this is one of my favorite theses in the inkworld each way it plays out is so!!

elinor's dad valued his books over her and her sisters to the point she internalizes it and becomes the same kind of hermit he was, before and after the folcharts come back into her life. basta was groomed into believing he was inherently unlovable except by capricorn so he'd do anything to keep that small remaining amount of love. brianna realizes if dustfinger wasn't dead then he had to have abandoned her, so the next person to give her their full attention? she'll throw away every other relationship she has for them, the same way she was thrown away. the verbal abuse violante endured as a kid (and currently, because 19 is still a kid) influenced the kind of mother she is and she doesn't even realize until it's almost too late that she's done to jacopo what the adder did to her! and I've already talked about the physical abuse from farid's birth family influencing how he forms severely anxious relationships.

and none of these are just character padding! all of these characters influence the plot so heavily by becoming traumatized and by working through it and I don't have any idea how she pulled it off

hahaha remember the 'name my character' thing? Yeah, I kind of wrote it. Yeah, I have other stuff to do. No, I don't know if I'll even do anything with this. I kind of don't care. I've proclaimed April as my month of fun before I get into TCOR, which I plan to rewrite (second draft) in May/June/summer.

Wake up new TCOR oc just dropped This is Goriah, he's the main villain to my story :) but I headcannon he sounds like Barnaby from Billie Bust Up. now, Jazz infodumps;

Where do i even start with this man. Goriah isn't traumatized, he isn't broken, he isn't misunderstood, he just thinks the Omniverse needs a total reset, and wants to summon an ancient dragon known as Magnus Devotor to do just that. Magnus Devotor is this massive Dragon, much larger than an entire universe, and Magnus just Eats the universes.

(Ignore the thing in the corner, outdated size comparison) This Is Magnus Devotor, having to be killed by the concept of creation himself to end his hunger induced wrath. Goriah, and several other Purple Neonics built a cult following magnus, in which, Goriah manages to make a deal with magnus, that causes all purple neonics to become hosts for magnus to soothe his hunger

Some Examples of neonics turned into hosts for magnus. these are referred as great hungers.

Magnus posesses masks of magical presence, and basically turns the wearers of those masks into hosts for himself, forcing them to do his bidding. he however, must be on the mask, so how does he do that? (Isacc is old art)

He takes the form of a GODAMN SNAIL. not only that, he conceals everything that his body radiates, making him seem like a normal snail.

He starts by just using his powers to make the victims hallucinate, hear and see twisted reflections of themself that say that they wish to take control of their bodies

then, he makes it impossible to remove the mask off the body of the one possessed, at least, the possessed being able to take it off. He makes them think the snail is their friend.

When theyre weak from his mind games, he takes over their body, and uses their personality to act like they're the one doing those crimes. he uses their bodies to do his bidding.

Whenever he's done, he gets off the mask, finds somewhere hidden to turn into another animal, and go find his next host.

The victim however, is left in a state of not knowing what happened when they were possessed, and are horridly confused.

Isacc is the first notable host for Goriah, Isacc did horrible things whilst possessed, this includes but is not limited to;

Abusing his son

Causing someone Isacc was friends with to loose his mind

Kill his own family

When Goriah left Isacc's body, Isacc was left in a state where he had no idea what he did, or why everyone he screwed over hates him.

And Goriah doesn't care. he's doing what he wants to get what he desires, that is to awaken magnus.
