fl-chan is the mascot of fl studio. she was released in 2008 with fl studio 8. fl studios creator Didier Dambrin posted about wanting a mascot for fl studio after seeing hatsune miku, which resulted in an illustrator called uruido working with him to create flchan. flchans voice comes from the "Child" vb in fl studios built in tts synthesizer plugin. she speaks in english. it is completely within her tos to port her to utau as a jinriki vb

yuzu is a japanese synth released on 30 sep 2023, though her character birthday is mar 8. she is a tasteloid utau, voiced by one "Bubble", and designed by a competition winner, tish(t_ish_). yuzus sketch was done by guillotama, and lineart by spectrabund. yuzus vb is private, however usts can be submitted on the tasteloid website for her.

Part two! Sorry this took so long! Hopefully, I can channel my inner inspector once again, after a few weeks(?) of it being asleep! Here we go! First off, happy late birthday, Sour! His birthday just so happened to be on the 21st of October! Can I just say he reminds me of Sanrio’s Keroppi???

Please forgive me. I couldn’t find an image with just him, and I had to screenshot.

But honestly that’s super cute? And that cuteness matches his voice?

Sorry, I sort of skipped over the intro. Here we go.

Sour is an overseas UTAU developed by Tasteloid and voiced by Marvelous Box. He is a part of the group, much like Sweet and Bitter from one of the earlier posts. He is a CVVC styled voicebank recorded in the F4 key, with a youthful and childish voice. His voice is described on the website to be “cute and soft.” His voice is described to be a “Mezzo-Soprano” type. He also has a small accent but let’s be honest - the way it was executed adds onto his character and that’s absolutely cute!

Hmm, shall I write a long wall of text once again? The answer is: Most likely!

As of hearing the sample, I can’t quite detect anything wrong with the voicebank! His voice is actually very cute, and provides smooth results! In a way, I was somewhat shocked at how he actually sounded... But in a good way! I’m unsure if his voice actually is soft to me from certain samples. I believe it all comes down to the mixing and flags used in the software itself!

While I haven’t checked the voicebank itself despite being tempted to, the oto actually sounds like it’s good to go! That being said, everything seems to be clear in that department!

My guess on the type of character Sour would be would’ve been similar to Stingy from Lazytown. My guess was not too far off, given how they’re both smug in their own ways. He is said to like the following: himself, fashion, drama, expensive things, gardening, and sweets. Once again, the way he was presented as a whole, as well as his design, was a very nice demonstration of “show, not tell!” The only thing that really caught me off guard about him is that I expected him to be around 14-16 when he’s actually 18! But it’s not much of a nitpick, you see?

A lot of the things I have to say about Sour may just be repeating what I said in the previous post! In short: I have nothing negative to say about Sour! He’s absolutely adorable, and his voice is very smoothly configured!

Hopefully this covers all the things I’ve noticed in the videos! Apologies if I missed anything that I covered in the last post! Hope to see more from your team as well in the future! The Tasteloid project seems to be very visually and audibly pleasing to the ear, so let’s give a round of applause to their team for the amazing work!
