HMMMMM bakugou being just. the absolute picture of sin.

he works overnight and comes home early in the morning, around 3 or 4 am or so, and you greet him and give him a kissy and ask how it all went. and even though it's still dark outside and he's been working for twelve hours—he's still coming off patrol, right ? so he's still got some energy left, and he eats something and takes a shower and winds down as you fall back to sleep.

and it's not until much later in the day that he wakes up, early afternoon, and you're kind of tiptoeing around so that he can get his much-needed rest. you slip into the closet of your bedroom for something and you think you're gonna get in and out without a sound, but his hearing is so attuned to just about anything and everything at this point.

so rough and raspy, he grunts out, "what're y'lookin' for?" and you whip around real fast and he's just—

half sitting up in bed, bare back leaning against the headboard. an arm behind his head, so that his bicep is tense and round and stone-solid. stretched like that, his obliques are more prominent, taut and rippling up the side of his ribcage. he must have gotten hot while passed out, as he usually does, because the comforter is all askew; one of his legs is bent, the fine hair a dark gold in the waning day; the other is hanging off the bed, lightly swinging as he watches you, and the blanket has come down enough that you can see the bulge of his thigh muscles beneath his stupid tiny black boxer briefs.

and he's just so. man. in every single way.

at most, izzys actions sped up badminton catching up with stede, but its made very clear that badminton wanted Stede dead well before this, and was willing to use whatever he could to find him- whos to say jackie wouldnt have cut a deal on her own? that any other pirate thats seen them being unsubtle in a port wouldn't take the opportunity to make a quick buck over a guy who is Nobody and holds no influence that could lead to any consequences for them?

in reality izzy is probably the only person who would receive negative repercussions to selling out stede, given his personal connection with ed- any other pirate would probably have gotten away unscathed, anonymous. they likely wouldnt have even been present like izzy was. izzy had personal stakes, anyone else would have taken the money and ran

the way i see it, with or without izzy the events of episode 10 probably would have happened in some degree, izzy just expedited the timeline

Okay so the hurt/comfort is like exactly my favourite things all in one post but the image got me thinking, because of the scars on Abram's back looking like lashing scars and I imagine that nevermore used that technique again when Abram is forced back there, so I wonder if Abram has issues around riding horses due to the sound of riding crops and if a lot of the language of riding sits in that tool/animal dynamic that it makes travel difficult.

Just some thoughts the post made me think, feel free to ignore :)

Covered in them and yes I’m technically the one responsible here and yes it still hurts both things can be true lmao. YEAH hearing a whip or crop would Not be good for his health I think you’re so right… I don’t have a read in my head on how the language would work or play into it but that is absolutely a possibility, there’s got to be like at least one thing that really gets to him and it’s terrible for travel. But it’s another one of those necessary evils so when they really have to, Day and/or Andrew would just have to let Abram dissociate for a while and no one feels good about it but how else are they gonna get around

Another dishonorable mention, because he would not fucking say that. I’m pretty sure Zoro has never been busy in his life. Aside from training, he’s a pretty easygoing guy. What he actually says is “Now isn’t that time for that.”

In its own way, that’s a much more grim line. Zoro understands he’s going to have to deal with Baroque Works eventually, but Luffy is a much bigger threat.

Normally, whenever Luffy looks intense and menacing we as readers get excited because something fun is about to happen and “the good guys” will win. But here, Zoro has been our POV character for the past several chapters so in this moment we’re led to feel like we’re on Zoro’s “side” over Luffy’s. So in this moment Luffy looks like an enemy.

And you kind of get a sense for just how terrifying it would be to have to face him for real.

vulture update: so many that apparently multiple people called the police, who showed up and proceeded to say "yup it's a dead dear, that's a lot of vultures, maybe try animal control? good luck" and then left. so that was cool.
