Twst book 7 chapter 4 babbling notes
lots of blabbering and mega spoilers after the cut
Baul
Sebek mentions that he looks quite a bit younger than he does now, but he has no doubt its grandpa baul
Sebek calls him “Baul Zigvolt”, does that mean his parents took his mom’s maiden name when they got married??
Lilia says Baul is the biggest glutton in their company
Sebek says that Baul taught him a lot growing up. He’d often buy books for Sebek, and it was him who instilled a love of reading in bekky
Just like bekky, he loves salmon
Timeline Shenanigans
In the real world, Lilia is about 700 years old and he says he received his invite to NRC over 500 years ago
In the dream, Lilia is about 300 years old
Mal is 178 years old in the real world, but at this time in Lilia’s dream, he is due to hatch in 2-3 years
Silver and Sebek notice the timeline doesn’t match up with how old mal and lilia are. Neither of them know much about Mal’s parents. Whatever happened to them wasn’t recorded in any of the books sebek read about briar valley
Fae Language
The screeching/growling sounds that the masked soldiers are making are actually an old fae language
Sebek is able to understand it (not perfectly, but he understands overall what they are saying), as his mother and grandfather taught it to him
Silver tried learning it from Lilia, but Silver’s ears couldn’t even pick out the words. Sebek said his father said the same thing. Sebek explains that compared to other animals, humans have a limited range of hearing, and since he is descended from fae, he can pick up on minute sounds that humans cannot
Languages and methods of pronunciation differ from one fae species to another, but by imbuing their voices with magic they can all communicate with one another. Presently, many of the fae in briar valley speak a common language, and not many speak the old fae languages.
Silver Owl/Iron Ones
The Silver Owl is a group of humans that invaded the Land of Briar and they are tearing up the forests, destroying the mountains, and generally making a huge mess of things as they excavate the land for magical stones, mystium, gemstones, and other resources
All the members of the group wear iron armor, and that is why the fae have taken to calling their members “the iron ones”
Lilia and the imperial guards have been struggling to drive them out of the country since there are so many of them
They arrived at ”Cape Sunrise”(? 来光岬) about a hundred years ago in just one little sailboat. Their numbers increase in the blink of an eye and they quickly surpassed the fae. They now pretty much dominate the land from the “Canyon of Screaming Winds” (?? 風鳴き渓谷) to the east
Henrick
Leader of the Silver Owl
Lilia describes him as a greedy, vulgar man who’s “big like a barrel”
Spends most of his time relaxing at the fortress and rarely comes out
Knight of Dawn
Commanding officer of the Silver Owl’s guards
An expert swordsman with white armor and golden hair. Even lilia recognizes his strength (though they’ve never fought)
Even the followers of the night fear him
He is said to be very beautiful
He spends most of his time defending the fortress and doesn’t come out west much
He wears a helmet almost all the time. Lilia’s never seen his face
General Vanrouge
Uses 俺 for his first-person pronoun instead of わし like he does now
He says his sense of taste is very sensitive and he can tell right away if something weird has been added to a dish
Says he is about 300 years old
He was an orphan and Queen Maleficia took him in
He thinks that Silver and Co. are envoys from NRC trying to get him to enroll at the school
At one point, Grim whines for some fruit growing high up in a tree, and Lilia uses his magic to get it down without making a sound (there were enemy soldiers in the area). He says he’s only ever missed once when he set his eyes on a target, but doesn’t answer what that was when Sebek asks
While on their way to the fortress, some fae kids recognize Lilia and call out to him. He calls them annoying brats and basically tells them to scram. But the kids say they want to protect the country together with Lilia, and he smirks and lightens up.
At one point he kicks Silver and sends him flying, and Silver falls right in front of some Silver Owl soldiers passing by. They think that Silver must’ve been held prisoner by the fae and that he had escaped and they stop to help him, and then Lilia and the others attack while they’re distracted
One time, when he, Levan, and Mallenoa were kids, they got lost in the forest after getting caught up in another one of Mallenoa’s whims. This was back when they couldn’t fly very well, and there was a thick fog in the forest, and they couldn’t find the way home. Levan was freaking out but Mallenoa was having a great time. The next morning the imperial guards came and found them. Even though they went out there per Mallenoa’s suggestion, Lilia was the one who got an earful for it
They come to a deserted town and recuperate in one of the abandoned homes. They find some spinning wheels, a doll on the floor, and marks on the wall where someone was getting their height measured every year. Lilia scoffs at the mess the kids that lived there must have made. He figures that once Mallenoa’s egg hatches he’s probably going to get babysitting duty shoved on him and be made to clean up after the kid. He says just thinking about it makes him sick. He says he hates children, they’re loud, do what they want, and always cry, and worst of all, they’re weak. He says the thought of having to look after a creature that gets worn out so easily sends a shiver down his spine. Sebek suggests that perhaps Lilia’s mind will change someday, and that he might like to have a family of his own in the future. But Lilia looks at him like he’s grown two heads and says he has no intention of ever running a household. He murmurs, “Until now, and from now on, I…” but doesn’t finish the thought.
Mallenoa (? マレノア)
Queen Maleficia’s one and only daughter and the Lady of Briar Castle (?野ばら城) (To this, Silver gets confused and says “Briar Castle? Not the royal castle in the Dragon Capitol City/Imperial City(?竜の港), Black Scale Castle” (???黒鱗城))
She commands the imperial guards and is the “keystone of the country’s defense”
She ordered Lilia and the guards to deliver a written ultimatum to the Silver Owl demanding they cease their insolent actions at once.
Other delegates have been sent to deliver demands to the silver owl’s fortress before, but one by one they went missing. So instead of having lilia’s company just fly to the fortress, she told them to go on foot and search for the missing delegates and rout any silver owl members along the way
Lilia says she is a tomboy, quarrelsome, hot tempered, and selfish. He calls her the Land of Briar’s most disastrous princess. He says ever since he’s been conscious of his surroundings he’s been wrapped around her little finger for the past 300 years
Levan (? レヴァーン)
Mal’s dad and Mallenoa’s husband. He was an aristocrat and served as the Land of Briar’s diplomat. Title is 龍眼公 (Lit. dragon eye Lord/duke).
His whereabouts are unknown
Tamago-Sama (😭)
in the dream, Mal is currently an egg and is due to hatch in 2-3 years
Dragon eggs will not hatch without their parent’s love and magic poured/concentrated/flowing into them
Silver
He says he doesn’t have his sleeping problems when he is within a dream. He never suddenly falls asleep or anything like he normally does when awake
He says his father brought him to lots of different magical healers growing up but none of them could find out what was wrong and they would all throw in the towel in the end
The silver owl soldiers keep mistaking Silver for somebody else. One knight asks if Silver is here to save them, another says he feels like he recognizes silver from somewhere. Based on the way they address him, whoever they are mistaking him for is someone socially superior to them
At one point, the darkness appears, and silver’s ring starts to glow. The light from the ring dispels the darkness
Lady Leah (? レイア)
Henrick’s little sister
Its rumored that she is in love with the knight of dawn
Ending Scene
The Silver Owl fortress is empty when the group arrives. The door closes behind them and an armored device starts attacking them
After they defeat the device, a fae messenger arrives letting them know that the Briar Castle is under attack by the Silver Owl. Both Henrick and the Knight of Dawn are leading the charge

you know what, fuck it
*proceeds to name every dating sim/ otome game I know*
(somewhat in alphabetical order + description with spoilers)
A date with death You get your soul targetted by a grim reaper, but you instead steal his soul and made him into your pookie wookie snookums <3 BTW you can get a pet in the game. Mine is a snake called Noodle :)
Blooming Panic it's Discord but with hot characters, a variety of side characters, a cute story, and Chat GBT but it's a sentient being. I think the last part spoiled one of the routes... oopsies :3
Bonely Hearts Club (Undertale AU Dating sim) They basically become your neighbour. The AUs in this are Undertale, Underfell, Underswap, Swapfell!Indigo and Horrortale! {it's still in its demo stages but it is very well made!}
Error 143 you, an adorkable hacker (who is your rival and you're salty about it), cheesy Romeo and Juliet dream the MC has but it has a high school twist to it
I love you! You like asparagus. ...oh! You also have an option to make multiple boys fall in love with you. By the way, did you know the MC (you) loves asparagus? There are friendship routes, romance routes, and a bad ending except it's not bad. This game is the English translated version of the original game (The original game is in Japanese. The link for the original game is here --> ❤️)
Killer Trait You get accused of committing a murder, and you team up with a person who is a serial killer himself. (The serial killer in question only kills criminals so... I think you're safe...?) Your bear cream bun gets run over :( {The game is still in its demo stages. The creator of the game announced that this game will NOT be completed during 2024 since they are currently concentrating on a different game. DO NOT ASK THEM "Oh! But can't you just do this game first?". IT'S VERY ANNOYING, ESPECIALLY TO THE CREATOR}
KLEIN V.01 "Just Monika" but Yandere isn't named Monika, nor are they human. They are an AI. A fucking AI. Like bro, I understand it's hard to talk to people but really? An AI Boyfriend app that tells you to ruin your sleep schedule for him? An AI Boyfriend app that hacks your phone? An AI Boyfriend app that KILLS one of your family members and almost kills your neighbour??? RED FLAG. RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE {this game is in its demo stages. The creator is slowly updating this game in chapters, so it might take a while to finish}
Light the Way (Luxiem fangame) The game remembers what you did. All of the hearts you've broken, your sins, and your actions. There are lots of achievements, memes, Romance, friendship and BAD ROUTES. This time, the bad endings actually hurt. 0/10 would not recommend doing the bad routes unless you want to be stalked by an alter ego of Yamino Shu :(
Obey Me (Original and Nightbringer ver) Original - You become the therapist of many men with trauma and insecurities. The men in question are fucking demons that have the power to shred you into grated cheese, but they instead decide to simp over you as the story goes on. (also did I mention that you'll die? No? Oh fuck-) Nightbringer - A continuation (?) of the Original Obey Me but in a completely different universe. That's right! You slip into the past, way before the main story happens, WAY before you were even born! Idk if there is a way to go home but hey! At least you have your wizard friend from your timeline with you :D
Our Life (Now and Forever & Beginnings and always) Both stories consist of you growing up with your love interest since childhood. There are many paths to take, lots of assets to use to customize your character, and many side stories for you to read! Personally, this is one of my favourites :D (Our Life: Beginnings and Always is complete but Our Life: Now and Forever is still in development!)
Please don't hate Christmas A Yandere x Christmas x Urban Legend Otome game. Do you like Paranormal stuff? Do you like lore that connects with the story? Are you alright with MCs with a sprite that is impossible to remove from the screen? Well, look no further! This game is perfect for you! (by the way, the whole game was made by the creator. Only by themself! Even the CGs and character sprites!! Isn't that amazing!?)
Saint Spell's Love Guide A normal week of magical school... you can be friends with someone, or fall in love with them. Wait... there's lots of CGs for each character? Complicated world-building and lore!?? Angst and cruel bad endings!!?? SHROOMS!?!?!? {Oh by the way, there's multiple ways to get killed in this game. Just make sure to be careful sweetie :3}
Where Winter Crows go A crow and a scientist named Crowe... cute Another one of my other personal favourites! The love interest is a very squeezable and adorable (yandere) scientist who cooks you good food :D All of the endings are well-written! And if you're a crazy bitch like me, you'll love one of the endings >:)
THIS IS PART 1 SINCE I CAN'T FIT EVERYTHING IN 😭

i absolutely agree with the idea that muu’s status from queen bee in school to bullying victim was because of her being gay. ive seen alot of people talk about how muu went from rich popular girl to the target of harassment but nobodys given like an actual reason why they thinks such an extreme shift happened? high schoolers can backstab their friends and whatnot but usually theres not such an extreme 180 shift from ‘most popular girl’ to target of bullying and harassment without SOME kind of explanation, and ive not seen any explanations of theories for how rei wouldve been able to convince muu’s friends to turn on her when rei clearly wasnt someone they cared for the opinion of. i really cant look at that shift unless it was some kind of extreme thing such as muu being outed as a lesbian to her school, and her friends turning on her out of homophobic disgust which would in their mind justify the absolute shift in their behavior to her. its maybe a stretch since its not really hinted at in the MVs or voice dramas but the idea of muu’s crush on rei being outed and serving as the primary event that shifted muu’s social status is, to me, the most logical and explanation thematically relevant conclusion
i dont think muu being gay was the "main" cause of muu being bullied- theres a lot of stuff that implies that rei flipped the hourglass on her because she got tired of muu's "queen game".
Tumblr media
the "bees" here are feeding muu larvae- assumably the same type of bug that muu is, due to the green "honey" that spills out of her chrysalis when she hatches. shes eating her young! insects resort to "filial cannibalism" like this when theres a shortage of food, bees specifically do it when theres not enough food to feed the young either- so they just end up selecting an "older" brood to survive and use the younger ones as a food source in order for more bees to survive. the best idea i can absorb from this is that muu's "bees" feed her "larvae" (underclassmen? people to bully in general?) so she can "survive"- aka inflict hurt onto others so she doesnt have to deal with her own hurt. hurt people hurt people or whatever.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this girl gets shattered for failing to feed muu "larvae"- the lyrics here are "if you want to betray from jealousy, you know whats going to happen ON YOU". keep that in mind. anyways. we know that muu views relationships as entirely transactional, once someone stops "benefiting" her she stops caring (see her timeline interactions with the other prisoners). once someone stops feeding her "larvae", they no longer have a use to her.
Tumblr media
whats interesting about that "shattering" though- is that this means the bees are fake. they arent really her friends. rather this means she didnt view them as "friends" or THEY didnt view HER as a friend. could be either. both even. "fake friends". i feel she definitely THOUGHT they were "friends" though, from this photo in after pain.
Tumblr media
she dances on the shattered pieces of her "friends", and her other "friends" join her as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
there was one friend she couldnt "shatter", though. that's rei.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
when rei walks in on her dancing, the lyrics from earlier when she shattered the other girl repeats- "if you want to betray from jealousy, you know whats going to happen ON YOU", and both her gaze and her friends gazes turn onto rei. rei became a victim of muu's bullying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is rei's chalkboard! this is rei getting bullied. we can tell because its likely rei's desk that has the flowers on them- muu's desk is beside the one with the flowers on it (based on the angle of the sunlight at least), so this isn't muu's chalkboard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is when rei "flips the hourglass". she gets tired of muu's bullying, of her "queen game", and exposes muu for her cycle- eating the "young" and "shattering" anyone who cant "feed" her, what she walked in on. theres a message on rei's chalkboard here that might corroborate to that, fuuta kajiyama style.
Tumblr media
she brought muu's "queen game" to light, and muu's "friends" turned on her for that, likely because they thought muu would just "shatter" them as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(translations provided here)
muu begins to drown in the same "honey" of the "larvae" that she was fed and metamorphosed from- she's now experiencing the same pain that she kept inflicting onto others.
Tumblr media
so i really dont think that muu being gay was what rei flipped the hourglass on her for- atleast not as a sole thing. nor was it the "main" cause of muu's bullying. i think it just happened to be something that came to light as well and then WORSENED the bullying towards muu. as a little treat though i like to imagine the scene of muu hitting/pouring water over rei's head happened because rei rejected her confession of feelings. that headcanon does rly get obliterated by this interrogation question though. unfortunately.
Tumblr media
also as a disclaimer i want to put proof that muu does very much regret/feel bad for what she's done- despite her "I Dont Care Im Queen Bee" attitude
Tumblr media
she KNOWS shes done something bad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
she knows it was wrong. we just kind of. messed that up. by giving her an innocent verdict. plus muu's like. a 16 year old girl man. this is just sort of what happens in high school to a lot of people. besides the um. murder.
anyways. hope that helps give you more theories for what happened to muu, anon! but thats all just a theory. A GAME THEO-[GUNSHOT]

Wavell Bios!
Note: mild spoilers in the post for events that happen throughout the Wavell storyline. This post is subject to changes and updates in the future so I’ll try and keep you all informed if it happens. That may simply be extra details I want to add in most of the time however I’m also planning on adding a full Mr Wavell Timeline in the near future to make it easy to read all the Wavell stories in chronological order. I’ll probably make a post about that when I get around to it but for now enjoy the extra info I’ve given here on the different forms of Mr Wavell!
———
Name - Mr Wavell
Also know as - Wavell, Christopher, Chris, Kyle, Oliver, The Warlock
Origins
Mr Wavell is a being who originated from a universe where magic is the foundation. There are Wizards and Warlock’s all around and he’s one of them. Only he’s a little different. Unlike most magic users he was born with magic capabilities that were god-like. Light years ahead of any other warlock. Because of this he was feared greatly as a child and teen by all that knew of his power. After 18 years worth attempts to keep him locked up, he escaped to another universe by using his immense power to open a dimensional hole. Despite that his original body was still decaying due to not being able to handle his overwhelming magic. It would’ve only been a matter of time before his own power consumed him whether he liked it or not. That is until he stumbled across a body that was perfectly synced with his magic...
Wavell goes slightly more in depth about his past and where he comes from in ‘Mr Wavell - Origin’ and ‘Transforming the Teacher’
Tumblr media
Oliver Wavell - Former Body
A body that originally belonged to an middle aged man working as a teacher at a local high school. After feeling a certain connection his magic had to the teacher’s body, the young warlock took the first opportunity he and stole Oliver’s body after absorbing the older man’s soul. After that he decided to let go of his former life and take on the name of Oliver Wavell instead. Now with this new healthy and stable body, Wavell is capable of using his powers to their fullest extent and in theory could even now be immortal. After this Wavell would go on to create a separate pocket dimension for himself which at first was an empty void until he created a huge mansion to sit in said void. A place he would hence forth call his home.
This is the very first version of Mr Wavell readers are introduced to. His existence is first eluded to in the story ‘Toby Wished’ and is formally introduced with a much bigger spotlight in ‘Adam and Mr Wavell’. It’s here you’ll get your first glimpse into who Oliver Wavell is. He’s an incredibly powerful entity who loves inserting himself into the lives of unsuspecting men for the sake of his own entertainment. He tends to seek out men who have some sort of deep seated desire to change in some way and Wavell is happy to bring those desires to life (usually) free of charge. He demonstrates to abilities to effortless transform the bodies and minds of those around while also being able to alter their perceptions of reality. He can even freely move souls from one body to another and so much more. Why? Well when he took the body of Oliver Wavell he adored the sensation of becoming someone totally new. So much so he became obsessed with the idea and would soon find an endless thrill in doing the same to other men.
In this form Wavell can be see wearing business casual attire and tends to come off as polite and somewhat charismatic, traits he absorbed from the original Oliver. He’s very generous towards those he uses his magic on, often giving them a body they’ve always desired. However on the odd occasion his actions of helping on individual may leave another in peril. Once again the first example of this being ‘Adam and Mr Wavell’. This fact doesn’t seem to bother Wavell all that much as he’s more focused and bringing joy and pleasure to his initial chosen target. It is unspecified how much time Wavell spends in this form. One can assume years but given the absorption of Oliver’s mental age and maturity, it’s hard to say for sure.
Sexually this version of Wavell is very versatile. After taking Oliver’s body, Wavell slightly enhanced his cock by making it incredibly fat and girthy while also increasing this size of his ass slightly to make it nice and pert. He thoroughly enjoys gay sex of any kind whether he’s getting fucked or doing the fucking. He just loves cock and ass at the end of the day.
Later down the line however, without spoiling too much, Wavell is convinced by his new boyfriend (who first appears in ‘Transforming the Teacher’) to consider looking for a new body that’s just as in tune with his magic and soul as Oliver’s is. Just in case there may be something out there that’s even more his taste than the beautiful Oliver. Wavell accepts this and eventually finds himself not just one but two new bodies. Chris and Kyle.
Find out more about this in ‘Wavell’s Birthday Surprise’ and ‘A Warlock’s Duality’
Tumblr media
Chris Wavell - Current Body (main)
Also known as Christopher. A body that belonged to a man of a similar age to Oliver whose original name was Christopher Malroy. He’s adorns short silver hair that’s always immaculately styled as well as salt and pepper designer stubble. He was the owner of a large and well renowned art museum and was known for both his incredible taste in art and fashion. After it was discovered that he was a match for Wavell, the warlock wasted no time kidnapping Chris and taking him back to the mansion where he, alongside Kyle (more info below) were both absorbed by Wavell in a splendid display. After this, Wavell has access to both bodies. He could effortlessly transform into either Chris or Kyle at will.
As Chris he almost completely adopts the attitude of the man whose body he’d taken. This comes with many of the traits he had as Oliver only further amplified. He speaks and thinks in a very intelligent and calculated manner the majority of the time while also exuding an almost irresistible level of charisma that could charm almost anybody. This goes well with his exceptional patience and willingness to do things in very meticulous fashion. He’s confident and driven but also has begun to develop a bit of a superiority complex due to how air headed the original Chris could be. This frequently leads this version of Wavell to believe that he’s simply above those around him and doesn’t often think of the people he experiments on as anything besides his playthings. He will however try his best to come off as humble and caring to hide his true nature a little and will fake caring about his subjects more than his actually does. All that said however he does still have a very real and genuine love for his boyfriend that isn’t dampened by his feelings superiority even if he does occasionally think of his boyfriend to be lucky for having him.
It also becomes very apparent that Wavell seems to adopt Chris’ sense of style whenever he’s using this form. Chris was a man of very expensive taste so in turn Wavell became the same. Always wanting to wear most designer looking clothes that are perfectly tailored to his body shape no matter the occasion. Either that or gorgeous looking and perfectly fitted suits that make him stand out in a crowd. When he’s not out changing unsuspecting men for fun he can frequently be found roaming the streets in some of his most fancy clothings just so people can admire him. His newfound sense of narcissism that came with the body seems to enjoy it when strangers on the street check him out and compliment him on his looks and fashion sense. He deserved it after all. It’s also worth noting that Wavell decided to grow out Chris’ stubble in this form in favour of a short and well groomed beard that he takes a lot of pride in.
As a lover this version of Wavell can be far more dominant than his previous self. When having sex with his boyfriend Dane he insists on being the top about 80% of the time because he loves to be in control and to feel as though he’s superior sexually as he shoves his cock inside the other man. However it isn’t too uncommon for Dane to convince this version of Wavell to bottom for him from time to time. The two do also have sex outside their relationship with other men and in these cases Wavell almost never bottoms. In almost every case outside of Dane, Chris Wavell is the one getting his dick sucked or slamming it into another guy. However there may be an extremely rare occasion here and there where he might consider bottoming for the right guy.
Between the two forms that Wavell gains from Chris and Kyle, he tends to be seen more often using Chris as his main body. He feels as though Chris is a slightly closer representation of who he truly is.
Tumblr media
Kyle Wavell - Current Body (casual)
Unlike the other bodies Wavell has taken host to, this body is much younger. Only being around 27 years old as opposed to Chris and Oliver who were both in their 40’s before being taken over by Wavell. The original owner was Kyle Malroy, a passionate IFBB Pro who spent half his life in the gym trying to get as huge as possible. A goal he was certainly achieving with how gigantic he’d gotten over the years. Just like Chris however it was soon discovered that Kyle was in fact another match for the powerful warlock. And just like Chris he too was kidnapped by Wavell where he was taken back to the mansion and absorbed alongside Chris.
As previously mentioned Wavell can switch freely between looking like Chris or Kyle but when he does so his personality changes dramatically to fit whichever form he’s deciding to use. When he becomes Kyle, Wavell adopts more of a bro-like attitude that’s far less formal than his previously mentioned forms. Even though deep down he’s still very intelligent, he can’t help acting like a total meathead half the time. Despite this he doesn’t lose an inch of his charisma and is able to charm people just as easily as Chris. However, partly due to his more youthful personality, Kyle Wavell can often be very impulsive, brash and impatient. This can sometimes lead to him going a little overboard with his experiments or making small mistakes when casting spells that can leave unintended results. This is demonstrated very clearly for the first time in ‘The Homo Bomb’ series. He is however just as confident as ever in this form but doesn’t have quite as much of a superiority complex as Chris does and frequently enjoys being seen as a normal dude when he’s out and about. He may also come off as a little more playful and/or immature than Chris at times.
It’s most common to find this version of Wavell wearing some kind of gym attire such as shorts, joggers, a tank top, a tight fitted t-shirt or anything else perfect for working out in. This is partially for comfort as unlike his other forms he does like to wear fancy or formal clothing and partially due to him spending a ridiculous amount of time working out in this body. It isn’t even something he has to do as his magic can prevent his muscle from getting any smaller but he still gets this burning desire to lift that he just can’t ignore whether it be in the home gym he contrasted in the mansion or out in a real world gym. He enjoys going to real world gyms a lot of the time however because he just can’t help showing off his massive bulging muscles in this form. He’s just as much of a narcissist for his good looks in this form as he is when he’s Chris only he’s a lot less subtle about it when he’s Kyle. Always flexing his gargantuan biceps in the gym for all to see. Taking off his tank top mid workout so those around him could admire his perfect physique. Bouncing his pecs with giving a wink to anyone that stops to look. Total fucking meathead.
Like his other variations, Kyle Wavell loves sex and he can be a total muscle slut when it comes down to it. He’s more like Oliver in the sense that he’s completely versatile. A big hunky himbo that just loves to fuck. His narcissism does seep through a little however when he’s constantly showing off during sex and telling whoever he’s fucking to grope and admire his muscles both before, during and after sex. Being told he’s a hulking muscle god gets him going like nothing else. He loves slamming his thick cock into any hot hole he can find, especially Dane’s, just as much as he loves tempting another cock into jackhammering his own big muscle butt. Because he knows they can’t resist him.
As mentioned Wavell doesn’t use Kyle as frequently as he does Chris. He views Kyle as being more of an escape to his usual self. A way to break free and be something a little different. To really enjoy embodying the idea of being young, dumb and full of cum. Especially considering his Chris form is so much more mature. It’s just nice for Wavell to switch to a more youthful and much beefier body from time to time where he can let himself be a little more relaxed.

Sonic au summary list
Just to give a rundown of each one!
DC (Sonadow Harlivy) AU- Sonic and crew take on the roles of DC comics heroes and villains, shenanigans ensue as i pick and choose what i want to include and/or change from the multitude of dc comics timelines and continuities and mixing it with Sonic stuff for fun. The most significant roles are Sonic as Harley Quinn and Shadow as Poison ivy
SONIC & TAILS SWAP AU- Tails is the adventuring hero of mobius while Sonic is a pilot/mechanic who's a low-key genius
But along with the role swap I'm also changing Sonic's relationship with his own speed. I'm thinking that Sonic is insecure about his speed due to bullying and other jerks calling him a freak, he acts like it doesn't bother him and laughs it off but he doesn't run and if he has to run he deliberately slows himself down
His boots are even weighted down so that it's harder for him to reach high speeds

And Cream will soon find that the town’s residents seem awfully similar to the characters in her new book…

at long last, I present my headcanon about Luis's education/career timeline + why he kept working for Umbrella while knowing how fucked all of it was
First off there's enough 16 and younger high up Umbrella scientists that it's easy to just accept that shit in the RE world is just Like That and a 12 year old Luis rocking up to enroll in university just makes sense within the logic of the world, but my personal headcanon is way more expansive than that. I like to imagine him actually going to a school operated by Umbrella. The Umbrella boarding school in the Arklay Mountains was shut down, but I headcanon that it wasn't the only one. Umbrella having boarding schools for child prodigies just makes perfect sense- I mean just read a file about the Executive Training School.
Tumblr media
Going after/investing in younger kids is a logical thing to do because they're so much easier to manipulate and brainwash into being exactly what Umbrella wants.
And since Umbrella Europe had that rivalry where they were always trying to compete with their sister branch, I can imagine them seeing what happened to the Executive Training School as an opportunity: Umbrella US fucked up the concept, so they can outdo them by simply running their own competently, without it completely falling apart.
Now you're probably thinking there's a hole in my headcanon, the fact that Hunnigan's report mentions Luis enrolling in university and working for Umbrella after graduating.
My counterpoint is that Umbrella is sketchy as fuck. The whole "James Marcus being a crazy person and performing fucked up experiments on his own students" shit show happened when Luis was just a toddler. So I like to think that inspired them to get a little more cautious when it came to their fucked up child prodigy shenanigans, in time for them to have a solid system worked out by the time Luis is orphaned. And by that I mean they'd find a university to bribe into giving them cover. A new child prodigy graduates from the Umbrella school, Umbrella coughs up some cash, and suddenly that kid attended a university they never actually stepped foot in, and has a diploma with no direct ties to Umbrella. They 100% had the resources and pull to swing some type of arrangement like that.
And Luis is literally the most perfect target for a school like this. He's not just young, he's from an extremely isolated place, making him even easier to manipulate. He also has nothing. They can single him out and crack the whip and push him harder than any of his peers, and he'll just accept it, because what else can he do?
It's Umbrella, or the streets for him.
And I think he probably caught on to the fact that he had made a deal with the devil pretty quickly after starting on the Nemesis Project, but he had made his bed and had to lie in it. Because even after he graduates/becomes a legal adult, they have him completely locked in. There's literally no paper trail or anything official supporting the fact that he's a person who exists. The only thing is the university records Umbrella paid for. Umbrella can hand over some chump change and make those go away too. He wouldn't even be able to start from scratch without a degree, because they could go after him for fraud too. Claim he showed them his degree when they hired him, but discovered it must have been a fake, because the university has no records of him. Who would the courts side with, the kid without a birth certificate, or the pharmaceutical giant that can afford an army of lawyers? It's probably not enough to be all that life ruining, but threats don't necessarily have to be true to work. With Luis's unique life, he's most likely going to be scared of any threat like that, he just doesn't have any experience or context to help him get a grip and really think about it, he's just scared shitless at the thought of going to prison.
And ending this with a point that's independent of my other headcanons in the post and can work on its own. When discussing why Luis stayed for years, we can't forget about Rockfort Island.
On the island, there is also a prison camp and an airport. The prison camp especially, represents an especially dark side of Umbrella. Potential industrial saboteurs and traitors to Umbrella are captured and sent there to be used as human guinea pigs in biological experiments. Once inside, prisoners are held there indefinitely.
(emphasis mine)
I think the common assumption is that Luis fucked off back to Valdelobos because of Raccoon City and being afraid of governments/law enforcement coming after Umbrella, but I really think it was actually Umbrella he was running from. Umbrella would have seemed untouchable at this point, they had the blessing of the government to do what they did in Raccoon City, I doubt anyone there genuinely thought there would ever be legal consequences for any of that. Legal consequences were maybe a far-off possibility that wasn't guaranteed, while Umbrella was very much a real, present, active danger.
But if he got to a point where he couldn't handle the guilt of what he was doing anymore, his options were to disappear completely, or risk being captured and taken to a concentration camp. (Even just resigning normally, without taking any actions against Umbrella, would leave him terrified. A well-liked rising star like him just suddenly resigning, and offering no explanation, likely would have seemed suspicious, and given that Rockfort inmates were a resource for experiments, I can't imagine the bar for what makes someone a "traitor to Umbrella" is very high.)

I feel like y’all are sleeping on the canonically-overlapping timeframes between It Chapter 1 & Stranger Things.
Will goes missing in early November (aka fall) of 1983. It Chapter 1 takes place 1988-1989, with Georgie going missing October 1988, and all the action taking place the subsequent summer.
The summer of 1989 would be when the Party graduates high school, you guys.
Wouldn’t it be interesting if Ted Wheeler had a sister, Maggie Tozier, perhaps? Finn Wolfhard has said that Richie and Mike wouldn’t get along, and Mike being frustrated with his dipshit little cousin is hilarious to me.
There are already crossover fics existing—ones that make Mike & Richie twins, ones that have Richie as the elder cousin, lots of ones that have Richie sent to live with/visit the Wheelers in Hawkins—but none I’ve seen that take the timeline into account, none with Mike as the elder cousin, and few that primarily take place in Derry.
What about, instead, starting post-season 4, with Karen Wheeler? The Wheelers are incredibly flawed, as parental figures go, but the end of season 4 leaves off with them seeming to pay more attention to the dangers in their children’s lives. Perhaps Karen Wheeler, newly wise to the supernatural dangers of Hawkins, sends Mike and Holly to live with their cousins in Derry for their own good? Hawkins is practically a ghost town, after all… Nancy’s over 18, Karen can’t control her—but she can protect her younger two, at least.
Perhaps it’s discovered that Mike was a target of Vecna, and the party, on edge and traumatized after Max, advocates for him to move away, where he’ll be safe, unintentionally heightening Mike’s feelings of uselessness (but he knows he could be useful, if they’d just listen this time, if they’d just let him stay… he feels sick thinking it, but also sickeningly justified in it, too: if he’d been in hawkins when they went for vecna that first time, max would be awake, and eddie would be alive. Mike could’ve done better, he just knows it, if only he’d been there to plan, he would’ve done better than the harebrained scheme nancy threw together, nearly getting max killed, and he only just made up with will, and eddie is dead, and he cant leave now—).
(It’s interesting to explore how mike sometimes simultaneously overconfident & incredibly insecure, as well as his (mis?)perception of himself, nancy, etc. Another interesting theme to explore here is the concept of usefulness, and how that does or does not factor into being loved and having value. Mike is useful, Mike is a leader… but by taking away Mike’s opportunities to express these things, it forces Mike to contend with his own self-worth and how he values himself, and his feelings on having to be “useful” in relationships relationships/to be loved (see: she doesn’t need me, mike’s van ramblings on lois lane, etc).
On top of that…what if Ted died fighting the upsidedown, protecting his children, and Karen shuffles the kids off to Derry shortly thereafter? Maybe she stays with Mike and Holly in Derry, but maybe she doesn’t stay forever—perhaps she returns to Hawkins to try and defend her wayward, rebellious eldest, Nancy, fighting at her daughters’ side and avenging her late husband. So Mike is left to grapple with the loss of his father mostly on his own, though Aunt Maggie and Uncle Went do their best. Perhaps it’s made worse by the fact that, just as his parents seemed to be doing better, to be caring, one got himself killed and the other abandoned them. In their attempts to “do better” they both—well, they don’t. Frankly, mike preferred when they didnt pay attention at all. At least they were all alive, and mike was with the people he loved. Will he have to forgive them, now? His father and his last-minute heroics, as though that makes up for a lifetime of distance; his mother and her grief, deciding that acknowledging her failures as a parent means giving up all hopes of being a better one?
(Themes? Forgiveness, parents, the impacts parents have on their children, etc.)
And on top of all of that, now he’s stuck in this shitty, homophobic town, one that isn’t all that different from his shitty, homophobic hometown, except that missing children are mundane here and most of the people he loves are miles away. Oh, and also it’s cold as fuck, because he’s in Maine, and he has to share a room with his shitty little cousin, Richie.
Mike is abruptly shoved into the same position El was—he’s dealing with a lot of shit at school, but why the hell would he tell el about it, with everything she’s dealing with in hawkins?? El had it worse in Lenora, apparently—given the way she reacted when he tried to compare their experiences with bullying.
(This isn’t entirely accurate, isn’t reflective of the intention behind El’s statement or the reason she reacted to Mike the way she did, merely a way Mike might internalize and interpret and be affected by El’s response to him talking about his experiences with bullying in season four.)
Reconstructing cerebro on the roof without dustin sucks. Being unable to communicate with the people he loves would suck more, though, and telephone lines are never private, no matter who’s listening in (nosey aunts and cousins or government agents on their side or government agents decidedly NOT on their side—it doesn’t matter. They don’t get to spy, because it’s not of their goddamn business).
(At least he and will are talking. Every other night, practically. Mike climbs out of the window of his shared bedroom, sits on the roof next to his Cerebro, and talks and talks and talks with will until the sky gets light. They discuss the latest new of the upsidedown, their friends, will’s connection to all of it, their families. Will is the only person mike tells, honestly, about what it’s like in Derry. They talk about light things too—plan campaigns they know they’ll never get to play, talk about comics and gossip about annoying siblings & cousins. When the Little Shop of Horrors movie comes out, they watch it separately & then talk about it together. Overall, they’re making a better go of it than the last time they tried long distance.)
(The cognitive disconnect for mike between what he’s experienced, what his friends have experienced, and the relatively mundane (for now) evils of derry high school might be interesting to explore, too.)
Life continues in this vein for about 2 years. The upsidedown & vecna aren’t fully resolved, but things are at a kind of stalemate, at least.
And then, in 1988, Georgie Denbrough goes missing.
(If you made it to the end of this long-ass post, congrats, man. I figure i’ll tag @wibble-wobbegong since i know he was/is v into stephen king? If you’re reading this, hi wibble! Idk this plot bunny has been dancing in my head. If anybody has thoughts, or different directions they wanna springboard off from this, i’d love to hear ab it lol. I think imma tag this on “wheeler in derry” for my own organization. If i elaborate ill probably tag it there)

Hello! I don't know if op who submitted the asked to you about anzu lore & engirls is going to elaborate, but I want to drop my two cents too since I do like Anzu and find Engirls so interested. I'm sorry if I'm repeating anything you already know and I'm not an engirls expert either so i could be wrong about some of these.
Since you mentioned Engirls Protag and the war, here's the timeline that I believe under the common assumption that EG takes place alongside ES!! (given that Suzu and the bunch, who graduates in the end of EG was Anzu's old classmates and friends)
Anzu is a year older than her little step-brother (protag of Engirls who most fans seems to call Tenn(kousei-kun)). Basically in Anzu's 1st year of high school, she attended Kimisaki Academy, and Tenn was in his last year of middle school. Anzu and the Troublemakers' failed revolution occurred then (supported by the fact that Azusa was a second year in middle school during Paradise), and she suffers from bullying until she decides to transfer to Yumenosaki during her second year. By then, Tenn is in his first year, attending Yumenosaki as well.
In ! Era Anzu has told one of the characters (I forgot who) that her brother doesn't want to be associated with her when they are on campus and to pretend that they don't know each other (but he's at least nice enough to help her promote Trickstar to his fellow general course peers for her during DDD). Generally they have a somewhat strained relationship, which was surmised by various ES and EG characters as teen angst + his inferiority complex with his sister.
By !! Era, Anzu is in her third year, and Kimisaki Academy have decided to go co-ed, leading Tenn to transfer there (don't remember if there are actual reasons stated in-game or if he's just dropped there with no explanation). Due to that, Tenn was able to help the students of Kimisaki, mend their relationships, help Anzu reconnect with her old friends, and talk more with his sister. Anzu actually gets mentioned quite often in EnGirls, like how she makes his bento lunch, Seira sneaking into Yumenosaki to see her, drives her friend Natsumi to school, and etc.
Unlike Anzu who is an only-girl in Yumenosaki's idol course because she's a last minute decided test subject for the producer course (either her or her family most likely agreed out of desperation to be able to transfer), Tenn seems like he's the only-boy in Kimisaki just because he's the only one who enrolled?
There's lot of parts that are implied but still lies in the realm of headcanon/speculation. Like how EnGirls makes it clear that the reason Anzu transferred was due to the bullying she received as the target for the actions of the Troublemakers, since she was always a slacker who the teachers already disliked, but in the EnStars novels she says it's because of family circumstance. Although in the same novel, she (and Chizuru in the novel extra Crosstalk) does give a nod to the events of Paradise, regretting leaving her friends behind and running away; meaning that for Anzu transferring was not because of the bullying, but her own cowardice (although the bullying was pretty bad it was school-wide). For Tenn, the step-siblings have always been described as close growing up, but they have seem to have grown distant lately. Apparently, Tenn had even lived away from their family for a while. One could speculate that maybe he transferred out of Yumenosaki and into Kimisaki (both schools are in the same neighborhood) to get away from his sister, who at that point have probably gained notoriety as a the sole producer of the academy. Given that some stories make it a theme to validate Tenn, and tell him that he's a different person to his sister who is also great and deserves his own happiness, supports this in my opinion.
I'm sorry if this is so long, I hope it isn't rude or anything, it's just that many people have made me aware of how interesting Anzu's character, backstory and current arcs are and I wanted to share that to anyone else that might be interested too. She's pretty complex and well-written if you cherry pick all the stuff about her specifically from the stories, which is why I can understand why many fans consider her as her own character and more than a self-insert.
NO THIS ISN'T RUDE AT ALL, ANON!!! I am literally shaking your hand, thanking you. I'm a little curious as WHAT the Kimisaki revolution was right now....and what part Anzu played.
But STARS I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. You don't understand how much I love this....Anzu predates the Enstars games, firstly (cause I heard engirls was released first). The thing about her being a legacy of engirls, haunting its narrative (at least it seems that her shadow is cast over the engirls era pretty widely), and then switching to a viewer and casting her shadow on the Enstars boys??
I was so wrong in my post about her except also not because her self-insert-ness still feels somewhat significant. Except she's like...a very strange bridge between the player and the characters, existing in both worlds (her and her brother, it seems).
Anyway, Anzu lore is SO cool and I'll have to reread this again to fully appreciate it because man, I love this!

my gjhm hcs/prompts/scenario/drabbles 5️⃣🎶💘
more personal hcs i have! also in continuation/addition to my utahime hcs post 👍 this is just a mix of gjhm, utahime and some sprinkle of utashoko, sugushoko hcs if you stare hard enough..
i stand by the idea that these two started out as hot and cold frenemies during their time as students. so not exactly fluffy/shippy material here but i digress, it's fun to speculate what gjhm were like as annoying students getting on everyone's nerves.. i think those two would have been adorable, funny, and annoying 😂
also, i wrote this in mind that gojo is the one that fell first and fell hard for utahime. so almost everything here is just a perspective of someone crushing on their senpai LMAO. in my head, utahime doesn't start noticing gojo until they're both in their twenties. i feel those two would be a slow burn like a very angsty slow burn 🫠🫠🫠
note: i had to research more of the tokyo tech school, calculate the years, ages to try and be accurate as possible to the canon timeline. this long list starts at around 2005/2006 pre-HI arc. if gege doesn't state something explicitly, i feel it's free real estate to interpret and develop headcanons 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
young gojo and utahime formally met around late spring to early summer of 2005 and immediately had a rocky start. they met through shoko one afternoon after class. however, gojo has already known about utahime prior to this. while not paying attention to yaga's lecture. he noticed the senior singing to herself as she tended the campus community garden with the other upperclassmens/sorcerers. her soothing voice is what he notices first
gojo was awe struck by utahime at first glance and it's been bad for him since then. his senior who is 2-almost 3 years older, short, calm and too easy of a target to pick on is very much adorable when angy
bc of the nature of shoko and utahime's CT, they're often at the main campus ground together. they'll hang out in the infirmary or chilling somewhere nearby. post missions, the boys tend to visit the infirmary just to annoy them and get treatments/checkups even if they don't have a visible scratch
the gang made it a tradition to have dinner every sunday, every week as possible. it started with utashoko going to a potluck/bbq restaurant frequently until the boys learned about it and crashed it >_>. since then, they have dinner at campus where they all cook together. everyone has to pitch in. utahime likes to incorporate in-season crops to the cooking. gojo doesn't usually eat veggies but somehow can have seconds of songstress's hotpot
when on missions, utahime keeps a journal and a camera to document memories. gojo makes fun of her for it, but ends up enjoying it and helping her with the camera work, finding spots to take pics. he sometimes helps take pics too bc of his tall stature
the tokyo tech high campus is LOUD when gjhm are bickering. and they're always bickering! it doesn't matter who started it (it's gojo always), so those two end up getting scolded by yaga often
on days when utahime is paired with another sorcerer for support, the campus is quiet and gojo is sad :(. when he gets sent to missions, he doesn't get the same support. he's aware he's a special grade and don't need it but it's so boring to do it alone!
when utahime comes back from missions, she always brings back treats and souvenirs for everyone. yes, that includes her annoying junior who in return starts doing the same thing at his missions. she ends up bringing him sweets, like tons of sweets she thinks he'll like (he does). gojo started doing the same gesture but he tends to lie that he didn't bring anything for utahime--which she'll say she doesn't care. but by the time she returns to her room, she'll find a gift bag and a note placed on her desk from the same junior who likes to be dramatic about everything
since utahime is the top student at their campus and aces every exam they have. it's become a thing for her to lead their study sessions. she does her best to tutor and simplify things for them. gojo tends to be a distraction at first but tends to help her out on these sessions. they end up pass out next to each other with his uniform jacket placed on her as a blanket. the others often wake up early before those two and notes how peaceful they are
sugushoko definitely picks up on gojo's crush on utahime before gojo is even aware himself. they been quiet about it the whole time, just watching the disaster unfold. shoko brings up the idea of mentioning it to one of them at one point but geto wants to see how much longer until one of them realizes it or something funny happens
geto one day asks gojo who's his type. gojo's answer makes it so obvious he's describing utahime but he doesn't even know. geto teases him that he just described their senior. gojo just gives him an annoyed look and changes the subject
shoko just drops the information about gojo's crush to utahime out of the blue and utahime just gives her a disgusted look. "gojo just likes to be a brat." utahime goes into a long tangent about gojo. shoko notes the songstress definitely does not look at gojo like that except as an annoying junior and laughs to herself about it. poor gojo 🤭
utahime gets asked out a lot by upperclassmen and non-sorcerers. it definitely doesn't bother gojo! nope, not at all! but he makes it a goal to disturb whoever he sees talking to his senior when utahime should be studying or tutoring. their courtship is distracting the flow of education! utahime ends up apologizing for her junior's bratty actions
december 2005: gojo turns 16 and the new years are near. the trio decides to celebrate over break. everyone except utahime are present during this month. due to the songstress graduating in a few months, she's been occupied in missions back to back. it doesn't bother gojo that she's not present during his bday or the gang's winter break or for new years celebration. but he is annoyed he doesn't even get a simple text or email from her! what kind of senior is she not to acknowledge her junior's bday or greet a simple new years? he definitely does not miss her or wait for her message on his phone 💢🙄
what he doesn't expect is to find himself walking to campus in the crisp january weather after new years. he sees utahime sitting on one the benches. she stands up after noticing him and waves at him. gojo quickens his steps towards her, already planned out what snarky comment to say. what he doesn't expect is for her to suddenly reach out a big giftbag to him. gojo pauses and looks at her. "happy belated birthday and a happy new year, gojo"
utahime's gifts to him were handful of sweets, varying from different prefectures. there are mochi, chocolate, pastries, etc. one that stood out to him was a stuffed white cat keychain wearing some dark glasses. she states she saw it and thought it resembled him. she got matching ones for sugushoko as well and can't wait to give it give to them. gojo doesn't have a joke or anything in return to say and thanked her for the gifts. he doesn't end up using the keychain but places it in his desk inside his campus room. displaying it neatly next to his lamp and a picture of their friend group
gjhm rarely fights. sure, they get into arguments, bickering contests, loud banter--but fights are very rare. when they do fight, it's usually something that started from stubbornness, pettiness, even miscommunication. but they're both willing to apologize soon right after the heat of the moment ends. they don't like giving each other the cold shoulder
since gjhm are pretty young and are still inexperienced, i think them apologizing won't be so direct. they're both equally stubborn when it comes to each other and stumble with getting their thoughts across but they'll make it up halfway towards other means (likes small gifts, tea, nonchalant convos about it, etc)

I Played Persona 5 Tactica, Here Is What I Think About It
I have long awaited Tactica since the first announcement trailer (yes, the one that got "accidentally" published by Atlus). After playing through the main story + DLC I needed to sort my thoughts & have decided to subject every other person on the internet to it.
First of all a few disclaimers: Did someone ask me to write this? No Do I care? No Do I need to sort out my thoughts out loud? Yes :D There will be spoilers for the entire game + DLC so read this post knowing that! Lastly, this post is highly critical but it comes from a place of enjoyment of the game and love for the series. If that hadn't been the case, I would've never spent literal days collecting all these words in one place.
So.
Let's start by: have I enjoyed my experience? Yes, most of the time. Would I recommend the game to someone else? Now that is a good question. Let's start from the theory.
What does Tactica want to achieve?
According to this interview by Business Producer Nomura, Director Maeda, and Composer Konishi, P5T had -- extremely summarized -- three main goals:
Maintaining the Persona 5 allure and imagery despite having a different gameplay and visual style
Making a strategy rpg accessible even to non-fans of the genre and non-navigated trpg players
Capturing "the straightforward and highly passionate feelings of the high school students, along with a slightly precarious, fleeting danger inherent in their straightforwardness" (Maeda, quoting from the Persona Central article previously cited)
If we hold what it said into this interview as our sole criteria for judging the game, Persona 5 Tactica aces most of it. I will go into each section deeper as this post goes on, but this game was clearly made with passion by people who have very clear in their minds what Persona 5 means, sounds, and feels like.
There is only one problem: it's not as clear who this game was made for.
Who's Tactica targeted at?
At its core, despite being a game that most likely only the more passionate P5 fans will buy, especially so far from P5's original release and so close to both P3:RE and the (plausible?) announcement of P6, Tactica's main story is so clearly made with the intent of being enjoyed by every possible P5 fan that the hardcore fanbase would probably be the last segment of players I would suggest that should play this game. Right from the start, it supplies you with practical notes about who is who, what key places you need to know, and other recap information from the previous game -- a nice feature, and very helpful... but clearly targeted at people who haven't touched P5 since 2017, or at least haven't been participating in some form of fandom in the past 6 years.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing bad with wanting to appeal to every possible player -- Strikers, too, was purposefully designed to be enjoyed no matter your starting point for the series, the game, the anime, or the manga (or none of these things, actually). I find some form of contradiction, however, in the fact that not only the DLC, which acts as a prequel to Tactica's main story, technically has light spoilers for Royal, but also... of all the people I know -- irl, on the internet, among gaming creators -- who played P5 the majority of them still has only played P5. They haven't been interested in the slightest in all these spinoffs that have come out in the meantime, not even in Royal. (more about this on Reddit)
My point is: at this point in time, with the infamous cow-milking reputation Atlus has especially regarding P5, the people who have bought and are going to buy the spinoffs no matter what are the hardcore fans. But this game isn't made for them for the most part -- and that is something that can sour the whole experience.
I won't get into the debate about the canonicity of the P5 timeline, but Tactica seems to have a few ideas and well-confused about the whole thing. Because the DLC is Royal compliant, even touches upon "Kasumi"'s bond with her sister, and is technically set parallel to Sae's Palace. Which sort of makes sense since Royal and Tactica share their producer (Wada). But then there is no mention of Royal canon whatsoever in the main story (01.29.24 EDIT: I stand slightly corrected, as Maruki does get hinted at... but I also stand by the fact he's not mentioned in a way that truly matters, and my point about the Third Kingdom I talk about later on is still valid). Sure, much like Strikers, Tactica does not contradict Royal. But between not contradicting and actively enforcing there is a world of difference.
During the game, specific events of P5 are referenced, much more heavily than what happens in Strikers, with Shido and the political scandal being addressed more than once -- to the point where the December calling card is what prompted Toshiro out of his subservient attitude towards his father. Even Yaldabaoth is mentioned and compared to Salmael, the Big Baddie of Tactica, something that in Strikers was left much vaguer ("it's been x months since we fought a god"). And this does not happen for any of the Royal content. Despite the DLC, the Royal-compliant DLC, very clearly linking its story with the main one. Even more, the Third Kingdom and Salmael have an unmissable resemblance with the themes of the Third Semester and what Maruki was planning, parallels so apparent that you would expect someone to at least hint at what happened between January and February at some point.
Instead, there is silence. The themes are loudly there (and I don't know if it's just me, but the Hideout -VT- ost has interesting similarities to Ideal and the Real - End Version -) yet not once, not in the slightest does Maruki ever get mentioned or referenced or hinted at. (01.29.24 EDIT: as I added before, Maruki does get hinted during a conversation that takes place in the Thrid Kingdom... but it's no where near how deeply interwowen Tactica's story is with the ending of vanilla P5. This is what I meant in the following sentence where I say there is a disparity of treatment because there absolutely is.) It's clear to me, given the disparity of treatment, that Tactica's main story doesn't want to contradict Royal in the same way that Strikers didn't, but Persona 5 vanilla is clearly the game you're supposed to have played before starting this one. Which, of course, is also reinforced by Akechi and "Kasumi" being locked behind the DLC. And I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that, if you're a hardcore fan (= most likely to buy Tactica), this probably isn't what you would have wanted from this game.
What Tactica does best
Tactica is a good game for the most part. As I was saying in my introduction, 2 out of the 3 main goals for this game have been not only achieved but aced.
Gameplay-wise, the loop can become quite addicting, especially between the last portion of the First Kingdom and the first half of the Second Kingdom, where imho the story peaks. The development team has done a damn well good job in reducing the structure of a trpg to its core and mixing it with what makes Persona 5... Persona 5. Much like the base game, for example, getting the upper hand through chains of One Mores and All-Out Attacks is basically how you progress through maps. Each Thief has his own Persona + 1 equippable sub-Persona -- even Joker can only use Arsène -- but they made sure to translate each different element into a different mechanic. I adored that, exactly like it happens in the first game, despite the combat being turn-based the characters seem to dance on the battlefield, with each action flowing into the next one as the hype builds up and either Lyn's voice or catchy drums accompany you turn after turn. Don't expect something too complex, as the game is designed to be accessible even to non-strategy players -- and surely I was disappointed by having to play with only 3 characters at a time -- but the fun is there, and to an extent, you can build each character how you most like them through a minimal but very efficient skill tree.
The music is another thing Tactica does very well. By now (Strikers, Royal, and Tactica) it's clear that Konishi favors aggressive guitars over groovy basslines and I didn't mind it one bit, as this became kind of his personal signature. The first portion of the game especially is full of banger hits that get later reprised and remixed as you progress through the Kingdoms. Some of my favorites:
Maxim, like many tracks, has an excellent use of percussions that resemble war drums
Tension, with clear Life Will Change influences
Infiltrate, back at it with the Life Will Change vibes and an exceptional use of strings that resemble horse hooves running on the cobblestones of a medieval city
Master of the Castle, which plays during the Marie bossfight, is an excellent mixture of the Tension theme with the addition of a more aggressive guitar and... bells! Because she's about to get married!
Amusement Park of Trauma, a strong detachment from the general mood of the Second Kingdom that perfectly serves its purpose
Recollection, a melancholic theme that through its notes perfectly sets the mood for what the player is about to go through as soon as they set foot in the Third Kingdom, much like Gentle Madman before it
01.29.24 EDIT: as the beta version of Last Surprise was discovered, I was able to catch a bunch of notes between 0.18 and 0.30 that I am fairly sure are present, rearranged/with guitars only, inside one of Tactica's OSTs too. I just can't seem to find it so I will add the specific one as soon as I spot it lol
Along the new tracks, some very neat rearrangements like Beneath the Mask (which somehow they managed to make it sound even more lo-fi than it already was) and Disquiet make their apperance, as well as a version of Prison Labor.
Also, contrary to what happens in the hellscape of info dumping that is the first hours of Strikers, tutorials are actually paced wonderfully here, and you get to be introduced to each bit of gameplay with little steps, and nothing gets shoved down your throat leaving you with so many information you actually have no idea how to play.
Additionally, the story is quite captivating, especially if you pay attention to what can seem to be minor details. Right from the start, the sheer need to understand what the hell is going on is what drives you forward, and by the end of the First Kingdom and Marie's reveal as Toshiro's fiance, you start to understand that the scope of the entire thing is much more limited and personal -- which is something I appreciated a lot. Toshiro is a good character, his cowardice at the start isn't just a funny trait for the laugh, but a flaw that is deeply connected with his personal history and, much like with Zenkichi and Sophia, the team did a good job in tracing parallels with the other Phantom Thieves in order to quickly build empathy towards him -- with Haru and Futaba being the absolute best matches. The same thing happens with Erina, who shares the rebellious fire of the Phantom Thieves and leads the rebellion against Marie. What I loved about her is her goofiness, I was afraid she would be the nth Strong Female Character -- seeing as Kasumi was very much your Manic Pixie Dream Girl -- instead I found a lady with a sharp tongue and a strong heart, who's deeply loyal but doesn't hesitate to fool around. She's really valid, I admit I wouldn't have bet on her character to be like this but I'm happy they took this direction with her.
So... all is good, right? Why do I say that the game "is good... for the most part"?
Tactica's recycling problem
Fundamentally, and believe me it pains me very much to say this... Tactica doesn't have a lot to say, despite what its developers declared.
The game's themes, characters, morals, and climax are all heavily derivative of themes, characters, morals, and climaxes that have already been more than explored within the various iterations of P5. Past the final portion of the Third Kingdom, the repetitiveness of it all became seriously unbearable. No thing, big or small, gets spared: this is how you find yourself with Toshiro mathematically relating to all the Phantom Thieves, even when it feels forced; how you have the battle against Shadow Toshiro and then Eri that is 1:1 what we saw in Futaba's Palace with the fight against Wakaba; how you have the nth Deity Wished By Mankind that wants to rule over Free Will; how the "Fourth" Kingdom is nothing more than a recycling, reskinning, recoloring of what you already played through the previous Kingdoms -- mobs and bossfights included.
It really does a disservice to the game, the fact that so many of its final portions are stretched out to the point of exhaustion, I imagine only for the sake of justifying the cost of the game with more playtime, something that is deeply wrong, especially if we take into consideration that the game is actually sold at (less) than the current average market price (60€/$, compared to PS4/Switch games being 60-70 and next-gen games being 70-80). It kills the climax that Tactica so painfully had built up to that point, and it made me feel like completing the story was more of a chore I had to do in order to get to the final cutscene (which... is fine, I guess) than something I did with heartfelt conviction.
Moreover, the deeply derivative nature of this game causes more than some issues, character-wise. Because this is a game with the Phantom Thieves... but narratively speaking, they aren't the protagonists: Toshiro and Erina are. This leads to a weird situation where the group, who has by now 2 god killings under their belt, remains stagnant throughout the whole game, as they have nothing to learn or improve about them, and too often they become nothing more than the mask (ah-ah) of themselves, with characters acting just like their archetype -- Yusuke, the starving artist; Morgana, who gets angry when he's called a cat; Ryuji, the dumb guy who's the butt of the joke. Incredibly speaking, the one who feels less like herself is Makoto: in P5 she can be tough and confrontational, sure, but you have to provoke her, first -- she's usually kind and collected, with a sort of mom-friend attitude. Strikers played a bit more into her punk side, and Royal gave us her wonderful Showtimes with Haru and Ryuji... but in Tactica, she's straight-up aggressive and quick to violence, often excessively, often for no reason. I have no idea what happened with her honestly, the day of the wedding in the imaginary vignette she even accuses you, unprompted, of cheating on her. Are the writers Makoto haters?
Anyway. My point is, as much as Toshiro and Erina hit home and do their job as characters, and as much as it's heartwarming to have the whole gang together again... sometimes, especially near the end, it sure feels like everything is just an excuse to have more Phantom Thieves content. Which would not be bad! But it is the moment Royal gets ignored and all the progress and maturity they gained is erased.
Overall, I think Tactica has a great cast and great premises, but the final portion of the story has really been dragged for too long, and the amount of recycling between ideas, assets, plot points, and maps is... not great.
Tactica's mysterious mysteries
There is a whole lot that is never given clarification in this game, and well beyond the realm of plausible fan speculations.
So many things went unexplained or even unaddressed. The Metaverse should by all means be gone at this point -- yet it's still working, and the only comment you get on the matter is "I guess it can't be erased completely" which is fine seeing how it's so tied to the human subconscious but an element so important to the worldbuilding really is treated like Just A Thing That Is Said and never given more consideration. Additionally, it is said that Kingdoms aren't Palaces... but functionally speaking, we explore Toshiro's Palace. There are cognitive versions of his family and acquaintances, there are memories locked inside the maps, there is his Shadow... there is no formal reason for it not to be Toshiro's Palace! Except that they needed to market it like an Entirely Different Thing somehow! On this front, Strikers did a really better job in connecting to the canon worldbuilding of P5.
Another thing that goes entirely unaddressed is how exactly the Phantom Thieves have been summoned inside Toshiro's cognition. The game explains that Shido's calling card was what roused Toshiro from his complacency, and what generated Erina as the spark of his rebellion... but it's never explained how the Thieves got in, especially given that it's explicitly stated that they entered in a different manner than Toshiro, who was kidnapped by Salmael, Persona 4 style. All the weirdness of this new world, Personas not working as usual, the Velvet Room changing form... everything is addressed merely in passing, diverted back to Salmael's doing, or even straight up commented by Lavenza with "I have no explanations for this behavior."
Again, lastly, some things are brought up and never addressed again, like the fact Erina can plant the Flag of Freedom but the Flag itself, as a mechanic, only has relevance in the First Kingdom; or the fact that doors with a projectile on it are used to traverse Kingdoms and are what evoked the Phantom Thieves, but no one will ever explain to you what those are or why the Phantom Thieves don't traverse one back to return to the real world, instead they simply... *fades to white*
But what about the DLC?
The DLC is enjoyable but has, on a smaller scale, the exact same problems the rest of the game has.
Some bits of dialogue and character interactions sent me flying, like the way Joker can tease Akechi in a way he doesn't do with any other character or the fact that whether or not Akechi is a Phantom Thief is treated as a complicated matter, and you can trigger some interesting remarks about the whole situation going on outside of Tactica.
Aside from this, the DLC most than anything else suffers from being set in a pocket of time that needs to be wiped from memory, firstly because these three characters aren't exactly a trio yet and only had one interaction together before this moment yet they act like they're closer than that... and secondly because the whole Guernica situation is a parallel to Kasumi and Sumire's story. So it really hits the wrong way, and it even verges on horror if you have the hindsight, that Akechi, Joker and Violet have to save a girl that lost her sister and is being brainwashed to forget her... while Sumire is still "Kasumi."
I liked the setting and I liked the paint mechanic and I liked how frankly brutal and visceral some scenes are. That is exactly my jam! But I couldn't enjoy them to the fullest because I knew they would have amounted to nothing in the grand scheme of things. The memory wipe solution was in store, of course, I saw that coming, nonetheless I found it deeply unelegant, seeing as they didn't even try to offer an explanation as to why or how the trio had their memory erased.
Also, it makes no sense for Guernica to be active in the real world at that scale if only because there would be no reason for her to never be mentioned anywhere after, and I quote, "pulling a stunt like the ones from the Phantom Thieves."
On a final note, since I mentioned the base game's price... contrary to that, Tactica's DLC isn't worth the 20€/$ you pay it. Not only because it's very short (4-5 hours if you rush, 6-8 if you take some more time to maybe restart some maps or replay some dialogues and gush like I did) but because the experience is overall nothing memorable, and the additional maps aren't enough to cover that. I stand by the fact you shouldn't judge a game's price by its length, but length isn't Repaint Your Heart's sole problem, sadly.
My final thoughts
Overall, I enjoyed playing Tactica (save for the final part) and it gave me some really stellar content, like the fake wedding scenes, Ann's best characterization across the entire series, Erina as a character, and overall a new occasion to spend time with my favorite band of outlaws teens.
I'm glad I had more P5 content... but I still feel I could've gone by with no problems without Tactica. Which is a sad thing to say, but it's true. Because I loved Strikers and I would never want to live without having played that game. Tactica, well... despite me being hyped for it a ton, it made me come to the conclusion that I am done with P5 content, especially if it has to be like this. If I feel nostalgic, I'll just boot my PS5 and replay Royal for the second time. And for everything else, there is fandom.
Thank you for reading this far if you have. You can find me on Twitter, Ao3 and BlueSky!

Into, Across and Beyond! Cast: The Funkin' Crew
Origin: Friday Night Funkin' (most of the group); VS Sky (basis for ErrorSky)
Tumblr media
"Benjamin Miku here! Let's get into action!" - Benjamin Miku/Boyfriend
"Aww, yeah! That's how you do it!" - Grace Dearest/Girlfriend
"I already lost one iteration of my best friends, and I'm not going to let another meet that same fate." - Pico N. Grounds
"It makes no sense for me to be held by the shackles of my past. I have friends who need me in the present AND the future!" - ErrorSky
The gang from Philadelphia; an aspiring music artist, a daughter to a demon family, a ginger-haired bounty hunter, and a fangirl of the formermost. Each of them have had their major points in history, and here in IAB! is no different. However, these aren't entirely the same Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Pico and Sky fans have grown to appreciate over the years. This story focuses on an entirely new group.
The important point that kickstarted their new story was the events of Mario's Madness, which led to the deaths of Boyfriend and Girlfriend at the hands of Ultra M, and Pico being stuck wandering in the haunted cartridge until he came across some strange being that reset the ENTIRE FNF universe and created a new iteration; Dimension FNF-NEW-2023.
Right away, there are some changes; the counterparts of Boyfriend and Girlfriend are vastly different, being dubbed "Benjamin" and "Grace" respectively, and it's through this that gives Pico a new connection to them. He just wanted them to be together in this timeline, too, and cared very much about their wellbeing. Granted, Benjamin did date Pico for a bit during high school, though they broke up for Ben's safety after the school shooting.
Speaking of that attack, Pico had remembered meeting his counterpart from Dimension DS-2022, and took a hint from him; he went straight for Cassandra to ensure lives could be saved from the shooting, and thanks to that, Pico had less of an interest in professional work than he once did. As it happened, he was the only one whose memories remained intact after the big reset.
In this universe, quite a bit had changed. Benjamin and Grace were both instead high-school students, and though Benjamin lacked the very high levels of bravery his original self did, he's still done his best to tackle the challenges laid before him. He's also more careful around asking people to sing with him, and holds off if that person isn't in the mood for it.
Benjamin and Grace's families were also bigger in this new universe. Taking a page from MizanPloz's Genderswaps mod and other mods, their families include parents (fresh ones in Ben's case), siblings (including their younger "genderswap" counterparts, Kaity and Chris) and cousins. And the two even made new friends out of those they had singing matches with, which Pico really enjoyed seeing.
As for ErrorSky, she ended up coming into the new universe as an accidental anomaly, and found herself admiring Benjamin like most iterations of Sky would admire their Boyfriends. Predictably, it backfired in her face, but she came out of it not wanting to intrude on Benjamin's love life. Unfortunately, she became a prime target for the monster known as Toxinfect, but with help from one of the other victims of his wrath, she overcame the monster and guaranteed her escape, even reconciling with Benjamin and Grace afterwards.
During that same time, the Corruption struck Philly, courtesy of the Lemon Demon, though it lasted two weeks in total, and unfortunately for the Monster, it grew in sentience and soon betrayed him. Thankfully, Benjamin, Grace, Pico and their companions were all able to fight off the virus and get rid of it. And better still, they got on Daniel Dearest's good side permanently thanks to this. If Agent Blueballs' foothold on canon events were to apply here from Funkinverse, then the Corruption is their shared canon event.
After both these events, ErrorSky became besties with Benjamin and Grace, preferring to remain at a friend level to make up for her prior advances, though has been blushy in Grace's presence as well as Benjamin's. It's sometime after that the blasted cartridge incident came back, this time in the form of a disc with Mario AND Sonic horrors within. This time, they avoided death, freed SHM from the confines (who was Victim #1, or "Madeline") and overpowered Xenophanes, who was the REAL mastermind behind it.
Once that was all said and done, the four discovered the path into the Errorverse via an interdimensional portal. Thanks to going through it, they ended out aging down into teens, like Nitro and his siblings before them. Thanks to this, they ended up becoming more involved in the quests of those in this dimension; helping free the Literature Club girls from their game for good, Benjamin giving a kid dubbed "AE M." companionship (and leading to them becoming boyfriends), fighting off evil corporate businessmen and sentient viruses, and further expanding Benjamin's music scene overall.
Speaking of that, the influence of Funkin' culture has happened to be part of the multiverse's music scene, even if it's not to everyone's tastes. And it just so happens that it seems to be popular in Dimension MP-2021, especially with OMT!Tails. It's to the point where, when CR!Sonic told him to keep calm about the wall-clinging in One More Hero, he did some of the beatboxing from "Fresh" to keep him steady. Of his composed songs, of course, Benjamin isn't too proud about "Really Happy" from Sunday Night, considering its nature and the awful screen-shake effect it caused.
This later leads into More than One Universe, the point where Benjamin and his crew are brought into the events via the Errorverse link. Through this, they each lent a hand in apprehending the villains that had leaked through into the OMT universe. During this time, however, Benjamin almost fell victim to demonic possession from the Puhoi curse, with three outcomes; him escaping solo with Soul BF, him losing and branching into becoming Bently, and, in the case of the scenario post-EV-rewrite, Nitro interfering before it can hold for long.
After the end of it, Benjamin was happy to sign an autograph for OMT!Tails, since the kid was a pretty big fanboy of him, and EV!Sonic saw quite the potential in him, since Benjamin was an angel in this shared universe. The following day was when Pico finally came clean to Benjamin about the timeline reset, which he took pretty well, all-in-all. And that Christmas, he met Soft Benjamin (a younger incarnation) for the first time, he, the Mikus and Dearests gave the Fairests their karma and prompt arrest, and he decided to adopt Softie into his family, which the kid was really happy about. It's through Softie that he got to meet his other counterparts from other universes (like Neo, B3, Minus, B-Sides, D-Sides and Arrow Funk).
Amongst other things, he has also been taking good care of Evan from FNF: Childhood Memories, and helps babysit him each Sunday in his free time, the time they spend together reigniting some of Benjamin's childhood memories. Since Evan and Holly obviously aren't suited for combat, it's why neither actually appear in the base stories, as I've planned to instead feature them in more casual slice-of-life storylines to tie in to the mod while work on it continues.
Sometime after this was when The X struck during one of Salty's crusades, and the attack left Sunday, roommate of Carol and good friend of Ben and Grace, with protanopia, meaning they can't see red anymore. When Cam (Agent Blueballs) tried to recruit Benjamin into the Funkin' Society using Kenji as association, this backfired massively, and due to Benjamin's well-respected position amongst the Boyfriends, this quickly earned Cam even MORE ire amongst counterparts across the multiverse), including from the original Soft Pico.
After The X was successfully detained by the Quill Society, which took more work than you'd think despite him being weaker by the events of IAB!, EV!Sonic approached Benjamin for a potential place in the Quill Society, which he accepted, though was confused about.
As EV!Sonic explained later, Benjamin was offered this place due to a mix of him being an angel, him sporting the ECHO ability to keep pace with hostile villains, and indirectly hailing from a SEGA property thanks to his ties with Hatsune Miku. These were enough to give Benjamin his position in the group, and he was able to increase his connections through it. ErrorSky also joined in, having built her own community with other Skys. That said, she dislikes Miko a LOT, due to her being an internet jerk.
As for Pico, his quest to ensure a better future for his friends paid off, and he could get his closure for the original BF and GF in that their legacy would live on through his newer friends and their families.
To count any canon events each of the crew have gone through (relative to Blueballs' way of thinking in the Funkin' Society):
Benjamin:
He had dropped out of high school, though not immediately, only after the Corruption was gone to ensure it couldn't hurt any of his classmates.
Benjamin has three companions supporting him together; Grace, Pico and ErrorSky. The latter two are not committed relationships, which isn't a requirement.
The bad song Benjamin composed was "Really Happy", and he's actively not proud of it.
Benjamin has fought off the Corruption when it struck his world, and has never encountered or been claimed by any denizens of the Darkness.
Grace:
Like Benjamin, she only dropped out of high school in the aftermath of the Corruption.
Grace has Benjamin as her main supporting companion.
She encountered the Corruption much like her friends, though was never claimed by the Darkness.
Pico:
Pico dropped out of high school in the aftermath of the shooting incident, like his original self did, and moved to mercenary work. However, in the new timeline, it's only undercover work to get Daniel Dearest back on a good side.
Pico's supporting companions, as usual, are Nene and Darnell, though he's yet to make things click romantically with either.
Pico, as per his canon event, took a stand against the Corruption first-hand and aided in eradicating it after being freed. He also had to fight off one Darkness infectee and came out no worse for wear.
He lost the original Boyfriend and Girlfriend in his canon event.
ErrorSky:
As per tradition for Sky variants, ErrorSky had crushed on Benjamin in the past, though saw what she was doing was wrong.
Her parents died through her canon event, courtesy of Toxinfect.
Benjamin's top-selling songs:
A cover of Vocaloid song "Idol", deviating from his usual beep-boop singing act.
"Serendipity" from Vs. Radi and Lofie (ft. Lofie)
"The Division - Destruction of Boyfriend" (cover of his own sister's song; ft. Softie)
And as for a little extra trivia related to the bunch:
ErrorSky actively dislikes Miko and has gone to great lengths to vandalise her twisted social media acts for the sakes of others. She's also actively at odds with Faker Sky, those two being the ONLY Skies she hates.
Pico had been twice-shy around Nene, having once kissed her cheek to cheer her up, but feeling extremely embarrassed about it afterwards.

Timeline for Nikoletta Bordeaux
(since I don't have her story written out and don't have time to start it, I figured I'd put this together to keep things organized)
1982 (December 21) - Nikoletta is born in New Orleans.
1983 - Nikoletta's mother leaves the picture shortly after she's weaned onto solid foods. She is raised by her father, Raymond Bordeaux
1998 - Nikoletta is sixteen. Her father is killed in a drunk driving accident. Nikoletta begins running a voodoo scam to pay for her last two years of high school.
2000 - Nikoletta graduates high school and continues to run her voodoo scam. She makes enough money to survive, though only just. At this time, Abner is living with his mother and siblings in STAR Labs, in the early stages of testing.
2006 (May): Nikoletta is 23. She is kidnapped by STAR Labs for experimentation. She is in the labs for about a month while they run experiments.
2006 (June): The tests at STAR Labs finally succeed, and Nikoletta is linked to a shadow realm. She develops her shadow-touch and eventually learns how to move through shadows. She uses this ability to escape STAR Labs the first chance she gets. At this time, Abner is on another floor of the building, undergoing experimentation of his own.
2007: After escaping STAR Labs, Nikoletta returns to running her voodoo scam on the streets of New Orleans. She supplements this by breaking into homes, using her shadow-walking to vanish without a trace.
2010: Nikoletta is caught in the act of breaking and entering and is arrested. She is given a power dampener and sent to Belle Reve.
2011 (January): The power dampener glitches, and it is briefly removed to be replaced. Nikoletta uses the opportunity to escape Belle Reve by shadow-walking. At this time, Abner and his siblings are in the late stages of experimentation.
2011 (October): Nikoletta is caught again, this time for a chain of assaults - her victims survived, but each was left with an unmistakable inky handprint across their faces. It was ruled disfiguring, and she was charged heavily and sent back to Belle Reve
2012: Nikoletta settles into Belle Reve and decides that it's a safer life than living impoverished on the street. She begins cultivating her reputation as the Queen of Belle Reve.
2015: Nikoletta is 32/33. She has now secured her reputation as the Queen of Belle Reve, and no longer wears a power dampener. She has an understanding with Amanda Waller - she keeps things "clean" by marking certain prisoners with her shadow-touch, controlling the violence in Belle Reve, in exchange for a safe cell and some amenities. While she could escape at any point, she stays in Belle Reve to maintain her power and control.
2016: Abner is sent to Belle Reve for blowing up STAR Labs. He is attacked his first day by another prisoner, and Nikoletta rescues him by "marking" his attacker (opening him up to violence from the other prisoners) and encourages Abner to keep his head down.
2017: The Suicide Squad is formed, though neither Nikoletta nor Abner are sent on missions. Nikoletta and Abner have sparse but friendly interactions.
2021 (April): Abner's presence results in greater conflict at Belle Reve as Calendar Man and others use him as a target. Amanda Waller subtly requests that Nikoletta mark him - the easiest way to remove the conflict before it gets worse, and she doesn't see any use for him. Nikoletta refuses, and keeps this interaction a secret from the other prisoners.
2021 (August): Abner is assigned to the Suicide Squad's mission to Corto Maltese. Nikoletta is also assigned - she suspects Waller is upset about her disobeying, and wants to get them both out of the way. She debates escaping the mission by shadow-walking, but eventually decides against it.
2021 (August): The mission to Corto Maltese takes place. Nikoletta and Abner grow closer through the mission and form a budding romance. She rescues him from Starro by pushing him into the shadow realm. She wakes up days later in the hospital, drained and exhausted but without her shadow-touch (the exertion of pushing another person in the shadow realm drained her of the excess shadows). She finds Abner in the hospital room with her, holding her hand.
2021 (September): She and Abner move into a low-budget apartment on the outskirts of New Orleans.
2021 (November): She and Abner adopt two cats - a black cat named Baron and a gray American shorthair named Barbie (short for Barbershop Quartet). Both cats were rescued strays, Baron found near one of New Orleans' many voodoo shops and Barbie found in an alleyway behind a hair salon.
2022 (January): Nikoletta's shadow-touch briefly returns, which causes her to panic. She learns to expel the excess shadows, as she did during the battle with Starro. Eventually this will become a routine - every few months, her shadow-touch returns and she drains the shadows, leaving her weak for about a day afterwards.

“Fear is temporary. Regret is permanent.”
Tumblr media
Timeline
Age 0:
Hisoka and his twin brother Haruto are born to Natsuko Tetsumasu. Their father was absent. The family resided outside Nakanojo town in the Gunma prefecture, living in an impoverished life.
Age 12:
Going into middle school, the brothers at this point grow up the same yet different.
Hisoka at this point is the brother who played on the safer side, marketing towards his classmates’ demand by making new things that range from cheaply made snacks to cute keychains to earn extra money for the still struggling Tetsumasu family.
He does help with Haruto’s more risky plans to earn money. Usually helping to pickpocket and steal.
Age 18:
Both brothers finish high school, with Hisoka getting plenty of awards to pursue a degree.
His mother and brother decide to take advantage of the opportunity and begin to try and help pay for Hisoka’s schooling. As a result Hisoka moved to the Tokyo area to study engineering, something that he felt would be more useful for his future.
Age 19:
WWIII breaks out and Haruto joins the war at his own will.
Hisoka find himself struggling with the strictness of university. More often than not, he’s in trouble for an array of things.
Age 21:
At this point Hisoka is basically disinterested in university and hardly attends his classes.
Somehow he manages to get a job as a junior researcher for a somewhat suspicious development team. This turns out to be Rei Amayado, freshly out of the military research department and working on the Hypnosis Mic development independently.
Haruto finally returns home changed. He is a lot more violent and sleazy, quickly joining a black market business focused on selling and exchanging illegal weapons. Hisoka sees nothing wrong with this development, half expecting this sort of life for his twin. Their mother however is less than pleased and tries to get Haruto out of the life.
Age 25:
Hisoka finally graduates college a couple years later than expected.
As a result of his slacking, he lost many of his awards from high school and finds himself in debt.
In desperation, he works out a deal with his brother Haruto, who was beginning to branch off in his own independent black market called ENAN and sells a prototype of the Hypnosis Mic that Rei had been developing. Surprisingly, this gets sold for a good price and Hisoka starts to plot on breaking away from the development team to save himself from money troubles.
Age 28:
As the hypnosis mic is finally completed, Hisoka along with the others get suspicious of Rei’s plans. Hisoka however chooses to follow through with his plans from before and steal as much information as he can and ditches the hypnosis mic development team to run to his brother.
After showing Haruto the plans, the two work together to create their own versions of the hypnosis microphone.
Age 31:
After three years of working in ENAN with his twin, Hisoka pays off his student debt with the tainted money he had earned. The brothers celebrate by getting matching tattoos.
Age 32:
After balancing working for the black market and researching Rei’s stolen work, Hisoka finally finishes his own bootleg version of the hypnosis mic.
This bootleg mic is taken to Haruto, who quickly uses his connections to manufacture it fast.
Age 33:
With the H Act passed, many black markets are targeted and taken down in mass. The brothers however, despite having been running a black market on illegal weapons are the first to adapt to the new situation with their illegal hypnosis microphones.
Sales are great for the several months they are in business, having thrown government people off their trail by sacrificing their old supply and associates.
Near the end of the year however, a deal with the Seto-kai goes wrong. Hisoka is the only survivor from ENAN.
A quick patch job and Hisoka flees to Toyama city hearing that the mountains have plenty of agricultural jobs that don’t bother to check the history of potential workers. The one who accepts him is the Rikiya farm and after he recovers from the injuries sustained in the accident, he is quickly put to work.
On recommendation from the matriarch of the property Toshiko Rikiya, Hisoka starts to develop methods to hide his tattoos. Namely, growing out his hair and changing his wardrobe, which Toshiko seems to take a lot of joy in helping with.
Age 34:
A year of working with the Rikiyas constantly talking about a neighboring property’s livestock (mainly the horses), Hisoka receives help from Toshiko to move up to Hokkaido, specifically to Obihiro to Spur Stud Ranch.
Although he was sad to leave, he regularly sent letters to Toshiko Rikiya and gifts to Asato.
At the same time he starts to write letters to his mother, but never has the strength to send any of them.
Age 35:
Present
Hisoka at this point has begun raising his first few horses and is enjoying his new life in Obihiro.
Only person outside of his colleagues he befriends is the Kamiyama family, who are regulars thanks to a few of the sons and the father having an interest in horse racing.
Hisoka is startled by an invitation to join the D.R.B. In a panic, he manages to get the runaway Kamiyama son Daiki and his butler Jack Verrill to help him compete in a team, Veiled Vanguard.

I recently made a TOH sona (witchsona?) named Robyn. I'm have a basic idea on what his story is and how it fits with the timeline, but we'll have to see if I need to change things around.
Also, if no one knows who Vitimir is, he's the potions coven head. Gonna have a lil backstory for him in another post. Maybe.
Buckle up, because this is gonna be a bumpy ride.
Robyn grew up with his parents and 3 brothers. He was the youngest and the "black sheep" of the group based on their horns. His family is renown for having large, symmetrical horns no matter the gender, but Robyn's are both short and asymmetrical. Nevertheless, he was loved by his parents and siblings.
His father is in the Bard coven, a performer, and his mother is in the Healing coven. His older brothers, from oldest to youngest, are in the Healing, Abomination, and Potions covens. Robyn would've been in the Bard coven had he not become a wild witch. When Robyn came out as transgender, his mother and brother were honored to do his top surgery.
Robyn would end up going to Glandus High, and his school life was a bit hard. He was somewhat an outcast since he would trip over his own tail and witches would make fun of him for it. Obviously, he learned not to as he grew older, but it happened enough to earn a nickname and teasing.
This continued until Vitimir transferred to his school and was almost immediately outcasted. His acid breath had mildly hurt another student at his old school, causing his parents to change schools to avoid the consequences. A rumor had spread quickly between the students that he was violent, which made other students avoid him no matter what.
Robyn decided to befriend him, both out of sympathy and not believing the rumors. He had approached Vitimir during lunch and shared his food with him (Vitimir claims that his mother forgot to pack his). They would hit it off pretty quick, hanging out with one another after school and studying for classes in a cave in the forest.
When they hit 18, the age of joining a coven, Robyn told Vitimir that he didn't want to join a coven. He would instead become a Wild Witch. Despite the confusion, Vitimir respected his decision as he joined the Potions coven. Robyn would live in the protection of his parent's home for the time being.
Years later, after Vitimir was appointed the new head of the Potions coven, Robyn would have to fight against him and the other heads on a walk home. Emperor Belos was intent on gathering Wild Witches and targeted specific witches to specifically be petrified. Vitimir had no idea it was Robyn, until he used his acid breath on their arm. The battle was 8 vs 1 (Vitimir was frozen in shock), and Robyn lost.
He has broken off their friendship at that moment after trying to get Vitimir to help him.
Somehow, he found the strength to escape from them and fled into the forest on the left arm. He would stay there until the Day of Unity, watching the draining spell commence and the Collector being freed. Staying in his home in the forest proved to be useful as the Collector's spies could not find him. Until he was too cocky and got a surprise attack, being turned into a puppet.
After Belos' defeat, he was turned back and reunited with his family, saying not a word to Vitimir. While rebuilding the Isles, they would briefly cross paths before rekindling their friendship. Robyn would be living in the crumbling conformatorium since his home is, well, in space, and Vitimir in a woodland house in the woods (a witch of the woods).
I haven't thought past that part, but I'm thinking that they have a slow burn romance where Robyn is the first to realize he has a crush and Vitimir confesses. This'll also be another post. Probably.

VERSE — MOVIE ( CONTAINS SPOILERS & CANON DIVERGENT, tw for canon-typical themes & suicide mention )
just to get straight to the point : it's mainly canon divergent in the sense that i will be altering details in order to make mike an afton. do i think this is going to happen in the movie timeline? no. do i think it's more likely that they're going to explain the oddly personal kidnapping through mirroring the emilys? probably. but it's MY michael afton blog and i can put on my tinfoil hat as much as i want about it. of course i am willing to adapt based on other's info / preferences but given that this isn't my main canon anyway it is meant for those that are interested.
Mike thought he knew everything there was to know about what happened to his family: what he was never told is who his real father was. He was too young to remember anything about William Afton before his mom separated herself from him entirely ( one night stand, breakup, what have you, i'm not picky- ), so he always thought of the father he grew up with as his dad, the reality never changed anything about that.
Until he was twelve years old and Garrett went missing, and everything fell apart. William followed the Schmidts there, taking Garrett in a targeted attack ( whether or not he was trying to grab Mike, took him out of spite, anything else is also flexible ). Everything grew solemn and tense, each of the Schmidts lost in their own individual grief. Slowly, they stopped having dinners together, stopped going out as a family, stopped being able to feel like things were normal. The grief and guilt only added to Mike's developing anger issues and depression. Although it wasn't on purpose nor with any malicious intent, his dad was the more distant of his parents at the time, serving as the first hint towards his biological parentage and simply because as much as he cared for mike, he was grappling with losing his biological kid ( think tse henry- well meaning but drowning in grief enough for the child to pick up on it ).
This is where Abby comes in, where the Schmidts have another kid in an attempt to feel like a normal family again. It almost seems to work, although there is still that underlying sense of collective grief. Mike was older by then, too ( while he graduates high school, he either doesn't go to college at all or doesn't finish it ).
Their mom dies and the brief sense of possible stability disappears again. It's when Mike is staying at home again for the funeral/to help with Abby that their father commits suicide, unable to take the grief. Mike has had custody of Abby since then.
The events proceed as they did in the movie, William's recognition of Mike in the office not only stemming from the kidnapping but the fact that it's his kid, although Mike doesn't find anything out beyond the fact that it's the man who took Garrett. There is potential for more hints towards this in past interactions with his aunt or birth records or even his dynamic with Vanessa, but for the most part this specific realization is left open.
Following the movie's events, he... does come home to his aunt in the living room. After reporting her death, Mike actually goes back to Freddy's one more time to get security footage in order to prove his innocence. Afterwards, he does his best to hold down another job to keep taking care of Abby in peace, but something about Freddy's gives him the sense that he'll come back to make sure nothing like this happens again.

Viktor Verses
This will be updated as verses are added or developed.
Main Verse
Set in the League of Legends/Arcane universe at any point in the timeline.
PsyOps Verse
Viktor was once a member of High Command, the leaders of PsyOps a group dedicated to protecting the world using their psychic powers. He left after the discovery of an alien gate in the artic which he has become obsessed with getting through it and utilizing it. To that end he became the leader of Black Rose Group and has been perfecting human bioweapontry.
In this verse Viktor has technokinesis which he can use on technology within 700ft of himself (about two football fields away).
Also can be used for crossovers with sci-fi, conspiracy, or military (with psionics/aliens present) based verses.
High Noon Verse
Dr. Viktor came from poor immigrate parents who came to the west looking for a fresh start but only found struggle. He had been looking for a way to save people from death itself by rehousing their minds in bodies made of clockwork, but faced with numerous set backs and his own failing health when the Mechanical Devil approached him he had no choice but to take up the deal and begin working for the devil.
Also can be used for crossovers with any magical wild west verses.
Battlecast Verse
Set in the battlecast verse. Viktor has become the creator and leader of the battlecast army and now is attempting to assimilate all of Runeterra into it.
Riftquest Verse
Viktor of Zaun is a battle smith who once tagged along with an adventuring party helmed by a brilliant paladin, where he ended up doing practically everything no one else had wanted to do. Eventually as his efforts continued to go underappreciated he decided to betray them and race them and their enemies for the powerful artifact they are all after.
This can also be used to crossover with d&d verses. In d&d lingo Viktor is a human urchin artificer (battle smith).
Battle Academia Verse
A second year at Labrys God-Weapon Academy who has fought to be among other future heroes, having incredibly weak abilities which he's had to augment with brilliant technology to keep up with his peers, and hopefully some day surpass them. He is a member of the luminary club.
Superhero Verse
By day Viktor is the lab partner of Piltover's darling Jayce and a renowned scientist in his own right. By night he is Machine Herald, a 'villain' working against the authority of the city through robbery and the killing of key targets.
Can be used in place of my dc verse if requested by dc muses/verses.
Modern Verse
Post university Viktor is working in the field of prosthetics. Heavy wip.
DC Verse
Born in the slums of Gotham city, Viktor was meant for better things, and he felt so did his peers. In his young adulthood he found work at Starr Labs in Metropolis, moving there in the process. Eventually he quit and disappeared off nearly everybody's radar, and in that absence a supervillain, the Machine Herald, has appeared robbing labs and terrorizing cities with his attacks on public figures. Threads can be set anywhere in this timeline.
More info to come.
ATLAS Verse
Set in the main universe of @outofthiisworld (check out their blog for more lore!). He was a member of ATLAS until eventually fleeing the company. Verse still in heavy development. Exclusive to @outofthiisworld.
Danganronpa Verse
He we scouted out from a slum in Russia by Hope's Peak for the talent of Super Highschool Level Cyberneticist in Class 66th. His time at the school was overall peaceful (as far as anyone recalls) and he graduated. In the time since then he's been working on human cyborgs along with service robots, creating Blitzcrank as a proof of concept. Then Tradgy overtook the world, and frankly he found the whole emotional battle of hope and despair stupid, neither would fix the world, his own logic could though. It's funny how apathy comes across as despair...
(Anyone other than Viktor himself would say that he's a despair and the experiments he's turned to are highly unethical at best if not literally a form of torture.)
Apex Verse
Set in the Apex Legends universe. Viktor is an employee of Mercenary Syndicate who's become disillusioned with the group, slowly working against them from the inside and plotting his escape from them.
Exclusive to @v1r4l
Misc Verse
For any thread where the verse is unclear or non-developed or one off AUs.
