Lucretia, one of the main characters from “The Aventure Zone : Balance” created by the McElroy family. This started with a sketch I did for the #6fanartschallenge back in 2019 and didn’t touch again for a long time. This character made a few bold choices, for herself and everyone else, and by doing so lived quite a few hard and lonely years. I do like slightly unhinged characters who are ready to throw down whenever for their families. Anyway, have some sort-of stained glass style fanart. I haven’t done a proper lineart in forever.

I'm starting a Shrett fan club ugh she's such a good character. i know I've only heard like two scenes of her - I'm on ep 26 - but i just love her! I love a voice that even slightly works at swaying the sometimes black-and-white moral system the PCs often cling to in Taz.

Like yeah Taz obviously does present interesting moral quandaries in the storyline... Like Lucrecia's decision in bal; Hollis' whole deal with violence/opposition in Amn (tbh i can't really think of a good complex one in grad rn but)... But i think the PCs in particular can have a tendency of flattening things a bit. For example in Amn i felt like Clint kinda ret-conned Ned to be this weirdly stand-up guy who was all pushed around by Moshe.

So i love someone like Shrett who's like "let me be a vocal, reasoned counterpoint to that whole deal, actually." Like "no, Amber's not gonna be unopposed in this whole drug thing. Palliative care. This isn't black and white and we don't get to just write it off as some DARE campaign or something."

I definitely feel like it's just a good & important little storytelling thing on Griffins part that i v much respect.
