HNI boys as fathers

Sendo

Sendo would be a playful, affectionate and goofy father. He knows how important it is to have a good father figure so he tries his best in everything with them

He chucks the babies into a pram and runs around the neighbourhood. The babies enjoy the ride and Sendo gets his roadwork in, win-win situation

Sendo, a bit too wild at times, tries out experimental recipes and causes the kids to get diarrhea

He enjoys reading stories to them, especially adventure tales, and he often gets carried away with his storytelling, making the stories come alive with his enthusiastic voice acting.

Sendo buys the twins superhero capes and carries them around the house to make them feel like they're flying

He lovesss talking to baby talk with the twins. It sometimes slips out while talking to you and he gets embarrassed

He brings the twins to the gym and makes Hoshi look after them

When he's especially busy or has a match coming up soon he drops off the twins in the morning at his grandma's then picks them up after he's done

Volg

Volg would be a very gentle and caring father, and perhaps a bit too nervous at times when he can't figure out why the babies are crying

Volg sets up a play pen in the living room so the babies can waddle around and play together while he shadowboxes and watches opponents' tapes nearby

He takes the babies out for walks since he feels too anxious to leave them alone while he is out for roadwork

He reads out the books he is reading to the babies. And of course he reads them childrens books to get them to fall asleep

Volg being mulitlingual starts early in teaching the boys languages so that they can pick up many languages like him when they grow up

Takamura

Takamura is the definition of a playful and enthusiastic father. He's a natural at making his babies laugh and smile with silly faces

He'd start every day a tad bit later than his s/o, so you would have to feed the babies most of the time probably

When he wakes up he'll smother the babies with kisses and plenty of tickles

Sort of like a bouncy castle, he'll set up a soft boxing ring and put the babies in there to see what they do

Takamura isn't the most talented when it comes to cooking so often his family and aoki come over with food for the babies

Often he sings karoke on the tv while the babies babble along

He also sings "my punches are dynamite" as a lullaby for the twins

Despite being champion he still needs to practice boxing so he brings the babies to the gym. Much to Kamogawa's annoyance most of the boxers (expecially Aoki and Ippo) are distracted by the babies and keep playing with them when they should be training

Miyata

At first Miyata would be really unsure of what to do with the twins like should he buy them matching clothes or separate ones to give them individuality

He'd also be a bit awkward at first trying to hold the babies and feeding them, but eventually becomes an expert at those things

Miyata would be a calm and nurturing father

Miyata enjoys quiet activities with them, like reading books together or playing with legos

Sometimes he shadowboxes in front of the twins hoping that they are inspired to take up boxing when they are older

He only goes for runs when he knows that the boys are sound asleep. Some days he gets worried and cuts his runs a bit short to come back home

When his s/o comes back from work he shares what happened during the day and tries to squeeze in quick roadwork while you're at home with the babies

Watching your lover get beat up for a living was never easy, but certain things make it worth it. The big smile on his face made it worth it. The screams as he raised his fists in the air made it worth it. The tributes he gave you during the post-fight interviews made it worth it. The kisses shared in the seclusion of a Korakuen Hall locker room made it worth it.

Some things dulled that glow, like the blood trickling down his face or the weakness in his limbs or the occasional swollen eye. Some fights were easier to watch than others. You didn't like any scenario when Takamura could end up beaten, but easy wins were easy wins.

When he came home with bear scars on his chest, your stomach flipped. You hated seeing your Takamura injured, hated knowing he always put himself in danger, and somedays you supported his career by the skin of your teeth. Far be it from you to tell him to abandon his craft, but sometimes, you wanted to.

And this was one of those times.

Kamogawa never let you come into the locker room until Takamura was cleaned up, despite his protests. He knew his strong girl could handle it. Hell, you just saw him in the ring! You could hear him bitch and moan from the otherside of the door, giggling softly as you took in their bickering. You were grateful Kamogawa protected you so. In fact, you weren't strong enough to handle seeing Takamura so broken.

Yagi knew you were there. He knocked on the door once before opening it because I knew you were leaving against it and didn't want it to hit you when he opened it.

"He's ready," Yagi said softly to you, "He's still in pretty rough shape but a little better."

"Thanks for patching him up," you smiled as he pulled you into the room, closing the door behind you to keep cameras out. They had their time with him, now it was yours. You always loved how important Kamogawa and Yagi pretended you were. It fed the delusions in your mind that Takamura couldn't fight without you, and it was a good feeling.

Takamura never did well with reactions, so gasping and turning pale when you entered the locker room was avoided at all costs. You had learned how to hide your terror well at this point, opting to chew on your lip as you took in the sight of him battered and bruised. Your eyes drank him in, like they always did. Your love for Takamura was always apparent and he enjoyed basking in it just as much as you enjoyed doting on him. He sat up a little straighter, putting his worked muscles on display for you. A blush rose to your cheeks at the show.

"Baby," he grinned, holding his hands out to you, too weak to stand, "I won!"

"Taka..." you whispered as you moved to sit beside him on the bench, "oh, look at you."

He chuckled softly as he placed his bandaged hands in yours, "I'm right here, I'm okay."

"You look really fucked up," you countered, and the room erupted into giggles.

Kamogawa patted your back, "We'll leave you alone for a minute." He laid his hand between Yagi's shoulders in a similar way before they made their exit, leaving you and Takamura alone together.

That was when the dam burst. Tears streamed down your cheeks for your wounded partner, the bottle beginning to overflow inside of you. Takamura let out a gentle, seemingly relieved sigh and wrapped his arms around you. You felt one of his hands hold the back of your head, strands of your hair sticking to the tape and gauze around his fingers. His thumb rubbed gentle circles at the top of your neck, the way he knew always soothed you. "Shh... shh, I'm okay." He whispered into your hair as his other hand smoothed your shirt down your back.

You held onto his sides, your face tucked into the crook of his neck as sobs racked your body. "I'm... I'm so sorry," you said shakily, "I was so afraid for you."

"Hey, hey, don't cry for me," he cooed as he stroked your hair, "I made it out alive."

You whimpered, but nodded your head once. You felt his lips press against your temple. You sucked in a breath. "You're the one who just got done fighting for his life. I should be holding you. But I can't!" You leaned back and away from Takamura as something inside of you snapped. "I can't do anything to save you! I never could!" You cried harder and bewildered, Takamura laid his hands on your thighs, hoping that would steady you. "I'm literally helpless! There's nothing I can do to help you. Nothing. Not now, not ever."

His body oddly relaxed at your words. His breathing paused for a moment as he looked down at you, caressing your cheek with the back of his index finger. "Want to know how you can help?" He asked calmly, moving that finger to twirl your hair around it.

Silent, you nodded, looking up at him adoringly.

Takamura could live in that gaze for all eternity. He smiled, wiping your tears with the backs of his knuckles before moving his hand in front of your lips. "Give me a kiss."

A faint smile found its way onto your lips. After a moment's hesitation, you held his large hand in yours and pressed a tender kiss to the back of his palm. Your cheeks blushed bright red as you held his hand, kissing it a few more times before holding the other and doing the same.

Takamura's hand weaved its way into your hair and he breathed out a husky whisper, your affections almost too much for him. "Feel better?"

You nodded, your answer being an equally tender kiss on his lips.
