nothing new here just taylor singing ‘you’re on your own kid (you always have been)’ 16 YEARS after singing ‘i’m alone, on my own, and that’s all i know’ in debut

i just found out that the original lyrics for taylor swift's picture to burn are kinda homophobic. she changed them for streaming after realizing her mistake, but something that kinda perplexed me was everyone defending that version in youtube comments
im bi and i love taylor but can we like... maybe not defend her on this one?? the lyrics imply a negative stereotype of gay men and even if they give you a good laugh when you first hear them, it doesn't change the inherent problem in them.
of course taylor realized this and changed them, im not trying to "cancel her" or anything i just think its weird how many gay people defended it. maybe im in the wrong here but those are some of my thoughts on this....
