Homelander x Reader tampons?
Homelander is a child, you decide. He'd discovered a tampon poking out of your purse and plucked it out while you were otherwise engaged with your phone. Then for some ungodly reason he'd pulled it free of the wrapping and popped the absorbent core free of the applicator, letting it dangle by its string as he glances your way with raised brows. It wasn't as if Homelander didn't know you're currently on your period. Why in the world would he do that? The look you give him is incredulous. "Those are expensive. You're buying me a whole new box." "Don't get your panties in a twist, doll." He smirks back.

#maybe laios has to have his own awakening <-- I'd be very much interested in hearing what that might look like to you 👀 Shuro pining and stressing over it is the easiest thing to imagine, but I struggle a bit with imagining what Laios' perspective on romance is and his romantic interest in general
OK SO....... realistically i think his view on romance in canon is probably closer to how even though we know his passion is monsters we KNOW he wants to eat monsters So Fucking bad...... his favorite food is still cheesecake. yknow?????? but it's not his Passion.... he mentions having a fiance (somewhat as a point of pride iirc?) but having to break it off when he left his hometown. if he Does experience romantic/sexual attraction then it's kind of secondary to everything else going on with him (see also the succubus thing)... ive always kind of assumed that for him, at the very least before ditching town, that getting married was just a thing you did (were supposed to do) and while he wasn't opposed to it, maybe even interested in it, clearly he doesn't seem to care enough to seek it out afterwards. AS an aroace person i want to believe he's on the aroace spectrum adfvccvvbhb..... aro spec non ace laios is interesting too though.....
BASICALLY it's not a huge concern of his BUT. the question of marriage and succession WILL come up post canon. unfortunately he might not be able to take such a lackadaisical attitude about Who he gets with now that he's such a big deal.... but then again, he's got that rebellious streak and seems pretty good at making situations work in his favor. like who's Really gonna be able to stop him if he decides he wants to marry some guy from the eastern archipelago......
I think he might need an awakening in the sense that taking the view that he's kind of assumed that marriage is just a thing that'll happen to him at some point, he's probably never considered getting with a guy. it's just never crossed his mind. but we know he's open minded and willing to take on-board new ideas...... its less a huge awakening than an Oh! i see i get it moment wjnshdhxbx. actually i can imagine the idea being floated to him and he kinda goes hmmmmmm i don't really get it (for me) but ok i guess. then someone going (perhaps out of pity for an already pining shuro) ok but now imagine you and shuro being that close and him going AH! now I get it.
we know that laios cares deeply about the people close to him but it's hard for us to imagine him romantically and that's probably true for the people around him also tbh. i think no matter how you spin it (that he's aroace but decides to have a relationship anyway, or that he does experience any attraction) that perception will always hold and there might be the concern of does he Really get it though irt a relationship (in this case laishuro). I also think that if he does decide on a relationship with someone he cares about that he WILL care deeply he just might not show it in like. any overtly romantic way...
i will say that part of that perception of him being incapable of romance and sexual attraction, im concerned is because of him also being well. pretty autistic lmao. which is obviously not fair. but romance has never been a huge focal point in dungeon meshi much the same way it isn't really for laios, but it's still there nonetheless....
it's possible also that he has a bigger interest in romance and sex than is apparent but because of how Social it is that he simply won't pursue it. he's aware of his lack of social ability and is pretty insular with his social group (iirc this is kabrus perception of him?) so I dont think it's unreasonable to believe he might have decided it wasn't worth the effort to seek it out. but with someone who's Already a friend and you've already made all the possible social gaffes with and they haven't left despite that..........

it's me. again. could i get your favourite genshin fics recommendations? I trust your taste based on reblogs. Either ao3 or tumblr is fine <3 - hanabi anon
Hanabi anon! I'm afraid I don't have much specific genshin fics as I tend to binge read certain authors instead. If I do like a fanfic, I usually just reblog.
Plus most of the fics that I do remember are for general yanderes or oc's for specific prompts. And I don't read much genshin on ao3 so nothing there either.
I can give you a list of my fav genshin authors. Most of their work is yandere genshin fics. Some have sagau and some are just yandere. And they do have full length fics and head canons in it.
Quite a lot of them have a tagging system in place so you can just use that to be shown their writing specifically. Oh and warning a lot of them have nsfw.
---
@yandere-daydreams - has a lot of full length yandere genshin fics. They got all kinds of au's that are amazing.
@ddarker-dreams - has quite a lot go genshin (Scara is the most) but also characters like Chrollo
@yandere-romanticaa - lots of full length fics/requests. Plus her if you like that.
@sagau-my-beloved- Venti centric with sagau and lots of fics! They got their own world building in certain posts too.
@yestrday - you need to use the tag system since they go into a lot of fandoms but the genshin ones are really good. Not full length fics but it's more than head canons. Like imagine sized.
@ventisslut - Another Venti centric. It's a mix of yandere and normal Venti. They don't write that much but they do reblog many wonderful fics.
@writing-genshin-obsession - the yandere genshin of yandere genshin. Yandere, sagau are both in their blog. But not many full length, more like brain rot.
Now @flokali - does not have many yandere genshin so you'll need to use the tags to find it. If you don't wanna then I'll rec a certain fic of theirs. Called Worship - Zhongli. If you just google their username and Worship, you'll find it.
@throwaway-yandere - warning they are retiring! But they have so many good fics to read too. The danganrompa themed was their going away (it's really freaking good). But I remember following them for their full length fics that almost always has a art cover. They write amazing yandere Alhaitham.
@chococolte - is sagau centric. Huge Zhongli fan and if you want to feed a god complex. Her fics are where to go. Just amazing choice of words in her fics.

Do you remember the asks I sent a while ago about how another hero would have risen faster if Zelda had let link die in the calamity and the new hero’s « imaginary friend » was the spirit of botw link acting as the companion for the new hero? And how it would make botw link’s family feel? Do you think you could write something with that?
(@wildsage00 @luckybyrdrobyn @artisticgamer)
There was chatter of a strange swordsman amongst the gossipers in Hateno.
Abel was wary of it. He didn't like when there was "exciting" news in Hateno. He preferred it when the village was quiet. It had been quiet for so long, any change in the status quo immediately put him on edge.
He could only handle so much these days. Hylia knew Lyra was enough of a handful.
It had been fifteen years since the Calamity. Fifteen years since he'd lost nearly everything, fifteen years since he'd failed in his duty as a knight, as a husband, and as a parent, fifteen years since he'd buried his soldiers, civilians, his father-in-law, his wife, and his son all within the span of a few weeks.
He still had never spoken of it since then.
In a way, it was foolish of him not to bring it up. Clearly Lyra was just as affected as him, and she had far more of her mother's temperament than his own. He handled the matter silently while she fell apart. He held her while she cried herself to sleep night after night, shivering from nightmares, begging him to make it better and find a way to bring her family back.
She'd stopped crying, after a while. He'd hoped it meant she was improving, but he knew better. His daughter's one saving grace was that both her parents were stubborn, and she had inherited that. It had been interesting, watching which child took after which parent and how they blended them together. Link had always been sensitive, and he had grown quiet under pressure, putting duty above all else like his father. Lyra had always been louder like her mother, understanding the importance of duty but always questioning it; despite this, she held much of her father in her, growing resistant, angry, driven, outright frightening in the face of pressure. She would rise to the challenge and destroy any obstacle in her way out of pure spite if she had to.
As the years had gone by, Lyra's stubbornness and anger came to a head in her adolescence, that horrid time when a desire to grow, naiveté to the world, and self centered viewpoint all mixed into a stubborn and emotional teenager who wouldn't listen.
Those years had been difficult. Abel and Lyra had fought many times, and he'd had to leave the village in search of her more often than he cared to recall. She'd been insistent on learning how to fight, on reclaiming Hyrule as if she could do so by herself, on picking up her brother's sword and killing Ganon singlehandedly.
Those years had... strained their relationship. But they were trying to rebuild. Abel had compromised, teaching her a little of how to fight. She patrolled the forest just outside of Hateno and fought off monsters. Every time she returned with excited tales of her victories his smile grew a little more. It was a fair arrangement, and it kept things quiet and peaceful.
Until the talk of a swordsman started.
Visitors to Hateno Village were a rarity. No one dared venture out of whatever safe haven they had found the first few years after the Calamity. Refugees trickled into town the first few years and Hateno could barely support them. It wasn't until close to a decade later that anyone dared explore once more, and that was when word spread of the dangers of travelers. Strangers were watched warily these days.
Abel washed some dirt off his hands by the pond as he listened to some women gossiping. He heard feet shuffling and glanced to see Uma, one of the village teenagers, approaching him.
"Sir Abel, Mom says there's a swordsman in town," she noted.
Abel hummed noncommittally in acknowledgement.
"Have you seen him?" Uma continued gently.
Abel sighed. Uma was one of the chattier kids in the village, and she found events outside of Hateno fascinating. Naturally, she gravitated towards those who had any sort of experience with the rest of the world, so Abel had been victim to her interrogations in the past. An exciting visitor was definitely likely to pique her interest. "No. And you'd best be careful about him."
Uma gave a small pout, nodding a little in acknowledgement before asking, "Do you know where Lyra is?"
As a matter of fact, Abel did not know. Given the current excitement buzzing through town, he probably should look for her. "No."
"Oh. Ok. Can I get you anything before I go, Sir Abel?"
Abel paused from drying his hands on his tunic. The question was spoken innocently from the lips of a child who didn't know any better, but its origin was something he didn't care to think about.
Hateno Village was not a large place. Everyone knew everyone. They had all known Abel and his family, they had all seen Link walk through town to get home with a legendary blade on his back. Though many didn't know the happenings of Hyrule, word spread of the Hero of Hyrule, the Princess' Champion, and his role in destiny. Just before the Calamity it had gotten bad enough that Link no longer spoke in to anyone in the village and barely uttered a word in the safety of his family's home. When everything had fallen apart...
Well. Abel didn't care for the way people looked at him. Most did so with pity. Some with curiosity, eager to hear what had actually happened. The mayor had been kind enough to prevent any sort of interrogation. Over the years the concern and nosiness had transferred to their children. Uma was a kind soul from a kind family, and had clearly been told that Abel was in need of help, and so she always offered when she could.
He hated it.
"No," he answered quietly, and the teenager traipsed off, likely in search of Lyra, unbothered by his short responses.
Sighing, the world weary man turned and nearly ran into yet another teenager, though he immediately realized this one was not from the village. Based on the boy's dark complexion and black hair, he looked like he could be from Lurelin Village, one of the few remaining hamlets in the entire country. He was built strong; though short in stature, his muscles were apparent, sculpted from training though still softened by youth. He wore garb from the fishing village, all the more confirmation to Abel, and, as suspected based on the rumors, he had a sword on his back alongside multiple travel supplies.
Abel watched the boy warily. He hadn't expected the swordsman to be this young, but he still didn't trust him. What was he doing here, anyway?
"Um... hi," the teenager said, shifting in place awkwardly. "I... heard that girl--Uma? She... she called you Sir Abel. Are you Sir Abel?"
"What do you want?" Abel asked, crossing his arms and staring the boy down.
The teenager shriveled a little under his gaze before glancing to his right, staring at something for a moment. He took a shaky breath, his hazel eyes darting back to Abel for a moment.
Something about this kid was off.
"My... I..." the kid tried awkwardly, and then gave a sharp bow. "Sorry! I'll leave now!"
With that, the boy rushed by him, heading for the village inn. Abel watched him go, hackles less raised than before as he grew bemused.
XXX
The inn was really nice. Like, much nicer than the one back home. Of course, he guessed more people came here. Hateno was more centrally located. Maybe that was it.
Link didn't know. All he knew was this place was so big and overwhelming. He missed home.
After paying for a place to rest, he dragged his feet upstairs, thankful that he had the place to himself. Then he looked hesitantly to his right. "I'm... I'm sorry. He's... I..."
"It's okay," came the always quiet voice as the Hero reappeared, eyes downcast. "He can be intimidating."
Link watched his companion worriedly. The Fallen Hero often had an air of sadness to him, but he usually tried to hide it behind a neutral face or a small smile. Today had been a nerve wracking day for both of them - as soon as he'd been given this new task he'd seen the tension in his companion increase, and he'd spoken even less.
"You said he was the captain of the guard," Link offered with a shrug, trying to cheer him up and also trying to figure this out. "I mean... captains sound intimidating."
The Hero huffed a little, not commenting, still gazing somewhere far beyond where Link could reach. He wondered if it had to do with the Hero's guilt. Link had seen his friend through the years, playing with him, and as he'd grown older the visits had been fewer and far between until the Hero had finally admitted his true destiny with reluctance. He had apologized, stating that the fault was his own, but had promised to be with him every step of the way. Link had found what answers he could from his family and his village, but not much was known about the Hero of Hyrule except that he, alongside all the other Champions, had been killed.
Link supposed the true issue, then, was that the Hero's guilt made him think that he had failed the captain of the royal guard. After all, he had been tasked with protecting not just Hyrule, but the princess specifically. Now she was trapped in the castle.
This entire side quest was... terrifying to Link. He had been traveling with his friend for a good while now, but after many battles and growing in strength, the Hero had said they needed to find Sir Abel, who would be able to help him find the legendary sword that they would need to defeat Ganon. That had led them to Hateno Village.
The idea of taking the mantle of Hero had not quite sunk in until he'd realized that once he accepted that sword, he accepted his destiny. Having to do so was already weighing heavily on him... having to speak to such a scary looking man didn't help.
He kind of looked like his friend, though. That was weird.
"I'll talk to him, I promise," Link said as he sat on the bed. "I just... need to come up with a good way to approach him. Got any tips?"
The Hero hugged himself, looking opposite of Link.
Well, great. His friend was really upset about this. Link sighed. "Hey. It's... don't feel bad about... him. The Calamity destroyed the entire country and killed all the Champions. You know that it's... it's okay, right?"
He'd been trying to have this conversation for a while now. It was obvious his companion bore the weight of the entire Calamity on his shoulders. He'd tried dancing around the subject, thanking him for his help, saying he was great fun to be around. It had been complicated at first - he'd wondered if the Hero had befriended him as a child just to manipulate him into doing his duty when he was older. But he knew this person - he knew the reason he'd befriended him was out of shame, not some devious ulterior motive. So he'd been trying to cheer him up, because any joy he'd seen in his friend had slowly drained out of him as their quest had progressed.
The Hero looked back at him, face stony.
Link huffed. "It's okay. I wouldn't expect you to stop an entire freaking army of guardians. They look really creepy."
"You haven't faced one yet."
"Yeah, yeah, so I don't know how strong they are, whatever," Link said dismissively. "They still look freakishly strong."
"That's why I've told you stay away from Central Hyrule."
"Okay, but like, there were a million of them at the fort on the way here."
The Hero grew silent.
"Did... did Sir Abel fight them?" Link asked hesitantly. When he got no response, he sighed. "We'll figure it out, okay? I'll get the sword."
"Please," his friend suddenly said. "Don't... don't try to do this for me. I don't want you to do this for me."
"You want me to do it for Hyrule?"
"I want you to choose to do it."
"I already did," Link answered immediately. "I chose this. And I'll, uh... choose to maybe try some of the local food and go fishing before I get near that guy again."
His companion chuckled, a rare smile pulling at his lips. "I'll think of a way you can approach him in the meantime."
"Great! You think about it so I don't have to," Link chirped happily, hopping to his feet. "Maybe we can talk at dinner?"
"You know I can't maintain my form that long."
"Breakfast?"
His companion pointed outside the window, and Link slowly walked to it. This was another trial, wasn't it?
"Get the spirit orb from the shrine," the Hero instructed. "I'll meet you after that."
"Spirit orb. Got it." Link nodded, turning to smile only to find himself alone in the room. He felt a little cold and empty all of a sudden, sad and lonely, but he tried to shake it off. He wished his friend could just stay with him, but he guessed it took work being a spirit in a land of... not spirits.
Link looked back outside, catching sight of the knight he was supposed to talk to. The man was wandering by the inn, throwing a wary glance its way. The fisherman gulped.
Later. He'd deal with it later. It was time to relax for the day, and then defeat the shrine in the morning so he could talk to his companion.
They'd figure this out together, like they always did.

Hi so i only recently got into hamilton and really liked lmm in it but ive been seeing a lot of pjo fans talking about not wanting him as hermes and you are a lmm expert so i wondered if you knew why people are hating on him for being casted in pjo?
first of all, i am actually flattered that you called me an expert (i am literally not but i do know a lot, i observe, i go through lmm tag every day, i get mad when i see people talk shit about him, basically i'm super loud about my love for this guy so there's that some call it dedication, i call it obsession lol).
there are a lot of reasons actually but all of them are just so silly to me. for example, some people say he is a bad actor (if hamilton is not enough for you, please go watch his dark materials, he is excellent and i will fight). others say he can't sing (he can, he may not have the most incredible vocals ever, not like most broadway stars and i know a lot of people compare him with the best singers out there, but it doesn't mean he can't sing, also, he is much better now than he used to be years ago, for example i'd recommend listening to vivo soundtrack, especially keep the beat or one more song, i mean EXCUSE ME BUT MY MAN CAN SING). another reason: some people say he is annoying because he puts raps everywhere. ok, and? he is a great rapper, i'll say more: he is also a freestyle rapper, very talented indeed (i recommend checking literally any freestyle love supreme video on youtube or you can just go through my fls tag here. making up rhymes on the spot? pretty insane if you ask me). there is also a group of people who think he is cringe, his rhymes are cringe, some of his songs are not good, etc etc (i bet those people can write better songs). i think he is one of the greatest composers of our generation and i will, of course, fight (haters, please shut the fuck up about the scuttlebutt, this song was supposed to be annoying, you just don't get it apparently? same with my own drum actually. can we just stop pretending that he is talentless because of those songs you guys literally have no taste and you hate fun and also shut tf up). oh, and also, people these days very often say he is everywhere and it's annoying (this is literally his job but whatever). and my all-time favourite: some people are mad that he was playing hamilton because they think he didn't deserve it (he literally wrote the whole thing but ok). one more thing: i have never read pjo, i literally just started reading it only because of lin, so i know nothing about hermes, but personally i really hope he will sing/rap, just because i want to see them all suffer.
there were also other controversial stuff (with in the heights, hamilton and puerto rico) but we are not going to discuss it on my blog, sorry (mostly because i have my own opinion about it and i know i will get a lot of hate for speaking my mind). one thing i can say is that nobody's perfect, we all make mistakes sometimes and i will always fight for him, no matter what.

hullo, i'm the anon who asked about good people to ask about christianity, which i've actually been meaning to ask for a while .
i have a lot of questions, i think, but ultimately my biggest question is Why?
unfortunately i know thats a pretty massive question to just dump on someone but as someone who once believed and does no longer, i would really like to know what spoke to you in this faith (i know this is also a highly individualized question so .)
hi anon! are you asking why Christianity exists or why I believe?
I believe in God because there cannot be a world without God. Sorry if this seems simplistic but that's literally my response. Evolution cannot happen. It cannot work. Chance cannot come up with people. From a midwife's perspective, there are enough things in birth that have to happen just exactly so that I don't believe it's possible for chance to have made it, or small little changes over time.
I believe in the God of the Bible because the Bible fits together. It makes sense. It's the only book of its kind to ever exist, spanning multiple centuries and writers. And the God who is shown in that Book is someone I want to worship. There's a line in one of the Narnia books that I consider to excellently sum it up: "He's not a tame Lion, but he's good." God is good and wise and just and kind. He created the heavens and the earth and yet he still listens to me. There are coincidences that aren't coincidences that have shaped my life.
On a personal note, I believe in God because I am. I've written about it before, but short summary, I was born three months premature. My mother had been sick all pregnancy. I had so many issues that I should not have survived; it was touch and go for months. My doctor has said multiple times that medically, I'm a miracle. I've seen a summary of medical issues from my first couple of years and I stared at it like what. I shouldn't have survived, but because of God I did. Also, I'm chronically suicidal and depressed. The only reason I haven't killed myself yet is because I know God is with me. "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me."
And if God is for us, who can be against us!

Sorry if I missed it somewhere but are Extinction and Broken Horizon being merged into one thing or do Alex and Riptide exist in both settings? Can Alex still shapeshift into a human?
Hi hello yes!! I've mentioned it briefly in a post or two, but I don't blame you for missing it x)
mostly, I have put all my dragon ocs into the same world: Broken Horizon. Extinction would be a smaller story set within this world instead!
All of the characters from extinction exist in this world now
And no, all of the dragons have lost their human forms and the ability to transform (sorry to my TF fans 😔)
Justification: I wanted there to be two clear sophonts in the world (dragons and humans, separately) for worldbuilding reasons, and this also allows me to always draw dragons which is something i unfortunately tended to avoid since one of the cheap worldbuilding tricks I used for previous versions was 'there's no need for dragon ergonomics and architecture that fits them since they can all turn into people' and while that's fine on its own i actually wanted to explore the other option!

As a little bit of a switch (who’s really such a sub deep down), I would love to meet a dominant femme who decides to mess with me for a bit and play at being more shy and submissive. She has me take the lead, as I lean into the confident, assertive butch role I’m used to playing. It has to be my idea to kiss her; my idea to go back to one of our places; my idea to lean over her, up against the wall, and ask her what she wants, with a smirk on my face. She smiles up at me and puts a hand on my cheek, and tells me “I want you.” But then she gets a smirk of her own and her hand slides from my face down to my throat, and she finishes her sentence: “To get on your fucking knees.”
I would obey without even being able to grasp what had happened. Totally at her mercy after she pushes me from the peak of my dominance way deep into submission under her. I wouldn’t fight it; I know I’d lose if I tried. And besides, every bit of this was my idea. Isn’t this, kneeling helplessly and totally at her mercy what I deeply wanted to be anyway? As I look up at her, the only thought that I have left in my head is a hope that she’ll make very good use of me.
(This came to me while I was scrolling your blog so I thought I’d send it as an ask, I hope you enjoy, ma’am! Just thinking about the extra powerful feeling of not just dropping into submission, but dropping from a dom space into sub space)
anon i briefly considered not even posting this ask bc i love it so much and it’s so deliciously tailored to my tastes that i wanna be selfish with it and keep it tucked away safely forever… but. i will be generous and publish it instead.
this is such an incredible fantasy/roleplay scenario godddd, “dropping from a dom space into sub space” is *chefs kiss*, i mean what a precipitous drop. i love that element of surprise, the way their stomach would swoop and the ground shift beneath their feet a little as they look into my eyes and realize that not only has this sweet little femme been playing them all along, but they’re all-too-willing to be my plaything 🤭
of course i would make excellent use of a switchy sub like that, with a certain amount of teasing for how quickly they dropped to their knees without protest, how that assertive, confident smirk vanished from their lips so fast, replaced by a slack-jawed, breathless eagerness….

I heard that Edward IV and Elizabeth Widvile were known to be very beautiful. Were there any reports on their appearance at the time?
anon 😂
But yes, contemporaries and post contemporaries in the 16th century were pretty much unanimous in praising their appearance. I'll list some of the ones I could find:
Elizabeth:
'The most beautiful woman in England' ('la plus belle fille d'Engleterre') - Jean de Waurin
'Her very great beauty' ('sa tres grande beaute') - Jean de Waurin
"Her beauty of person and charm of manner" - Dominic Mancini
"None of such constant womanhood, wisdom and beauty" - Hearne's Fragment; its author was one of Edward IV's servants
"A daughter of prodigious beauty' - 1469 Continuator of Monstrelet's Chronicle
"Both faire, of a good favor, moderate of stature, well made and very wise" - Thomas More
Edward IV:
"The beauty of your personage it hath pleased Almighty God to send you" - James Strangways, Speaker of the Commons in Parliament
"The king is a handsome upstanding man" - Gabriel Tretzel, travels of Leo of Rozmital
"A handsome prince and had style" - Oliver De La Marche
"In the flower of his age, tall of stature, elegant of person" - Croyland Chronicle
"One of the handsomest knights of his kingdom" - 1469 Continuator of Monstrelet's Chronicle
"A handsome and worthy prince" - Pietro Alipranto
‘...Tall and strapping as the king’ - John Paston, Paston Letters

I'm tagging @edwardslovelyelizabeth because I think you got a similar ask?
I hope this answers your question, anon! I don't generally pay a lot of attention to the physical appearance of historical figures (I find it pretty irrelevant), but in this case, it ultimately does play a role in both Edward IV and Elizabeth's historiographies for better and for worse, and seems to have actually been a personal prop of Edward's kingship, so I don't mind discussing it :)
#either anon is making rounds or someone else saw the ask and asked me something similar 🤷🏻‍♀️#edward iv#elizabeth woodville#ask#also (I wanted to make a separate post about this but fuck it I'll just rant in the tags):#Something I find very interesting (read: fucked-up) is how we have multiple independent accounts praising Edward IV as extremely#attractive at the end of his life#Yet for some reason (aka fatphobia) most historians simply assume that he lost his looks over the years because he put on weight#even though his actual contemporaries (sans Commynes who in any case didn't even see him after 1475) certainly didn't seem to think so#as we can see: Croyland Mancini and More all noted the fact that he had put on weight AND emphasized his attractiveness#because the two are not mutually exclusive in the slightest and assuming that they are is not only incorrect it's also deeply problematic#it's similar to how so many historians assume his health was failing towards the end of his life when we KNOW - we are literally TOLD -#that his illness was both unexpected and baffling to contemporaries#(there is a contemporary reference to his supposedly deteriorating health but as Horrox says this is actually an editorial interpolation)#and the thing that's *always* referenced almost synonymously with this alleged non-existent ill-health is his weight#and the thing is - even if both of these were true they still ultimately wouldn't (and SHOULDN'T) matter. But we KNOW they weren't#and so it's incredibly indicative that historians and general histories STILL automatically assume them - and this assumption#is almost always on conjecture with his weight. (I don't think I've framed this coherently but oh well)#I'm still not over Katherine Lewis's deranged and frankly extremely ignorant epilogue in 'Kingship and Masculinity'#she literally framed her entire perspective on him around his weight with some really ridiculous (read: fatphobic) speculations/assumptions#she's even worse than Thomas Penn who is also revolting (and AJ Pollard isn't much better)#though of course they're not the only ones - almost every historian and general history does this

so then talk about them instead of whining that other people are having fun with what they like. if those other ones are so interesting than make that content in place of behaving like a child because someone else is actually enjoying themselves.

If Twilights’s dad is a spy Then is he working for Westalis or Ostania?
Hey Anon and sorry for the delay! :3
Hmm, first of all, I don’t think his allegiance would be what matters the most, when in case this plot twist happens.
To recap a bit on the theory that Twilight's dad is still alive and a spy (first draft here), I think that, narratively speaking, the interest lies in:
Twilight's entire childhood, nay, life was based on a lie
A lie he's currently exactly reproducing by pretending to be Anya's dad (except that, unlike him, Anya knows her dad's a spy on a mission), which is why it'll need to be addressed by the plot eventually.
Additionally, and considering that this trauma from his childhood turned him into everything he didn’t want to be, I'd say facing this terrible truth (for once) is how he's going to come to the realization that he can't do to Yor and Anya what his dad did to him and his mom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Otherwise, you know, "he's really just like his dad", a dad who possibly caused a terrorist attack or, at the very least, who took advantage of one to leave his wife and kid behind.
All "for his mission".
Twilight being recruited as a spy might be related to WISE knowing his dad is a spy
In that case, if his dad is also a spy working for Westalis, then WISE recruited Twilight because they bet he shares the same skills as his dad.
However, if his dad is a spy working for Ostania, then WISE recruited him for the same reason, except it was to use him as possible leverage/weapon against his own dad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Either way, if WISE knew about Twilight's dad being a spy, then WISE will be held accountable for manipulating Twilight with lies. So I think, by the end of the story, Twilight will also come to realize this truth, because it's the only way to untangle the web of lies that now represents his life.
Also, Twilight realizing that WISE used him from the start would match with Yor being indoctrinated since childhood by the organization she also currently sides with.
And, while I have no doubt that eventually their family will prevail over old allegiances, I believe it will only be possible if both Twilight and Yor face the truth that they were totally used as pawns by the organizations they believed in, in order to free themselves from them.
Tumblr media
To finally answer your question (sorry for rambling): thematically since Twilight is Westalis' "greatest spy/asset", tbh it's likely that his dad is the Ostanian equivalent.
As for who he is, I'd say someone currently working for the SSS, which is how Twilight risks being discovered by them (if Garden doesn't sell him out first, for being Yor's fishy husband being interested in Donovan Desmond).
And considering the fact he must be an older man, with a light hair color, visible cheek bones and a slim nose, well, we don't have a lot of possible suspects in the cast...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Especially since, interestingly, the job of Yuri and his captain is to catch spies.
Lastly, if Yuri's captain is Twilight's spy dad, then he must have gotten that scar after leaving his wife and kid behind, say, maybe during that very same explosion/terrorist attack that happened in their hometown?
TL;DR my money is on Yuri's captain being Twilight's spy dad, because this has high comedic value, when we know how much Yuri dislikes Loid while his dad mentors him on the job. Though it's also quite ironically devastating considering that, in that case, Twilight literally impersonated his dad in ch14 when investigating Yor...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...implying he's slowly becoming exactly like his dad, a man he will despise once he finds out the truth. ://
Sorry for rambling, I hope it answers your question ! Have a good day ahead, Anon.
