Remember that Grade 1 Monster, the Steel Feathered Hawk? The one Cale called "Noonim" in Earth 2? That was a hawk, and Cale called it Noonim.

I seriously laugh whenever I remember the fact that Cale slapped WS but laments that only 2-4 people saw it, namely Alberu, Mila, Hannah and Jack iirc since Choi Han was blasted out the window lmao. In reaction fics, while seemingly quite a long time to wait for, this is really one of the scenes that I hope they'll react to. How they react to Alberu knowing that Cale have gone Crazy, Mila's comments, Jack's comments. I mean we got a share of Hannah's POV. Why not the two. I can't not laugh whenever I think of this scene.

Oh gosh I wanna cry. The fact that Cale recognized most of his issues is a sign that he's trying to grow. The fact that he's slowly healing.

I love how in tcf, Cale's family reminds everyone that Cale is human too. That time when Eruhaben said to that knight in Caro Kingdom that Caro Kingdom is not Cale's responsibility, that time where Alberu thought that he should correct the mindset of the people about Cale being omnipotent, and lastly, how his family and allies wanted to break the image that Cale is unshakeable.

Sometimes when listening/reading hfy, space orc stories etc. The human says like a quote with god in it or related and I'm hit with the fact that the author is Christian
Like nothing against it
But it's kinda weird to think that Christianity would survive that long, inmean ither religions are old as well and like wouldnt it be nice to have some variety sometimes??
I know that most people prob don't even consider it or want to do research, but some small hints shouldn't be that hard
Like, an alien asking his human crewmate if they wear a headscarf at all times to prevent hairs clogging up the vents or smth, and said human saying it's for religious reasons
Or dietary restrictions that are of choice, alien having recently learned about some humans can be allergic to some shit and then asking his friend if they are, because aparently humans can even develop allergies against something like meat and them just explaining it.
And like all of these things don't have to be big at all
A small throwaway comment here or there
Idk I would find it nice and I'm not even religious

Where are the angst fics
The bad endings
Where is "the WS force feeds Cale, Raons or Eruhabens heart"

Adem Asil recently gave a long interview to a magazine and I've translated it, not word for word as some topics were visited twice and I compiled everything a bit but there's some nice tidbits about his past and insight into key career moments.
He started gymnastics due to his 3 year older brother. Made the Egyptian national team around 13-14 years old. Says Alexandria is a great city for youth, although he couldn’t enjoy it as much because of training but he has no regrets. After he competed at 2017 Worlds for Egypt, his coach at the time, Yevgeny Kozin, left Egypt for Turkey and later asked Adem if he would like to come to Turkey as well. His coach and TCF invited Adem for a week trial which led to TCF offering him a spot on the Turkish team. He decided to leave Egypt because he was very determined but he didn’t feel supported by EGF and says they realized just how serious he was when he decided to leave. He says with that decision his career took a more professional turn because his way of thinking changed. His goals grew and he started working harder. He did feel lonely when he first moved to Turkey but in the training hall this feeling disappeared. Right from the start the other guys took him in and they started going out together etc. as well. Language was of course a big issue but teammates encouraged him to talk and develop his Turkish. And above all he was very focused on gymnastics and knew this was the right path so he didn’t look back.
It was very frustrating to not be able to compete for several years because of his nationality change and then the pandemic but he tried to channel it into getting better and better. He was very eager to make his name be heard around Europe, around the world. His bronze medal on high bar at 2021 Euros proved his potential. It motivated him a lot, and he continued training thinking of fixing his mistakes, aiming to place higher and higher.
At Tokyo 2020, he knew he had competitive vaults and was thinking that if he could replicate his training vaults in competition he’d be a medal contender. After the first vault he thought “Wow!” but didn’t look at the score. He focused intensely on the second vault and he thinks it would have been better to let go a bit and do “just enough”, but he tried to get even more height and didn’t spot the landing well because of it. He was pretty upset about how he could’ve been an Olympic champion and everyone would be surprised because his name wasn’t well known yet. But the fall strengthened him to practice more. Eurosport named his vault as one of the best 5 gymnastics skills at the Olympics and he was very happy to hear that, it’s pleasing to see people like watching his performances.
When he got silver on rings at Munich 2022 Euros, he was happy it’s a higher placement than bronze and made him think “I’m here and I’m working in the right direction”. Being 0.1 behind Eleftherios Petrounias, seeing that he was uneasy by Adem’s score who went up before him was very important. He says Lefteris congratulated him and laughs, saying he prefers to keep the details of the encounter to himself. There’s great sportsmanship among rings specialists. They all know everyone is doing incredibly difficult work and small mistakes determine the winner. His medal also instilled a feeling of “I’m ready for more” before Worlds.
At Liverpool 2022, he was a top rings contender and was dreaming of a medal. After his success at Euros he was feeling the judges’ respect. The moment he landed his dismount, the felt he did great and knew it was going to be enough to get on the podium. His joy was a very natural reaction, in that moment all his sacrifices, the years of hard work and being away from his family raced through his mind.
He's been away from his family for around 5 years. He wants to visit them very much but could never find a suitable time, nor could his family come to see him. He also wanted to have achieved a big victory before returning home. Now going home with a gold Worlds medal will be an immense pride.
The interviewer says that when they interviewed İbrahim Çolak after his rings title in 2019, he had said that had there been a previous World champion from Turkey, they’d have someone to look up to and maybe they’d have started winning medals earlier. Adem is asked an example like İbrahim has helped him. He says it had a huge impact because back in Egypt he was unquestionably number one and there was no competition to drive him. In Turkey, training with more experienced gymnasts that were World champions, Olympians pushed him forward and changed his mindset. He asked them what they did, what they thought before getting on the apparatus to compete. They are like brothers not only with İbrahim but the whole team. With İbrahim they pick a rings skill and challenge each other to do it. Or with Ferhat they do a stick challenge. This kind of friendly rivalry makes training enjoyable. They’re a brotherhood in the sport and outside of it as well, they share everything with each other.
At Worlds he withdrew from the AA final because the rings final was just the next day and AA finals are exhausting. Although he has a strong AA program and likes to compete all the apparatuses, he knew he didn’t have a shot at an AA medal in this field and decided to focus on EF. He would love to win a major AA medal but his potential and desire is greater on rings and vault.
His childhood dreams were to become a World and Olympic champion. Paris 2024 is the most prominent goal now. As a team they’ve had a great year, winning the Mediterranean Games team title, bronze at Euros. They’re very lucky to have a strong team together, the only problems are injuries and that’s the nature of sports. But if they are able to go to the Olympics with everyone at their peak, they wish to win a team medal. They have individual goals as well but most of all want team success. Adem says there wasn’t such an atmosphere in Egypt and he’s thankful for his current teammates for making him feel this team spirit.

Book your hassle free Canada PR Visa Application
Tumblr media
Canada is a country situated in North America. It is a safe, stable and growing country and rated one of the best places to work and settle. Every year, it receives ample applications from different parts of the world for Canada immigration. From 2020 to 2023, Canada will welcome more than one million new immigrants, our Canada Immigration consultants is committed to keeping things simple and hassle free.
CANADA IMMIGRATION/CANADA PR Visa Programs 2021 -2023
Canada Immigration programs are going to be very dynamic as well as accommodating. Despite the global coronavirus pandemic, Canada has set a target of welcoming over 400,000 new immigrants per year, beginning in the year 2021.
Canada is committed to process immigration applications to the best of its ability. The department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) continues to welcome new immigration applications and is processing as many of them as it can so that immigrants can come to Canada during and after the pandemic. Express Entry draws continue to occur approximately every two weeks with candidates all over the world receiving permanent residence invitation
One of the most important steps in the Canada migration procedure is to secure a good score in language proficiency test like IELTS (International English Language Testing System).  Besides IELTS, other language proficiency tests approved by IRCC for Canada immigration are:
For the English Language:
CELPIP: Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program
For French Language:
TEF Canada: Test d’evaluation de francais
TCF Canada: Test de connaissance du francais
Benefits of Having a Canada PR Visa.
Major benefits for those who become Canadian permanent residents:
·        A Booming economy with lots of jobs
·        Excellent medical and health care treatment for free
·        Free high-quality education ( To All Children Under Age of 18)
·        A safe and pollution free country with a lot of space
·        Social services and social security benefits
·        A multicultural and welcoming society Visa
·        Opportunity to invite parent’s post-settlement.
  Maximum Age for Canadian Immigration?
There is no specific age limit requirement for any Canadian immigration program. That said, in most categories of economic immigration, applicants 25-35 receive the maximum points. That doesn’t mean older applicants cannot be selected. Having substantial work experience, high language proficiency, connections to Canada, and advanced education can easily offset any points lost for age in economic immigration.
Family sponsorship and humanitarian and refugee immigration to Canada do not use a ranking system and therefore do not have any penalties for age whatsoever.
Is it Easy to Immigrate to Canada?
With over 80 pathways of immigration, Canada has a range of options for all types of applicants. That said, moving to a new country requires some effort. Some immigration programs require higher qualifications and more documents than others. Using the services of a Canadian immigration lawyer can greatly assist in the immigration process from start to finish.
Canadian immigration lawyers are the point of contact with the government for your application. They handle the submission of your application and advise you on the documents you need, the ones you might want to include, and the documents you should not provide.
Do I Need a Job Offer to Immigrate to Canada?
No. The vast majority of all Canadian permanent residents do not have a job offer in Canada when they apply. While some Canadian immigration programs require applicants to have a Canadian job offer, there are a range of programs and options available to foreign nationals without an offer of employment in Canada.
Fastest Way to Immigrate to Canada?
The fastest method of immigrating to Canada is through Express Entry. Express Entry processes most applications in six months or less.
 Express Entry
Under Canada Immigration programs, ‘the express entry Immigration program ‘  is a system through which ,the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) uses to manage applications for three major federal skilled worker immigration programs.
·        Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
·        Federal Skilled Trades (FST)
·        Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
As well, many provinces operate Provincial Nomination Programs (PNPs) streams that are aligned with Express Entry. Candidates who are eligible for one of the programs managed by Express Entry must submit a profile to the Express Entry pool.
All Express Entry candidates are then assigned a score based on their profile using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), regardless of the program for which they are eligible. This score is based on various criteria, including age, education, language proficiency, work experience, and connections to Canada. The highest-ranking candidates are issued invitations to apply for permanent residence in periodic Express Entry draws. Once invited, processing times are as fast as 6 months.
Federal Skilled Worker
All Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) candidates must have a minimum of one year of skilled work experience. However, this program does not require a connection to Canada, so it can be an ideal immigration option for foreign nationals living outside of Canada. Please note that the program does have strict eligibility requirements regarding work experience, level of education, age, and language proficiency.
Federal Skilled Trades
In order to qualify for the Federal Skilled Trades (FST) program, candidates must have at least two years of work experience in a skilled trade. This experience must have been obtained within the previous 5 years. As well, eligible candidates must have either an offer of full-time employment for a position lasting at least 12-months or a certificate of qualification in their skilled trade which is issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority.
Canadian Experience Class
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an economic immigration program which requires some Canadian experience. Candidates must have at least 12 months of full-time, skilled work experience, completed in Canada within the previous 3 years. This program is not an option for foreign nationals who do not possess this Canadian experience.

Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS) moved to September 2021
Motor shows are struggling to survive in the era of the coronavirus (no one passed the memo to Beijing though), and the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) – the traditional curtain raiser in the big motor show circuit – was among the ones to wave the white flag to Covid-19 earlier this year.
The 2020 edition of NAIAS was supposed to be a new chapter for the show, with a mid-year slot in June instead of a wintery January, but as Covid-19 cases mounted, the show’s downtown venue (TCF Center) was instead used as a field hospital for coronavirus patients.
The reason that organisers Detroit Auto Dealers Association moved the show from January to the summer was so it could offer outdoor events along the riverfront, including test drives, demonstrations of self-driving cars and other new tech, plus the Motor Bella, a pre-show street festival of English and Italian cars in downtown Detroit. All that will be carried forward to the 2021 show, they said then.
And so it will, but NAIAS 2021 will no longer be in the summer. The new dates are from September 28 to October 9, but the indoor and outdoor plan remains.
“We have talked with many of our partners, particularly the OEMs, and they are fully on board and excited about the date change. Our responsibility as an auto show is to host a global stage for current products as well as mobility innovations of tomorrow. September is an excellent time of year for new product, and at the same time, alleviates the challenges a now crowded spring auto show calendar presents for auto show stakeholders,” NAIAS executive director Rod Alberts said.
Moving forward, NAIAS will remain a fall show, and dates have already been secured with TCF Center for the next three years, organisers say. They added that late September was chosen with the new IAA in Munich in mind. The German motor show is scheduled for the first full week of September.
“Spreading out major auto shows is a win for everyone, particularly our partners. It gives auto companies an opportunity to give it their best at each and every show, which creates excitement for those who attend, too,” Alberts added.
“With seasonable autumn temperatures and technology and experiential activations positioned throughout the city, show visitors will be able to enjoy fall in a walkable, vibrant Motor City while embracing the future of the industry right before their eyes,” said 2021 NAIAS chairman Doug North, who added that the Detroit event will include dynamic displays and experiential ride-and-drives. The NAIAS campus will include product and technology activations both inside TCF Center and throughout the Michigan city.
NAIAS will continue to host seven shows in one: Motor Bella, The Gallery, Press Preview, AutoMobili-D, Industry Preview, Charity Preview and Public Show.

Postponed Detroit Auto Show Now Canceled, With Future in Doubt
It’s been a tough week for Detroit, with the president yapping at US automakers to produce ventilators, shields, and masks faster. Now the date-shifted North American International Auto Show is kaput for 2020. Last held in January 2019 and slated this year for June 2020, the show organizers called it off when it became likely the downtown convention center, TCF Arena, would be requisitioned for use as a FEMA field hospital to support hospitals overtaxed treating coronavirus patients over the summer.
The show has now been reset for June 2021 as a convention-center auto show, plus rites-of-spring outdoor events along the Detroit River.
Detroit’s convention center, Cobo Hall, in 2018, now called TCF Center, after the frozen yogurt company. Sorry, we meant bank. TCF has 300 branches, about 10 times as many as TCBY has flavors.
Auto Shows in Free-Fall Before the Pandemic
It has been a tough year and a half for auto shows. How tough?
Detroit, the North American International Auto Show, was most recently held in January 2018. Where it’s cold and snows. A couple of times in the past two decades, auto execs and press people were stranded in Detroit because Detroit Metro Airport was snowed in. Journos had nothing to do … except write snarky articles. The show was reset for June 2020, a 17-month gap, and now it’s off until 2021.
It is obvious so let’s say it explicitly: The #IAA2019 is a huge fail. It’s just a sad shadow of what it used to be. There will not be an #IAA2021. End of story. KTN
— Karl-Thomas Neumann (@KT_Neumann) September 11, 2019
The world’s most important show, Frankfurt (IAA), saw attendance fall at the odd-years-only  September 2019 show from 931,700 in 2015 to 810,000 in 2017 to just 561,000. Opel board member Karl-Thomas Neumann called it a “huge fail.” (Isn’t it nice when businessmen speak their minds, even if it annoys the Frankfurt Convention Bureau?) Sponsors put the 2021 show’s location out for bid. The commercial vehicles show continues in Hannover in September 2020. For the auto show, Munich won over Berlin, Hamburg, and three others for the next show in the fall of 2021.
The Los Angeles Auto Show went off in November 2019 and generally did well, in part because of its heavy emphasis on alternative-energy vehicles. Also, LA is a nice place for auto execs and the media to be heading into winter. LA is the de facto auto capital of the Americas because of design and tech centers in SoCal and Silicon Valley, plus the number of international automakers with US headquarters there. Unlike in Detroit, there’s no hometown bias in the media coverage. LA took on a life of its own when it gave up its early January date in 2006 for November/December. For now, the 2020 show is still on, Nov. 18-29. LA’s biggest problem is the convention center is small and cut into two halls that are a five-minute walk apart.
The Chicago Auto Show, the fourth of the three major US auto shows, went off Feb. 13-21, 2020 and was the last major or mid-major auto show to be held. For impact, Chicago ranks just behind the three international US shows – Detroit, New York, LA – but is the envy of the others for the best show facility, McCormick Place. It’s the one US site that can handle a million visitors. Should that many people show up for an auto exposition in the near future.
The Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) was slated for March 2-15, just as the expanse of the coronavirus epidemic in China became evident. Automakers had been pulling their top execs back from the show, and days before the Swiss government banned gatherings of more than 1,000 people, which ended the show. Geneva is considered one of the Big Five auto shows of the world – Frankfurt, Geneva, Detroit, Paris, Tokyo – but its attendance slipped in previous years. Non-participants included Cadillac, Ford, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Citroen, Opel, Vauxhall, Subaru, Tata, Tesla, and Volvo. But the show went on, online: Virtually every automaker with a major introduction live-streamed the rollout from headquarters.
The New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), scheduled every year starting the Wednesday before Easter (April 8) and running a week and a half, postponed the show to one of the least desirable times of the year, the week and a half leading up to Labor Day weekend. Press days are Aug. 26-27, with public days through Sept. 6. Greater New York is one of three sales hotspots for luxury cars along with SoCal and Miami, but Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz said they’ll skip the show.
The Paris Motor Show, Oct. 1-11, just announced the main part of the show has been canceled. For now, off-site events are planned: Movin’On and Smart City.
The Tokyo Motor Show, Oct. 22-Nov. 2, has made no announcement of plans for this year.
Happier days: Steve McQueen’s exuberant granddaughter Molly McQueen, in 2018 at the rollout of the new Ford Bullitt Mustang, done in the same Dark Highland Green as in the 1968 movie.
Detroit’s Tough-Luck Story Gets Tougher
Detroit 2018 press days: Selfies against the Detroit River next to Cobo Hall with (we’re not sure) clouds reflected in the water. Or ice floes.
It has been a difficult week for the auto show, Michigan-based automakers, and the state’s economy. Detroit will now be going almost two and a half years between shows. More than any other city and show, the automakers and auto dealers have used NAIAS to remind themselves of past glory: when US automakers sold half the cars in the US and when GM alone sold half the cars (1962).
Even as market share shifted away from the Big Three – GM, Ford, and the Chrysler-Ram-Dodge part of FCA – Michigan remains the auto engineering capital of the Americas. When the automakers shed employees in the past 20 years, many of them went to work for big US suppliers such as Magna or Lear, or international suppliers with big presences: Bosch, Denso, Continental, ZF, Aisin, Hyundai and the like. At the same time, the era of Rust Belt assembly line jobs paying $30 an hour is gone and will never come back. Manufacturing growth, with factory workers making $15-$20 an hour to start, is in the new south: the Carolinas, Georgia Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas. Plus Tesla in California using a former Toyota/GM plant to build a small-scale EV company in one with the largest market value outside Toyota.
A GM technician setting up and testing machinery to produce Level 1 face masks in Warren, Michigan. GM will ramp to 50,000 masks per day within two weeks, and later to 100,000 if there’s need. (Probably will be.)
Meanwhile, POTUS Blasts GM
This should have been a good-news story week about automakers pitching in to help fight coronavirus (as have many industries). Ford, GM, and Chrysler (FCA) are recalling employees to build masks, face shields, and even respirators. At the same time, the White House has been praising and then criticizing the automakers for not being in production already.
Friday President Trump castigated GM and CEO Mary Barra for slow-walking production plans to build ventilators. This was the event where the president said both “General Motors” and “General Electric” in the same extended sentence and described the federal relief package as “$2.2 billion …. $2.2 trillion.” GE does make ventilators through its healthcare unit. GM is partnering with Ventec Life Systems. Insiders at GM and Ventec said the past week was not GM stalling, but cutting red tape and expediting parts ordering, finding the best-skilled workers, and getting plants ready. According to a story in Tuesday’s New York Times:
President Trump on Friday accused G.M. and its chief executive, Mary T. Barra, of dragging their feet on the project and directed his administration to force the company to make ventilators under a 1950s law. But accounts from five people with knowledge of the automaker’s plans depict an attempt by G.M. and its partner, Ventec Life Systems, a small maker of ventilators, to accelerate production of the devices.
With deaths surging as cases snowball, the two companies have moved urgently to find parts, place orders and deploy workers, the people said. Tasks that normally would take weeks or months have been completed in days. The companies expect production to begin in three weeks and the first ventilators to ship before the end of April.
Why automakers? They have big assembly lines that are the opposite of clean rooms. But they also have smaller, cleaner prototype rooms and rapid-development assembly areas that can, and will be, repurposed. One of the things automakers do well is source parts from third parties.
In the making of a car, we’re almost a century removed from the Ford River Rouge plant, where freighters docked at the 900-acre factory with iron ore and a finished Model A came out the other end. Instead, an automaker may produce the highest-value items itself, typically engines, and outsource tires, wheels, transmissions, infotainment, and driver-assist electronics, sometimes even body panels.
I always treated the Chinese Virus very seriously, and have done a very good job from the beginning, including my very early decision to close the “borders” from China – against the wishes of almost all. Many lives were saved. The Fake News new narrative is disgraceful & false!

Some outside the administration allege that the executive branch is pressing GM, and many others, to light a fire now in order to make up for lost time responding in January. Multiple reports say the CDC and national security advisors in January described the coronavirus as out of control and on the way to being a pandemic – an epidemic that reaches much of the world.
Regardless, protective equipment and ventilators will begin flowing soon from automaker factories and other sources. At the same time, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff are stuck reusing old masks or creating makeshift protection until the so-called “arsenal of health” starts flowing. And with no end in sight for people suffering from Covid-19, there won’t be many auto shows, large or small, in the near future.
