Rouge - Taikoura one-shot for Shades of Red

A/N: Shades of Red is a very precious little story I wrote for digiweek 2021 about Taichi falling for not only Sora, but for Koushiro as well. A story about the wonders of polyamorous relationships and that it takes self-knowledge to take that one courageous step towards a life full of love. So have a new shade of red <3

Based on a little Taiora-scenario I wrote in early 2021 which @seventeenlovesthree made sure to provide with beautiful art which I'm still so in love with :3 You can find it here: [x].

Day 8: Rogue or Blush | Characters: Koushiro Izumi (POV) x Sora Takenouchi x Taichi Yagami | Genre: Romance, some sort of hurt/comfort | Rating: T | Wordcount: 1.293

A yawn escaped him as he stretched his slender frame, the office chair rolling slightly to the back. Koushiro was still up, the different monitors on his desk lined up and on. After much complaining from Sora, who was according to him unnecessarily way too worried about his health, he had installed a filter on the screens. That way he could protect his eyes, but still work during night time.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t work in the day time, no, he had grown fond of working with both Taichi and Sora around. However, they had the tendency to distract them and so, being the night owl of the three, he decided to catch up on work during the night. Koushiro liked the quiet, the only sound interfering his endless thoughts the sound of keys clicking.

Time had already gone way past midnight when the sound of his fingers flying over the keyboard was interrupted with bare feet entering their shared office. Koushiro peeked over his computer screens, his eyes picking up on red-colored messy sleep hair, his nose smelling Taichi’s perfume she was bringing with her into the room.

“Sora-san, shouldn’t you be asleep?”

His fingers left the keys as he decided to check up on her. He watched her closely and concluded she looked stress. It wasn’t a surprise with the big deadline that was luring from behind a bush called Friday. Koushiro remembered all of her speedy talking which wasn’t very Sora-like, her calm demeanor sliding off.

“I couldn’t,” Sora answered sounding sleepy yet stressed. “Tomorrow’s the first draft for the collection and it feels like I missed a few details. I have to check it.”

Not for one second did she look at him. As if pulled to her drawing table, she walked towards it, her right hand frantically searching for the right pencil underneath the pile of designs. To Koushiro they were all equally wonderful and knowing Sora, he knew she didn’t miss any details. He also knew she was stubborn, perhaps even more so than Taichi, and so he didn’t ask further. Instead he kept a close eye on her while he kept working, thinking it would only be a few minutes before she would return to bed.

But a few minutes turned into over half an hour and Koushiro grew worried. Without saying anything, he stood up to grab the both of them some tea.

“Thanks.” Was all Sora said as he carefully placed the cup on the only empty spot on her drawing table. Her eyes were wide, completely focused on her work. Koushiro looked over all the colors and lines dancing on the papers forming beautiful designs for modernized kimonos.

“I truly admire your skills and ambition, Sora-san. The designs look unquestionably stunning, I’m convinced that they’re enough for a first draft. I’d like to escort you to bed so you can sleep some more.”

“Tell that to yourself, you always stay up late,” Sora snapped back, but immediately realized how mean that was. She finally looked at him. “Sorry, I didn’t mean it like that.”

“I’m aware. You must be tired, hence why I wanted to bring you back to bed,” Koushiro explained calmly.

Sora smiled in return, her tiredness didn’t allow her to keep her lips curled up for too long. “And I appreciate your worry over me. But I just can’t sleep yet.”

Koushiro nodded in response. She gave off a tired look, the determination however made her glow all the same.

A little bit defeated, Koushiro headed back to his seat behind his desk. He sighed before his fingers went back to the keyboard, then started typing once more, the room filled with the tapping sound again. Per usual, it made him loose track of time.

Eventually from the corner of his eye Koushiro could see Taichi’s sleeping body dragging himself into the office. The brown haired man rubbed his eyes and a yawn escaped him as he placed himself next to Koushiro, looking over the computer screens in Sora’s direction. A worried expression emerged on his face and Koushiro looked up to Taichi.

“How long has she been up an working?” Taichi asked with a hoarse sleepy tone followed by another yawn.

Koushiro checked the time.

“It could easily be over an hour now.”

Taichi sighed. It was all he needed to know. He kept standing there, watching her work, worried yet the fondness in his eyes easily outdid the worry.

Even though Koushiro was well aware of Taichi’s adoration and admiration for both him and Sora, he could never get enough of Taichi staring so intensely to especially Sora. It was something he could observe day in and out, it would never grow old.

“What?” Came Sora’s voice. Clearly she had been taking notice of Taichi’s staring. It made Koushiro snap out of his thoughts, however, Taichi only intensified the eye contact he now had with her. “Do I have something on my face?”

“No.” He replied. The features in Taichi’s face changed from intensity to softness accompanied by a cheeky grin.

“Then what is it?” Sora asked, the annoyance in her voice returning.

In a way, even though Taichi meant it well, these little exchanges of words between his two partners made Koushiro feel uncomfortable. Simply because it could go two ways. They would either start bickering, or…

“I just think you’re beautiful.”

Or they would jump each other in a more sexually physical way.

Yes, Koushiro loved them both very much, but their intensity could sometimes be a tad too much. Making him blush in frustration or ecstasy. Often it was both though.

He looked from Taichi to Sora and back in anticipation. Because with Sora being stressed and tired, you could never predict how exactly she would respond.

Koushiro had not expected the cherry red blush on her cheeks radiating warmth and surprise.

“Go back to bed, Taichi,” she stumbled, failing to hide how that one compliment had gotten to her.

“Well, you’ve heard the boss,” Taichi said to Koushiro, taking Sora’s words as his cue to go. “Can you tell her I’d like to see her back in bed soon? And you too by the way.”

Taichi winked and gave Koushiro a sweet small peck on the top of his head before he turned his heel to return back to bed. Alone.

Or so Taichi thought.

Right before he would have left the office, Taichi was stopped by Sora hugging him from behind. Her graceful arms embraced his athletic body, her one hand just able to hold the wrist from her other hand. She pressed her head to Taichi’s back and rubbed her nose into the fabric of Taichi’s sleep shirt, a genuine smile happily dancing on her lips before she spoke.

“Thank you, I needed that.”

Koushiro looked at the both of them, standing in the door way exchanging love in a to him beautiful way. It was tender and fragile, grand in its simplicity.

Where Sora’s blush turned into a warm and grateful pinkish one, Taichi showed a knowing one. Accepting the love he felt for her. For them. And all Koushiro could do was take in the little loving still he was treated to.

He recalled how their love wasn’t self-evident from the beginning, especially to Taichi. But the road he had followed together with Sora and Koushiro had led him to being his happy and cheesy self again. Where his blush first was one of confusion and shame, it now showed his pride and a genuine love.

Koushiro smiled, a shared blush like rouge now complimenting his own face. Happy he was here with them, being able to see the love unfold in front of him over and over again.

TaiKouvember Day 4: Confession/Lies

Taichi had never planned to lie. It wasn’t in his nature. However, when it came to himself, it was always nearly impossible to face his own feelings. Even to the most important people in his life, the ones he loved most in both worlds.

How was he supposed to know that the answer would determine the rest of his life? If he had, he would have been honest. He would have said his real feelings.

Now here they were, about to leave him behind. And he only had himself to blame.

The day they came to him, he was shocked. Not by the fact that his two best friends had been in love, or even that they sought to open themselves to someone else, but to him? He couldn’t believe it. It was like a dream come true.

And he just couldn’t say it. He couldn’t be honest. His fear stayed in his mind.

His fear that ruled his relationship with his sister.

His fear that almost made him lose his redheads once before.

His fear that now made him lose both of them.

They didn’t blame him, they continued on like they always had. However, he could feel their sadness. After so long with them, he understood them better than he did himself.

Maybe he was crazy.

Maybe they got over him and are focused on each other.

Maybe they were happier like this.

It all seemed to happen so fast after that. Dating, living together. Now a wedding. He couldn’t believe it.

Taichi was the Best Man. It meant so much to everyone. He wanted to be there, but he didn’t deserve it. Despite that, one individual stayed in his mind.

Agumon.

Agumon would have wanted him to be there.

Agumon would have wanted him to be happy.

Happiness… was he happy like this?

No, he needed to change something.

They asked for objections at weddings, right?

That was it. The final chance.

“Maybe I have one more evolution after all.”

when i first made this account in 2020, i was a continent away from home, experiencing one of the harshest lockdown in the world, and struggling to survive my master's studies. watching digimon was one of my solitude, so i decided to jump into the community while channeling my hobby of writing and designing. you know i was never a consistent poster (and had gone m.i.a. too often lol) so i didn’t expect 1k followers. but despite the numbers, the most important thing is i feel welcomed in this old-but-gold community. i also make friends and i hope to cherish this friendship even though maybe later on i will be no longer active on tumblr.

while i'm not the one who celebrates often, i tried to think of something. but with quite a little time, i cannot make something grand. so all i can do now is to share some digimon .png files i’ve used for some of my works. i had invested in cleaning up backgrounds and such, and i know how hard it is to find some good-quality images that are easy to tweak. so i hope this will come useful for the community :)

"Why are you doing this?"

Because when I was much younger, so many other ships already had LOADS of A.M.V.s and I never found very many for Koushiro or Taishiro / KouTai specifically, which I always found very odd, because they had more than just enough material to make full-length A.M.V.s out of... (and maybe more than you expected!!)

Years later, I'm evening out the playing field for Koushiro!!! (But more seriously, it's because I seriously enjoy making these and if I don't make them the idea is going to repeatedly echo in my head until I finally have it DONE, also as many of these were planned for many months~years and the outlines can take equally as long!!)

I'd be really happy and glad if anyone can come to understand Koushiro, Taichi, or KouTai (/Taishiro) more via these A.M.V.s, including from my own perspectives.

I'd be really happy to hear your thoughts or tags rambles!! Please let me know if something intrigued you or stood out to you, or if you liked a particular edit I made on a scene or sequence of scenes!! A lot of these can be quite hard for me to achieve! Respecful Feedback helps me improve and I may branch out further to other parts of the series + characters later on once I wrap up as many of my currently planned A.M.V.s as possible.

Koushirou randomly going to pick up Taichi to meet all of the other's at the park despite some of the other's actually living closer to them and then Taichi starting some poor excuse about not having his phone book so Koushirou point blank calls him out like, "So you lost it." Also just the whole scene where Tentomon and Agumon get disguises is peak cinema fite me. Everyone dumping their work onto Jyou and seeing Taichi with this, "Et tu, Brute?" expression and Taichi just "haha... no.... I wouldn't" and Sora standing next to Koushirou just casually all, "Taichi couldn't find his phone book, huh?" and Koushirou answering, ".....Yep."

There's no point here I just love this whole fucking scene

Your resident Taikoura president took over two decades to realize that these two scenes are actually parallels to one another.

Probably because they're not playing out in the exact same way and don't have the same weight in the grand scheme of things; one moment is framing a B plot, the other is sprinkled into the A plot, but more in the back. But in the end, they have, indeed, several things in common:

Taichi Yagami may need a while to get over his own stubbornness, but once it hits him, once he's realized that he was in the wrong, he will take the step to apologize.

Note that in both scenes, he is not being 100% straightforward - in Sora's case, he is sending a mail, in Koushirou's, he can't look him in the eyes. There is a sense of shame, of guilt; it took him a while in both cases (days in the former, minutes in the latter) to realize his wrongs after all, that he may have been insensitive to some degree, so it takes a bit of courage to get out the correct words...

On the other hand, one may want to argue that the "reasons" for their fights seem rather "insignificant" at first glance - but that is the exact point, let's not forget we're talking about 11- and 12-year-olds here. Without going too much into analysis mode here, both scenes are intertwined in their respective arcs: Sora may have gotten mad at Taichi because she is not at peace with herself and struggles with her identity at that point ("Should I dress more feminine or not, should I change my appearance, am I not appreciated and liked for how I always was?"). Koushirou historically struggles with reading the room when he is in hyperfocus mode and him reading e-mails in a tone that may have hit a nerve in Taichi was inevitable - Taichi was on edge already anyway and getting unintentionally "criticized" may have been the tip of the iceberg for him to snap.

Despite both instances being stretched out over several scenes, the most important part is: both Sora and Koushirou are forgiving Taichi eventually. There is no malice, no bad blood, no "break" in their bond, no matter what happens.

And in a very deep, meta, "reading way too much into everything" kind of way, Taichi's bond with Sora and Koushirou is also being mirrored with his bond with Agumon/WarGreymon. Because Taichi was reckless, WarGreymon could not have kept on fighting and got hurt. Hence why Taichi "indirectly" apologizes for that too - because in the end, they will only succeed when they overcome their struggles together.

If you were chosen to continue the Digimon Adventure 2020 story, what headcanon theories or ideas would do you have for the series going forward?

What you want the Digidestineds next great adventure to be? How would you want them to grow and develop as characters? And how would their relations evolve? Especially how do you imagine Tai's relation with Sora and Izzy would develop? (I love the three of them soooooo much in the 2020 series!)

If it were to take place right after the end of Digimon 2020?

Oh, if only I HAD that power...! I had already outlined a few aspects here before, but for completion's sake, I can elaborate again, because there are several possible scenarios I would like to see:

1.) Give me a slice-of-life-anime with the 8 being somewhere between 12 and 17 and have them go through some Tamers/Ghost Game-esque adventures in the real world. I had written a love letter for how much I adore episode 31 of OG Adventure structurally the other day and I would really love a series with the same vibe. Since the first season of the reboot was more plot-driven, this second season would primarily focus on their personal stories/backgrounds/family lives with Digimon-related shenanigans affecting technology and their everyday lives in the process. Giving every single character time and space to bloom. We would also learn more about the Crests and how each kid was chosen in the first place - I don't NEED reincarnation theory to be confirmed, but I would really like some more breadcrumbs into a satisfying explanation as for WHY THEY were chosen specifically in "this timeline" and how exactly the Crests came to be.

2.) I also had an idea based on a dream I once had, additionally furthered by the last episode or rather the "epilogue" that was presented there: I had outlined the idea here as well, but basically, it'd be about dividing the cast into primary and secondary squad (to allow more focus on singular characters in a shorter number of episodes) and have the former actually go gate-hopping and exploring the different worlds out there. It's a more self-indulgent idea, as it mainly focuses on the dynamics between Taichi, Koushirou, Sora and Mimi, but I couldn't keep the others away completely either. So I haven't fully utilized the idea yet...

3.) An interesting idea that was brought to my attention recently was the idea of making a season revolve around Taichi disappearing due to the gate-hopping. Since the first season basically revolved around typical Shounen protagonist Taichi Yagami, the second season would be about the others gate-hopping as well to find him. I haven't thought this one through yet either though...

In terms of general character development and relationship dynamics, I would be happy to actually see more about their individual selves, their flaws and worries and how they get along - or don't. It's really difficult to put a finger on how exactly that would look like, because I absolutely cannot blame the creators of the reboot for being "careful" on how to depict the characters beyond some general tropes. We've known these guys for TWENTY FIVE years and Tri already tried to tackle some things that were different, while still resorting to predictable outcomes without much depth we had already seen several times over - without intending to change the status quo too much. I obviously don't want to see perfect happy endings for everyone, but things were missing in the reboot so far that made the original characters so charming - and the reboot HAD the chance to elaborate on different outcomes here.

We already saw Jyou going for a more leadership-esque route, which his OG self actively didn't choose. So how would that affect his relationship with Taichi, who naturally got the leadership role again? How about Sora having a semi-peaceful relationship with her mother this time, so she can actually be experimental AND also choose to be a vital part of the group? What about Mimi coming from a rich family that provides technological gadgets - how would her knowledge on that influence the way she communicates with Koushirou? Would she try to be competitive for example? Show me more insecurities, show me how they'd actually challenge their Crest meanings? Show me a Hikari who rebels against her brother, show me a Takeru who takes charge, show me Koushirou being honest about his back story to the others (LET US KNOW IF HE IS EVEN ADOPTED IN THIS TIMELINE OR NOT), show me Yamato being vulnerable or try to be more humorous and failing at that! Show me Taichi having flaws! Again, I don't NEED him to be depressed AGAIN, but he has to have something he is insecure or unsure about.

As for Taikoura's relationship, once again, there are several ideas I could see, all shipping aside. One of them is the very self-indulgent "Team Light are actually connected mentally now and can sense and feel when the others are in danger" soulmate scenario that may affect how they interact with each other...

... In more general terms, I do need them all to spend more time together. If you take the ideas 1 I outlined above, they would go through their daily lives together, visiting the same school, etc. So of course Taichi and Sora would focus more on their passion for football as they promised in season 1 and, as mentioned above, Sora might still feel weird about "growing into herself", but she would be more comfortable about experimenting. Combining her tomboy-ness with a more feminine side and exploring that further (and in an ideal scenario deepening her relationship with Mimi in the process, because the reboot did NOT focus on that yet AT ALL). And I want Taichi to be supportive of her in this!

Taichi also made a promise to Koushirou that they would explore the other worlds together - which may also apply to idea 2 I outlined, because I need them to have an OWG-esque partners-in-crime relationship in which they go on cyber adventures together. And in both idea 1 and 2, they would have to balance their daily lives and responsibilities with that. Meaning, this would be a great opportunity to actually see Taichi and Sora learn about Koushirou's home life - he might still try to hide it from them, but I'd want a huge chunk of the story to focus on them trying to get something out of him (gently of course!), having him explore his own identity in the process as well. Showing him that the bond he developed with these two (and the others too) does not just exist because he is "useful" to them, but because he really means something to them.

I obviously also want Koura to bond more with each other - not only over their shared affections for Taichi and because they want to figure out if he is actually hiding something behind that unshattered mask of positivity... Maybe in this timeline, I can finally get them to become canonical fashion buddies, who knows?

Edit: A very important aspect I forgot is that I want and need new Jogress and branch evolutions between the different characters! BE EXPERIMENTAL, TOEI, IT'S GOOD FOR MERCH AND SHIPPING.

For @taikouvember 2023 - Day 2: Past, Present & Future + Day 6: Brave Knowledge, Unexpected Impulsive Love & Curious Courage

A/N: Taikouvember means Taishiro, buuuuuuut I couldn't let the chance of finally writing for my all time favorite OT3 involving Taishiro slide. So I took the freedom and wrote a Taikoura songfic piece! And before I dump it, it needs a little explanation.

What if?

This little young-polyamory story will be about Koushiro, Sora and Taichi struggling with their feelings towards each other -being completely oblivious or not wanting to admit/commit- and how they have (not) acted, are acting or would like to act. How fear about the unknown, fear to fall and fail, holds them back from acting.

How one stayed, the other stands still and the last one wants to run, towards a future with them.

A story about finding motivation. About the possibilites of an 'unexpected and impulsive love' that takes 'brave knowledge' and 'curious courage'.

I could publish it as one post, but that could be a little much, so I decided to cut it into four parts: Part 1 - Koushiro (and Yamato) Part 2 - Sora (and Jyou) Part 3 - Taichi (and Mimi) Part 4 - Taikoura

Koushiro stepped outside, slowly leaving his always wandering mind behind. He felt brave with the brisk air flattering his warm cheeks. And he knew that every step further ahead would bring him to a ledge where he could find them, that one possible view, he had not dared yet to set his eyes on properly.

Get out of my head for a minute And just feel the wind on my face

She felt anxiety rise in her chest, her heart beating rapidly while her fingers nervously wrote the message she had been afraid of to send. But as that fear reached the top she had never imagined it could reach, all Sora felt like was being alive.

Maybe the fear Just means I'm alive

Her eyes scanned the message one last time, thumb hovering above the button that would send it to them. Sure, she could fall hard… Or she could follow those impulses to find the love she so unexpectedly desired.

Maybe I fall...

His phone beeped once outside the building. Unlocking his phone, Taichi found a message in that one group chat. The corners of his lips curled up into a wide grin, heart pounding in his chest a little more, knowing that this was the last piece of courage he needed to fly to his future with them.

But what if I fly?

Pt 3. Taichi

“I don’t know Mimi…” He said.

“Just do it, Taichi-san, live a little!” She returned.

Mimi stood behind him like a coach cheering him on to dive in the water and swim his fastest lap yet, while he was afraid, on the verge of another panic attack. His starting-block was the door he stood in front of, his right hand nervously on top of the doorknob. Taichi felt like chickening out, his mood rather gloomy opposed from Mimi’s never ending lively energy.

He had been trying to get to her level of positivity. It was what he needed, otherwise he would have never asked her to come over and hype him up. Asking someone over –especially Mimi— was something he usually wouldn’t do, but in this case, for this goal, when desperate times called for desperate measures, it felt like the only right thing to do to keep him on track.

“It feels more like dying.”

He had kind of lost the track though.

“Ugh, always the negativity, doubt and drama with you,” Mimi said, annoyance seeping through. He heard her coming closer, so Taichi let go of the doorknob and turned around to look at her, knowing he would get another motivational speech from her.

“Look, what else do you wanna do? Wait for them to come first? Because if you do that, I bet you’ll be waiting for eternity to pass. Try to see the future, be curious, jump right into it! I’m convinced you’ll have all the beauty of this romance, but only when you simply get off that scared ass of yours and tell them how you feel!”

“But I don’t know what I feel!” Taichi belted out sounding like singing a bad love song.

Mimi crossed her arms, raising one eyebrow and giving him a grin to provoke him once more. “Is that so?”

“I… God damnit Mimi.”

Taichi sighed, eyes falling to the ground, his own confusion making him feel sick. He hated it when she was right, it drove him insane. Through his confusion, he knew exactly how he felt. For once in his live he knew what he wanted to chase. And it was now or never, with never not being one of the options. However, the idea of going face down, jumping into an empty swimming pool, people laughing in his face about his failure…

“You’re afraid.”

Thank God Mimi was here to word his feelings. She made it sound so easy.

“Yes.” He said as he straightened himself a little. He inhaled and looked straight back at her. “Yes I am.”

Mimi nodded silently, thinking hard on what motivation she was going to give him next. What kind of analogy would work best. “So what if you fall? Just like that. Poof. Straight out of the sky.”

“I actually die.”

“Taichi-san! Focus!” Mimi snapped back, playfully slapping his arm but meaning it with all its force all the same.

“Okay okay!” Taichi cried. He thought about what she said, because what would happen if he fell…

“I will never get what I want.” Taichi concluded out loud.

“Ten points!” Mimi exclaimed in response. “Now, what would happen if you make that jump, but instead of falling, you fly?”

His eyes grew big, heart pounding in his chest as he let that idea run through his mind for a moment. What he saw were all the possibilities, all the wonderful and loving outcomes it could bring him. Bring them. Sure, it wouldn’t be easy. Who the actual f would consider such a romance like that in traditional Japan? But all he saw was the beauty and he remembered why he had asked Mimi to hype him up and go after what he had been curious about for years now.

“That would actually be amazing,” he fondly spoke, a bright smile appearing again.

“Mmhm!” Mimi’s excitement for him, for them, was beyond everything and Taichi felt incredibly thankful. “And i—”

“ –if I don’t jump at all, I will wonder forever.” He finished for her, his courage flooding back to him thanks to her. “I see what you’re trying to do here.”

“Heh. Now go get them!”

Pt 2. Sora

“Why don’t you just text her?” Sora decided to blatantly ask. “You’ve compiled so many nice messages, but you never seem to send them. It’s a pity, really.”

She looked at Jyou who was sitting left from her. In order to get to their work, every week they both traveled by bullet train crossing Tokyo, often ending up in the same train. Despite Jyou’s sometimes usually twitchy nature, Sora really enjoyed his company.

“I just don’t feel comfortable yet…” Jyou said and Sora could hear the nervosity rise in his voice again. “We only met again last week after years.”

He was referring to the girl he had borrowed a bike from during the events of Diablomon. Sora laughed to herself recalling the moment Jyou told everyone what he had done feeling incredibly guilty, yet blushing madly when he called the girl by name all the same. A few weeks ago, they had accidentally bumped into each other again, rekindling old sparks and Sora had been helping Jyou with dealing with his feelings ever since.

To her, it was always easier to deal with someone else’s feelings, her own being way too complex anyway. While she turned her own phone in her hand a couple of times, her thoughts wandered off to not one, but two people. She quickly shook away any more thoughts and composed herself by responding.

“But if you don’t send them, she will never know how you exactly feel. I mean, you do like her, don’t you?”

Jyou nodded. “It’s just... not the right time yet,” he stammered, his eyes fixated on his phone, a small smile across his lips. Sora watched him carefully, mirroring his smile. He then looked up, catching her watching him. “How about you, Sora-kun?”

“What about me?” She moved back slightly, ducking away from his question.

“Well, you’re not any better than me regarding sending messages.” His tone was light, but serious.

“I’m not following.”

“Every time we’ve been on this train together these past few weeks, you have been fumbling with your phone. It’s been weeks now,” he said as he showed her one of his kindest smile.

It was a sympathetic smile, with it telling her he understood. Sora smiled back, her gaze directed towards her feet, thinking back to these last weeks. How she had been nervous to receive messages, avoiding to opening the ones she had received, anticipating a rejection while there was nothing to reject yet.

She had typed what could easily be a hundred messages, never believing any of those was the right one. And thus she never sent one, that way there was nothing to reply to for the others.

Sora looked back up to look at Jyou. It was funny how she was able to tell him to send those messages, while she herself couldn’t do it. Maybe she needed to hear her own advice from someone else.

“ I didn’t know you could be so observant,” she lowkey teased him.

“I’m usually not, anyway, not when it comes to these things,” Jyou awkwardly laughed away, his right hand scratching the back of his head. It was almost apologetically. “But you three are so obvious.”

A feeling of being caught came over her and Sora’s cheeks turned as red as her hair. “U-us three…?”

It was never supposed to go that way, she shouldn’t be feeling what she felt. She couldn’t chase after that kind of love… Could she?

“Everyone knows, except the three of you.” Jyou said, interrupting her thoughts, sounding more calm than ever before.

“Just send those texts already and you’ll find out.”
