Every Friday at work we have "dress-up days" and this week it was "sports" and you were supposed to dress like your favorite sports team but i didn't really have anything so i just like. Wore basketball shorts and a tank top.

But because of the colors of the tank (a nice yellow, navy, magenta & white stripe pattern,) i decided that if anyone asked (which no one did) i would say i was from the team, the "Monongahela Hornets." A regional team who, of course, based their practices in Kepler, WV.

Now i know what you're saying. "The Hornets are a gang & they don't get along w/ society, why would that also be a sports team!?" But hear me out. Pocahontas County used to have a really, really good local basketball team. Like, back when The Hornets we know were know were in elementary/middle school-ish.

Obviously: Mr. Stop N' Pump N' Shop himself.

But after this award-winning inspirational champion had a run-in with half-boy, half-car, protector and king of West Virginia Basketball, 11-year-old Griffin McElroy, Coach was disgraced & no one ever heard from him again.

The basketball team fizzled out without a proper leader at the helm. A lot of up-&-coming athletes and stuntsters were really disappointed by that, so they ended up starting their own little posse in honor of the team that died before its time.

Oh also their biker jackets are totally stitched together from old team jerseys or merch whenever possible. Now, like 15 years down the line or whatever, they're getting slightly harder to find & people are starting to DIY some. But like, Hollis' & Kevin's are definitely OG.

The Baratie was one of your favourite places to visit whilst you were out on the vast blue seas.

You had recently joined the 'Strawhats' crew, and your captian, Luffy, decided he was hungry.

Of course you recommended the Baratie. The food was great, the staff too. Especially the staff.

You had all sat down at a table (with Zoro struggling because of his swords).

A man approached the table, you knew who he was straight away.

"Hi, welcome to the restaurant where the only thing worse than the ambience is the food. My name is Sanji, what can I get you?" He exclaimed with a sour face.

"What's wrong with you then?"

Sanji moved his gaze from Luffy to you, a grin painting his face. "Miss Y/n!"

"You know this guy?" Luffy said, his face stuffed with the food Sanji had set down on the table.

"Very well." You tilted your head with a smile, knowing exactly what was wrong with your friend. "He took you off the line again, didn't he?"

Sanji nodded with a solemn look. "But one day Zeff'll see that I'm the best chef in the East Blue." He took out a little notebook from his pocket. "Now, what can I get for you my love?"

"The usual." You were surprised that he hadn't flirted with Nami.

But when you were around, he didn't care to please anyone else.

Sanji walked away with a kick in his step.

"Did he even get our orders?" Usopp sulked.

This is hyperspecific but one of my favorite accidental tropes is a thing I've taken to calling 'occam's trans twin'.

It's very specifically about media that has a set of clearly identical twins except for the fact one is a woman and one is a man. In theory, yeah, there might be some weird worldbuilding or magic shenanigans or whatever that would allow for a set of identical twins of different genders, but it's just simpler to assume one is trans instead of bending over backwards assuming nonexistent authorial intent otherwise.

Extra funny points when it pulls the sister trope, the 'schrodinger's trans twin' in which both twins have the same amount of trans vibes that, until proven in canon, they could both potentially be the trans one. They both are the trans one and not the trans one at the same time.
