I just found out from you all this shit about Tazzy. (I keep away from Twitter because I honestly hate drama). And people are insane.
Taz stays away from literally anything that would even be assumed to have anything to do with politics and the such. It's not about dyslexia or him not finishing high-school. (In Spain it's not as big of a deal, idk anywhere else) It's about avoiding drama because he's all about having a positive outlook on life.
He's not someone who grew up with money and he's been supporting everyone who could be anywhere near similar or worse than he experienced. So to think this sweetheart of a man, who keeps to himself and makes sure to spread love everywhere he goes and has a smile for even people who disrespect him makes my blood boil.
People love to reach, without being aware of cultural backgrounds and how people may keep themselves sane by not putting themselves and their opinions out there for anyone to make up shit just for the sake of it.
And that's it.
Also he saw my story of an oil portrait I'm making of him this morning. So I will not have any Taz slander.
Amen! I know he's not perfect. He's human. As are the rest of us. We'd ALL be canceled if everyone went around dredging up all the shit we've ever said because people would find SOMETHING to take out of context and/or pick apart.
I GET that they probably felt disappointed because the BRC aids Israel. But to my understanding, they also his Palestine? There are probably innocents in Israel that do not condone the actions of extremists and are in support of Palestine. Do they not deserve aid if needed and necessary? Do we gatekeep funds from others because of Hamas? You can be disappointed in Taz all you want, but you can't deny that the intention behind his raising funds was nothing short of pure.
Perhaps the BRC holds near and dear to Taz for some reason or other? Idk.
I just hope Taz sees that there are those of us that are in his corner and willing to stand with him.

LOS ANGELES  | Vintage Tom Petty Guitar used on Dylan tour going to auction
LOS ANGELES  — A 1965 Gibson SG electric guitar owned by Tom Petty will be auctioned, along with one the late rocker’s top hats.
Heritage Auctions announced Monday that the auction will occur on July 21. It says the guitar was played by Petty during his 1986 tour with Bob Dylan.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the guitar will benefit two Southern California charities, The Midnight Mission that helps the homeless and the Tazzy Animal Rescue Fund.
The guitar and top hat are being sold by Petty’s friend, Norm Harris, who runs a rare guitar shop. Heritage says Harris sold the guitar to Petty. The rocker returned it to Harris years later after his friend gave him another rare instrument.
Petty died in October at 66.

Mike Campbell
The legendary Mike Campbell covers a number of topics that include how his father influenced his appreciation of music, the cultural impact of The Beatles’ performance on The Ed Sullivan Show and his approach to songwriting. He talks about the decision to leave the University of Florida to join Mudcrutch, how he collaborates with Tom Petty, fronting his club band The Dirty Knobs and his perspective on artistic evolution. He shares his thoughts on recording & producing music and how his favorite new guitars compare to his vintage instruments. He also tells us about his involvement with the Tazzy Animal Rescue Fund, which is a non-profit that rescues dogs, gets them medical attention and helps them find good homes.
Listen on iTunes.
INTRO Welcome to episode six of Myth vs. Craft.
My guest today is the legendary Mike Campbell. He’s a founding member of the Heartbreakers and has been Tom Petty’s guitarist and co-captain since 1970.
Mike’s songwriting and musicianship are fundamental components of the Heartbreakers’ sound and success. In addition to his work with Tom Petty, he’s collaborated with a who’s who list of artists, including Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Don Henley, Johnny Cash, Stevie Nicks and many more.
In my opinion, Mike is the most underrated guitarist in rock music. I’m embarrassed to admit that I was guilty of this myself. Though I grew up listening to his music, it wasn’t until 2011 that I had my eureka moment with Mike.
I was watching TV and came across the Soundstage special with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. As I watched them perform two things hit me: (1) it was unbelievable how many great songs this band was playing—hearing them back-to-back really hammered home the depth and quality of their catalogue—and (2), Mike Campbell’s guitar playing was as tasteful & impeccable as I’d seen.
On every single song, Mike managed to somehow play exactly what the song needed, no more and no less. My admiration for him went through the roof that night, and as you can imagine, I was thrilled when he agreed to be a guest on this show.
I spoke with Mike a few days after he played a fundraiser for the Tazzy Animal Rescue Fund. Tazzy is a phenomenal non-profit that rescues dogs, gets them medical attention and helps them find good homes. This year they started rescuing dogs from shelters and training them to be placed with veterans suffering from PTSD, a physical injury or simply in need of the companionship that only a dog can provide.
I hope you find a moment to visit their website at www.tazzyfund.com and consider making a donation to rescue dogs and help veterans get back on their feet.
Here is my conversation with Mike.

Update on homeless woman’s dog, ‘Bobo’. There is an important update about Bobo, the dog with the swollen muzzle who belongs to a homeless woman in California. On Friday, the Facebook page, Maria Sanchez and the pups of SBC Shelter (Save the Squishies) announced that Bobo had been located and he was en route to an emergency veterinary hospital. Within the past hour, the latest on his condition was posted to the page followers: Bobo Update this morning from Leilani @Tazzy Fund’s Rescue (she is coordinating all of his medical): He has been sleeping a lot, he is resting real comfortable. He has an E collar on because he does not like to be examined or touched. He keeps trying to rip out his catheter. They can’t muzzle him when needed because of his face so they’re just leaving the E collar on. He keeps trying to rip out his catheter. The doctor is consulting with the surgeon to see if we are going to do a CAT scan and see if there is any chance of opening his airways and nostrils more for more comfortable breathing. Please stay tuned for more updates as soon as I receive them, I will share. Thank you to everyone who is praying for him, he is just so loved. The senior pit bull has been living the Riverside area with his owner, who is homeless – his veterinary needs have not been addressed, as is painfully evident by his shocking appearance. Though a diagnosis has not yet been made, it appears that Bobo may be suffering from some type of advanced cancer. Fundraising efforts for Bobo can be found at this link. https://www.youcaring.com/bobothepitbull-772415#goto-fundraiser-details Video here: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1659830854044149&id=523520627675183&_rdr Prior article about Bobo here. https://petrescuereport.com/2017/advocates-helping-homeless-womans-dog-grotesquely-swollen-face/
