rid of the excess emotions. her father only assumed she was copying him and nurtured that response. took lots of talking with aphmau and KC when they were roommates to get her to explore other ways to cope rather than, you know, punching people (*cough* travis)

zane has a bunch of pet snakes he managed to smuggle into the house. his (dont tell the others!) favorite is a peppermint corn snake named Minthe

when vylad was younger, you couldn't look away from him for even a SECOND before he would have been on top of cabinets or counters. he thrived on climbing and causing you as many problems as possible. zane secretly helped him cause said problems by helping him onto places he couldnt otherwise reach when nobody was looking

This whole train derailment thing in East Palestine, Ohio is so horrific.

And those toxic chemicals got into the Ohio River!

And I heard people saying that there was danger that it could possibly get into another body of water?

Apparently, this is going to affect 10% of the country's water supply, as things are? (According to one comment I saw, anyway.)

The place really has become the next Chernobyl, and everything has been handled so badly! (I feel if this had happened in a bigger state, that wouldn't have happened. And I strongly feel they should have evacuated everyone on day one.)

And no one's talking about it! In fact, at first they were covering it up and tried to arrest at least one reporter on the job of reporting the truth (finally more people are starting to discuss all of this, but still not as many as you would think. Especially with the massive ramifications this could have for so many!)

And why hasn't the president or any of the big wigs talked about this or done anything about it? Why didn't people in hazmat suits knock on the people in East Palestine's doors to tell them to evacuate when they finally did give them that order, instead of acting so blasé? You know if it was a place that people actually cared about, people would do so much more. I'm disgusted with my country.

i’m not gonna sit here and try to excuse any of Vincent’s bad traits or explain them with his tragic past, because he’s just a genuinely bad person who gradually got worse overtime. so when i say he’s a walking red flag i really mean it.

unresolved rage from the very early age, the powerlessness behind it turned him into a very angry and bitter man; he sees things for what they are – a realist – who lives in a really angry and brutal world and so he acts accordingly, assimilates, naturally picks up the characteristics of the cruel city and nasty people living in it.

not saying he’s easily manipulated or influenced, it’s just his ability to adapt, find balance, a solution to living in such harsh conditions. and the longer he lived, the more desensitized, emotionally-stunned and cold his mind and heart became, the more irritated and impatient he was with people.

his brutal nature fully surfaced in his late 20s while in the army, where he’s been praised and encouraged, congratulated for a slaughter well-done. years of lies, deceit, secret military operations and shady dirty work only gave him trust issues, caused him to become more guarded, mistrusting; but on the other hand forced him to vow never to lie himself, deeming liars the worst sort of humanity.

proud and controlling – traits he developed as a way to feel in control of his own feelings, of the things and people around him.

while envious of other people's happiness, achievements greater than his he never let money get to his head. he does not kill for monetary value, sees it rather as any other job just much more risky than a regular 9-5. he lives rather humbly, spending his earnings on his job – to better himself, his equipment, his work. while he allows himself to splurge on expensive items he values the quality of the product or service over the price tag and the right to brag about it.

years of mercenary work turned him very critical and patronizing towards young mercs – kids, as he calls them – especially those who foolishly try and follow in his footsteps, too blinded by the glory and fame that comes after. truth be told he’s scared of losing his position on the top of the food chain, fears being forgotten and thrown into the gutter, dying of old age with no memory of him imprinted anywhere. he hates the idea of all his hardships, years of gruesome work going to waste.

not that he aimed to change anything in this world, but he doesn’t want to be a Mr. Nobody, not in a city where being Somebody means dying satisfied, without regrets.

The memory of Mikey collapsing mere seconds after he'd pushed himself beyond his limit, all in the name of returning their lost brother to their sides, popped up in his head. He didn't have enough words in his vocabulary to describe how agonizing it was to watch his little brother nearly destroy his own body.

Looking back at the device sitting in his hands, he nodded to himself. Setting it on his work bench, he began gathering his tools. He wasn't just going to sit by and let Mikey pile all the work on his shoulders anymore. He wasn't going to watch his brother almost literally tear his own body apart. No, Donatello Hamato was going to take it upon himself to at the very least attempt to find another way to bring his twin back.

He sat and began to work, noting the hoodie was as comfortable as his favorite as he started poking around in the device's circuitry. It was warm, too — that's the point, Donald, he thought, it's supposed to be warm — and that helped him relax just a bit more. He needed to thank Leo for it when he got home. Emphasis on when, because he was dragging that idiot home no matter how long it took. He needed to know the hell he put them all through, how much they miss him, how much they love him. And how Donnie was going to kill him if his sacrificial idiot twin brother decided to pull a stunt like that again.

All through the night, he thought of a future with Leo in their lives as he worked. He may be the biggest idiot Donnie's ever met, but he's their idiot, and he will fight through hell and back if it means they get him back.
