#TimeWarpTuesday meets #TaxidermyTuesday ~
A taxidermy sculpture of mine that was exhibited at renowned Hollywood gallery La Luz De Jesus in 2010 at the world's second-ever rogue taxidermy art exhibition.
The world’s very first rogue taxidermy exhibition was held 6 years prior in Minneapolis, an event orchestrated by two friends and myself. Both shows garnered generous press with the second show getting picked up by AFP, the 3rd largest news agency in the world. As a result, coverage of the show spread to places as far away as Japan. Link here to read about the birth of the genre of Rogue Taxidermy and for an explanation of what type of work it encompasses. You might be surprised.

I thought some of you might be interested to see the still shots and the clips separated from the timelapse of the fox bind up. It still needs clay work on the face and some parts of the body to show muscle definition. Flashback Friday ~ an endearing little piece in Garage Magazine from 17 years ago.
Ah yes… the good old days when what I created lived in limbo between an art museum and a natural history museum. Well... thankfully through the blood, sweat, and tears of those of us at the front lines of this art movement, a niche has been carved out for our bastard progeny. Those of you that have followed my work from its humble beginnings will remember that the tagline on my website back in those days was “I call it art, you can call it whatever you want”. This article was just one of many that pondered the question. I’m happy to report there is no longer a question. Taxidermy has not only been acknowledged as a legitimate medium to create fine art, it’s currently a trend in fine art. #BOOM
Deviculus isn't the type of demon that believes in even contributions. He will either give all or take all, and that usually bodes ill will for whom he is dealing with. For he has only one goal on his personal agenda. His hunger cannot be sated as he bears a mouth of greed.... to grant death.... and take life.
------------
Deviculus is made using real ibex horns, and a Corsican ram cape. He has lifelike golden eyes and a newly sculpted hybrid jawset that merges wolf and javelina fangs.
Hi guys I know it’s cheeky but would mean a lot if you checked out my small bizz! I’m a queer disabled artist working from home so any support truly means a lot, if you like all things macabre, gothic, spooky and a fan of taxidermy you’ll love my work, all bones teeth etc are all ethically sourced!! I’ve included some pics of my work!
I’m currently only posting within the UK but that can change if I get enough support!
The rabbit is trying on some new threads, helped by Mrs Rat and squirrel Bob.
